I should have done better research and more calling around. 2 years of treatment came to a referral for a procedure my insurance doesn't cover, doesn't even consider it it's just flat excluded from the policy. 2 years of what I am now realizing was just lies and passing blame to the other side. 2 months later and I am still waiting and being fed more lies. Displeased with their work. Case was continually handed off from lawyer to lawyer within their organization, resulting in no continuity of issues. A very important aspect of how the accident occurred was not worked and straightened out for what really happened. The fire department moved our vehicle to the side of the road. This was not communicated to the state patrol. Had it been, the person causing the accident would have been ticketed for failure to yield. I was involved in an accident with a Truck carrying containers to the Port of Seattle and lucky for me I had a dash camera and their driver was cited by SPD . I hired BLG and thought I was in good hands ...... until the lawyer sent me a opt out letter , saying that they excepted a new client ... it was the trucking company I had a case against . I signed the waiver ( which I should have found a new attorney, so I take some blame) but I went from having a great case , to " you didn't have any major injuries , so you should be happy with initial offer of 25k, which I promptly refused " ( I didn't lose a leg etc , but I had torn shoulder muscle ) so she got them to go alittle higher and they took their chuck out of it . I believe if they had not accepted the Trucking company's case , my settlement would have been allot higher . In the end , they should have made the trucking company go find another lawyer, but all the y saw was dollars signs of the big trucking company as their client " hey look , we got you off the hook with a small settlement " we want your business ! Although this firm chose not to represent me for the horrific two years we suffered (which will continue to affect us the rest of our lives) all I received was a brief e-mail saying they didn't take our type of case from a paralegal. I called Kirk Bernard law firm after a slip and fall accident at a restaurant, and being hit with a car driven by my ex-wife the week later. I was injured to the point of not being able to move, had periods of unconsciousness, and blacking out while driving during my job which I subsequently had to quit. I called Kirk Bernard Law firm and the person that I spoke to was talking to me on her car phone and said the firm couldn't be of any help. She hung up on me. The Bernard Law Group are the most unprofessional, lousy attorneys I have ever had to deal with due to an automobile accident. So we had to start a lawsuit against our own insurance company, which is State Farm (awful insurance company) because my husband has to have an MRI done and see an Ortho Surgeon State Farm assigned an investigator like we were liars. We hired Gina from the Awful Bernard Group and what we got was the worst experience of our life. They took our case, and when they talked to the claims specialist, they called us back and dropped us saying the specialist said were being investigated for the fraud that awful women Gina would not even let me speak she told us that we need to find another attorney and hung up in my face. I should have known because when I talked to her earlier she told me to get the paperwork from the hospitals and his doctor, but I thought that is what they were getting paid to do. I am so glad we did not keep them because it would have been worse down the line. That claims specialist lied and now they will deal with a Bad Faith Attorney.
