I needed copies made of my car keys so I stopped by the Berkeley Honda Center. I went to the parts store where they checked to see if they could make a simple copy, but they couldn't. So they ordered the keys they needed and then I came by the next day to have them cut and programmed. Paul in service was super friendly and helpful. I showed up at 11:30 during their lunch hour so they were short staffed, but when I explained that I had a meeting at 12:30 in the city he said that he would make my keys right away. It took about a half hour and cost $126 for two keys ($26 per key and $75 programming fee). It was cheaper than they wanted to charge at a local locksmith, which was going to be $98 per key. If you need keys made I would recommend calling the parts department first to make sure that they have them in stock. read more

Took my car in for mandatory airbag recall, but my car had suddenly started stalling out. Asked for a diagnostic and they said they would charge $160. Got home and immediately called them to tell them to just do the airbag and don't run the diagnostic. Went to pick it up and they charged me the $160, saying they never got the message. I'd spoken to a woman and she said she hadn't spoken with me. Covering her ass I guess. They told me rodents had chewed through some wires and it had taken them an hour to figure it out. I looked and it was right on top. If it took an hour they're not very good at what they do. Proving once again. Never get your car serviced at the dealer unless you've got a lot more money than me. read more

I FELT TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF- I came into Berkeley Honda Service yesterday to get my first oil change on my 2019 Honda. I was asked to do a tire rotation also, at first I was a little skeptic that I shouldn't need one done so soon for a basically still a brand new car. I ended up getting it done and paying for it. Later to find out from folks that I didn't need to. I pretty much feel I was taken advantage because I am a woman and also don't know much about cars. I kinda don't trust the folks at Honda. Really horrible customer service . Referred to them through Costco program. Received an email offer, made a 1pm appt which he confirmed by text, and went in. Tom K said many times he was coming in on his day off. Went down there and he didn't show up until 2:30. Peter , was s breath of fresh air, and took us for a test drive. Finally sat down with Tom K to do paperwork and he ran the numbers. Suddenly he had to confirm numbers with the owner, who was out getting a car washed. "He'll be back in 10 minutes". He was back but then took on new customers. Suddenly Tom K says he has "run out of the discount $$" and offer is no longer valid! I can still get the car but at a higher price!!! They were extremely nice about it too, it didn't feel like i inconvenienced them at all. Kevin was the cashier who helped me first & he has great customer service skills. Also really knows his stuff. I went in to have the many recalls on my CR-V repaired. The service center is temporarily housed around San Pablo and Cedar. The location is ok, but the signage of where to go is not clear. I pulled up where it said "express service" and I'm thinking there is nothing express with 3 recalls. Checking in my car didn't take too long once I had a chance to sit down and fill out paperwork. I waited about 15 min while he finished up with a client and took a phone call. I was surprised they only had one person doing all of the paperwork and answering phone calls. I left my car for them to work and requested lock out service. I was called when the work was done, which was nice. Since I was not able to pick up the phone they left a detailed message. My problems began with the phone call. #1 I was told there was previous damage to my glove compartment, but no one called me before work was completed and no one has follow up with me as to what the previous damage was (after two emails) #2 My spare key was not where they said it was, in glad it was in my car, but poor communication on location #3 They left a tool in my car and want me to return it to them. Maybe they should try answering all of my questions first. If Honda has anymore recalls, I'm going to have to find another dealership to do the work. read more

Great experience getting my first oil change at Berkeley Honda for my Honda Clarity. Eddie was really nice and patient, making sure to answer all my questions. He is very personable and professional! In addition, the technicians were very thorough in checking out the car including replacing off-brand parts installed (incorrectly) under the car's previous owner (and they didn't find anything that cost extra beyond the oil change). I can tell that they really care about their customers. Eddie made sure I was happy with the service and after my experience today, I will be returning. read more

I had come in a week prior due to the engine light appearing on my dashboard. They had availability quickly for my appointment. It was determined that it was a part covered under my extended warranty (Thankfully!). They said the part should arrive in a week and sure enough, a week later it arrived. When I was notified of this (thanks Brian in Parts), I was transferred to Tommy, the Service Manager and he made an appointment for me the next day. I dropped off the car and as it was busy, knew it would take 2-4 hours for the work to be completed. As they got me in the next day, that was OK with me. All the work was completed and I was on my way at no added expense to me. I will continue to make this location my regular stop for my Honda service needs. As a side note.. wondering if Honda will ever include a car wash service for those getting services? Just a question.. having moved from San Diego, it was a regular service. I know that things are different in NorCal. This doesn't take away from their service or friendly nature.... read more

