Don't know how this place has stayed in business. Employees are untrained and very rude. Horrible experience ordered a sushi bowl to dine in and on my first bite sushi was completely frozen immediately brought to employee who said how can that be. I said you tell me how that can be I took a piece and showed her the piece that was as cold as ice and no apology at all. I asked for my money back she said she has to phone a mgr I waited over 10 minutes and mgr said when she comes back to Work she will issue a refund for my $19. Well it's been almost 2 weeks and no refund. After reading some other complaints about not receiving refunds I will be contacting Florida Dept of business for fraud. read more

Bento, as all other restaurants in this plaza, gets very busy for lunch. But they have good options and reasonable prices, plus it's close to the office so we keep coming back. I usually order the Tuna Poke Bowl. Other places charge up to $20+ but here, it's about $14 for a single protein bowl with 5 other ingredients, plus the base. Due to the amount of people there, it is best to order ahead, if not you will be waiting 15 minutes or more for your order. They do try to work as fast as they can, and appreciate them acknowledging the customers and assuring us they are working on the orders. The one star off is because the last two time I've been there my order was missing something. Sauces, and this time the salad on the bowl. Still the food tastes delicious and fresh. It was average for the most part, and below average in other areas. Service was decent. I have to complain the most about the California roll. This roll is already the lowest priced roll due to its basic ingredients. Here they give you half (or perhaps less) of the krab and just a smear if avocado. Mostly rice and seaweed. Not the best. Flavor isn't bad. The rainbow roll was just ok. Minimal fish is the theme. Salad was ok, and the seaweed salad was alright as well. Very very mid indeed. Lastly I got a Mexican roll since I am Mexican and well. It was ... you guessed it, it was alright. It's not bad sushi just a tad behind the competition. At $17 this is not a bargain. ​I'm all about Asian and Fusion cuisines. Especially noodle based dishes. There is a Bento near the office in Winter Park, but to be honest, I never gave them a chance. Fast forward a few months, and I find myself on a Business trip in Boca Raton. Got to the hotel super late and looked at the food options in the area. Bento was the first choice on Uber eats, and finally decided to pull the trigger. Glad I did! I had the Shanghai Lo Mein with extra shrimp, a small Miso soup and a cup of Gochujang Garlic. The food was carefully packed, which is always good. No complaints here. The noodle dish was really good. I poured some of the garlic sauce and that definitely brought it to another level of spiciness. The soup was okay, nothing special. All in all, I definitely recommend this restaurant chain. I have been coming to bento since I was in college, and it used to be a place I frequented back in those days but I have never been to this specific location before. I came for lunch with my mother and the place was pretty empty. They have tons of indoor and outdoor seating and have both self service ordering stations and employees taking orders also. The place is super clean and well kept. I get the same thing every single time I come here (wok fried rice with chicken), but also added an egg roll today. My mom got the Gochujang Garlic bento box with chicken and tofu and the yuzu drink. I also got sides of yum yum sauce for my rice bowl. Everything was a 10/10 for both my mom and I. Portion sizes are very good, and you will easily have leftovers. I definitely recommend this place! read more

Bento is one of my favorite spots to visit whenever I want some quick and delicious Asian food. They have a great ordering kiosk to customize your dishes however you'd like. The food is made to order, and it's super quick too. My favorite thing to order is the Large Poke bowls! A large poke bowl has a huge variety of toppings, a choice of two proteins, and two sauces which really makes for a deliciously fresh meal. When I say that poke bowl is huge, it really is! I don't know a better spot for Poke in south Florida that compares to it. There's also a ton of spacious seating both indoors and outdoors. I really enjoy the spring rolls appetizer as well. They have a huge variety of other hot dishes to order but I usually go for the Poke Bowls. Soon I will force myself to try one of those if I can go before I am craving Poke again. read more

