I cannot say how many times over the years I've driven by this place and told myself I was going to try it. I've been wanting a good sub that wasn't from a chain and drove by the other day. Today my husband and I decided to order. I called the order in because I had a question. The gentleman was VERY pleasant and friendly. We ordered two Italian subs and they were really good! The lunchmeat was not skimped on and the roll was good. We got sides of both the Italian dressing and oil and oregano. I tried portions of the sub with both and liked them equally. My husband preferred the dressing (it is not homemade). When I picked it up, the girl who handed me the order was also very pleasant and friendly. We will definitely be ordering again! read more

Stop #2 on the Summer of pizza tour. I had to stop in at work which is in Troy so we decided to drive to Clawson and try Perry's. This was our go-to pizza place when we lived in Clawson. Everyone needs a go-to place to order from on those busy days, and Perry's is it for Clawson. Got a Medium with pepperoni and sausage, then a small Perry Bread with mozzarella. The staff is very friendly - the inside is exactly what you'd want from a local joint that's takeout/delivery only. I ordered the Italian sub and he ordered the pizza sub. There was a TON of lettuce on it and it was over baked, leaving the bun hard in spots and a little burned on top. After taking some of the lettuce off, it tasted great, but I did have to avoid eating some of the bun. Eric's was also a little over-baked. He said the flavor was really good, though. read more

We have lived in Royal Oak for almost 3 years and have put off ordering from here because we are loyal to our other favorites. We finally decided to give it a try and boy, we were not disappointed. We ordered double cheese (pregnancy craving) and cheese bread sticks. It was delicious and now part of our list of places we will frequent. Carryout was 15 minutes at 5:15 on a Friday and staff was extremely friendly. Ingredients were tasty and everything was delicious. Try it out! I was thinking should I give it five stars or 4 Stars. I mean giving a five stars review to a pizza place, and a take out pizza place at that, sounds kind of crazy huh. Well Perry's Pizza gets five stars from me. It's the toppings man, loaded, fresh, tasty, and plenty of them. Their pizzas are just a little different, they don't skimp, and I like the crust, the thickness is just right on the round, and then I like the butter crust. I've got to give it five stars, I drive by 10 pizza places to get to Perry's. I want to try more on the menu the cheese bread looks good , and the prices aren't bad, and they give you a good sheet of coupons when you pick the pizza up. Yeah the place is a little tricky to get to, and like I said, it's takeout only. But check out Perry's Pizza get the pizza loaded up with toppings, try some butter crust or garlic crust and you could be enjoying some 5 Star Pizza to. I've passed this place countless times over the years and just didn't stop. Shame on me. This place sells really good pizza. I paid 11.00 for a large with two toppings, which is in range for non fast food pizza. Is non fast food pizza a silly statement? Anyway, The crust is crunchy, salty and chewy, plenty of cheese and toppings, and they have flavored crust. As soon as we got the pizza to the house we went to town and our friend went back a day or two after for another. I will be stopping here again very very soon. read more

We got Parmesan butter crust per recommendation and it was spot on. Can't beat that for how much food we got. Only thing my wife and I didn't care for was the pepperoni. The cheese on the pizza is tasty and fairly plentiful. But the sauce and pepperoni and extra flavoring - just don't elevate the pizza above mediocre. And the topping tended to slide off the crust when biting into a piece.