Ehh.. Not like the other local Honda dealers I've been too. This one is old/outdated and there is a lot of confusion from the customers perspective about what is going on when dropping off or picking up your car for a service appointment. When I dropped my car off, someone greeted my in the driveway, took my car into the garage and then I was told to sit and wait for the service adviser. The waiting area was dirty, and no refreshments were offered in the area like at other dealers. I waited for at least 15 mins and then requested the adviser to give me a call vs. meeting them since I had to get to work. ...I never got a call. I had to call them and they told me my car was ready. When I went to pick up the car, the lady in front of me was arguing with staff about getting charged labor for a recall repair. This was a turn off for me. read more

Most dishonest salespeople I have ever met. We went there to test drive a preowned 2009 Honda Civic, which we liked. The salesperson initially quoted us $12000. We pointed out that this was twice as much as the Kelley Blue Book value. The salesperson immediately became aggressive and told us that they know how much the car is worth. We tried to negotiate but the salesperson /manager would not take less than $10000. Now that car is listed on their website for $7900. What a ripoff! read more

They tried to sell me a used car as a "new" one. We negotiated the price and vehicle up front. I was literally in the middle of signing paperwork when I went outside to check the car after they brought it back from "the car wash". Clue 1) 350 miles on the odometer. Salesman came up with BS excuse about this being a dealer trade from SoCal and they drove the car up instead of on a truck Clue 2) candy wrappers in the back seat Clue 3) a large tube containing marketing material under the floor mat Clue 4) stains and spills on the seats Salesman kept coming up with BS excuses after each discovery... wouldn't own up to it, and kept pushing us to take the car. Clue 5) used wine glass found under the passenger seat! No joke. The story I was then finally given was that the owner took the car for a weekend trip and then they tried to sell it to me. Yup, sounds like a place I want to do business with. Bought the identical NEW car (~10 miles on the ODO) at Stevens Creek Honda for the same price a few days later. And, those guys had 5 of the exact same car (colors, options, etc) to choose from! It was a further drive, but totally worth it. read more

I came in because of an airbag recall on my car. I scheduled an 11 AM appointment and arrived before my scheduled time. They said the car should be ready in 1.5 hours and they would call me when it was ready. 3 Hours later, they had not called. I call them and inquire about the estimated time my car would be ready. They said they estimated it would take another hour (2.5 hours over the original estimated time). Two hours pass (3.5 total hours over the original estimated time) they call me asking when I was planning to pick up my car. I inform them that no one called me to let me know it was ready. When I arrive the employee does offer me a free oil change because of the wait time. read more

Sitting in a freezing customer waiting room waiting for a tire with a nail in it (that is repairable) to be fixed. I'm told it will be 90 minutes - it appears all repairs here take 90 minutes. Really crappy customer service here. Who knows how good the repairs will be. read more

Unfortunately the sales person took 15 minutes while I waited to come back to tell me that they did not have any cars in stock that I had asked to see. I GOT 99 PROBLEMS AND A HONDA AIN'T ONE My daughter and I were on our way to San Francisco from Sacramento when my engine light came on in my Honda Accord on the highway. I phoned my hubby and told him we were in Berkeley and that the car was running okay although the light was on. We had a pit stop and while driving through town, the idling was a bit erratic. After our pit stop and restarting the engine, the idling was back to normal. We were concerned and needed to find the closest Honda dealer who had service. After a quick search, we found Berkeley Honda. My hubby had phoned and spoke to Rory, a service adviser about our predicament. I checked in at the service department and spoke to Rory. I told him about our situation and that we were basically stuck, miles from home. He told us that it would be over an hour and a half wait. I was a little surprised to hear I would wait that long because there was only one other customer there.So, after we waited close to two hours, Rory phones me and tells me that after he hooked up my car to the computer, they found that the rocker arm pressure switch needed to be replaced. He told us that they didn't have the part in stock and that the closest dealer in their area would be closing in an hour. He told me that Berkeley Honda is closed on Sundays and that I would have to leave my car over the weekend and wait til Monday for them to put the part in. I was in a panic, especially being so far from home. I told Rory that I was willing to drive my car back home since the idling was okay just before I came. He told me that their mechanic highly recommended me not attempting it. So I call my hubby and tell him the details and he calls Rory back. When hubby asked Rory for the codes, he put him on hold several times for minutes at a time. Rory told hubby that the part we needed was not in stock anywhere in northern California except for the dealer in Vallejo. Well, come to find out, the closest dealer to my home is Autowest Honda, and they had the part in stock. So long story short, we bought the part in Roseville. I paid $159 to Berkeley Honda for them to hook my car to a computer. I decided to drive my car home instead of leaving it at the dealership. I figured I would take the chance and was willing to have it towed if the need rises. Luckily, we made it back without any idling issues and put the part in ourselves. This could've been an expensive trip if I just did what they told me and had waited until Monday to have had my car serviced here. I don't think these people are honest, and I would never buy a car from them or bring my car again for service. I brought my relatively new car here for a simple oil change, and got a call from the manager. He was super nice, and explained that there was something wrong with my oil tank, and there was no way to change the oil without replacing the tank and that he would give me a good deal, but it would be about $800. He seemed authentic, but I decided to be smart about it and get a second opinion. I went to another dealership without telling them what the manager had said about my car. They changed my oil in a few hours, and told me that my car was in great shape. I mentioned that I had been told there was something wrong with my oil tank, and the manager of the new dealership said that it was perfectly fine. read more

