Excellent Work on My 2016 LR4 - Fixed What the Dealer Couldn't. After a nightmare 7-month ordeal at Land Rover Honolulu (botched repairs leading to new oil and coolant leaks, disconnected sensors, etc.--see my other review), I took my 2016 LR4 to Benz & Jagz Specialists in Honolulu, and they completely turned things around.Service Advisor Flora Zar was outstanding--professional, communicative, and thorough from the start. They had the vehicle for about 3 weeks and performed extensive diagnostics and repairs that addressed everything the dealership introduced or failed to fix properly.Key work included:Full diagnosis uncovering issues like ABS/restraint module faults (U0074, U3000), O2 sensor code, and valve cover leaks. Replacing valve cover gaskets, resealing upper timing cover, new intake/supercharger gaskets, injector seals, and spark plug tube seals--eliminating the burning oil smell. Replacing Bank 1 Sensor 3 O2 sensor and clearing codes. Installing and programming a new Restraint Control Module (RCM) to resolve traction/ABS faults. Major coolant system overhaul: new water pump, connecting pipe, updated hoses, front and rear crossover pipes (including the rear one the dealer "replaced" but still leaked), and more--no leaks after testing. They used quality parts (brand-new RCM with 1-year warranty), took time to explain everything, and road-tested multiple times. The invoice was detailed and transparent--no surprises.These guys are true specialists in European/Land Rover repairs. Knowledgeable, efficient, honest pricing for the complexity involved, and they treated my vehicle with care. I was looking for a place I could take my Jaguar to for all necessary services as an alternative to the dealership. It had to be a business that I could trust and that offered work performed by certified mechanics so that warranty conditions were met. I was also looking for a repair shop that would be my go to place for my extended warranty work as needed. I think I found that place in Benz & Jagz. Very easy to schedule an appointment and work was completed as promised. Pricing is comparable to the dealer's prices, at least based on this particular appointment. When we attempted to renew the safety check on my wife's 2006 ML350 4matic, we discovered the front left turn signal was not working but no error message kicked out. We thought it was a simple bulb replacement but it was a bigger issue. Fortunately, Jeff determined the front SAM Control Unit needed to be replaced. There was an ESP error message so they performed a Zero Point Calibration to fix that issue. The drive belt was making noise and worn so they replaced that. They also replaced the intake manifold tumbler flap since it was broken. They even got me the safety check cleared since everything was remedied. Her SUV runs like new now. I've been bringing my Mercedes to Benz & Jagz for several months now and have been impressed with both his technical expertise and customer service. He's extremely personable and takes the time to explain issues thoroughly before proceeding with repairs. The quality of work has been consistently excellent, and my vehicle runs beautifully after each service. The only reason I'm not giving a full five stars relates to some billing practices that differ from what I've experienced elsewhere. Unlike other shops I've used, diagnostic fees aren't applied toward the final repair cost if you proceed with the work. There's also a separate "shop fee" for consumables that I hadn't encountered before. That said, the overall experience is quite positive. If you're looking for a knowledgeable Mercedes specialist who delivers quality work and great customer service, I'd definitely recommend giving Benz & Jagz a try. read more

Best auto repair shop I have ever visited. Front office manager Flora was super-efficient in getting all of the information needed to get my E500 repaired (Front struts/suspension) replaced. From initial visit, visual inspection & was honestly told by the technician that is was not necessary to replace right away- I still could hang on without a major repair, to giving me a free estimate, to making an appointment 2 weeks in advance, ordering my parts ahead of date of repair appointment, it was a total stress free brake repair. Absolutely waiting involved & took less than 2 minutes to check in & I was on my way out with Uber. Asked to them to also check coolant level & top it off - they did not charge me & also asked to replace my air filter- charged me only $90 - 1/2 Hr labor which I provided my own part. They finished my brake service all 4 wheels by end to day. Amazing! I was expecting to pick up the next day. Was able to pick up my car before closing. Car was waiting and ready. Total repair cost parts & labor was under $2600 / great value compared to a dealership repair bill. This company provided some unbelievable & awesome customer service. Will definitely come back. We trusted this shop for years and the customer service kept us coming back with multiple jaguars. They've helped us many times but one bad experience really soured us. After a jaguar engine leak repair that took a week to fix, on our drive home our check engine light came back on and a noise showed up. Benz&Jagz wouldn't get us back in for a week to check the work THEY did. Called Neue Auto who also specialize in European cars and they were able to see us next day. Showed me a video of where Benz&Jagz just needed to properly reattach a single hose that they detached for the repair. Neue didn't even charge for that fix because it was so simple. I asked them if what B&J told us about a week wait to check their own work was normal. They said while European mechanics here are all slammed, that incident shouldn't have happened to us. Overall, flora and jeff are nice people and the shop usually does quality work. But if one thing goes wrong, they will not take accountability or make it right for the customer. read more

My 2008 Land Rover LR2 engine light came on, had occasional intermittent stuttering with acceleration, car won't start on first crank sometimes even though the battery was replaced only a year ago. Coolant flush needed. Stacey, who is the Intake staff is very professional, knowledgeable and customer service oriented. My experience with her was great from intake to payment. Owner worked on my '96 Land Rover. He did multiple items, non of them held up. AC was hooked up without a thermostat and it blew out my compressor and fan. Driver window would not go up, I was charged $176 for him to pull it up with hands, and a piece of tape over the control. He stated that it did not work, but did not repair it. I was told that I needed to order a whole new window system. I brought it to another mechanic and he identified that it was just the window switch itself. Window works great now. I spent several thousands of dollars and waited two weeks for every appointment and nothing was repaired well or lasted. read more

We had a good experience with Benz & Jagz. Our 2001 XJ8 has developed a major rattle over the past year, and we were afraid to take it to the local dealer for fear of being overcharged. We did have to pay Benz & Jagz a substantial fee for diagnosis, but the fee was applied toward the labor charge for repair, and the rattle went away completely. They replaced the rear shocks and the bushings that attach the shocks to the car. My son-in-law, who works on cars himself, told me that the price we paid is a fair price. The shop is not elegant, but it has the special tools needed to do work on Jaguar automobiles, it is clean, and the owner, Jeff, and his employees are helpful and friendly. I scheduled my B maintenance with Benz and Jagz and unlike MB service was told the price would depend on what was needed to be done during inspection. Very reasonable price to start and if filters needed replacing then a little more, still reasonable. They did the service quickly and let me know that my brakes were about 30% so keep an eye on them. They provided a quote for the break service so I knew what I would need down the line. I was given a nice checklist of what they did and it was an all around pleasant experience. When I used to go the the dealer I was always being asked to add service I didn't need and the prices are insane. I highly recommend Jeff for Benz service. It was a pleasure doing business with Stacy as well. A much better experience then the only MB dealer on the island! read more

Took my older ML 320 here, was having fuel filter issues. They diagnosed my problem quickly and got the job done at a very reasonable price. Those of us with older benzs inevitably need a few things fixed every now and then, but finding a repair shop that won't absolutely drain your bank account is a struggle.
