Qahwah House has been ALL over my social media lately, so I finally decided to give it a try! For anyone who hasn't heard of it, it's a Yemeni coffee shop that specializes in traditional Yemeni coffee, tea, pastries, and desserts. I love seeing more unique coffee concepts pop up, so I was excited to see what all the hype was about! I actually ordered through Uber Eats, and one thing I really appreciated was the customer service. They were out of the original lemon cake I wanted, but someone reached out to me before preparing my order and recommended swapping it for the passion fruit cheesecake instead, which I thought was really thoughtful! I ordered a few different things because I wanted to try as much as I could, and overall I was really impressed! My favorite was definitely the strawberry matcha--it was SO good and probably what I'd order again next time. I also ordered their pistachio latte, which I still haven't gotten around to trying yet, so I can't speak to that one just yet haha. I had also been wanting to try their famous honeycomb pastry for the longest time because I see everyone ordering it. It definitely wasn't what I expected though! For some reason, I was imagining something light and fluffy, but it was actually much denser and had a cheese filling inside. I can totally see why people love it, but I don't think it was really my type of dessert. That being said, I'm still really glad I finally got to try it! Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and can definitely see why Qahwah House has become so popular! Between the unique Yemeni-inspired menu and the thoughtful customer service, I'd definitely order from here again. Qahwah house standard at McKinney has gone down miserably. The adeni chai tastes very ordinary and below standard compared to other adeni chai places in the area. The prices do not meet the customer service which is far below standard. They are now charging 25 cents for a 2 ounce cup which shows the franchise is financially struggling and may go out of business very soon. Very cheap standard. read more

I've come back many times after my first visit. Now it's my favorite place to get my adeni tea. The service, which I was so disappointed about in my first visit, has now met, or even exceeded, my expectations. In fact, I came to know a couple of staff members well, including the manager Izza. One time I was lucky to see him roast the coffee beans with the in-house roasting machine. He gave me a 101 on how the machine worked and how the coffee beans were loaded into it. I was really excited to try this coffeehouse! I didn't know there was a coffee place in this little strip. You can't tell from the outside but once you're in the door, it's a really open and beautiful space! There is every type of seating you can think of: cushioned seating, table, bar seating, etc. Great place for meeting up with friends, doing a little work on your laptop, or reading. There's a full drink menu of coffee and teas, I got the adeni chai (it's STRONG), which is black tea with cardamom, nutmeg and milk (sub oat milk) and their signature honeycomb pastry WITH the honey drizzle on top (you gotta, it's delicious and not too sweet). Seeing a few of these Yemeni Coffee houses popping up nowadays. The great thing is they keep later hours so it's a place to hang late nights. Qahwah House is pretty big inside with lots of seats in various arrangements that is well suited to accommodate groups. We saw a couple of big families while we were here. Where you might run into problems is how busy it gets. We were here on a weeknight and it was pretty full! Our group got a medium pot of the Adheni Tea and the Honeycomb bread and triple chocolate cake to accompany that. The Honeycomb bread is not super sweet and I would call it interesting. The triple chocolate cake was fine but nothing special that i would crave again. The tea was really good and strong. The medium pot was enough for 2-3 servings for our group of 4. I would enjoy coming back here, especially later in the evening after dinner. read more

I did not get to try any of their more authentic sweets because they were sold out but their cake slices and other pastries just seem like your average coffee shop bakery items that you can't figure out whether or not are from Restaurant Depot or not. Service was good, quick and easy. Order at the counter, they give you a buzzer, and you pick up your food. Not sure where to return the dishes since everything is glass and they have you throw away your own trash in one of those standard restaurant bins. So you have a tray full of dishes with nowhere to put them. Clear signage would be beneficial. Overall the ambiance is meh. You get better ambiance further into McKinney at Escape 360. The seating isn't comfortable enough for you to come and work remote but it's a great place to catch up. I came here with no expectations, just looking for a nice coffee spot to relax in. Didn't expect to come and absolutely LOVE this place! The BEST matcha I've ever had and I've tried matcha from a few different places. This had to be the most authentic tasting one yet! The staff is always so welcoming. I enjoyed my experience so much, I've come 3 days in a row. Their brownie cheesecake is one of my favorite desserts. I tried a Kanaufe (I hope I spelled that right...) for the first time, and I wasn't disappointed. It was very light, but it paired well with my matcha. A very good experience at Qahwah House this morning. My friends and I went for the first time here. Upon entering, the lady behind the counter greeted us with a big smile. The smell of coffee beans pleasantly filled the atmosphere. I ordered a cappuccino, it was well made, the evaporated milk was thick, it didn't dissolve right away like it happens in other low quality places. Big and good selection of coffee and tea. They have also a varieties of delicious cakes. The chocolate and the pistachio one highly recommended. Nice decoration inside and clean. I will surely return very soon! read more

An underrated gem! Qahwah House first impresses with its super spacious interior, with several tables and abundant natural lighting. It was hard to choose from so many good options, but I landed on the Adeni teapot, which was a giant serving of spiced, fragrant, and creamy tea. pretty disappointed by my experience. i've heard so many great things about the chain/brand so i was excited to try it finally in my hometown. some of my complaints can be chopped up to new/untrained baristas but because this is a chain, the service should be standardized in my opinion. i ordered a pistachio latte, medium sweet. the espresso was very obviously burnt and the drink tasted nothing like a pistachio latte. the only redeeming quality was that the latte art was beautiful. My siblings ordered a matcha latte and the adeni tea. the adeni tea was the only acceptable drink we tried. we also ordered the spinach and feta pastry as well as the cheesecake. seemed like all the food options were frozen/mass produced options that were warmed up and served. nothing great to say about that. all in all, im disappointed. very excited to see so many muslim-owned cafes opening in the DFW area. loved the ambiance in the cafe and there's lots of space to work/hang out, but if you want a good cup of coffee or a snack, try one of the other yemeni spots in the metroplex. read more

I really enjoyed my first visit to Qahwah House. The entire tea/coffee house is meticulously clean and aesthetically decorated. The service felt maybe a little slow but I will be the first to admit that I am unfamiliar with Yemeni service customs. In any regard, it wasn't a problem for me. Now for my favorite part: the Adeni Chai. The Adeni Chai was out of this world good. It was spiced, full of body, nicely bitter which was definitely rounded out by the milk and a bit of sugar. It was the most satisfying tea experience I have ever had. I will be thinking of this place constantly and I will definitely be back.