This place is run by people who wake up every morning and plan on low balling they do. At least they succeed in low balling. I went in for a simple oil change, and mentioned a brake squeal. They called me to confirm that the front brakes were low and needed to be replaced. I gave them permission contingent on ONE thing. That they save my brake pads for me to inspect myself upon my return. I get a call an hour later saying they are all replaced, but someone accidentally threw out the brake pads. The brake job cost over $250, and I wasn't able to verify the replacement cause. Their excuse: "oh sorry, we put the pads on a pile of other stuff and the scrap metal guy came by unexpectedly and took the whole thing away. At least I didn't get just any brake pads and pretend they are yours, we're honest." You guys are honestly worthless. One simple request. SAVE THE BRAKE PADS. Are you kidding me? I told them I won't be coming back to a place that can't even perform simple functions such as placing an object in a place where it won't be thrown away, i.e. your DESK. TRY IT. DO NOT COME HERE if you need something checked out on your car and you work during normal business hours. I started calling this Honda about getting my AC unit looked at in August (it was broken, I just didn't know what was wrong with it), and whenever I called, nobody answered the phone. I went in one day in August to make an appointment, but the service center was closed (it was after work hours). I was told to leave my contact information and my car information, and someone would get back to me. Nobody ever did. After about another month of consistent calling (in September), I went down to the Autocenter again and spoke with the General Manager. He was very hospitable and told me to bring my car in first thing on a Saturday morning. I brought my car in a couple of Saturdays later, and explained that the General Manager told me to bring it in early on a Saturday. The guy working the service desk at this time told me that they couldn't look at my car because I didn't have an appointment. After I explained to him that I've been trying to make an appointment via phone, but that nobody ever answered the phone (the service I needed wasn't available on the online appointment system), he said that he had to take care of the appointments first. That was fair. I went inside to check if there were any appointments available the next day, and there were many open. I went back out to the service desk to make sure they would be able to look at my car if I made an appointment, and he said they still wouldn't be able to look at it. He said that even if I brought my car in early the next day, they would have to take cars that had less time-consuming service issues first. Specifically, he noted that if there were cars that came in after mine, they would be served before mine. He said that I could come in on Monday morning to have the main service man look at my car, and when I told him I had to work, he was very dismissive and offered no other options. I asked him if other Hondas in the area would be able to look at it, and he said he had no way of checking. I asked if he could call the closest Honda to see if they were going to be free the next day, and he said he couldn't. I was then sent inside to get the phone number for the nearest Honda, but when I called it, the number was out of service (they gave me the wrong number). I went to OAKLAND Honda the next day, and they were able to take care of my car as soon as I brought it in. If you need good and timely customer service, DO NOT go to Berkeley Honda. Rory, the service advisor is a total JERK!!! He quoted me $30 more than what's quoted on their web. When I showed him the price on their web, he began to become rude. When I asked him whether tire rotation is necessary since I had my car for less than one year, he refused to explain. And when I questioned him about the difference between minor and intermediate maintenance, he turned into a total asshole and said "you can get whatever you want". Then he asked me to sign, and refused to explain what I'm getting." Horrible experience. I don't think it is possible to get worse service anywhere else than Berkeley Honda Auto Center!! read more

