I past several drink areas to visit this space and it is worth each time. I do like low to no sugar offerings and their teas hit the spot. It has the professional, well-designed feel of a big chain while the staff and artwork/layout make it feel homey and local. There was a good amount of patrons for a Monday afternoon, and music was a good level for carrying on conversation or working. The girls behind the counter were so sweet and patient, explaining the many drink options. My husband got a drip coffee and I got the caramel crème (I think?) latte. Coffee here is good and there's ample space with lots of tables and good lighting. They have some board games on the side and a chess board. I haven't tried any of the bakery items but they offer quite a few if you're itching for a snack. I've gone here a couple of times to get work done and it's a great cafe to do that. Went to this location to enjoy a coffee and snack for the afternoon. Another Patron came in with a large dog. The girl behind the counter said we don't allow dogs inside. The customer said it was a Service Dog, even though there was no markings or tags as a Service dog. The girl with the dog said when she receives her order she will leave and came to set right next to me. I do not have a problem with dogs, however, they should not be allowed somewhere where food and drinks are served. Oh, and to top it off the dog put their front legs on the counter. I enjoy my visits at every Sweetwaters location, the company just has this consistent vibe of pleasantness. And neatness! Also coolness! The cool glass display cases at Sweetwaters are best in the industry, you want to order 1 of every item displayed, they all look so delicious! So I'm at the display like Forrest Gump, just amazed at it all and staff greets me LOL I needed a icy thirstbuster to celebrate triple digits days returning to Texas. Yay! Staff offfered suggestions, and I said "You had me at Ginger Fizz!" This was perfectly light, but flavorful, and bubbly. So, I just missed the featured artist here, giving pro bono art tips to a crowd at the laptop table. Each month, this location features art works on the walls. This place is terrible in service. I came in to order my drink and the cashier wasn't being friendly. I ask what size your drinks come in and she say it is up there. I say what is up there. Very rude and didn't seem professional. Where is the manager? He or she needs to evaluate the staff customer service skills. I had a business meeting here with a friend that referred this place. I have only been to this coffee shop once and then another time I drove past another location with my son and picked up a smoothie. The coffee I had was amazing. Only 4 star bc my son's smoothie was OK and over priced for a fruit smoothie with no protein. For a loc coffee shop this will still be my second favorite. During COVID-19 I appreciate that they have signs for social distancing and keep this place clean. When I walked in there the coffeeshop was empty so social distance wasn't an issue. Sweetwaters has plenty of light, spacious and has a aesthetic modern outlook. The entrance of Sweetwaters has a display of local paintings for sale. They have a small display case of goodies and an extensive menu of drinks. I opted for the slice of blueberry oat cake and a chai tea. The blueberry oat cake was dense, delicious while not being overly sugary. Their chai tea is packed with flavor and delicious. The prices are reasonable. So happy to have sweetwater up here! I'm Familiar with the one in Richardson. Friendly staff and spot on drinks and (dragon Ice) and delicious savory pastries. The space isn't as big as the Richardson location and I only wish there was a couch area. Other than that, there is really no other coffeeshop like it in this area. I love local places that serve tea. The drinks here, in particular, seem a little more interesting than your average cafe. TEA: Of their tea drinks, I've tried: 2 arnold palmers (rooibos and green tea), thai tea, and imperial milk tea. I have to say the rooibos is probably my favorite and the imperial milk tea was the most disappointing. The imperial milk tea is supposed to be "Hong-Kong inspired" but let me tell you... Not only did it not taste like anything close to Hong Kong milk tea, it actually doesn't taste much like anything at all. I suppose there's a hint of something floral but that was about it. COFFEE: I don't drink coffee, but my husband does. He's Vietnamese and enjoys the French Vietnamese Cafe au lait although he claims it's not as strong as true Vietnamese coffee. Nevertheless, it's still good. DESSERT: We both love the red velvet cake soo much that we spent $90 to buy the whole cake for our friend's birthday. Each slice was nice and thicc. Or you can just buy a single slice for $7.95 I believe. Either way, you have to try it if you love red velvet with cream cheese frosting. STAFF: Always friendly, helpful, and courteous. I found Sweetwaters when getting a gift card for a friend who lives up that way. I was so taken by all the natural light, yummy drink options, tasty food options and great seating options. I placed my mobile order before getting to the McKinney location. I stood by the mobile pickup sign for 20mins before even being acknowledged. I saw at least 3 guest who came after me (ordered at counter) get their orders immediately. Two other guests who had mobile orders were acknowledged as soon as they walked in and stood by me!!! It wasn't until the worker saw how pissed I was that he asked me who the mobile order was for. I'm so upset with this place. I was trying to support a local coffee shop, but this is ridiculous. I came here to get a cappuccino. I cannot fault the service, as the manager and barista remade my coffee as the 12 oz double was all milk. After remaking it and telling me it was only coffee and foam, I just left it with them as it was identical to the first attempt. Super disappointing. They obviously have never had a cup of the way it's supposed to be made and just assume that this is how people like it. If you prefer the flavor of espresso, you will be disappointed but If you prefer hot milk, he will be in heaven. I am giving them an extra star just due to the friendly service. read more

I treated myself to the Ethiopian coffee with sweetened condensed milk- Lord it was divine. So much so, that now I crave it. There is a small hand-written menu board that is filled with creations of the baristas but even better than that, there was a sampling press pot filled with an iced delicate chai with lychee syrup (if my memory serves me right) and it was divine. Sampling a new creation is a smart way to get people out of their rut. While enjoying my iced coffee, the owner greeted my mother and I and was super nice. A while back I found Sweetwaters on IG and watched their highlights about how they came about and why they're so passionate about the coffee industry and this business. I knew it was a shop I'd eventually visit and get great quality, so I was excited to finally try them out. Great customer service all around! The two girls working yesterday were so sweet. This location is huge! Very spacious and basically all naturally lit. They have great seating options and merch. My drink was amazing! My go-to is always a vanilla latte with oatmilk but I truly wanted to be able to make sure I tasted the espresso in a 16oz (and was energized enough to chase my toddlers the rest of the day) so I ordered an extra shot of espresso.
