I used to live in Petersburg when I was younger and I've been to restaurants close to here but I've never gotten the chance to try out this place. Interior (8/10) - The inside looks good but the chairs at the glass tables were a little too tight for me so I decided to sit at the bar which was a good choice. The chairs at the bar felt a little wobbly but I didn't mind. I sometimes drive past this place during the night and it's always packed so I guess it's best for a post work visit. Service (8/10) - The staff were extremely friendly and on top of things and it's a local restaurant so I not going to complain. Food (9/10) - and now for the main attraction, the food tastes pretty good. I had the Crab Cake Sandwich and it was seasoned and savory. My friend ordered mozzarella sticks and they were the best mozzarella sticks I've had so far, crisped and cheesy to perfection. And the crab dip was pretty decent, too creamy and juicy to my taste (No Diddy). Family and I decided to try something different so we went to Long Street deli to check out their brunch menu. When we got there, the waiter, whose name was Hunter greeted us with a smile in the midst of him being super busy. He allowed us to sit where we wanted, and he came to our table with haste. He brought out our menus and took our drink orders. We all ordered coffee and it came out piping hot and fresh. After a little while we were, we decided on what we wanted to eat. I ordered the omelette and opted for fresh fruit. I also added on a stack of pancakes. The food came out. It was nice and hot and fresh prepared the way that I liked it. They also provide the pancakes which were plate size and incredibly fluffy. I opted for the maple syrup versus the pancake syrup, but both were a great option. read more

I like that the food is always consistently good here. I generally always order a club sandwich when I go to a deli, and theirs are good, and I love the giant pickle spear that comes with all of the meals. This place does inspire me to branch out from my normal choice though. The sailor is delicious, the French dip is great, the Cuban is great, the barbecue chicken is so delicious. Longstreet's is a nice local bar offering decent pub fare. I love the dining area because you can see out into the street and people watch. They have a full bar and the food is not remarkable but good, at least on the lunch menu. The service was friendly and not overbearing. I popped into Longstreet's and grab a window seat. I just missed the lunch crowd so I had my choice of seating. Normally they get a big rush throughout the day. I was greeted promptly by a very nice server. She came in, took my order and I didn't have to wait long for my food. It came out very fast. I ordered the California wrap with waffle fries and topped it off with a piece of cake. I have no complaints about the food. My only complaint was that they had the ceiling fans on and there was a cool breeze blowing. I work nearby so I know I will visit this deli again. read more

PICK UP REVIEW ONLY: So all I can say is that the food was SUPER filling. You are going to get what you pay for and they are heavy handed. I had the chicken philly wrap. It was pretty good. The chicken chunks were thick, they weren't super dry, but I also like to dip my philly in ketchup (don't judge me). I had a side of onion rings as well. . . . sooo good. I really wanted honey mustard and they provide it. They did have some type of sauce that gave a tang with them. It was pretty good . . . but I wanted my honey mustard. After a tour of Blanford Cemetery, we asked the tour guide about a good place to eat downtown. Surprisingly, very few restaurants were open on a Sunday. So, your place made the top of the list. It was easy to find, and no problem getting a place to park. Upon entering, there were plenty of tables to choose from. We didn't have to wait long when a waiter came by to offer menus and a nice cool beverage since it was hot outside! I'm a club sandwich person, so I ordered the Deli club, which was very good; all the sandwiches our party of four ordered were good. Our most recent visit I had the Grilled Mahi Mahi with Mango salsa and it was cooked perfectly, the garlic mashed potatoes and brussel sprout for my sides were tasty as well. My wife had the Steak and Bleu cheese salad and absolutley loved it. Longstreets has a very good drink menu, plenty of craft and domestic beer choices as well as wine and mixed drinks with some good choice liquors. Usually Longstreet's is a 5 star experience for me. Had this been my first visit here i probably wouldn't want to come back. Our food took SooOoooOoo long to come out and I have no idea why since nothing extravagant was ordered. Now that I've got that off of my chest, let me start from the beginning. We were seated immediately. Our waitresses was very nice. I LOVE the drinks here. I ordered my usual blueberry lemonade and it did not disappoint. My food partner got the limeade which is pretty good and it reminds me of cherry lemon sundrop. They came out pretty quickly. One drink does not provide a buzz but they do taste amazing. Ordered the fried chicken club with waffle fries and the cuban with fripps. This took over 30 mins to come out :( once it finally did... everything was very hot and delicious. The bistro sauce is a nice touch to the fried chicken club. Sandwich is a total 10/10. The Cuban comes on Ciabatta bread which made it less appetizing to bae. He rated the sandwich a 6/10. I just really wished the food would have come out faster and then I would have had more drinks and therefore more fun! Overall, I recommend this place. read more

