Recently Holiday opened up a new location in Cottage Grove and we have been coming here ever since. Now lets not get too crazy you might say as its just a gas station. Well, it may be a gas station, but not just a gas station. They have a nice car wash. Inside their car wash they actually have an employee that helps spray your car down when you go through the wash. Inside is your typical convenient store with some groceries, hot and cold drinks as well as hot and cold food. The one item that separates this Holiday from other locations in the area, is that they sell bait! Yes fisherman they have bait here! For those of us that used to stop at that place on 61 that closed a few years back, now we have a local place where we can get gas, snacks, drinks and bait! I can't tell you how nice this is as there are just not a lot of places besides the front or back yard, where an angler can get some bait. This is a nice bright and clean store and we will certainly be stopping here some more and every time before we go fishing!

Look, I get it, truckers are not the cleanest bunch of peeps, not everything is expected to be spic n span....but. But. I do expect the employees to be clean minded. Every single thing about this truck stop is dirty. The places the customers and drivers use. And the store is a chaotic nightmare. Stuff is everywhere, out of place. The employee work areas are filthy, disheveled, uncared for. I don't want to visit this stop as a customer and if I were a Pilot employee, I'd be looking for a new place to work. Its almost like they need to to just level this place, build something new and start over. It's that bad.

I had an unfortunate experience during what should have been a basic oil change on my F-150. The…read moreservice included a brake inspection, and my wheels have security lugs. I was told I needed new rear brakes, so I planned to replace them myself on Saturday, 12/29/25. When I went to start the job, my security socket was nowhere to be found. So much for my Saturday project. The shop was closed for the weekend, so I couldn't resolve it. I met with the owner, Dan, on Monday. He ordered a new set of security lugs in hopes that the key would work. It did not. The tech had misplaced my original key during the brake inspection. Needless to say, it was a major inconvenience--and I didn't receive so much as an apology from the owner. This was my experience as a first-time customer. A $50-off coupon will not bring back my business.