On Friday 3/20, I went to this location and ordered food, waiting an hour, spent $100, didn't eat and still don't have a refund. We got there around 9:10pm and placed our order at the kiosk. Around 9:35pm we asked a server where our food was. They could not locate our order. I showed them my bank account where the money from Bento was deducted. They kept saying they couldn't find the order in the system, and I offered to tell them the order and asked to please start it as we had been waiting 30 minutes. They kept looking at the kiosk, as it was frozen. They said it was against policy to make food without an order. When we asked to see the manager, there was no manager there. They finally found the order in the frozen kiosk, 45 minutes later, and refused to cook the food because they said the kitchen was closing soon. They let us talk to the manager over the phone, and she told us that she couldn't refund our money right then, and she would call us tomorrow. She did not call. When we called the location, they said give it 72 hours. The manager left me a voicemail on Monday 3/23, and said our refund was processed. It's now 4/2, and I called the store to follow up. The manager was- shocker- not there. The "acting manager" said he would text her. When he called me back he asked if I could send the receipt. He did not have a phone number or email for me to send it to. He said he would email me and I could respond to it. 2 hours later- shocker- no email. Lastly, I posted a google review and go the below response: BENTO Boca Raton (Owner) 3 hours ago Hi Traci, we're so sorry for this frustrating experience--that's definitely not the service we aim to provide. We understand how upsetting it must have been to not receive your food or a refund. Great experience overall! The staff are so friendly here and the dining room is very clean and well taken care of. You can order at a kiosk or at the front counter. This location offers outdoor seating in a really beautiful plaza and lots of parking out front. The food at this location was made really well. I ordered the sushi box with a mt fuji and special mex. Not only was the sushi delicious but it came out in only 5 minutes. In addition to the bento box I also recommend the pao pao chicken rice bowl. It's a white cream based sauce that packs a lot of flavor. Overall I'm pleased with everything. Looking forward to returning soon. read more

I've given this location of Bento a few tries and I can say it doesn't make me want to come back. The first time coming here, they didn't have the self ordering kiosk that they have now. I was ordering and the staff member wasn't trained on the menu and didn't understand what I was ordering. As time went on, Bento prices have hiked up and they have removed sauces they use to offer and silverware. I use to get a soup spoon with my noodle soup dish but now you have to resort to a plastic spoon. The price hike is probably necessary due to inflation but for casual dining, it's a big difference. I ordered 1 noodle bowl and 1 kids bento box on my last visit and the total was $27. We also had issues with our food this last visit but the team recooked it and made it right. read more

The rice was too vinegary and the salmon, which seemed OK, had a very pale orange color to it which made me question the quality. My wife hated her bento box. The vegetables were freshly cooked but the sauce was gloppy and one dimensional. The rest of the box was unremarkable; lukewarm noodles and rice, a basic salad and some green beans. It was certainly a big portion, but it wasn't very good. We both commented how much of a shame it was that the food wasn't better. We love Park Place and eat Asian food quite often. Second time around I got the protein bowl to go, I did my order online and picked it up. The food ready in time. It was basically a poke bowl and it came with two proteins. From the choices of chicken, shrimp, fish, tofu etc, I chose salmon and tuna. The toppings I picked were mango, tomatoes, avocados, green onions etc. the salad and white rice were a good base. In the mood for Asian food, I remembered my friend's suggestion to try Bento. The day came to give it a try! I walked in and place a to go order since I had limited time for lunch. The service was great, I was helped almost immediately and it didn't take too long to get my food to go. I ordered a "spicy" fried rice with tofu. I said "spicy" in quotation marks because it wasn't spicy at all. Either way it tasted delicious! It had a very pad Thai type of taste, I suspect they cook with peanut oil. It was more in the sweet side. I liked a lot even though it wasn't spicy. I also ordered boba tea. I chose a passion fruit flavor which had a green tea based with lychee pearls. It was way too sweet to my taste, but after adding a little bit of water it became perfect. I'm giving this place 4 stars because of those little details that could make it more authentic perhaps or improve. I still recommend it as a good lunch spot. In the middle of the box was a "dessert" - - crispy fried noodles with sugar and cinnamon on them. My choice of main dish was the chicken with yellow curry. It was very aromatic and had a very slight kick. In addition to copious amounts of white meat chicken breast, were carrots, green beans, zucchini, and bell peppers. It was very tasty. My husband ordered their sushi combo box. It included an 8 piece California roll, plus his choice of two of their 4-piece classic sushi rolls. There were over a dozen choices. He also had a smaller portion of salad and some cold veggie (zucchini) topped with a miso dressing. in the box. His combo was a very large portion for the price ($12). If you don't want a large meal, they have build your own poke bowls; signature and classic sushi rolls, rice and noodle.bowls. They also have build your own boba teas/drinks. And they even have a kids meal. They were quite busy during lunch. Lots of college kids and business people in the area plus you can order and pay online. Then pickup. There is inside seating and a patio area outside, too. You order and pay at the counter and are given a number to display on your table. They deliver your meal to you.