This review is for the service department, and for Rory Dimick in particular. I bought my car at Berkeley Honda in March. Four days later, my car was sideswiped, and the driver's side mirror was knocked off. They repaired it for me, but knocked loose some wires in the driver's side panel, so that some of my buttons did not work. When I brought it back (many months later, admittedly, because I'm busy), I asked why I was being charged to repair those buttons. Rory told me that they would not pay for faulty wires, even though the receipt said that those wires were loose. He said that it was not their fault. The young cashier who was helping me, who was quite nice but smelled of alcohol at 8 in the morning, then said, "Well, I guess it's a case of 'He said, She said." I then called and asked to speak to Rory's supervisor. Rory answered and would not transfer me. I told him I was upset with my service, and that my receipt said that the wires were loose. He said "Yeah, they're faulty." I told him it was not the same thing, and he just did not respond. And now my cruise control doesn't work. I hope that the $220 they got for those wires was worth it to Rory to lose any other money I would ever spend there. Don't go there for service! read more

I wish I could leave no stars. Rory and Carter are grade-A jerks. Rory was beyond rude on the phone and in store. He quoted me a price for service on my vehicle. I tried to explain multiple times that his pricing was not correct because my car runs on natural gas, but apparently listening is not high on his list of personal strengths. Rory promised that if I drove 40 minutes into the service center that the price he quoted me would be the price I paid. Easy enough, right? Wrong. I drive the 40 minutes and we sit down to review all of the official Honda maintenance items associated with my vehicle's current required service. Oh, what's that Rory? You misquoted the price and won't honor your offer? I then call Carter, the service manager, and explain the situation. He says, leave your car there, have the service performed and I'll "take care of you." I say I'm not comfortable with open-ended promises to which Carter responds that he will make me "100% whole." I go back in to be rebuffed by Rory and am told that he no longer has time for me. Carter tells me to come back for the service on a morning that he's in and that he'll make the issue "100% whole." Fast forward to this morning, I drive 40 minutes into the service department and sit down with Carter. He tries to tell me that my natural gas civic's maintenance codes do not include the items I say it does. We pull out the official Honda maintenance book and who is right? Oh, I am. Great, the service manager doesn't even understand the service process for his dealership's vehicles. Carter then proceeds to tally up the retail value of all of the services required and quotes me a price 4 times that of what Rory had offered. When asked if I'd like to proceed I say "Yes, but only at the price you had in mind when you stated that you would make the situation right. I believe the term was 100% whole." Carter says "Great, I'll give you 10% off." What an absolute pieces of work. Carter and Rory both wasted hours of my life. They both lack the ability to listen, keep their word, and care for customers. For any of you wondering, Carter confirmed that he believes that making someone 100% whole means giving the standard 10% discount that they have rolling forward in perpetuity. I will never bring my vehicles to these two jokers ever again. read more

Our experience buying a car at Berkeley Honda was extremely disappointing. The sales staff were not welcoming in any way, and it seemed from the very beginning like they had no interest in selling us a car. Our salesman could not answer any of our questions about the used vehicle we were looking at. He left us sitting in the lounge for about 45 minutes while they were theoretically "inputting things in the computer" meanwhile all of the staff were just sitting around socializing. Then, when we asked about negotiating the price of our vehicle, the staff were very unprofessional and were yelling at the top of their lungs down the hall about how we couldn't negotiate the price of the vehicle. We finally left with our vehicle after being rushed through some paperwork by the finance officer who was the only pleasant person we encountered at Berkeley Honda. We definitely will not be returning here for any sales or service in the future because I was more capable of acting like an adult when I was eight years old than any of the sales staff at Berkeley Honda. read more

And I said if I like the car I will buy it after I check out some other models. He then says you are wasting my time. After the test drive he starts throwing out these outlandish quotes. $3000 higher then most of the quotes I have received from other dealers. I just read Confessions of a Car Salesman and he was exactly what expected only rude and obnoxious. His neck also started turning red after he embarrassed himself a few times....how appropriate!! I remember a lot of people protesting at that Honda and a huge inflated rat outside. That should have been a red flag! read more

