Do yourself a favor and get just one slice. It was my first time here and I was super confused why slices were six dollars. Then I realized my mistake . That being said, the pizza is delicious. They have a good craft beer selection. The guy making the pizzas was helpful. I didn't have many questions so he got me set up easy until the cashier came who was also super nice. It's a nice chill spot in Virginia Beach Town Center compared to the more high end/restaurant style places in the area. If you're looking for a cool spot to just relax and have a slice, 10/10 would recommend. They also have gender neutral bathrooms which may not seem important to some, but is extremely important for others who do not identify on the binary (male or female only) and I appreciate that. Just make sure you ask questions before ordering or you're gonna have these monstrous slices. Once again, I'm easy to please so take this review how you want. read more

Went in during lunch place was busy but not packed. Stood in line for 10 minutes before being acknowledged, I get that two people working have to do a lot but taking 20 seconds to look up and say "let me throw this pizza in and I'll be right with you" would have gone a long way, we weren't sure who was in line / who was waiting, or where to stand etc. After finally getting served, we were told the pizza is made ahead of time, so no options for customization like no cheese if you're lactose intolerant or anything, which meant no pizza for my friend. I still ordered, pizza came out pretty quick and hot, huge slice, straight forward pricing / menu. Overall pizza was good but service was lacking. There was an upset customer in line who was asking for his food or a refund but wasn't really being addressed with any sort of care or attention, even when saying he wanted his money back, he was told refund would take just as long as his pizza. Overall: good pizza not a lot of choices in TC anyway but service could improve. read more

This place used to be good when it first opened, and the recipe itself is good. But it's run by a bunch of teenagers who are talking to visiting friends, texting and not paying attention to the pizza. The last slice I got (pictured) spent too much time in the oven and was so burnt and dry that the cheese was hardened and had the consistency of a cracker. Unfortunately, I didn't discover that until I got home, and it was too much of a pain to go back. They are very hit and miss - sometimes it's amazing, and sometimes it's inedible. For many reasons, they need an adult in there supervising the kids. Also when I walked in, they were playing the most vile hip-hop so loud I couldn't hear myself think. It's a public place where children come in, and I don't think they should have to hear "mother-effer this" and "mother-effer that" when they go get pizza. Step up the service and produce the good-quality pizza you're capable of, play actual music and get the trash off the loudspeakers. read more

Went in a few days after they opened. Many people were telling me "it's just like NY pizza" ... I was excited, as I am a native NY'er. This was definitely NOT NY pizza - the crust tasted like cardboard. The sauce tasted like it came out of a jar and was mixed with ketchup. The cheese had either gone bad or they used some kind of shredded blend that had something funky in it, like Swiss. A few hours after eating, my boyfriend and I both got sick. The inside is ... interesting. If you look at the wall when you walk in, it looks like the painter had practiced on one wall drawing some kind of colosseum. Then, on the blue wall, the white is bleeding through the many different shades of blue paint. The paint isn't taken up to the ceiling and doesn't have any particular borders. It's bizarre - and to charge 6+ dollars for a slice of pizza, I would expect the inside to look more like the owner cares. I won't be going back. Hopefully this crew can get it together because it's a great spot in Town Center. read more

i don't care what anybody says , i loveeeee me some Benny's. my love of their pizza started at their spot on granby street. i like the thinner crust, and you truly can't beat paying 5 bucks for such a big slice . i'm glad there's one in town center, so now i don't have to travel all the way to norfolk to pick up a slice . the staff was nice . my daughter wanted to eat in, so we grabbed a seat at the window and caught some views of town center . i had a black cherry cider which was pretty good . id definitely be back. read more

The wait was longer than expected. When we did finally get our piizza, there were several hairs embedded in the crust. We were totally let down. The staff were not wearing hair nets. we did get a refund and left. read more

I love Benny's but the service was horrible. My partner and I went in and we both ordered one slice of each special. The lady came out saying, "which one are those? I don't know what the toppings are on the specials." We should have known that it would go downhill from there. How does one work at a place and not know what the toppings are for their specials. One of the toppings was fetta and when the pizza came out, there was no fetta on the pizza. My partner went up and ask about it but the same lady gave an attitude so my partner just dropped it. This was my first time taking my partner to Benny's because she's never had it. I was disappointed and upset that the service was bad. I'll go back but I can't say the same for my partner. I will say, if I see the same lady working there, any time I go in, I will leave. read more

When this place first opened it was amazing! This is an aggressive decline in quality and service. I thought maybe it was a bad night but both the beach and town center location have staff that burned the pizza, reset the debit 4x to make us hit the tip option when all they did was heat up a slice and they make a normal wage. They not only have not served us, when they saw we didn't tip they didn't put our slices in. I then reminded them and they did, then they took them out left them on the counter and while talking to each other let it get cold. They were not swamped. We were the only patrons while they openly counted their tips as our pizza got cold. I then 37 mins later asked for the pizza in a box and we walked out. As we did I heard that's what happens when you don't tip. read more

Not super thrilled! Ive been here twice now, first time not good, second time just as bad. First, customer service is non existent. If they spent the time taking care of customers like they do checking the green tip jar i would raise it a star. 2nd, it shouldn't take 30 minutes to get 2 slices of cheese pizza. Visiting from out of state, my friends from here took me to this spot. We were concerned they might close b4 we arrived since it was almost 10 pm but they were open. We asked as soon as we got there what time they closed and they told us 11 pm (we said nothing that the door sign said midnight). We paid for our pizza and chose to dine in. I was really disappointed in the pizza. It had no sauce, was very dry, burned, and rubbery. At 10:39 p.m., a young female staff member approached us to basically tell us to leave because they were ready to go. When I looked at my watch and said, "but I thought you didn't close until 11 pm", she said they wanted to be ready in time to walk out at 11 pm (the severely unsanitary condition of the bathroom should have kept them plenty busy while we finished our food). She walked away and seconds later turned out ALL the lights in the store while we were still eating!! There was no altercation and we had not given her a hard time in any way. She was sending a clear and VERY AGGRESSIVE message that they would force us to leave, even though we never gave any indication that we wouldn't. She was INCREDIBLY rude and it was clear she did not fear consequences. She treated us like animals and I've never been so disrespected, especially unprovoked.
