Rob has explained clearly what my options were and how to proceed. If you own a MOTUS, Rob is the best source for anything related to the bike.

I am a Motus owner in Seattle, WA, and ride a 2017 Motus MSTR. This summer, I went on a ride…read morethrough Washington, Oregon and Idaho, winding up in McCall Idaho for a friend's charity golf tournament. At the end of the weekend, I gassed up the bike early in the AM, and planned to make the trip home to Seattle in a single shot. Unfortunately, my bike wouldn't start. For the next hour or so, I tried everything I knew to try to get the bike to start. I suspected that some microswitch on some component of the bike that was supposed to signal the A-ok to start was broken, but had no clue how to figure out how to get home. After thinking through all of the plans, A-Z, I decided to call a dealer on the east coast (who might be open at 7:00AM Idaho time), to see if anyone might be able to provide field advice. A service guy at my dealer in Seattle had mentioned the great work that Rob Swartz was doing for Motus owners since the Motus company had gone out of business, so I gave his number a try. Rob picked up on the first ring, and after listening to my sob story, went over to a bike that he had in the shop, turned it on, and walked my through the screens I need to navigate in order to check the various microswitches on the bike. By doing this, we identified the culprit, the clutch microswitch. Since I wasn't going to find a replacement on the road, Rob suggested cutting the wires and closing the connection manually. When I tried this, the bike started immediately, raising my spirits as well as my expectations for getting back home in one piece with my bike. After arriving home in Seattle, I received a call the next day. It was Rob, calling to see if the fix had worked, and I'd made it home safely. Wow, there was nothing in this entire exchange for Rob, but he helped me through a stressful field fix, and took the time to follow up the next day to hear how things had gone. I will be looking hard for excuses to buy parts and expertise from Rob in the future. I would love to see him save Motus as well if it is in the cards, and can't imagine a stronger evangelist for the brand. Anyone on a Motus should check out Motus of New England!

I never sit here and write reviews but I had to warn people about this place, they also worked on a 400 i used tk have same thing; missing bolts and clearly ridden (over 15 miles) shoddy business people and outright stealing regarding prices, RUN! 0 stars if i could.

I brought my bike here in early July for a fork seal replacement. I had recently relocated to the…read morearea and was looking for a new local shop to service my motorcycles. Unfortunately, my experience here left much to be desired. I first reached out to the shop in mid-June to inquire about the repair. I was told they could get me in within approximately two weeks, so I scheduled the appointment. They required a $500 deposit, which I thought was somewhat steep considering the total repair was expected to be around $600-$700, but I decided to move forward. I dropped the bike off on July 2nd. I asked how long the repair would take and was told approximately 1-2 weeks. I thought one week seemed reasonable for a fork seal replacement, while two weeks felt somewhat lengthy, but I agreed and left the bike with them. On July 16th, I called to check on the status and was told by the owner that they would have the bike "on the lift" that week. At this point, it had already been at the shop for more than two weeks. I told them I would be available at any time the following week to pick it up. I called again toward the end of the following week and was once again told the bike would be "on the lift" the following week. I waited another week and eventually stopped by the shop in person to check on the status. The mechanic again told me they should have the bike "on the lift" the following week. At this point, I was extremely frustrated. I had been given multiple assurances that the bike would be worked on, but no actual repair date or clear timeline. I made one final call on August 6th to ask whether the bike had finally been brought in for the repair. Once again, I was told it would be "on the lift next week." At that point, I told them to put the bike out front and that I would pick it up the following morning and take it to another shop. The owner called me afterward and again explained that they intended to get to the bike "eventually," but still could not provide an actual date. I was also told that "patience is a virtue." I would say that waiting more than a month for a repair that should reasonably take a day or two was more than patient on my part. Ultimately, I decided to forfeit my deposit and take the bike to another nearby shop. I had really hoped to find a smaller, local shop where I could bring my motorcycles for service on a regular basis. Unfortunately, whether the issue was scheduling, staffing, or organization, this experience was not acceptable to me. I will not be returning to this shop, and based on my experience, I would not recommend it to other riders.
