I've been to other Tilted Kilt locations. This one felt more like a Hooters than a Tilted Kilt. They played nothing but loud hip hop and rap(and not the good kind) the whole time. The complete opposite of the atmosphere I was expecting and I'm use too.. People were exiting the side door to smoke and anytime someone came back in a huge wave of cigarette smoke rushed into the dining area. To say the least, the atmosphere was a huge disappointment. The food on the other hand was good and our wait staff was very nice and attentive. I got the fish and chips, which the fish were somewhat medium sized and came with 3. The food wasn't amazing enough for me to come back. The atmosphere is what killed it for everyone at my table. If I closed my eyes and didn't know where I was going. I would have thought we were in a club. Unless they change those things, I'll never be back and nor would I recommend this location. A huge disappointment. EDIT:After the owner, told me not to come back on another review, I did with some friends and the experience was even worse. We waited forever to get drinks from the wait staff. The atmosphere was just as bad as it was before. The music was so loud my friend was yelling over it the whole time. It's not like there was an event going to validate how loud it was. First time visitors (& last time). It was overall a disappointIg experience. The service was slow I felt like the waitress was not very attentive from getting our drinks to us to taking our order, to getting food to us. They must've been having trouble in the kitchen as well, as our food came out staggered, so the 3 of us were not eating our meal at the same time. And we were disappointed with the quality of food. Ok, what used to be an enjoyable retreat for me has become just an expensive PITA. The service sucks, as does most of the food. During the week, you're lucky to find the single bartender/server who is the only person working the front of the house. On weekends, it can get slammed and they don't know how to deal with it. There's 2 cooks I know who can make a few decent dishes, like a burger or mozzarella sticks, but by and large it's all crap. I am SO OVER this joint. read more

I'm sorry but the only thing I liked about this place was the atmosphere. I placed a To go order. I ordered the Garlic Parmesan wings, side salad with chicken and Frickles (fried pickles). The wings had no garlic on them, it felt like it was just sprinkled with Parmesan cheese, and to make matters worst they was fried way to hard for naked wings. Next the Frickles was way to thi that whatever the batter them with is all you tasted no fried pickles. And the side was halfway decent, but was slim on the toppings such as tomatoes. My wife and I were hungry for a good burger tonight, so we decided to go to TK because they have pretty good burgers. We have no complaints about the food and drink. Our issues are with the ambience and service. When we entered the dining room, we could tell the music was way too loud, we asked to be seated as far away from the stage as humanly possible. I recall asked my wife if she wanted to leave, excuse us, but we normally like to have a quiet & peaceful dinner. But, the music was so loud, it was annoying and certainly not our genre either. We literally could not hear each other from two feet apart. Our server was just ok, one of my pet peeves is a server that leaves dirty dishes on the table and our server certainly left her far share of dirty dishes on the table, as shown in the photos. The restaurant was crowded but there were only a few tables occupied in the dining room where the DJ, this is a hint to the management team. I ordered from here maybe a hr ago off of uber eats.Today is sep 10th, around 4pm 2021. Im not from Virginia and decided to order for food from this restaurant. This place was recommended as having really great food. The food was okay for standard bar food. In other words greasy fried food and a pretty boring selection at that. The real issue I have is how absolutely dirty this place is. The windows were filled with dead bugs. Smokers were outside on a patio area but the entire place reeked of smoke. So I came back for that Ole Dublin Stew and got side tracked. I tried the meatloaf. And it was AWESOME. I'm not a chef, so I can't tell you exactly what in it. But the first thing that came to mind was oregano and garlic salt. There was a very delicious mash potato mound on top of the meatloaf. It had brown gravy and small union rings. The last time I was here I had really good bread. The garlic buttered bread that came with this meal was exceptional. I did not do a good job of controlling how fast I ate then bread. I didn't have anything to cream the plate. Pleasant surprise, I wound up with the same waitress. And like the last time we talked about fishing! Came here as a recommendation from Yelp. Wasn't disappointed at all. I was greeted by a few waitresses and shown to the bar where Cydnee. She told me about the military appreciation lunch they were having. So of course I had partook of what they had to offer. They were barbecuing and playing music. I bought a burger and drink. The staff was out and about servicing others and dancing with customers. After my appetizers, I headed to the bar for the main course. I got chicken tenders and the loaded tots. I was expecting the usual tenders but these were large tenders, almost breasts. The garlic parmesan sauce and the spicy tilted sauce was awesome. I'll gladly come back here. First off reading the review which we all know it's usually the people with no taste buds leave or just complaining. First two places I search for a twin peaks or Tilted as I have never been to either with bad service and food is always good. I can say this hidden gem due to the location, its amazing. For two or three nights I eat here while visiting I had mainly two servers that took care of me and my groups when we came. Melanie, in which it seemed like she was the only one that worked every night when we/I came in, she was absolutely phenomenal and was an absolute blast taking care of us and made us feel like a local coming in and always on point. The second girl was Kaley, the three or so times we had her was just the same great service. The mood is always great, sports playing, music going, and even karaoke on Tuesday nights; with some talented few. Again fantastic bar restaurant and thanks again for not disappointing unlike hooter restaurant now a days. Service is hit or miss but for the last 3 times he's been horrible, I'm pretty sure they forgot to put my order in last time because my husbands and kids food came Out over an hour before mine did and it was completely wrong. We stopped in on our way back from Charlotte, I have always heard of the chain, never had the pleasure of eating there. It was very quiet, not many guests. That being said, they were a bit slow to get our orders, but once they did, the food came out quick and fresh. I got the french onion soup with fish and chips, it was light, fluffy, and the fish had a clean, crisp flavor. I loved it! The soup was cheesy, and the broth was not too salty, with a nice beefy flavor, plenty of onions too! Son had Cesar salad and shared the bbq pork mac & cheese with his sister, which was pretty damn super! Hubs had a south of the border chicken sandwich and that was pretty good too, it had roasted green chilies, pepper jack cheese, habañero salsa on it. All in all the food was really good, large portions and the waitress was adorable! Why are the servers writing on our coasters hating on my football team? Didn't even say hi or what I would drink before they opened their mouth. I ordered the Burner (hot) wings which weren't hot at all. No problem. I requested for a different wing. Then the manager came out and asked me what the issue was. Anyway, I came w/ a large group on a Sunday afternoon to watch football. We were there for hours (eating/drinking/drinking/eating)....the waitress wasn't the greatest in the world, but I don't think TK is known for its phenomenal service or incredible food. I had the absolute worst service from them..i called in a order..asked for my wing to be made extra crispy...i told them i worked accross the street and when i would be in 20 min..and to wait for the wings bcs i wanted to make sure they wernt soggy..when i got there the wings was soggy..so as she takes them back and i wasted another 30 min of my lunch..im seeing the lady in the kitchen playing with her hair...on her cell phone...then she brings my food to me...i asked for a manager..informed her that her waitrist was playing with her hair..and then proceeded to get my wings that should have been prepared properly the first time..she looked at me like i was crazy..told me my wings was crispy..offered no apology..a just looked at me...im so pissed..i didnt know what to do..i just walked away. Just cause you sell Irish Nachos and Guiness doesn't make you an Irish Pub nor more than serving french fries and advertise as a French Cuizine restaurant. This is a possible 5 star review but the beer prices are rather high. Even during happy hour I am not used to paying that much for domestic beer. The staff is well kept and friendly.
