My first visit to Benny's Café was a complete disappointment. I ordered avocado toast with a fried egg on top and was given a soggy piece of toast with lumps of avocado that were brown, hard and difficult to mash (on a separate plate so I could put it back onto the toast). The avocado should have been thrown away. There was nothing appealing about what they served me. Really wish I had sent it back and asked to have it taken off of my bill. I Have eaten at Benny's Several times and liked the food very much. We went 2 weeks ago. We were 4 people. The food was terrible. Hamburgers were black, over cooked and dry. Cheese was not melted. I had an omelet and it was so dry. Could not understand how all 4 dishes were not good because we never experienced this before. I didn't see Benny the Owner and found out he no longer owns it. Egg-celent service by Shive!! Looking at the pictures, my girlfriend and I were not expecting much but boi were we wrong! The sides with each meal were much more than we were expecting, I got a burger and it came with soup or salad and fries. Ridiculously high prices for the quality of food served. For example: $12 for three "stuffed" crepes, 1/3 cup of blueberries and a couple squirts of whipped cream. Lesson learned. read more

My omelette and pancakes seemed pre-made. I say this because I couldn't cut the pancakes with my fork. It seemed as if it had been sitting under a heatlamp too long. The cheese in the omelette formed a very chewy wall. I need fresh food made to order and brought out immediately. My entree was not hot. The coffee and the service was excellent though. I have read several reviews of Benny's cafe. I find some informative and other just spiteful. One young lady said the service was terrible and it took almost 35 min of sitting to get service. Oh please spare me. How many people have really sat 35 minutes other than to wait for a table? Sounds like a bogus claim by a friend of a disgruntled employee. I have been eating at Benny's since it opened. The original owner Benny sold the restruant within a few months of opening it to a nice man and his family. They have had a few growing pains along the way, but " slow and terrible service" is not a valid complaint. Cooks quiting and employee changes have created some problems, but these are nice people with good service. Food is fresh and as in all restraunts they have a over cooked this or that occasionally. They have stepped up in the last few months and the place is experiencing an increase in activity. I give them an A for effort and look forward to having them serve me for years to come. read more

Amazing little gem hidden in the corner of Walmart parking lot. Awesome food and service! I was going to get coffee at Starbucks after, but their coffee was oh so good, so skipped Starbucks and saved $5. You won't be sorry you tried this spot. The atmosphere is nice and contemporary. Unfortunately our waitress took a long time to take our order. When we finally got our order our food wasn't hot. You could tell it had been sitting out a while. I think I'll try this place again and hopefully I'll experience better..we'll see. read more

My husband and I tried this place for the first time yesterday. Even though it was a busy Saturday morning we were seated very quickly. Our waitress was very friendly and we were able to order our drinks and food quickly. The food was very good! The Oreo pancakes are must try if you love sweets for breakfast. I went today with my husband this morning just to check this place out. Ive always passed by it while on the way to my pilates class and decided to stop. First impression the place was very cute and spacious. We got seated right away in a booth. On a saturday morning i noticed my table had creamers all stocked and nice ready for the next person which most breakfast places dont have. Its a small detail but it foreshadowed how the rest of the experience would be. Our server was mina and she immediately came to greet us as soon as we were sat. She recommended us to try the triple play, steak and eggs and something else i cant remember. Since this was our first time here we did ask alot of questions which we feel bad for, but nevertheless she answered knowingly. She came and refilled our drinks when they were half way down; never letting it go empty. Always running around and making sure her tables were doing good with a smile. When the food came out. It was so delicious. She did notice that the eggs werent made correctly so she redid them without us having to say anything which we were about to. Throughout this whole experience, we enjoyed eating our cheat meal of the week with some warm syrup on pancakes and heavenly bites of scrambled eggs. I would have given this place a 4 for great food but the service made this experience a full on 5. read more

Heard great things about this place and was pretty excited to check it out but I was extremely disappointed. I've been in the service industry for over 10 years. I work at very busy bar/restaurant and train new staff. The service here is non existent. We had a young man wait on us, he never gave us his name and disappeared after taking our drink order. The only other time he came to our table was to deliver our food and drop off the check.. Our food also took over 30 min to make when it wasn't even busy. My dads food came out cold and mine came out pretty hot. I ordered the chicken fried steak and he had ham and two eggs. I could tell they made his first and left it in the window. The food was decent but with the lack of service we probably won't be back. We sat with empty drinks and had to ask the poor host for a refill. She was literally doing the job for all the servers. There was no servers on the floor at all. Your servers should greet the table with a coffee pot, be attentive and don't disappear into the kitchen until the food is ready, make sure ticket times aren't going over 30 min on a Thursday morning and it wouldn't kill the servers to smile. Any successful restaurant starts with service because that's what people remember the most. read more
