    Birria tacos with dip
    Chef Will G.

Went to the State Fair and their food truck was there. Noticed they won first place for Savory Dip whatever that means. Birria Tacos Very tasty and comes with dipping sauce rich in flavor. It was very expensive u get three for $18. However all food at the fair is expensive.

Award winning 2023! We found Benito's at the california state fair this year! What a gem. It's authentic it's homemade it's yummy! The service is excellent very personable. Quesabirria tacos!!! My hope is to find them again post state fair for my taco fix!

Food catering which included quesabirria, rice, beans, chicken, carne asada, salsas, tortillas, salads, aqua fresca, and horchata!!

Benito's Taco has never failed to impress me. First time I had their food was at a local park event, which the service was fantastic, food was amazing, and there was no wait! The Quesabirria tacos with the consome are by far my favorite item on their menu! (The horchata being an honorable mention) I introduced my family to Benito's and they instantly fell in love with it as well. In fact, we had Benito's Tacos cater my sisters wedding, as well as a recent company Christmas event (both events having over a 100 people). Benito's brought around 5-6 staff each time and managed to feed everyone with no wait! All of the staff were incredibly nice and I had many people after both events talking about how great the food was!! I HIGHLY recommend giving it a try if you ever have the time. I always find where they are through their instagram @benitos.tacos

Discovered a family owned food truck while visiting from out of town and it was a fantastic find. Tried their must-have birria, packed with flavor, and the consomé is delicious enough to savor alone. I'll absolutely return for more of their incredible food and great service! Friendly note: Refer to their Instagram for location and hours since they do cater at different events. @benitos.tacos

Not what I expected unfortunately ... tacos were bland and consommé had no flavor , just very oily.

I ordered a carnitas bowl with black beans, rice, and all the toppings you'd typically find in a carnitas burrito, while my wife went with a cheese quesadilla. While waiting for our food, I enjoyed a bottle of Pacifico and some chips and salsa. The salsa had a nice balance, not too spicy and not too mild. The carnitas were tender and flavorful, and the bowl was filling without feeling overly heavy, and my wife was happy with her quesadilla as well. The restaurant has a bright, inviting atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. A couple of tables hadn't been cleaned yet when we arrived, but we quickly found a clean spot and settled in. The food arrived promptly, and overall we had a very enjoyable meal. I'd definitely stop here again.

I know it's normally…read morenot hard to satisfy the average person, but I cook well and pay attention to detail, so my standards may be a bit higher. I tried this place after hearing good things and ordered the nachos. The chips didn't have much salt or flavor and mostly tasted like fried oil. The meat was a bit dry, tough, and overly salty for my preference. I was also surprised they don't offer pico de gallo. Overall, the dish just didn't have the balance or freshness I was hoping for. One thing that would make a big difference is execution. Great nachos should be layered, whether dine-in or takeout, so that cheese and toppings are distributed throughout instead of only on top. That prevents ending up with dry chips halfway through. At the current price point, a little more attention to layering would really elevate the dish. I also noticed the onions were chopped inconsistently, with some large pieces and some very small ones. More uniform chopping would improve both texture and presentation. Eating out isn't inexpensive, so I naturally look for quality and consistency. This feedback is simply meant to be helpful, not critical. I truly believe small adjustments can make a big difference. For now, I'll stick to cooking at home or visiting some of my favorite out-of-town spots that consistently execute dishes well. Whether it's a small hole-in-the-wall or a high-end restaurant, when a kitchen understands proper technique and balance, it shows. When you know, you know.
