This is my first time trying Zinos in Madison heights. I was hankering for a good Italian sandwich. The super Italian grinder was true to its word. It was super. I ordered the large one because I was hungry, but I was full after the first half and enjoyed it the second day just as much. The place is obviously a pizza joint but I would recommend the sandwiches for sure. The staff for friendly when I came in and my order was ready just on time. If I have any negatives to say about this, it would be the options for ordering online or many, so you don't know really which one you should use. Of course is that a bad thing? read more

Used to be a go to for Chicago style pizza; the quality has gone really downhill. The pepperoni is no longer legit pepperoni, but some kind of sliced mystery meat that I wouldn't eat with my worst enemies mouth. The mushrooms, canned and absolutely terrible. Best Pizza in town, nobody else comes close. The people here are fantastic and the food is second to none. Pickup area is clean and easy to navigate. I haven't tried delivery yet but my neighbors say it's great. If you're in the area, don't pass this place up. read more

I got the special sub which included ham and turkey and bacon. I was out in Madison heights and stumbled across this place. It was the most delicious sandwich or sub that I've ever had at a very very fair price. I will check out their Livonia location soon read more

We started to use Zino's on the recommendation of another friend in the area. Both of us used to frequent Tony Baloney's, but Zino's is closer and "friendlier." The sandwiches are identical (at least to us) and we've yet to get anything we didn't love. There's construction in the area (where isn't there?) that made it a little tough to get there this last time, but that's not their fault. We highly recommend Zino's for subs/party subs. read more

We tried the subs from Zino's and the were fantastic! The have a large menu to select from which made choosing pretty tough. I went the the Greek Chicken which was tasty and full of chicken and toppings but not in an impossible way to eat. We ordered online and did have to wait for a bit so next time I think we'd order ahead of when we were at a super hungry point. Hope to try some other menu items in the future! read more

First time visit and we tried the Zino's (signature) sub, a meatball sub, salad and a thin crust pizza between all of us. The subs were the reason we tried this place and both were delicious and devoured without photos. The pizza was a bonus try as I'm still on the lookout for my goto pizza. And this was definitely a contender! The crust was a thin, hand tossed, but evenly done, with a good ratio of sauce, cheese and toppings. And we ate most of it reheated and it was good. The salad had an enormous amount of bacon on it, and in fairness, eaten a day later. And it was alright. I'd definitely try another salad next time. But, I don't think salads would be what brings me back. But, for the subs, I'll absolutely be back! read more

Good pizza, kind of typical style for a local independent pizza shop. No "deals" or coupons though, so our usual family order here is about $14 more than the same order at similar pizzerias. Because of that Zino's doesn't make it into our rotation very often. I'd say if they're open and you're close, you won't be disappointed with the food. Zino's hits a lot of things on my list - a good round pizza, good sauce, order and pay online, and inexpensive without a coupon! So far we have only had the round pizza and the cheese bread, but it's so good that it's hard to try any of the other items despite a lot of things on the menu sounding really good. The sauce is really nice, and they definitely give you a good amount of cheese on the pizza and the bread. The dogs are always happy when we order because I usually have a little left over cheese for them because it can sometimes be too much for me, but either way I wouldn't change my order. I like the feta on the bread, and the ranch is pretty delicious too. Online ordering is so nice and a breeze to do. You even have the option of adding toppings to only half the pizza and choosing flavored crust. It may be our new go to for pizza nights! read more

