If the show cheers had a sushi place this would be it. Owners Ann and Jose work hard and take pride in making it a comfortable place for everyone that walks in. Help support a small business you won't be disappointed. Good food, reasonable and great service. Rolls are delicious!

Great little eatery tucked into a shopping center that I had passed for years. Made a wrong turn and found this diamond in the ruff! It was the best so I made all am. We were greeted like kings as soon as as landed the door. We were getting take out but they tasted us like we were sitting down to a for course meal. The sushi was so fresh and exactly what I wanted. The salmon was perfect@

Met my Yelp friend Julie for lunch. She always looks and finds great new places for us to catch up with life and talk about what else, more great new places to visit! Sushi Rock was no exception. We arrived early and were the first to be seated in a lovely booth. The atmosphere was enjoyable as well as our servers who were attentive and gracious. The lunch menu had many Japanese and Thai choices moderately priced. I love Bento boxes because they include a little of everything and Sushi Rock offered some of the best I've seen. All Bento Boxes came with miso soup, salad w ginger dressing, a 6 piece California Roll and a mix of shrimp and vegetable tempura and one additional choice. I picked a 3 piece sushi ..tuna, salmon and wahoo.. All were fresh and delicious. Julie chose teriyaki salmon as her extra and she was not disappointed. Some other options were sashimi, cooked vegetables chicken teriyaki. Parking was easy in the strip center and the service was great. Most impressive was the freshness of the sushi and the menu choices. I look forward to a return visit!

Salmon teriyaki, salad with ginger, shrimp tempura, California roll

This place is tiny and located in a half empty aging strip center mall. Ignore all that and go. The menu more than compensates with listings in both Japanese and Thai cuisines. And the lunch specials are wonderfully priced. We had good service from the busy and efficient waitress -- who covered the entire restaurant (taking phone orders at the same time) while the one guy behind the bar fixed sushi and chatted with customers. We both ordered from the Japanese lunch menu. He had their sushi special #D and I got their #F fish teriyaki and paid $2 more for salmon. Both lunches came with miso soup served first. It was very hot with bits of tofu and seaweed in it. Each box lunch had salad with ginger dressing; a California roll; and shrimp and vegetables tempura. There was also the usual wasabi and pickled ginger. A small dish of dipping sauce for the tempura was served on the side. His sushi consisted of three pieces: one each of salmon, tuna, and a white fish over rice. And my fish teriyaki was a small, but perfectly cooked piece of salmon in a light teriyaki sauce. There were quite a number of other options -- both on their lunch menu and their regular menu. But we could not pass up checking out the $12 ($14 for mine) special -- so very good and well worth the price. I'm sure we will return. This place is a keeper.

Excellent service and delicious, high quality food!!! Chirashi was 10/10. Tender, fresh fish.

The most nasty smelly sushi, to the trash it goes

This has been the worst sushi I have ever ever gotten. Not able to even eat. It smelled bad and the soft shell crab looks like something from a zombie movie. I can't believe I spent $58 on this crap. Here the pictures of this

Super solid spot right here gang. You can tell this place is special man with how fresh the fish is. I got the Sushi Rock Roll, Tuna Lovers Roll and a Spicy Crab Roll. I actually ate way too much, I also had a Wonton Soup & a Japanese Crab Cake which comes with Katsu Sauce.

The best Sashimi Mori. You will never get anything fresh than this. The best Sashimi ever in south Florida. So fresh and delicious.

The best sushi ever in south Florida. So good and fresh. Never seen a restaurant so clean before never been on dirty dining ever Jose knows what he's doing. Jose is the best best in South Florida. Ann is the best cook ever. The miso soup was amazing

    Gyoza
    Zachariah R.

Sushi Rock is a quiet little restaurant in an unassuming building. Definitely looks a little sketchy but it delivers. As pictured I had the Gyoza, Yakiniku and Green Tea Ice Cream, as well as some Hot Sake. The standout here was the Yakiniku, which was perfect apart from my personal preference of a shorter grain of rice, but that's a nit pick. The onions and beef were cooked and marinated well. Not to dunk on the gyoza, which were also very well made. The sauce especially was great. Everything was plated beautifully and the owners clearly care about this place. It was well kept, the service was prompt and courteous. But I will say their prices skew towards the high end of the spectrum. I don't count that too harshly considering the experience was great, but it still is worth noting. I'd say it's a great spot for a date. It's quiet and has a nice ambiance. I plan on going back and trying their ramen at some point, so I'll update then.

