We had a major rat problem in our attic, we went with berret pest control because of the overall review ratings Mr Hilier the salesman, sold me on the idea that my rat problem would be solved, he charged my credit card for the full amount of 2800.00. 3 weeks with no water because the rats chewed through my pex plumbing. Dakota came out and filled one of the holes with steel wool, but the rats were able to pull it out. So I called and asked if they can come back to permanently seal the hole up with a piece of metal that actually screws into the structure, and they did. But my rat problem persisted and berrets pest control 20 rat traps didn't catch anything but 2 rats in the 3 week period. I kept calling and nothing was getting taken care of, out of desperation I called another pest control company and they NOT only solved it in less then 3 hours but did the clean up and sanitation. The BIG rat entry point that was missed by berret was so obvious. We called Mr hillier back out, and he admitted that he failed to see that. Then when ask about a refund because non of the work was done such as sanitation, and exclusion work, he agreed that a refund was due, but he would have to go to upper management to make that decision. Several days passed and NOTHING from anyone at Berret. We finally got through to Chris and she basically said that rats are a process and takes weeks to exterminate rats. That the reason they missed that entry point is because we don't move things around the perimeter of the home. This is the MOST ludicrous thing I have ever heard, they took 2800.00 from a 80 year lady and will not take any responsibility for there negligence. I'm writing to share my recent disappointing experience with this company, specifically regarding the behavior of their inspector, Russ Slieter. On July 25th, we had a scheduled service to seal openings in our home to address a rat and mice issue. I had clearly requested in advance, via email, that two people be present to safely climb up the metal roof above our garage due to its slippery nature. Russ confirmed he would accompany the technician for safety. However, when only one technician arrived, we were surprised and concerned as he mentioned no one had informed him of the need for additional assistance. We reached out to Russ, expecting an explanation, but instead, he was unprofessional, rude, and dismissive, even hanging up on us when we tried to discuss the situation further. His behavior was unacceptable and lacked the courtesy and professionalism. On the positive side, the technician (Evan) and customer representative (Lucy) were both understanding and kind throughout this ordeal. Unfortunately, the overall experience was marred by Russ's conduct. I hope the company addresses these issues to improve their customer service in the future. read more

Friendly, timely and detailed service! Gary came out to our home when we bought a groupon for this company. I called on the weekend to schedule the service but there was a long hold, so I waited to call on Monday. I scheduled the appointment right away for the weekend and they had great availability. The day before the appointment they called and texted to confirm the appointment which I think is great. I was told it would be sometime between 9am and 11am. Gary kept me updated on the time and showed up at 9:15 am! When he arrived he was very friendly, talked to me to get an idea of my concerns and even gave us some helpful tips as new homeowners. He was not pushy and he had great customer service! He sprayed inside and was very nice to my cat and my son. He then sprayed outside and gave my husband some ideas for other issues we have being next to a green belt. I started seeing results within minutes and I am very happy with the service. He explained that we might see an increase in pest activity in the next day, but they would be dead within two days. We plan on getting set up with regular service. read more

