I was told I needed new rear brakes, so I planned to replace them myself on Saturday, 12/29/25. When I went to start the job, my security socket was nowhere to be found. So much for my Saturday project. The shop was closed for the weekend, so I couldn't resolve it. I met with the owner, Dan, on Monday. He ordered a new set of security lugs in hopes that the key would work. It did not. The tech had misplaced my original key during the brake inspection. Needless to say, it was a major inconvenience--and I didn't receive so much as an apology from the owner. This was my experience as a first-time customer. A $50-off coupon will not bring back my business.

The power steering when turning was still broken!!!! I called their store immediately and was told that - well, we told you there was still a bit of a glitch!! They then said it needed a steering gear and that would be another $1500.00. They charged me $2400.00 to replace the steeing pump. My daughter has been helping me get in touch with the owner. That was a week ago - she has tried calling back into the store and he is always "out":...but they said he is working on it. I diagnose your car and let you know how many things are wrong. They said I needed a new battery - my battery wasn't only 6 months old. They lie and take advantage of people and do not stand behind their work or the lack there of!! The Professional Garage was on a list my son pulled up on his phone and thank goodness he did. They helped arrange a tow very quickly and started work on my vehicle immediatly. The first part that was delivered to them from a supplier was a dud - absolutely beyond their control, by that time it was closing time and one of the mechanics went to get a replacement part on his own time. It was a complex repair, and close to closing time next day it was fixed and one of the mechanics offered to drive it to where I was staying. I said I would pick it up in the morning and they then offered to open early so I could leave for home in good time. The cost of repairs was VERY fair and correct. I could have been charged the earth seeing as I was stuck so far from home. I am so grateful to them - it is great to know there are still reliable, ethical and very professional shops in existence. Showed up today and was told my appointment was at 2:30, despite having two emails to the contrary. Bottom line, you have been warned. After my vehicle was inspected and work completed I am adding additional information to my post. I feel that their service/evaluation was thorough, and their communication throughout the process was exemplary. They are going to do follow up work on my brakes and I will see how that goes. I understand that anyone can have a bad day, and I think they deserve a second chance at a first impression based on how they handled the scheduling error, and their word-of-mouth reputation.
