A Terrible Experience - Highly Disrecommended I wish I could give zero stars for this service. My experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare, especially if you have multiple units and expect reliable service. Here's a breakdown of why I do not recommend them: False Advertising and Misleading Contracts When signing up, I was assured that all of our units would be covered under the membership plan. We were told that the service would be comprehensive and ongoing for several months. However, after half a year , I was told that the services were no longer covered, and we would need to pay additional fees beyond what was agreed upon in the contract. The terms I signed up for were blatantly ignored, and when I raised concerns, I was told the notes about our units were not properly recorded. Despite having a contract clearly stating all units would be covered, they claimed we needed to revise it after six months - an issue they failed to catch initially. Unprofessional and Dismissive Customer Service I attempted to resolve this situation with the sales representative, Treyvon Price, who was unhelpful and dismissive. When I pointed out the discrepancies in our agreement, his response was essentially to shrug it off and suggest we "just cancel the contract." His attitude became increasingly condescending, and he told me he wasn't willing to argue about it. Instead of addressing the issue, he simply wanted to end the conversation by offering cancellation, which was not an acceptable resolution. Ineffective and Subpar Extermination The extermination services were a complete failure. We had a significant infestation of roaches, and after the treatment, the problem worsened. It felt like they applied a weak solution that did little more than attract the pests. The quality of the service was far from what was promised, and the roaches returned stronger than before, which made the whole situation even worse. Conclusion: A Scam with Poor Service In short, this company is a scam. They do not honor their contracts, provide subpar services, and have terrible customer service. They are quick to sell you on various plans but do not deliver on their promises. I strongly advise against signing up for any of their memberships or services. I am a new Barrett customer and I found them on Angie's List. Our biggest problem is rats more so than bugs. We did have a mud dobber problem as well but rats is the reason we contacted Barrett. Made our appointment and Michael called us the day prior to confirm the appointment. He called the day of and said he could come a little earlier if that worked for us. He showed up and was VERY pleasant to speak with. I have been in some form of customer service for over 30 years and I am a stickler for customer service. I really liked Michael's approach to listen to my concerns and take it all in so he can address our issues. Since we have pets he was kind enough to start in the parts of the house we preferred so we could rotate out pets around easily. He put sticky traps up stairs and checked areas he could see where we have entry areas the best he could. He identified a couple of them. He completed the attic portion and came down and sprayed around the house then headed outside where he scrubbed our eaves/sides of house with a powder substance to get rid of all of the mud dobber's. He agree we had ALOT of them and he knocked down their nests that were all over our exterior home. Overall our experience was good. I hope he will be our technician on follow up visits. I have no problem giving a 5 star rating but I also have no problem editing it if service falters in the future. So far so good. Price was fair. A little over $30 for first visit and $127 quarterly. I will see how that goes. They claim if I have a problem after a treatment and in between quarterly visits, I can just call them. IF they maintain what they say they will do, we should have a great relationship. read more

During our initial consultation, your technician clearly outlined a treatment plan that included an initial spray application, to be followed by a critical second application approximately two weeks thereafter to ensure complete elimination. I promptly processed the payment for these services, and the first treatment was duly carried out. However, after the stipulated two-week period for the follow-up service had passed, I found it necessary to proactively contact your office to inquire about scheduling the crucial second treatment. To my dismay, I was informed that a specific timeframe for the technician's arrival could not be provided. This lack of scheduling clarity for a promised and paid-for service is highly unsatisfactory and undermines the reliability I expected from your company. The continued presence of these pests is a considerable concern, and the incomplete service directly impacts the effectiveness of the overall treatment plan. I urge you to address this matter promptly and ensure the second treatment is scheduled and completed without further delay, with clear communication regarding the appointment details. Daryl was simply awesome!!! Out of the 5 starts possible, we would give him 10 stars if we could. We contracted with Berrett's to rid the attic of racoons and other pests. There were 3 visits as part of the service. Daryl, was the technician that serviced the request. my My beloved Ken, accompanied Daryl to the attic as he explained the problem and solution in detail. Daryl laid down the solution in the attic and fixed the issue on roof (there was a big hole) where the critters entered. After the solution on the roof, roofers came and fixed the other problems with the roof as well as seal and lay shingles on the roof to ensure that Daryl's solution continues wasn't in vain. He came today to ensure that the critters were gone, which they are. Daryl should be the poster child (man) for Berrett's. Berrett's should be very proud that you have someone of his caliber representing the company. He is professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable on his craft. He provided a pleasant solution to an unpleasant problem. Please give him a raise so that some other pest company doesn't scoop him up! He deserves it. I'd better read review before contract with Berrett Pest Control. If you are new or have not had a contract, you may get the best costomer service here. After that, customer service won't listen to you. I have an appointment from 1PM-3PM. I called before noon to re-confirmed what time Technician was able to arrive at 12PM. I got an answer that 1PM. 1PM I received a call from Technician that he was at 2 blocks from my house and gave him 5 minutes. I was waiting until 2:10PM but no-one show up. Calling to check with customer service, customer service said that they have 2 hours windows, and did not know where Technician was until I requested to find Technician. Customer service kept saying they have 2 hours windows. Manager gave me a call a let me know that Technician would come before 3PM. It's so ridiculous waste my life 2 hours and don't know how their product since I see many reviews that the product seems ineffective and come out over 6 times within 3 months for continue pest problems. read more