We stopped in to get a drink and a bite to eat before a play. They were super busy and we were warned there would be a 30 delay for our food. We ordered or drinks and food and both came in a reasonable time. The drinks were decent (Cherry limeade l, blueberry lemonade and a craft beer). My Ruben was good (asked for toasted white bread but still ended up with rye). There were two large parties there and one was a birthday so we were able to join in with the happy birthday song. We visited LSD after many years and was surprised by the lack of entrees. Although it was dinner time, they only offered one entree special. We remembered that they used to have awesome southern fried chicken. But, no more only finger food and bar food. Which was good but disappointing. The service was even worse, our waiter was hurried and he was frustrated when we couldn't decide what beer we wanted. He didn't have any of our favorites and quipped "we have almost 20 beers!" So, we asked him for their list of beers, to this he said "they're listed on the board over here" and pointed to 4' high pce of plywood and we couldn't see. Then he walked away. He was so irritated by us that he didn't return, the bar lady came over after awhile and took out. Food and drink orders. If it wasn't for her we would have starved to death! The dude showed up later with the check after it was obvious that we were not going to order anything else-even though nobody asked if we wanted anything else! All the stars go to Sam, our server! Firstly, this galley style, dimly lit restaurant was like an oven, yes, it was hot outside, but it was just as hot inside! Was the A/C broken? We asked about it and inquired about turning up the overhead fans but to no avail. So we were miserable and contemplated leaving, but ordered iced teas and water to cool us down! Secondly, our initial server wasn't very attentive, we barely saw her. Thankfully, Sam, another server, saw us craning our necks looking for our server who went AWOL, was kind enough to pick up the slack and brought us napkins, silverware, and drink refills, etc. She even rang up our check after our meal. (Our initial server finally came back when she saw Sam was waiting on us, and we told her Sam had taken care of everything.) We left a little something for the first server, but Sam was amazing and received the lion's share of our tip. Our food at this deli wasn't very delish. I ordered the club wrap with a pasta salad side. The wrap was meh. The wrap was dry, crumbly and fell apart but I ate the filling. I took the other half home and put the ingredients in a fresh wrap. The pasta salad was inedible. It was swimming in an oily mess, mushy and gross. When I mentioned it to Sam, she offered to get me a different side; I chose the potato salad which was much better! This wasn't my first visit to Longstreet, and my other trips weren't very memorable either. The restaurant wasn't busy today. During Covid, no one came in with masks. We donned ours until we got to our table and had our handy Lysol with us. The servers wore their masks. The tables were clean and had sanitizer on them. They applied the staggered seating guidelines. There was outdoor seating as well. So they do get kudos for following protocols. But it's really good food, service, and atmosphere that keep customers happy. Sam saved the day and accounts for the average rating. Without her it would have been a two star review. Sadly, because of the subpar food and uncomfortable sauna, it will be a long time before I head back to Longstreet. read more

Been here a few times now and I am a very big fan of the food. Their fried green tomatoes are the best I have ever had, and I am from Georgia, so I have had more than my fair share. My favorite thing to eat so far was the BBQ Chicken Wrap, the flavor is fantastic - a little sweet, a little tangy, a little spicy... It is delightful. We also love their waffle fries, they are tasty, perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. I'm hungry just writing this. Go as soon as they open or during the afternoon lull since they can get very busy during lunch and the small circle tables by the window are so very uncomfortable. Try to grab a booth or a tall table so the chairs don't cut into your butt and thighs. read more

Me and the bestiee just decided to try something new and visited Longstreet Deli ! The place was spacious and the server was really nice and down to earth . She really made you feel welcome ! We must have came on the right day because they have a live DJ which made the experience more exciting. So if you ever in the area Saturdays is a good time to go and it was not crowded at all .They had a nice crowd of people , nothing over welcoming . So to the food we ordered ! A regular bacon cheese burger with fries (my son) he liked his , we also offered a turkey club with cucumber salad and bbq bacon cheese burger with fries , my turkey club was really good and cucumber salad was good it just needed a little more sugar , my fries was fresh and crunchy and burger was a nice size , the bread was a little thick but the sandwich was good . My bestiee ordered the turkey club as well with fries and a side of onion rings . She likes everything as well . Great prices and a great selection! I laid eyes on an Italian panini and didn't second guess myself, although the pastrami was very tempting. I almost got distracted when the waitress said that clam chowder is a part of the special. The panini was hot and steamy with a side of perfectly crisp waffle fries. The sandwich had olives and I ate them, even though I always avoid olives! I loved every bite and only ate half. The second half was to be my dinner later that night (which wasn't as good the second time around). My fiancee was going to get a massive meat sandwich, but went with the club special that comes with chowder because he is a kind hearted man who wanted me to try chowder. He is awesome, which is opposite of what the chowder was. Too many thick potatoes and corn, which did not taste good overall. We sat inside by the window so I could people watch. The prices were pretty comparable to all other restaurants in the area. Our server was prompt and courteous and great sense of humor. The bathrooms were yucky though.
