    Birria tacos with dip
    Chef Will G.

Went to the State Fair and their food truck was there. Noticed they won first place for Savory Dip whatever that means. Birria Tacos Very tasty and comes with dipping sauce rich in flavor. It was very expensive u get three for $18. However all food at the fair is expensive.

Award winning 2023! We found Benito's at the california state fair this year! What a gem. It's authentic it's homemade it's yummy! The service is excellent very personable. Quesabirria tacos!!! My hope is to find them again post state fair for my taco fix!

Food catering which included quesabirria, rice, beans, chicken, carne asada, salsas, tortillas, salads, aqua fresca, and horchata!!

Benito's Taco has never failed to impress me. First time I had their food was at a local park event, which the service was fantastic, food was amazing, and there was no wait! The Quesabirria tacos with the consome are by far my favorite item on their menu! (The horchata being an honorable mention) I introduced my family to Benito's and they instantly fell in love with it as well. In fact, we had Benito's Tacos cater my sisters wedding, as well as a recent company Christmas event (both events having over a 100 people). Benito's brought around 5-6 staff each time and managed to feed everyone with no wait! All of the staff were incredibly nice and I had many people after both events talking about how great the food was!! I HIGHLY recommend giving it a try if you ever have the time. I always find where they are through their instagram @benitos.tacos

Discovered a family owned food truck while visiting from out of town and it was a fantastic find. Tried their must-have birria, packed with flavor, and the consomé is delicious enough to savor alone. I'll absolutely return for more of their incredible food and great service! Friendly note: Refer to their Instagram for location and hours since they do cater at different events. @benitos.tacos

I ordered a carnitas bowl with black beans, rice, and all the toppings you'd typically find in a carnitas burrito, while my wife went with a cheese quesadilla. While waiting for our food, I enjoyed a bottle of Pacifico and some chips and salsa. The salsa had a nice balance, not too spicy and not too mild. The carnitas were tender and flavorful, and the bowl was filling without feeling overly heavy, and my wife was happy with her quesadilla as well. The restaurant has a bright, inviting atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. A couple of tables hadn't been cleaned yet when we arrived, but we quickly found a clean spot and settled in. The food arrived promptly, and overall we had a very enjoyable meal. I'd definitely stop here again.

My evaluation is based on the pollo verde--which was an outstanding flavor at the prior location. I ordered a burrito and there is no flavor in this sauce. It's practically inedible, honestly. Having been a regular at the Peabody location, this is a shocking departure, and I can only assume there was a loss in talent back of the house in the transition. But since a restaurant is only as good as its food, this is a significant loss. I hope something changes, it's wild to have to close the clamshell on a Villa Corona pollo verde burrito, but close it I must. edit: Thanking owner Carlos for his response, but I have to assume it's a different batch than the one I tasted Monday. I've been a big fan of Villa Corona for years and the Peabody location was my spot; but even then I had a strong preference for the pollo verde from that location over the Nut Tree. I'll stop in again for sure, but may have to try some of the sauce with chips before ordering.