Our Service Technician, Logan, was OUTSTANDING! I sincerely appreciate his customer focus and attention to detail. I was out, helping a neighbor, when he arrived. I called Berrett Customer Service, who in turn got in contact with Logan. He agreed to wait about 10 min for me to get back to the house. When I arrived, he was very professional. He helped me better understand how the bait boxes worked, he sprayed the interior perimeter of the home, and he baited and reset the traps in the attic. I appreciated his attentativeness and listening skills. Overall, this was among the best experiences I've had with Berrett Pest Control. I hope that Logan will continue to be our technician as long as he is in the role. Thank you, Logan! And, thank you to the Customer Service Representative that I spoke with to about requesting 10 additional minutes to get to the house. I have been a customer of Barrett for years. My tech is the best. He is professional, polite and represents this company with integrity. The office staff are also the best. I call and my account is accessed immediately. I was informed that my quarterly was due in November 2024 and the concern about the ants could be addressed in the same appointment. I got my appointment in one day. (I know hard to believe). However, this is the type service I am used to from Barrett. I was with another company that paid their budget on advertisements and not their employee's or service rendered. Their name is well known. However, their service does not match their advertisements. Two weeks ago I came home to a flooded garage and water pouring out of my front spicket. The technician used my hose (expandable pocket hose) to fill the mosquito bucket and never shut it off. Shortly after he left, the hose popped, and water ran continuously for 3 hours. I called the office and said I came home to a flooded garage and was told a manager would call me back. No one did. I called the next day and said no one called me and if they want me to send the video I would be happy to. I got a call back with an apology and not much else. No discount or free service on a $175 service call. I said I wanted my hose replaced, which he said he would send me a check for $25, which I've never received. NOT HAPPY!!!! read more

My experience with the customer service personnel was quick, simple and everyone took care of my issues. I was scheduled for my initial home service and the technician, Reginald (Reggie) Chatman came and set everything up, after inspecting various areas, for the unwanted pests who had taken up residency. The very next day the residents were slowly leaving - they were caught. Whatever this company is doing they have superseded my expectations. Mr Chatman, was also professional and polite. Knew immediately what I needed and started to reassure me the situation will be remedied and it is. I was a loyal customer for years and even had many referrals. I was charged for a service that was not completed and was completely dishonest. I was home at the time the technician claimed to have performed service on my residence. I received an email and contacted Berrett immediately telling them I never received service and I was home all day (in addition it was raining and my gate was locked so there was no way to gain access to my residence). I was told they would remove the charges and I cancelled my service. Now I am being charged for not just 1 but 2 services! I have contacted management several times with no response! Matt came in and let me explain where I was still having trouble and concerns. We discussed his recommendations and agreed. He showed me every time he found the problem sites. He removed mice from the traps in the attic and placed new bait and traps. Once he left a RAT was caught on the trap in the garage. I called him on his cell and he was back within a few minutes and removed it. He knows my phobia of rats and was very prompt. He even recommended bait boxes to help keep more mice/rats from getting into our garage/house. We are highly satisfied so far and look forward to the progress of ridden our house of these critters! read more

I have been using Berretts for a couple of years now. In the beginning I usually got one tech but he was promoted and I wasn't aware and another tech came out that I wasn't comfortable with. I addressed my concern with them. They were able to correct this quickly. Yes, you need to make sure that you keep up with all notifications that's sent, but if they do your outside of the home and you want them to do inside you just need to ask. In my experience they are very accommodating. Their services has been great and I do not have any issues with pests. I will definitely recommend. read more
