La la land's delicious drinks and incredible atmosphere will have us coming back for more. When you enter this place, you immediately know you are in for an experience and this isn't your average coffee shop. I knew we were in for a treat once the barista offered to walk us through the menu. I opted for the matcha squared latte while my wife tired the tiramisu cloud latte. Both were excellently executed and tasted so good, I can see why people rave about this place. We'll be back.
I finally tried La La Land Cafe in McKinney, and it was PACKED when I went! Definitely seems to be a popular spot, especially with a younger crowd. Even though it was busy, there was a good amount of seating, and I could see this being a nice place to hang out with friends, study, or sit and work for a while. The atmosphere is lively, so I wouldn't necessarily come here looking for a quiet coffee shop experience, but it has a fun energy. Service was pleasant, and I got the iced strawberry matcha. I was honestly pleasantly surprised by the quality! The strawberry and matcha worked really well together, and it tasted like they actually put some care into the drink rather than it just being something pretty for social media. Overall, a cute, busy spot with a fun atmosphere and a genuinely good matcha. I'd come back and try more of the menu!
I have been to La La Land many times and have never had a bad experience. There are multiple locations in the DFW area. All are super cute and atheistically pleasing inside, with lots of seating. Super yellow to stand out. I like trying their seasonal or limited time drinks. My last one I tried was the Tiramisu Matcha Latte. It was divine! Also, during this last visit. I was reading and ready to sip my latte, when one of the workers came and offered me a toast for free!
A cute matcha + coffee shop that is great for meeting up with friends or enjoying a leisurely day. The drinks and atmosphere are enjoyable but the service experience was disappointing. Even though I was second in line inside the shop on a weekday late morning, it took 25 minutes for my matcha to be ready because they were working through a large volume of online/ app orders. It felt like in-store customers were not being prioritized at all, which took away from the overall experience.
All the outdoor seating is wonderful! The indoor seating is ridiculous. One giant long table crammed with chairs or a long booth with cemented in tables that are so far from the booth you teeter on the edge hoping not to fall off. And all of this is in the middle of where the line snakes through. Needless to say, head outdoors where the tables and chairs are at a reasonable distance and lines of people won't stand next you. I will say this location is ready for high volume. I arrived on a Sat at 8am and their pastry case was jammed packed, they had more cups than I'd ever seen and plenty of staff to get the job done quick. My avocado toast cane out quicker than it ever has at any other location. My friend and I got our drinks and headed outside. We enjoyed ourselves immensely.
Finally made it inside La La Land to give it a try. The aesthetics here are super cute and happy and I can understand why people are lining up outside La La Land locations in California. The packaging is very premium and the coffee itself tastes good and isn't burnt. I got the iced lavender latte and it was neither too sweet nor bitter. It was the perfect balance of nonfat milk, lavender and coffee. Didn't take a pic of my ham and cheese croissant but that too was buttery, flakey and delicious. The staff here were also very nice with a bubbly personality. Overall a great first time experience.
The coffee is great, quick service and very helpful and joyful staff.. the con I have is the place is filthy. I have been to Starbucks in the center of NY time square that have people standing everywhere waiting for coffee and it was still cleaner than this place. I can only imagine how dirty the back room is of this place. Hopefully they improve soon. The stars are for the coffee and the helpful staff.
Quiet, aesthetic and has plenty options for matcha and coffee. I got the regular latte and I was happy with it! Service was great considering how busy they were. So happy that this has opened up in McKinney. Nice place to hangout for coffee and they also have a breakfast menu and baked items.
Came to the location for the first time yesterday and it's bright and airy like all of the other locations. Very clean and the ordering process was smooth. I had a S'mores Cloud matcha latte and the cashier was super helpful in helping me choose between that one and their sugar cookie matcha. Both are seasonal specials. The S'mores Cloud matcha was delicious and the graham crackers on top were a nice treat. I made sure to eat those before putting the top on my matcha. I will be back here again soon for the same matcha while it's in season.
Not super fast service. Each location tastes a little different. We went around 6pm and it wasn't busy at all. We waited not too long for our matcha drinks. They have cold foams ready to go. We tried the new psg drink it was ok. Mini croissant on top was interesting choice.

I always get the queen avocado toast and have always had a few times where it was a bit much of the pepper flakes or everything seed mix (to where it looks like I asked for extra) but not ever too much to where I didn't enjoy the toast. Except for this time, I took a bite into this one and had to immediately spit it out bc of how salty the bite was so much so that I had to scrape some of it off the top :/ still giving this place 4 stars bc y'all are great! Just maybe normal amounts of seasoning for the people that don't ask for less or extra! :)
Took my husband here on our weekly Saturday morning coffee date, was his first time here and I had high hopes. We usually go to Summer Moon but I'd been wanting to take him here. What a MISTAKE. He ordered a simple black coffee. I got an oat milk strawberry fields latte. We waited 25 min for our drinks, as it was packed. Not a big deal as it's the holidays. But, when we got our coffee drinks they were BOTH completely wrong. His simple black coffee tasted like tar. Worst yet, the lid wasn't properly placed so I had scorching hot coffee spilling on my clothing and hands. Lovely. NOT ok and that is dangerous, given hot it was. My latte was made with the wrong milk, was NOT oat milk. I knew almost immediately as I have a dairy allergy and my system started revolting. We ended up throwing away both drinks and went to summer moon. It's infuriating and so frustrating. Spent $20++ and literally threw that money away. Do better, La La Land.

Took my husband here on our weekly Saturday morning coffee date, was his first time here and I had high hopes. We usually go to Summer Moon but I'd been wanting to take him here. What a MISTAKE. Came for their opening weekend and it was PACKED, but even so, the staff had things down to a science. Ordering was quick, wait for order was lengthy but expected from how busy it was. Worth it still, because my latte was perfect and the clean, minimalist ambience is so peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend the cookie dough croissant, La la Crookie (?) because it's sweetooth perfection. Now, two lattes and that croissant ran me $22+, but for special occasions it's a delectable splurge. read more

Ordered a PSG matcha latte and this is what I got! We showed the employee the order sheet that came with it because it wasn't a matcha and we didn't even get the croissant. The employee just put the croissant in a cup and handed it to us..... I didn't even mention that it very clearly wasn't a matcha because she already seemed bothered. Honestly wouldn't go back to this location. read more
The drinks were delicious and came out fast. Service was attentive and friendly they were very fast! Maddie was walking around making sure everyone was satisfied with their drinks, which was greatly appreciated! The ambience inside was beautiful !!! Lots of seating inside and outside great to come study or have a coffee date or a business chat options for more private outdoor conversations an option! I went to the McKinney location to order my birthday drink and Maddie and Avery were so sweet. They informed me that I needed to do my order on the app but they were so nice and put my order through at the register. Wonderful service from these two ladies and received a free pastry also. The hype here is real and so worth it. Their matcha was not bitter or grainy and was the perfect combination of sweet and creamy. I also tried their truffle burrata avocado toast and it was delicious. The only reason I took off a star was because they're a bit steep on the prices. I got 3 medium sized drinks and 3 lunch sandwiches at it came out to $66 without tip. It is also very loud in there and very hard to have a conversation without having to yell at the person you are sitting across from. There is outdoor seating which can help combat the noise level. read more
