I took the car to German Auto Sports and they determined right away what the needed repairs were and a fair price for the work. They ordered the parts and had me come in when they had exactly what they needed. The repair was absolutely perfect, completed on time for the agreed upon price. I'll never go back to MB of Oakland - ever.

Just responding to what the owner, Chris Lingle, said in response to my first review. Chris, where…read morein my review did I "insinuate any of your technicians" took something from my car? Read it again. (I guess you have a reading comprehension problem) I said something of irreplaceable value disappeared from my car after I was certain it was left in my car when the car was in your care. Should I have not mentioned that? Why would I not mention it in my review? The item was left in the car. You guys had my car for 3 weeks. When I picked up the car, the item was gone. I also suggested that perhaps it might have been one of the car wash guys who took my item, since I was told you don't wash the cars on site, but instead take it down the street to the car wash place. As soon as I saw it was missing, I called your shop, and asked one of the desk guys about it. He did not apologize or take any accountability for it, and gave a bland reply to my lost item while my car was in the care of your shop with: "I'll ask if anyone's seen it," but then he never got back to me to say "I asked around, no one here saw it. We're sorry this happened," as a goodwill gesture. Why not? Clearly no one there gives a damn about such things. I dropped over $5K grand there, after an exhausting ordeal of over 3 weeks of my car in your shop, knowing full well I was overcharged, and I couldn't get a simple call back? Because you guys are then onto a pricier vehicle. "Old" cars like mine are low priority, I get it. Your weak response to your desk guys not responding to my 10-15 calls in a timely manner, by saying your shops gets "over 300 calls a day" is laughable. You're only open 8 hours. The phone would be ringing literally nonstop if you had "hundreds" of calls a day. Truth is more likely "dozens," and it is a weak, girly-man excuse that you have "too many calls" to respond to people in a timely manner. How do other shops manage it, those that get the same or greater number of calls? You make it sound like there is one or two guys running the whole shop and the machanic has to field calls in addition to his repair work - lol. Every time I have been in there, the two desk guys are relaxed behind the front desk, taking the occasional call. If it is actually "impossible" or "too hard" to return calls in a timely manner WTF do you have your boys tell people "I'll get right back to you," "will call you within the hour" and "will get back to you by end of the day?" It is disingenuous, and at the end of the day, disrespectful to your customers.

Unfortunately the boats weren't in 100% efficient working order and apparently our scheduled maintenance wasn't getting done as well as we had hoped. When our maintenance department started falling behind we decided to look to outside vendors to maintain the boats. Needless to say we couldn't find one to our liking locally. It was then passed onto our planning department to try and find someone who is a "Yamaha authorized dealer" since we use Yamaha motors. Our search brought us to Park Presidio Marine located on the other side of the Bay. Luckily for us, PPM was willing to come over to us and take a look at our boats and come up with a plan to service our boats at our facility. It's now been 8 weeks and 4 visits since we first made contact with PPM and I can't say enough good things our how this is working out. Ryan has been able to get 2 of our boats back up to working order. He listens to my concerns and addresses them quickly. From what I've heard, our planning department is now expecting to try and purchase a 250 HP replacement motor and have them mount it on our twin motored 32 footer. I'll be sure to write up another review about how that goes, but so far we are very satisfied with PPM. Keep doing what your doing Gary and Ryan!

He and the…read moreonly other black person (his friend) were being bullied continuously by a crew member named Zack. Apparently Zack was hyper focused on them almost the entire time, moving their equipment around without asking, hovering over them, ordering them around, and even openly made fun of my partner for the noises he made while using the bathroom! This was obviously targeted as my partner had observed over the trip that no one else on the boat was being treated this way. A different crew member had actually noticed this as well and agreed with my partner about Zack's behavior. To me this is insanely unacceptable to have someone like this on a boat crew that hosts people. My partner was super excited for this trip, he spent a lot of money for him and his friends to go and put in a lot of effort to make the trip happen. It's not often he does stuff for himself and he was really looking forward to it. After he came home he was just about in tears talking about it. It really hurts to see someone you care about look so crushed. My partner is a kind, friendly, and respectful person and did not do anything to deserve this kind of treatment. I'm really disappointed and angry for him and his experience. Aside from that - his experience with the rest of the crew and Captain J was great. Thank you Captain J for hearing him out afterward. I strongly recommend getting rid of this guy before he messes things up for your business and continues to hurt people. It's complete BS for this kind of thing to happen to not just a respectful paying customer but someone who didn't do anything but be black. Come on.

Wheelskins used to be a good product. I bought one 10 years ago for a previous vehicle that went on…read moreand lasted perfectly. This latest one is pretty poorly made. Apparently the company has also been sold recently as well. A guy named "Jim" used to own it and was very responsive. Whoever the latest crew is doesn't respond to email at all and barely answers the phone. I tried calling today before writing this review and nobody answers. When I called to have the measurements revised a month ago somebody named "Lauren" answered the phone. Evidently it's hit or miss. They're more expensive and the craftsmanship has fallen off. Even with the correct measurements I'm still having to pull and stretch this thing and even use a shoe horn to get it on the steering wheel, so I'm not sure what's going on. I'm also ending up spending an additional $15 at my shoe cobbler to have him stitch the seams (per his suggestion) where Wheelskins has them GLUED ONLY. And speaking of glue, the glue is hard and flaky/crunchy and falls off with the least amount of pressure. It's not even good glue. It looks like the crunch around the rim of a raw honey jar as it ages. So now the $64 Wheelskins which was more expensive than the $50 I spent 10 years ago for the first one, is now almost $80 - to correct THEIR work. Not a good experience. Don't think I'll be reordering unless they fix their quality control and craftsmanship to previous standards. Not cool. Update: 8/8/22 Emailed the company and a gentleman named "Tony" responded with an offer to replace the cover. Took about 4 days to ship it out and another 4 to arrive. I had him add an extra quarter inch on the length and the width and for some reason it was still difficult getting it on but I got it on. Took me two and a half hours to install. I needed a multi-tool (to pull the needle thru the holes), an exacto knife (to create and punch thru some holes), a thimble (to protect from getting stuck with the needle) and lots of patience cuz some of the holes didn't line up correctly, but the finished product was worth the effort. Adding another star.
