Small quaint restaurant that touts great pies, but is so much more. Small restaurant with not a lot of seating, but if it is crowded when you arrive it is worth the wait. The soup and sandwich menu is not to be missed. A wide variety of sandwiches and burgers to satisfy any taste bud. I had the Southwest Melt. It is hearty and big enough to split if you don't want a giant meal. The navy bean soup is the best ever - more than just beans and ham hocks. Had a small bowl with sandwich for lunch and liked it so well, we ordered two regular sized bowls to go and had them for supper. The ample portions of cornbread and honey sweetened butter round out the soup perfectly. Any meal must be finished off with a piece of pie. The rhubarb pie is the perfect combination of sweet and tart and not ruined with strawberries. The only drawback to this restaurant is they close at 4:00. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to Prescott. read more

Let me just start by saying that we have eaten here before on several occasions. We had the soup of the day, as we were hungry for good split pea soup and their honey cornbread. The place was packed at 11 am and they told us it would be a wait since they were changing over from the breakfast to lunch menu. We managed to snag a table and thought it would be ok to wait. Thirty minutes later we got our food (I don't know why but I timed it). The soup was very watery and had very little flavor, the cornbread was a smaller than usual portion. We mentioned this to our waitress who didn't compensate us or even offer a "sorry". I will say the pie we had was good tho. We have eaten these same items before and really enjoyed them. Not this time.... be forewarned. Won't be returning....very disappointed. read more

This place has the best sandwiches, hands down! I grew up in Scottsdale but moved to California where I met my boyfriend, who grew up in Tucson! He's obsessed with Berry's pie! He finally got a chance to take me to try it while on our trip to Arizona with his family! I got the Southwestern Melt with turkey and it was delicious! It had the perfect kick from the roasted peppers! My boyfriend got a pastrami sandwich and it was also really delicious! One of the best pastrami that I've tried b/c it was so buttery and it was as salty as other pastrami! Their sandwiches are so simple yet they taste so amazing! We also got a slice of delicious banana pie to share as a family b/c we were so stuffed from the food. The food may not seem like a lot but it will sure fill you up! read more

The four of us arrived at Berry's on a Thursday at about 11:30. Even though they were busy, the service was great -- food was great! We had a BLT, a chicken salad, a pastrami melt and pie! Cherry, lemon meringue, chocolate, & coconut cream. The crust on the pie is flakey and wonderful! We had no complaints. We will be back! read more

I have eaten breakfast all over Prescott and Prescott Valley. This is the best so far. If you want fast - go to Denny's. It is crowded with tables and chairs and one table blocks the back door. Waitresses are friendly - service is super slow. Hash browns are a golden crispy patty - my English muffin was too toasty crisp. Best salsa in town! There is limited parking and the place gets crowded. But it is a good place to go after shopping at the Sat a.m. Farmer's Market because it is right down the street. read more

My wife and I made our first of many trips to Prescott today. We got in to town just in time for a late lunch. We passed many chain restaurants, but wanted to try a local place. We enjoy smaller mom and pop type places and Berry's Pie Pantry DID NOT DISSAPOINT.!!! The staff was so friendly. Since we had never been there, we asked what they recommended. I had the meatloaf sandwich and the wife had the T.A.B.S on a croissant with the potato cheese soup. I'd like to pause and say that the soup was out of this world. I am happy to give everything a 5 star review right down to the fresh brewed ice tea. By the way, we took home a Dutch Apple pie and destroyed most of it before bed. :) read more

I always stop here on my way to Girl Scout Camp. We found them on accident, and decided to stop in. Waitress is always very friendly, food is fantastic. I'm not a burger person, but I love them here. I always stop by when I'm in town, even if all I'm getting is a slice of pie. If I could change anything, it would be that they were open on Sunday as well. read more

This is not just pie, people! Lunch is also great--start with the Southwestern Melt or a Green Chili Cheeseburger. Great food,. Salads are iceberg lettuce, so don't expect much in the greens department. But otherwise the good is tasty and good. Of course, the pie rocks. If you are too full, you can get it "to go" and enjoy it later. Or have it there ala mode. The German Chocolate and Sour Cream Apple are superb. The place is small, so expect to wait during busy times. Or just grab a whole pie to go. read more

Greasiest breakfast I have ever been served. Turned the "flat and crispy" hash browns away as it was honestly a plate of grease with some potatoes. Asked for a second plate for my omelet to separate it from the grease on the plate but unfortunately it wasn't any better once I opened it. The food is good, but the pies are epic! Cherry is my favorite - I am very choosy about cherry pie, and this one meets all my requirements: juicy filling and tart / sweet cherries. The others are also wonderful. They do a great meringue, and the chocolate pie is really a winner. Priced reasonably and it has that "homemade" feeling, not a junk food atmosphere.Every thing is scratch and yummy. I am allergic to MSG and I don't have to worry about it there. It is a pleasure to enjoy my food and not worry that I will be ill later. I had the flannel cakes with eggs and bacon for breakfast. It was the first time I had ever tried flannel cakes and thought they were pretty tasty. The bacon was hearty and crisp and the eggs were soft and sufficient. I had their coffee and it was decent, not the best but good overall. read more

We have eaten at Berry's several times, so this is a 'overall impression' post. It is a TINY place. Seating can be slow (see above combined with some who seem to like to eat and then chat after their food & dessert are finished). Wait staff service can be slow. I have not found it to be super friendly like some have suggested. But not unfriendly either. Food service from the kitchen is SLOW. ALWAYS. FOOD is very good; in fact, some of the best in Prescott. The flannel cakes are great! We are not talking thick pancakes here. If that is what you are looking for; move on. Biscuits and gravy - the best we have found in Prescott. (We are actively on the hunt for THE BEST in Prescott.) Now, comparing their B&G's to some of the B&G's we have had across the south, they would clearly be in the average category. But for the southwest, they are very good and for Prescott, excellent. Sandwiches are very well done, green salad is what your momma would have fixed back in the 70's. In fact, most everything on the menu is similar to what your non-gourmet momma would have fixed for a good lunch back in the 60-early 90's: non-pretentious, not concerned about moderation of fats and sugars, and good portion sizes. Overall, the pie is the best I have eaten, leaving family members and wanna-be gourmet friends out of the mix. (Prescott is not a Foodie town. Overall, I give the town a below average rating on the over-all quality of the restaurants. Sad but true.) Have plenty of time, don't have a party of more than 4 (patient) people, expect good regular food and you should not be disappointed. read more

Delicious! We had the breakfast this morning and was absolutely delicious. We had the chicken fried steak and a green chili omelet. The omelet was fantastic with crunchy cheese on top and the chicken fried steak was delicious too. Also, their chocolate pie, delicious! Was fresh baked and hot to order. Great, friendly owners too. Just had lunch at Berry's for the first time & it was fantastic!! The food was yummy & the service was friendly & attentive!! Don't forget to save room for their pie! We shared a slice of pumpkin pie & the server was kind enough to slice it in half so we each could have our own piece of pie, with whipped cream & nutmeg sprinkled on top no less!!
