My review of this business is long overdue, but I believe it is important to share my experience so that other Ducati owners can make informed decisions. Several months ago, I brought my Ducati 800SS to this shop for service. The work performed included an oil and filter change, cam belt replacement, safety inspection, and other maintenance items, for a total cost of more than $1,400. At the time, I was recovering from multiple eye surgeries and was unable to ride the motorcycle myself. A neighbor assisted me by transporting the bike to and from the shop. When the service was completed, Lawrence contacted me to arrange pickup. I explained that I needed time to coordinate transportation with my neighbor. He informed me that if the motorcycle was not picked up within two days, storage fees of $150 per day would be charged. Given my medical circumstances, I found this response disappointing and lacking flexibility. After retrieving the motorcycle, I immediately noticed that it was not running properly. The bike lacked power and did not shift smoothly between gears. I contacted Lawrence and was advised to continue riding it, with the expectation that the issues would resolve themselves. After approximately one month, the problems persisted. When I called again to discuss the situation, I felt my concerns were dismissed, despite explaining that I had recently undergone a cornea transplant and had limited ability to ride the motorcycle. I requested that the shop inspect the bike and address the issues, but was told I would need to pay for additional diagnostic work. Since the motorcycle had not been operating correctly following the service, I was disappointed that there was no willingness to verify whether the issues were related to the work that had been performed. As a result, I sought a second opinion from another Ducati specialist. During their inspection, they found that the throttle bodies were out of synchronization and that the fuel lines had deteriorated. After replacing the fuel filter and fuel lines and correcting the throttle body synchronization, the motorcycle ran exceptionally well and performed like new. Based on my experience, I found the customer service lacking, felt that my concerns were not taken seriously, and was disappointed by the shop's unwillingness to stand behind its work. While others may have had different experiences, I cannot recommend this business based on my own. read more

Lawrence is amazing. First and foremost, he knows what he's doing. He rides and races motorcycles and has decades of expertise. I have a 1984 BMW r80st and I wouldn't take it to anyone else. The only "problem" is that he's so good that he's usually busy, but he schedules work ahead of time and manages his time well. Lawrence is a professional. He has clear standards for how he works and he adheres to them. When I handed him my 1971 R75/5 he said that he would need to do a $280 diagnostic session with it to determine what needed to be done. I was clear what needed to be done--I wanted it tuned up. His response was thoughtful--people come in with $1500 bikes with $3000 worth of problems and if it doesn't make sense to spend the money on a tune up because the transmission is going; it's a prescription for people feeling bad. He did a thorough diagnostic work up, and then went ahead and did a tune up. I've ridden /5s most of my riding life (50 years) and have always worked on them myself. When Lawrence was done, it ran better than I can ever remember a /5 running. Furthermore, he communicates clearly and takes time to thoroughly explain everything that he has done and what I might consider doing in the future. During the pandemic I found a business card on my 2016 Triumph Bonneville T100. It was a shop a lot closer to my place. So, I decided to give it a try for the next service. Well, Lawrence is a true professional and yes fair on the prices. I felt they were a little high but seeing how he meticulously goes through everything. He is being fair and you can be confident that your bike will be in top condition. I moved to Pittsburg a couple of years ago but I keep bringing my baby here. My Triumph Street Triple caught fire while I was riding. I was able stop quickly and put out the fire with extinguisher from a McDonald's but not before damage was done to the electrical system. On recommendation from Bay Area Rider Forum members I contacted Lawrence. I knew there was a possibility the damage would be a total, but Lawrence made an assessment, determine what work would be better to be safe and provided an estimate. I approved the work and he was able to breath new life in my ride, communication was good, the work solid and he was very clear about what he was going to do and what he did. No surprises and I could not recommend him higher. read more

The owner of this motorcycle repair shop is divorced from the reality of operating a business. To keep this review short, he refused to complete the service we agreed upon. I had to pay Lawrence $200 to get my unrideable motorcycle released to me. Then I had to arrange for towing or he was going to charge me a $75 per day storage fee. I had to handle two boxes of parts from my motorcycle because he would not put my motorcycle back together. NO JOKE! The really sad thing about this awful experience is that my beloved BMW RT was stored, for the most part, outside for a month. The tow truck driver mumbled something about Lawrence having "issues" and this is how he operates. Seriously, beware. read more
