Terrible company, terrible customer service. They really don't know what they are doing. Called them months ago to figure out a rat problem, they came over and told us we had rats and a squirrel in the attic, and exterior holes that needed closing. They charged me $600 to take care of it, which I thought was a lot. Then they placed some traps (10 min) and came back the next week to check (5 Min). Nothing. Nothing the following week either. Then they stopped coming back and stopped responding to my calls. Finally after calling 4 times got them to agree to complete the work I paid for, and they call me again today to ask what services I need?? Like I am a new customer, or know what's going on in the attic?? If I knew that I wouldn't need their "expert" help, but clearly they don't know what they are doing. It is absolutely crazy to me how many polar opposite reviews I've read for this company. Makes me wonder if different branches/regions have vastly different quality of service? We've employed Berrett's quarterly services for over a year now. The service technician for our area (76111) is Tony - he's unfailingly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. If we're not home to let him into the house for a quarterly treatment, he's good about treating the outside of the house/property and rescheduling to treat the indoors at a more convenient time. Initially we had Berrett use their normal pest chemicals, but found they have a "green" line of treatments that we tested as safe for our toddlers and pets (highly recommend you ask about it - they don't charge extra to use it). It works very well... after treatment, I always find a few dead roaches by the garbage cans. Inside, if we do find bugs, they're either dead or dying. When we found army worms (type of moth caterpillar that eats grass) in our lawn between quarterly treatments, they didn't charge us extra to spray for them. Any time I've called their customer service, I've always gotten excellent service, straight answers, and never upsold or put off. And no, I'm not paid by them or related to them in any way. I found them via a Groupon and they've been a great service for us ever since. read more

STAY AWAY! I signed up and everything was fine, they came when they were scheduled to, cool. I then got a new debit card, and cancelled the service, it wasn't cancelled, they continued to send me bills every month. Finally I emailed them again and asked them to cancel the service it was finally cancelled. THEN I got a letter telling me they were sending me to collections OVER A SERVICE THEY NEVER PROVIDED. Unfortunately, this pest company made my roach infestation worst. Each time they came out it seem that the problem would stay the same or get worst. I used them for over a year and I just wasted my money. They just sprayed and laid down cheap dollar store sticky traps and the pest control guy who would come told me that seeing baby roaches was a good sign. Upon inquiring about the service, I received repeated aggressive sales calls from them pitching their quarterly service for $140ish per quarter. I gave it a try. First sign of a real problem (roaches in the crawl space) they tell us they don't deal with that. I have since hired a professional, who said that all Berrett does is spray some Ortho around, something you can do yourself for $10 a year. I never saw an actual contract and now that I'm requesting a stop to the "contract," they're running away. They're marketers, not pest control experts. Avoid and hire a pro. read more

Do not use this company! Signed up for this service for their quarterly calls. Heard from them one time the entire year after, the only reason I knew they had been there was my locked fence had been broken. From then on they no showed. When I called to ask, they said they would come out - still didn't. Called to reschedule them and ask about mosquito service. Still didn't show. Then they still charged me. I've called several times, asking to speak to a manager, every time they say one is busy and will call back but it never happens. The first woman I spoke to said she would "take care of everything" but then sent my account to a collector! A week ago they called offering for me to waive fees if I would sign back up, sure enough- still no manager available. Still waiting and now it's on my credit. Avoid them. I just signed up with them for a unlimited preventative program for an old house i purchased 6 months ago. I specifically told them the house was built in 1929 and I wanted to make sure I was protected from termites. They sold me the unlimited plan, showed up for first treatment, mosquitos were found in front porch but they would not treat them because they were not covered under the "unlimited plan". A month later, I received a call from a sales person wanting to sell me a termite plan for an additional $15 a month. I explained that I was told my current "unlimited" covered termites when I signed on. Customer service rep indicated termites were not covered. Feel lied to and ripped off!! read more

Called and requested services for two-story home wasps issue. Technician arrived, stated he was unaware of the request for two-story home and did not have a ladder. Technician tried knocking wasps down with pole stick and repeatedly had to be showed where wasps were located on the home after stating job was done. The wasps were eventually all knocked down, but was unable to spray and treat. read more

I have to update my review because these people kept at it and kept coming back until they got rid of the bedbugs. At first I had an issue with them canceling and not calling me to let me know. They need to pay a little bit more attention to appointments and timely rescheduling if someone is unavailable. I understand that you can't always do that. People get sick, have transportation problems, etc. But they did, after several months, get rid of the bedbugs. I understand that it's not an easy task. If I need help with this in the future, I'd consider them. When my husband and I were dating, he had a problem with bedbugs and he used Terminix. He had complaints about the way they left bedding on the floor when they had said they'd put everything back the way they found it. But overall he was happy with them because after a few tries, they got rid of the bedbugs. Truthfully, I'd use either Berrett or Terminix. Berrett employees who came to my house were nice. read more

Unfortunately I am one of the few that did not receive great service from them. They have come out multiple times to service my house and I still have big issues. I should not have to rearrange my schedule over and over for their unlimited warranty to come back out after the first 3 attempts yields negative results. The 109 cancellation is better that the additional 300 I would have to pay for sub par service. read more

Worst Pest control I've ever had. Had spiders inside my house. They sent someone to inspect to make sure it wasn't bed bugs. Then never sent a tech to spray after telling me my house was the cleanest he'd seen in his 20 years. Called about fire ants I was told that's not part of my service. My final straw was I called because I have mice in my garage. They wanted to send someone yet again to investigate. I saw the mouse with my own eyes!!! There are dropping. But apparently I can't be trusted to know what I'm seeing is real. So they wanted to send out an investigator who would then go back and say yep they have mice. So instead I fired them. We hired them to get rid of our ant issue. After their original visit we signed an annual service with them. After signing the deal they visited us two more times and were never able to resolve our ant problem. The third time we call they said they will change us $120 to come out for the fourth time which in case they only been in twice. This is a company cant kill ants and terribly dissatisfied with their services. Will never hire them and recommend you shouldn't either. read more

