Dutch is the man! Super helpful, and informative. Thanks dude! The San Pablo store had the tools I needed and were happy to help.

Very nice people. Tested my battery for free and let me know it was bad. Told me my options and looked up pricing on wiper blades.

As soon as I walked into the shop I got a friendly greeting from German ("just like the car" he said).

One Stop is my number one for the same reasons many others come here: honest, knowledgeable…read morecountermen, great pricing and the ability to get the parts. It's not in stock? Is two hours OK with you? Impossible-to-get stuff takes four days in my experience. To me this store is a refreshing change from those conceived by a room full of MBAs, and they can give solutions that don't interest corporate MBAs. I do know *one* chain store with the green logo that repeatedly impresses me with their competency and depth. But One Stop can give you choices and tell you how they're likely to turn out. They can get unusual stuff, maybe beat eBay prices and be reliable at the same time. Sure, image is important but if you peer over the counter back in the aisles you may be able to see considerably higher organization and cleanliness than in front. For bored-looking guys, I suspect that if you and I knew we would both be amazed at the dollar volume these low-key total professionals turn. It's almost always one or two phone calls away - because they know who to call. And those old things in the yellowed packaging? They don't make a lot of that stuff anymore, particularly the specialized tools and if you can use it, it's gold. I have to admit that I'm old school - my first real job was in a jobber like this one many decades ago. There aren't many treasures like this left. So relax; ask and listen to what they tell you and ask some more if you need to. You don't need to be perfect, if you want a "10" fuse maybe something about what kind of car it fits and what year would help you both succeed. They *are* friendly if you be, too, and they might even come alive if you ask nicely for their advice or recommendation that will be backed by mondo experience. If you have a car it is likely you'll be back - why not introduce yourself? And yes, I've stood at the counter for what seemed like forever while they took the time needed to solve someone else's problem, but I knew I'd get the same attention if I needed it. And while I was waiting I picked up a trade mag and learned about current tech on alternator overrun pulleys, another time found a tool I needed and they had the best price. No, I'm not still in the auto trade, just a geek with some old cars I'm very fond of. And anytime we undertake a repair on anything, isn't it always against all odds? That's why we're here on Yelp, right?

Wheelskins used to be a good product. I bought one 10 years ago for a previous vehicle that went on…read moreand lasted perfectly. This latest one is pretty poorly made. Apparently the company has also been sold recently as well. A guy named "Jim" used to own it and was very responsive. Whoever the latest crew is doesn't respond to email at all and barely answers the phone. I tried calling today before writing this review and nobody answers. When I called to have the measurements revised a month ago somebody named "Lauren" answered the phone. Evidently it's hit or miss. They're more expensive and the craftsmanship has fallen off. Even with the correct measurements I'm still having to pull and stretch this thing and even use a shoe horn to get it on the steering wheel, so I'm not sure what's going on. I'm also ending up spending an additional $15 at my shoe cobbler to have him stitch the seams (per his suggestion) where Wheelskins has them GLUED ONLY. And speaking of glue, the glue is hard and flaky/crunchy and falls off with the least amount of pressure. It's not even good glue. It looks like the crunch around the rim of a raw honey jar as it ages. So now the $64 Wheelskins which was more expensive than the $50 I spent 10 years ago for the first one, is now almost $80 - to correct THEIR work. Not a good experience. Don't think I'll be reordering unless they fix their quality control and craftsmanship to previous standards. Not cool. Update: 8/8/22 Emailed the company and a gentleman named "Tony" responded with an offer to replace the cover. Took about 4 days to ship it out and another 4 to arrive. I had him add an extra quarter inch on the length and the width and for some reason it was still difficult getting it on but I got it on. Took me two and a half hours to install. I needed a multi-tool (to pull the needle thru the holes), an exacto knife (to create and punch thru some holes), a thimble (to protect from getting stuck with the needle) and lots of patience cuz some of the holes didn't line up correctly, but the finished product was worth the effort. Adding another star.

I returned to the store couples times, the staff didn't know what to do & the manager wasn't around. A female staff was very rude & held hostage my receipts, although I asked her to release the receipts back to me several times, she wouldn't & yelling at me that I only eligible for $22 refund, she refused to look at the amount of sales tax printed on the receipt. This is not only about the $2.26 sales tax on the core that wasn't refunded to me, but more about the store reaping off its customers for not having correctly working software in refunding the amount to its customers plus not very knowledgeable staff about the refund process & inapropriate female staff who treated store customer rudely & held hostage customer's receipts. The store & the corporate need to do some deep training to its staff & to correct its software to refund customer's money in full.