This is a review for my experience with the dealership. Very tempted to give one star - but I DID like the location (easy access & street parking) & didn't feel pressured as I was looking at vehicles on the lot. Two pluses, in my book! Plus- I think the initial salesman was easy to talk to & did his best to answer my questions. I found a car I was extremely interested in & made an initial offer which was immediately (and expectedly) countered. I put forth my next offer (which truly WAS the highest I would go) & the salesman went off to check with the manager. After a few minutes - out he came with a smile and the good news, "We can do that!" Excited & a little nervous - I head to the office where we proceed to fill out ALL the paperwork for a credit check. Off he goes with the completed & signed papers.... only to come back with "good news & bed news". The bad news was that the "owner" wanted the FULL asking price - but the good news was that I might still be able to get it the next morning for my offer.... they would have to discuss it & see. I head home & get a voicemail the next morning saying - "we can do it" - promptly followed by another call from the manager saying "let's see if we can make a deal". I clearly stated that I made my offer & that was as high as I could go. The manager said he would call me back.... he never did. That evening I called the salesman, inquiring the status of my offer. He said he would call me back.... and never did. I tried calling one more time, but hung up when I connected to voice mail. The car stayed on the lot & they eventually list it on craigslist where it obviously sold. I'm sure they were holding out to try to get more money for it... which I understand. It IS a business. But for crying out loud - don't jerk your customers around like that. If the offer is too low - just say it. I would have even appreciated a statement like, "Look - we're going to try to sell it this week at the full price, if it doesn't sell... can we call you to see if you're still interested?" I feel it's rude to tell me I had it, shake my hand, have me fill out & sign all that paperwork... then tell me in so many words, "whoooooopsy! Nevermind!" Plus it was super unprofessional NOT to call back, either (especially of the manager!). All & all - pretty disappointed in the experience. Too bad! I guess that's why I generally buy cars from private sellers, anyway! read more

Been looking for a new Fit, and went to these guys to ask some questions and test drive one. I show up with my girlfriend (who will also be driving it) and ask if they have any automatics in stock that I could drive. Guy says that they don't, but they have a few manuals I could check out. I'm still on the fence about which trim to get, so short of a test drive, I ask if I could check out the cabins of each and the guy says that I only need to see one because they are the same. My mental alarms start ringing because what he told me isn't true at all. There is different material on the seats, the EX has a larger computer screen, a moonroof, additional speakers in the cabin, and the height of the cabin is over an inch smaller. So the rep leaves us alone in the EX for about 5 minutes to help another customer, which is great. We check out some of the features, and decide that the moonroof makes a significant difference and that we would likely be getting that trim. The guy comes back and his first words to us are: "You guys are just messing around right?" Now I understand that I'm only 24 years old, and maybe don't look like I am in the market for a new car, but this comment is absolutely F***ing ridiculous. We had been nothing less than respectful customers, who were very serious about test driving and purchasing a car, so this really caught me off-guard. I plainly told him that we were not messing around and he seemed to change his tune, and offered to give us a call when an automatic came in so we could drive it. Okay, great, we got the info we needed and would return when he gave us a call. A week later, and no call, we decide to ring them up and see if they had any automatics in by then. Guess what? They did! I don't know what exactly happened, was this just a curmudgeonly old man who didn't think we were serious buyers and not worthy of his time? Was he just an incompetent salesman who didn't know his products, and couldn't manage to call someone back? In either case, these guys did not deserve our business, so we took it to the El Cerrito dealership and were treated much better. read more

These guys are cheat. I bought a honda civic hybrid 5 yrs back from these guys. I checked kbb and title was clean. Last week when I was trying to sell the car I was informed by a potential buyer that the car had major accident (just before I bought it) which was not reported to kbb that time. The accident report is now present on kbb. These guys were clearly knew about the accident and hide from me. When I checked the car with local mechanic, they immediately shown me the signs of accident. I am going to loose a huge money while selling the car. read more

