I got to use it for a month and a half. The third year the second time mowing with it the axle break. I did not get it back that summer It spent the summer at Sirums another simplicity dealer. When I went to use it the next spring there was a puddle of transmission fluid on the floor under it. It went back to Sirums for most of the summer when it came back it was still leaking. It went back to Sirums 4 time to fix the leak that it never had before they replaced the axle. Got it back last September used it twice and it started leaking again called Pinnacleview Equipment in October so I could have it for next spring and they finally get it in January after three months they call me and tell me it needs a transmission that a fitting is stripped out and they return it to me. I take it to a guy down the road and he takes a look at it and shows me were they had stripped the fitting going into the transmission from over tighting it rather then replacing the two O ring on the fitting that were torn. So for most the last four of the five years I owned this lawn mower I have been mowing my lawn with a 20 year old John Deere that has over 6, 000 hour on it that has never had anything done to it other than belts oil changes tune ups and blades. I have over $9, 000 tied up in this Simplicty that I bought to replace the John Deere that was getting old I have a total of less than 200 hrs on the Simplicity and it needs a Transmission at a cost of $1, 500 because one of the two Simplicty dealers messed it up. When I got it back this time the instrument panel is full of water must be they left it outside uncovered in the snow and rain. Lawnmowers are not meant to be left in the rain or snow. I would never Buy a Simplicty again or have either of these Simplicity Dealers touch anything that I own. It stinks when you spend $8, 000 for a Lawn mower to mow your lawn that you can't use it because it is in the shop. Do not recommend this brand or Dealers

I have purchased many pieces of equipment at Joe's over many years ranging from inexpensive replacement parts to whole units costing thousands of dollars and after my experiences of the past couple years I will never return. A couple years ago I brought them an old snowthrower that ran but leaked gas from the carburetor. I was clear about the nature of the problem and that I wanted it fixed. I went back after some time to get the snowthrower and it still leaked gas and didn't run any better than when I dropped it off. Despite paying Joe's more than $200 the unit was just as bad as ever. They kept it and after more time told me it needed a carb. I was angry about that, but at least they put on a new carb for cost. However, they should have done that to begin with since the problem was obvious and I believe the total amount I paid exceeded what I would have paid had they simply replaced the carb in the beginning. Instead, I had to make three trips, which meant getting a trailer at least one more time than necessary. Since I don't own a trailer that in itself was an inconvenience. I eventually purchased a new Ariens snowthrower from Joe's. This is a make I will not buy again. It is a large unit with supposedly a powerful engine, but I'm not happy with it. The controls don't work all that well and I find it awkward to reach over with my right hand to adjust the chute direction on the fly. Low range is too fast and consequently the unit rides over deep snow. Buy a Honda track drive instead! Joe's delivered the new snowthrower a little over a year ago and it was supposed to be all set to use. None of the adjustments worked well despite the fact the unit was set up by one of their techs. The auger continued to turn despite the fact I had released the handle...creating a dangerous situation. Other levers slipped out of position because, again, the adjustments were not done correctly. I told Joe's right off and at first they told me I had to make the adjustments. I was appalled! I had just taken delivery of this unit and they wanted me to correct their mistakes. They did eventually take it back, but the problems with the levers for the chute deflector persisted. I fixed those myself, but I should not have had to do that. After using the unit for a while I contacted Joe's and asked them if they would take it in trade toward a Honda track drive. I communicated with the owner who wanted pics of my snowthrower. I sent the pics and his response was that I should check with sales to see if any Hondas are due in. Really??? The owner didn't know what was coming in! I checked with sales and they said two were due in but were both spoken for. Regardless, I again asked the owner if he would tell me what he would allow on my unit if he took it in trade. I never received a response. I have been treated shabbily and I am done with them. I don't like patronizing big box stores and would rather work with a small business, but not when they treat their customers like they don't matter. I have received much better treatment at big box stores.