I used this pest control company a few times. The service was ok but I did not see a difference so I contacted them to officially discontinue and all was good...or so I thought. Later, I find out they had sent my account to collections for $119! I was shocked and assumed it was a mistake because I never got a bill. Had I been aware, I would have paid it. But now I have to deal with this blemish on my credit report for such a ridiculous amount. So be careful if you want to stop using Berrett because that's when the experience will go south. Berrett Pest Control has always been outstanding until the last time they were out to service my house for ants. The guy was like " I can't spray this little section over here in the front yard ". Now the strip is less than two foot wide and about 20 foot long that is in front of my neighbors house but is connected to my yard - there is no divider. No other techs have never had a problem and a different tech has even sprayed the backside of our wood fence for ants in the past. Now all of a sudden we can't spray that little section ? Also this tech only sprays the ant pile itself, not the whole area. We pay around $ 45.00 to $ 50.00 a month so close to $ 600.00 a year or a little less I believe. I think Barrett is a good company but you lose a customer because you wont make one little spray that you have sprayed before _ is this right ? other techs have went above and beyond to help get the job done. I don't know maybe this is strictly company policy _ I know this , when I mow the yard _ I am the one mowing, and edging the section that was refused to be treated. I will take my money to another company that appreciates the business. Every time they come out I always offer drinks to the tech and treat them like family I guess that was all forgotten today. Great company until you want to cancel..we had them for about a year. We live out in the country and since they've been coming have rarely had an issue with bugs. I loved the guy who came out to spray. Unfortunately, they put you on a set schedule and text you the day before they come. Even if you respond with a no the service guy will still come. We tried multiple times to cancel and they just kept showing up. The issue is when they come and you're not home they spray outside but not inside and charge you for the entire thing. My husband called three times to cancel but they just kept coming. Finally I had enough. They text us the day before and we told them not to come by both call and text. When I saw the technician arrive on my cameras I immediately called. They told me they had no record of us wanting to cancel and they would have to charge us for the visit. I argued and they ended up pulling phone records and they discovered we tried to cancel. Even after that call I had to call their cancelation department to get the service cancelled. Well since we work the same hours they're open it's not easy. We called and the only lady that could help us wasn't there. Just frustrating. They really don't want you to leave.. read more

Glad that Berrett has has become more flexible with one time treatments. I had a contract with them year before and they got rid of my issue for almost a full year when I did not have service. Technicians are always efficient and timely and customer service is always so helpful. I had a company come to my door trying to sell me their "natural from a flower" pest services and did not appreciate them disregarding my no soliciting sign. Beretta pest control has the integrity that's hard to find in a company. One of the guys from Berrett caused damaged in my ceiling. The owner requested two estimates to fix the damage. The owner did his own investigation and found out the problem was not cheap to fix and chose to pay the more expensive quote to assure it was done right. Amazing!!! It started with a groupon I purchased that turned out to be useless because your product just doesn't work well, that roped me into signing up to the yearly contract which I didn't want to do because your price isn't great but I also didn't want to lose the groupon funds by going somewhere else and your rap assured me a more extensive service with the contract. The first few times your raps showed up with shoes covering but most times didn't. I called you guys out several times for an ant problem complaining that your product is just not working and is there any other method to try. The response I received was "well you can call us out as many times as you'd like" well guess what I rather not spend my days on the phone with you or waiting on your rap to show up. I have asked your rap can you do anything other than just spray inside and out because it is not working, can you try to locate the colony? Or place traps? He said no we just spray eventually they will leave. The last time he showed up with a trainee and she heard my complaints and said she placed something else on the outside very thoroughly with the hopes that would help. The person training her just said oh yea that's good. I have also called at the end of my contract to make sure it is over and i wont be charged again letting the person i was speaking with know how unhappy i was. but i guess that's not in my file either. Called Barrett pest control service to schedule a treatment and inquired about groupon and wait time and a woman tried to heavily upsale me but my second encounter by phone was straight and to the point. I was able to schedule with groupon price within a week with flexible time period. The person who sprayed actually showed up early and thoroughly treated outside and inside. I feel like I got a great deal! I will be using service again. read more

A waste of money if you have ants, Terrible customer service, and doesn't deal with rodents! I have had this company come out to treat for ants, and to see if we have squirrels or mice in the attic. They said they don't treat for rodents, just bugs even though when I called and asked before they came out they said they did both! After the 3rd visit in 2 months, the ants were worse than before. They may as well have been spraying sugar water! I called and wanted to cancel as ants were my main issue. They said I couldn't cancel until 5 visits or a fee would occur (though they wouldn't tell me how much it would be!). I had them come out 2 more times and still no better. I finally got them to cancel and was told I'd get my money back after calling a few times and dealing with the Round-about of people... I was also not able to get ahold of a manager until my last call because they were "busy" or "not here right now". Then a few weeks later, I checked my bank statements and there was never a refund! I called again and was told it would be refunded (again) and am still waiting. What a scam. read more

Please choose a different company when seeking a pest control contract. They are great when they are selling you the product but customer service after the fact is not great. Just one example, press 1 and see how quick they answer for new customers, if you press 2 for existing customers you will sit on hold for 10 minutes. Tim the technician was amazing and a class act!