Meh. I left a voicemail on Sunday noon explaining the problems I had with my car. They promptly returned my call on Monday morning. So communication-wise it was fine. The "meh" part was when I drove there, they really couldn't tell me much about what they can do about the problem. To be specific, a piece of plastic fell off while I was refueling my tank. Didn't make much of it until I realized my gas tank wouldn't open anymore because it was part of an apparatus that pushed an actuator. How silly is that?? At least I could still open the gas tank if I press the button while someone pries open the door. But that's no fun. I've read online that you can just stick any solid thing that will stay in there, and it will help push the actuator no problem. I figured it should be an easy / cheap fix so I brought it into the service center because why not. They couldn't tell me anything other than that someone will look at it the morning after. And would still charge me $150 base fee plus anything that I may have to purchase for the car. I'm an engineer. Even if I weren't an engineer, it doesn't take a genius to find a 1/8" rod and stick it in the actuator-cavity. I politely declined the service. This isn't a 4-5 star service because that kind of business would be way more attentive to my needs and would give a more comprehensive summary of the kind of work they may do to my car. I've worked on cars before so I know that things may become more complicated than appears, but they can do more than telling me someone will take a look tomorrow morning while slapping on a $150 fee. It's not a 1-star service because I think they did what they're supposed to do. But that's still sub-par my expectations. I would not return here--I'd rather drive 60 miles to my trusted body shop in Sunnyvale. (So missing B2 Perfection Auto Body in Sunnyvale! I called to make an appointment to get a part replaced on my Honda after a recall was issued. The worker in the service department was very rude to me over the phone, did not answer my question, and began yelling at me. I have taken my car there before for service, and I have never left feeling good. The last time, they said it would take an hour and they would cal me when it was done. It took 5 hours, and they did not call me AT ALL, or pick up the phone/respond to my message when I called them. They charge more than they should, do not communicate well with their customers, and are unreliable. I would not willingly take my car there again, unless it is for a free recall repair. We leased a Honda Civic two years ago for my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary present and that initial transaction was excellent. However, a few days ago we received an email offer from Rezuel the Internet Sales Manager offering a new lease on a 2015 Honda Civic for only $3 more a month than we pay now and no money down. Sounded like a great offer, so my spouse made an appointment, cancelled a business meeting, and my father-in-law drove an hour down from Rio Vista with the car. What happens when they get there? Yes, you guessed it. Berkeley Honda couldn't possibly do the deal for the price quoted! And oh, they didn't have any 2015 Honda Civics in stock. Really??? This is how you are doing business now? Sorry to inform you that this is called a "bait and switch" routine. Not only have you just lost previously happy, loyal customers, you've now got another bad Yelp review. We will not do business with Berkeley Honda again and will most definitely use a different dealership when our lease term is up next year. Absolutely infuriating. read more

Went to drop off my car for service and had to see finance manager and had to go in office. They weren't wearing mask in there. Nor was the sales manager wearing a mask and many other. They had signs posted about it but no masks were worn. read more

I just finished filing my complaint with American Honda Customer Service. This is the worst Honda dealer in the Bay Area. From Ken Quan in Internet Sales, to Matt Weathers in Service, all the way to the Dealer Principal, Steve Hayworth - there is zero (0) customer service. I bought an Odyssey from them on a Monday, brought it back Sat to have an ext trim piece replaced as it was damaged upon delivery. That day I showed them a damaged int. panel i wanted replaced. (That's where the nightmare came out). It took them a full week to get the part...it came damaged (Honda of America's fault). It took Berkeley another 6 working days (part didn't come in till the following Mon) to get the part in. Apparently Berkeley didn't care that I had not driven the car for over a week...but offered to let me drive it home on Fri so I can then bring it back Mon when the replacement for the replacement part came in. Thanks guys for offering a very inconvenient resolution. So I complained...the Thurs. i found out the repl.-replacement wasn't due in till Monday. I told them that their service was dissapointing, that I didn't value their offer for additional free (bad) service on my new car. I'd rather have something tangible. I already bought my mats and other accessories. Matt said his hands were tied. I took my complaint to Mgmt. That's where Mr. Dealer Principal Steve Hayworth comes in (after being passed off by the other dealer Principal Tim Beinke). Steve basically says he's sorry to hear I'm unhappy but, feels that everyone at Berk. Honda did right by me and that none of them understand my reasons for ranting about bad service....that i'm just out to get free stuff. Says he, "won't be held hostage" by my complaint, and that 'he'd like to do nothing to compensate me for this horrible service and purchase experience'. I told him that I appreciate his honest opinion, that we differ on what customer service means as well as their perceived performance. I told them they can expect the lowest scores possible when it came to me rating them. Steve said fine. I'm glad I never will deal with them again and sorry I ever started. And to put things in perspective, I took my car today to San Leandro Honda for more interior warranty work (yes...there are lots of quality workmanship problems with these '11 Oddys - wait for the 2012s or better yet buy Siennas!). My Svc Advisor @ SL Honda says they'll get the part there tomorrow and the work will be done tomorrow! Props to Jessica @ SL Honda. I give Berkeley Honda: 0 for Sales Support (Ken says he is there to provide service after the sale...I got nothing but empty apologies and excuses 0 for Service (they have no clue...just read more reviews here about them 0 for Dealer Mgmt...see story above and I think a few more stories here about how they treat customers.