The restaurant is in a very, very busy area and the first thing we noticed walking in is how loud it was inside we asked to be seated in the rear where it was a little bit more quiet. After being seated, our server came quickly with a request for beverages and some menus. We didn't wait long at all. The service was good and friendly. We decided to try some things that we had not had before to see just what it would be like here at this particular restaurant and the results were a bit mixed but overall good. I had the Mongolian beef and I was happy with the dish. It was plentiful. The quality of the meat seemed good and the flavors were OK not amazing. My sweetheart had a fried rice and shrimp dish and while the tastes were OK, we were surprised at how few shrimp were in the dish. The food came hot and it came quickly and the presentation was very nice as you could see from the photos when we go back? the answer is probably. My suggestion is try this restaurant midweek when it's not so loud and see if you like it. It's open to the street and they have ample outdoor dining, which is nice but it was too muggy for us to sit outside that particular day. We didn't try their cocktails, but the people around us were enjoying them and they looked excellent. I hope you give it a try and comment or let me know what you think!

The sushi was fresh, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of the night. The restaurant itself was also really beautiful and had a nice upscale vibe. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and service at the beginning didn't match the atmosphere. When we first sat down, one of our glasses had a lot of scratches and the other one was visibly dirty. When I asked for them to be changed, the waitress initially insisted it was just scratches, even though one was clearly dirty. She eventually replaced them, but the new glass was also heavily scratched, and what bothered me most was that she took the dirty glass and placed it on another table instead of taking it to be cleaned. The attitude at first felt a little dismissive and rude, although she did become much more polite and helpful as the night went on. Another downside was the bathroom cleanliness. It smelled like a public restroom, which really didn't fit the fancy atmosphere the restaurant was trying to create. Overall, the food was genuinely excellent, but for a place that looks this nice, the cleanliness and attention to detail should be much better.

The restaurant is small and cozy. It's located on the west side of US1/Federal Highway. Sitting inside, you would not know you were on a busy street. After looking at their lunch specials menu, we decided to choose one of these items. So we really didn't even look at their regular menu to see what else they have, We each decided to get one of their bento box lunches. They also offer poke bowls and some sushi roll combos. I got their salmon teriyaki box. In addition to the salmon in one of the compartments, there was a California roll, 2 gyoza pieces, house salad, and edamame. In the middle of the box was wasabi and ginger slices. It was a lot of food. Everything was good, but I think I'd get the gyoza steamed instead of fried next time. My husband's box had all the same selections as mine, but instead of the salmon, he got sashimi. There were 6 lovely pieces of fresh raw fish -- tuna, salmon, and a white fish. He said it was very good. I'm glad we stopped here for lunch. It was a good choice.

Maybe it's quieter outside but those tables are right next to the street. We had to yell to hear each other. Our server Sebastian was so pushy and constantly upselling us. As soon as we sat down, he asked whether we wanted still or sparkling water, but that question should always have 3 options: still, sparkling, or tap? He then recommended the signature omakase, the most expensive thing on the menu. When he came back to take our order, he made a big pitch of today's rib special. When my husband ordered the 8-piece nigiri, he pushed us to upgrade to the 12-piece option. As we were eating, he asked us what else we wanted to order. We ordered $130 of food for 2 people...seriously? We hadn't even finished yet to gauge if we were still hungry. I know that tips are a percentage of the bill, but you would've thought this kid was getting a commission on top of his tip or something. It rubbed us the wrong way. The tuna crispy rice was $5 per piece and the rice was weirdly chewy. Wouldn't order it again. The nigiri were the highlight of the meal. Each piece felt balanced and the sushi rice was good. We ordered 3 rolls: toro toro, scallop, and yellowtail. All were forgettable and expensive for what they were. The yellowtail roll was bland, which is probably why there's a chili ponzu sauce to go with it because otherwise all you can taste is pear, which isn't a flavor I'm looking for in sushi. We ended our meal with scallop tacos, which were good but microscopic and pricey ($17 for 2 tacos). Each one is a bite and a half. It took a while to flag down Sebastian for the bill, so we were stuck in the din of the restaurant for longer than we liked. If the restaurant's filling up, wouldn't you want to turn our table and seat new guests? My husband made a note on the res that it was my birthday, but it was ignored. Maybe we would've had a better experience with a different waiter, but this was a disappointing meal and service.