There was no slacking off or getting comfortable or skipping steps.He took the time to explain things again and give informative information. He's like the pest Whisperer....lol! Kristian was more than wonderful. He made sure to help me get my treatment for my car done quickly and answered all of my questions and concerns, sometimes even before I could fully form the questions in my mind. One step ahead of the game. He treated me like I was the only customer he had to take care of that day and I never once felt like he was in a rush to get "done" with my appointment. He was extremely professional and thorough with his treatment as well. Beyond that, he cared about me as a person and took care to help me address the aspects of the treatment that would be different than most people due to my unique lifestyle. I had originally called a larger national company, just to be told that they don't even consider working with cars. Richard was top notch in helping us treat our apartment for maggots. He was able to fit us in that same day and did such a thorough job. He initially talked to my husband but I always have questions about these types of situations and Richard was happy to answer all of them. My favorite part about him was that he didn't bull shit us when it came to what was or wasn't done during the treatment. He was honest and gave me a comprehensive overview of what he saw, where he treated, what to expect and offered his assistance if I saw anything unusual prior to his next visit. You can tell he really cares about what he does as well as making his customers happy. I asked SO many questions and he was able to answer all of them. My dad also owns a pest control business in Florida and so I have a good idea of what a good pest control service should look like. Gary with Berrett Pest Control was fantastic! He went around my house and found 5 wasp nests that were not sprayed last week. Gary also went into the attic entries and made sure I had no rodent problem and sprayed all of my house inside and out. Gary told me the attic areas were sealed and in pretty a good condition. When Gary came into my house, he put on shoe protectors so he would not get my house soiled...when Gary went outside he sprayed everywhere and gave me all the information I needed to understand what he was doing. Gary also made sure that my fence gate was closed so my small dog would not leave my yard and possibly get ran over. It's nice to see good, honest employees that care about doing the job right and doing it right the first time. Gary is always welcomed in my house. GAME CHANGER! Enthusiastic to help, and actually is so, in SPADES!!! Ian is incredibly easy to communicate with, patient, confidently knowledgeable and constructively informative. On top of all that, he is genuinely determined to do a great job, and he does. I gained more from our simple rescheduling conversation than I did from 3 visits and "full treatments" for fleas prior. A true professional, he identified exactly what had to be done, and executed it to perfection; even while having to remain flexible to work around a variety of pets, (including exotics) with sincere interest in their wellbeing. Our technician, Gary, is always extremely nice and respectful, and very sweet to our pets! He's quick and efficient and we enjoy having him as our technician. I am a very busy person, as I'm sure many can relate, and it is so helpful to me that Barrett automatically schedules appointments to come out routinely. (And always easy to reschedule if necessary.) I also like the flexibility of being able to call them for extra appointments as often as I need to at not additional cost, though I haven't needed to since hiring them. We are on the yearly plan and although it's a bit on the pricey side, it's been worth it for us. I recommend them! read more

I had high hopes for this company based on their reviews and initial contact, but unfortunately, our experience was a disaster. Despite paying a significant amount for peace of mind, they not only failed to provide the complete service as promised but provided poor customer service throughout. I had to reschedule multiple times when the technicians didn't show, and even the manager admitted the situation shouldn't have happened, but then refused to take responsibility. The final technician was rude and aggressive, outright refusing to do any work. My advice: save your time and money--find another company that values its customers. read more

Absolutely terrible experience. Do NOT use this company. They completely botched a raccoon trapping job and ended up causing over $1,400 worth of damage to our HVAC system by placing the cage incorrectly. On top of that, they tracked fecal matter and debris throughout my home numerous times. I had Orkin come in for a second opinion, and even their technician commented on how unsafe and careless the work was and not up to state code. I'm now stuck with a massive repair bill and the headache of fixing what they ruined. Unprofessional, unsafe, and negligent. Save yourself the trouble and hire literally anyone else. read more

Berrett Pest Control is the best pest control company you can find! Their rates are very competitive and they treat as often as you need between quarterly's without any question and for free! Bobby is a real gem of a human. He took the time to listen to my concerns & offered invaluable advice for managing garden pests without harmful pesticides, and even shared some of his insider knowledge about how to spot things before they become a bigger problem. We had to cancel our service due to other reasons, but if I ever have an issue again, I'll be calling these guys again. The only hangup I have is I hate subscription services and prefer to pay service fees at the time of service. I'm not sure if that is an option, but I will likely ask for that the next time we call. read more

Gary was our exterminator and did a wonderful job!He was very knowledgeable, friendly, kind and thorough. He was also very thoughtful of our fur babies and their well being. Berrett Pest Control is awesome! I love that it is a family owned business, and all the technicians that have come out to my property have been so kind and professional. I chose Berrett because they have a green option which is safe for my kids and pets, but I also like that they have a regular option for when you need to bring out the "big guns" against really persistent pests. Our realtor recommended Berrett and after having an extremely terrible experience with another pest control company I was more than willing to give them a try. The techs they send out our courteous, friendly and professional. We had them come out for a touch up service once (lots of rain in our area equated to extra ants and other pests) I called, let them know what was going on and they came out next day, free of charge as part of the contract.