I stopped here on a whim because I was in this area. So glad I did! I ordered a large cheese bread with extra cheese and it smells so heavenly garlicky delicious!! Surprisingly not like most places all burnt iron the bottom, but rather fluffy doughy goodness!! The staff is very friendly and accommodating as well. I'm not what you would call a pizza LOVER. I'm more like "oh, pizza, cool." I fucking LOVE THIS PIZZA!! I don't know if it's the crust, or the quality of the toppings, or maybe the crack they sprinkle on the crust (relax, I kid), but I crave this pizza. The Hawaiian is to die for. Their cheese bread and subs are legendary.....HOWEVER ordered the award winning 2 foot party sub for the Super Bowl and it was not even close to the pic on there home yelp page. That thing is loaded with meat and crap and ours looked like the typical subway party sub with way too much bread and minimal meat. I will try again this year and show them their photo and say I want THAT This time. Their cheese bread and regular subs are incredible though. The homemade bread is so tasty and the cheese bread has that cheese pull that goes for 3 feet when you take it out of the box!! So disappointed in this place. We love to support local businesses, and going off reviews we thought this place could be our new pizza spot...until tonight. We ordered a pizza and bread, came home opened the box and it was sooooo burnt, the pizza crust and half of the pizza was hard and tough to eat, the pepperoni was mostly black and fried to a crisp, If i made that pizza i would of thrown it away and just made a different one instead of serving it to a customer. So I would like to share my story about my visit at Zino's today. I am a weekly customer for their sandwiches until today. I myself was in the pizza business for 15 years as a franchisee for a large pizza chain so I'm well aware of customer service. Their hours on Saturday are 11am to 11pm, and I arrived at 11:37 am. Their front door was wide open with a big bold sign on their front door that states "open for lunch." As I walked in I asked "you guys open?" And I was greeted with a response of "well, kind of" " I have a $1200 grad party order I'm working on." He also stated they were behind on the order. He gave me a look and a response for someone walking in the door to spend their weekly money that I was a burden and not welcome. As I smiled and said ok, he looked back at me and knew he messed up as I walked out. No one came out to say any thing or make sure they could help me. Maybe I should understand from their side, but I will tell you that who's to say that I in the future would not place an order of that size? Your a small business trying to be successful and the best advice I can give you guys moving forward is never, ever, turn down money walking into your store. Zino's has consistently good pizza. They always have great deals going on. This time I got a large one topping pizza for 5.00 (it's customer appreciation weekend). Definitely get the garlic butter Parmesan crust as well. The service is always great. I will definitely continue to come here for pizza and also plan to try the subs soon. I ordered a deep dish Chicago last year and simply wasn't a fan. I didn't bother coming back until my buddy showed me a pic of the grinders and I bookmarked to try again. I popped in and ordered a steak grinder. It did take about 15 minutes, and to be honest I wasn't expecting a great deal. Once I got it to my car and opened it I was amazed by the smell and look. I had to take a bite immediately and I'm glad I did. The first think I notice is how fresh, crunchy and chewy the bread is. It is awesome. The rest of the sandwich is good, pretty standard, but the bread. I'm not sure this bread has a long shelf life but if you can get one and enjoy after purchase, you can't be anything but happy. read more

DON'T SUPPORT. Won't be back.. I've gone to pick up my pizza (30 mins after they've said 20) MORE THAN ONCE only to have them confused, scramble on their computer and tell me "yeah it's gonna be 20 mins.." Hah WHAT? Then you get to sit and wait in this this gross, grungy single seat they have in store while you wait, and wait and wait some more. Dude, I called you an hour ago.... The staff couldn't give less of a F about your food, experience; or basically anything... anywho, they're open til 10pm (stated online, and they legitimately are/should be) well, these days, staff makes up their own hours. Last Wednesday, I picked up a pizza from them at 9:20pm, no problem. This week I call at 9 (like I said, they're open til 10pm) the girl employee picks up and just says "Zino's, we're closed". Hah, no you're not? This place wasn't even great to begin with, now the employees wanna close up shop nearly an hour early? I used to kinda like supporting this dirty, less than stellar bullshit establishment. But when the workers have lost all sight of integrity and store hours. We love Zino's. We order from them at least 2-3 times a month for various menu items and are always more than pleased with our order. We even had them cater our daughters birthday party. Everyone wanted to know where we got the pizza, salads and pasta from! It won't be the last catered party. We ordered a couple round pizzas and a Zino's Blend Bread with feta on it. Their sauce is great, they top their pizzas well and they have the tiny pepperonis that are hard to find. The crust was pretty spot on too. I'd like to try their Detroit style and their Chicago stuffed but we liked what we had delivered. Absolutely excellent subs/grinders here at Zino's. I came across them when looking for different sandwich and pizza places on Yelp which were highly rated. I decided to try them out when I saw the pictures showed their sandwiches looked like grinder-type. I am definitely glad I did! The sandwiches are excellent. Great ingredients and the bread is delicious. We tried the Zino Super, Spicy Italian and Italian Sausage subs. All were outstanding. Especially liked the flavor of the Italian Sausage. Pleasantly surprising. We also saw that the pasta salad was "award winning", so we decided we must try it as well to find out if this was true. Well, all I can say is that if it has not won an award yet, it definitely should! Absolutely delicious. We now order it every time. Definitely give it a try if you like pasta salad. You will not be disappointed. The only reason I've given a 4-star instead of 5-star rating is because I was not a fan of the thin-crust pizza we had ordered. It wasn't bad at all, just wasn't what I was hoping for in a thin-crust pizza. I'm used to Chicago-style thin-crust as opposed to the typical Papa-Johns-style thin crust that is mostly served here in SE Michigan. When I saw Zino's had Chicago-style stuffed pizza, I thought their thin-crust would be Chicago style as well. Alas, it was not. Again, it wasn't bad, just wasn't the Chicago-style thin crust I love. That said, we have yet to try the Chicago stuffed pizza. We plan to remedy this on our next order. If I find they do a great job with that, I'll have to update my review to 5-star. Until then though, I can only say that I highly, highly recommend the sandwiches/subs and the pasta salad. Absolutely excellent, outstanding and delicious. read more
