This place is appropriately named. Outside of NYC these are the best bagels around. They're always fresh and the people that work there are incredibly friendly. Everything bagel had nothing on it. It looked like a plain bagel that had brushed against an everything bagel. Bagels are undersized. Got chicken salad on everything bagel, was not impressed. Bagel World in Danvers/Peabody and Abraham's in Newburyport are better. We will be back for a second try, hopefully there is a better ratio of the "everything" seasoning that makes everything bagels so wonderful! read more

Good bagels. Rude employee. No "hello". No "can I help you?". No "what can I get for ya?" Just a look of disdain. For me? For life? For the job itself? Who knows... I ordered a smoked turkey on a plain bagel with just meat and cheese, to go. Pretty simple. She asked if I wanted it toasted. I said yes and assumed that the whole sandwich would be toasted. Nope. She toasted the bagel, then slapped cold meat and cold cheese on it. I asked if she could toast the sandwich so the cheese would be melted. The only response was another look bordering on an eye roll. Then she put the cheese on a separate plate in the microwave, and then put the semi melted cheese back on the sandwich and wrapped it up. So a toasted bagel, cold meat and microwaved cheese. Is it weird to just want a toasted melty sandwich? I always tip well, even on a to-go order. I just couldn't this time though. I took my sandwich, said "thanks, have a good one!" and left. And somehow I still feel guilty for not tipping. It must be years of experience in the service industry. For a restaurant with 4.5 stars, I expected more. read more

I'm thrilled I stopped in a few weeks ago. They live up to their name. I have not found any bagels in the area that remotely compare to these. Fresh fresh, soft inside, slight crunch outside. So many flavors and so many cream cheeses to pick from (lox spread, scallion cc and veg cc all fabulous). The Wild Salmon bagel was my first delicious sandwich. Lemon dill cream cheese was a nice touch. I'm eating my way through the menus. Asiago, veggie spinach bagels were also delicious. Staff are friendly and fast. I don't see me doing business with anyone else after eating here! read more

This is my favorite place to get bagels every since they opened. They are fresh daily boiled bagels just like you get in NYC. They are huge too! Only 1.05 per bagel! They have lots of flavors ranging from cheddar jalapeño to the classic onion. The prices can't be beat. Even by dunks! 4 and change for a large bagel with delicious flavored cream cheese and a medium iced chai tea (they make the best). The breakfast sandwiches are also delicious and they don't use the cheap sliced American cheese or the cheap bagels. You really get more than what you are paying for. I go here at least 3 times a week now if not more because the prices and flavor just can't be beat. read more

I usually go to Best Bagel's other location but we were traveling this way and I remembered they have a location in Georgetown and we had to stop. Plenty of parking even on a Saturday morning. No drive-thru like the other location but the line moved fast. Very nice service and a great bagel selection. The bagels are huge which I love. I got an Asiago with veggie cream cheese (only complaint there is it was far too onion-y for me) and also a plain Asiago which we dunked in our soup later and was very nice and filling. I also went with the Hawaiian chocolate coffee. Tasty and they did the cream perfectly. Affordable too and good quality. Worth checking out if you're craving a bagel as the selection is huge! read more

I have been here many times, the bagels are good enough however the service is terrible. They are always very rude. Today I went in around 9:50 and there was a long line. I waited and ordered my bagels, and the lady who took my order had her back to me the whole time. I get it's busy but she didn't even turn around once. Then she asked if there was anything else, and I started to say my coffee order and she raised her voice for the whole store to hear "NO I ONLY DO FOOD YOU TELL THE OTHER LADY" I was so humiliated, I had to walk out of the store. Luckily I was with a friend so they waited for the bagels and ordered the coffees. When she came back to the car she said the same lady was rude to the people behind us too about ordering coffees. Safe to say I will not be returning due to the lack of good service. read more

This place is a hidden gem of a breakfast or brunch eatery. The bagels are top notch and obviously homemade. The smoothies are fresh and taste spot on to the real fruit flavor, plus they are refreshing and delicious. Clearly the people giving this 5 stars have never had a real bagel. I get it. In Georgetown you very few options. You either have Dunkin or this. Yes, it's better than Dunks but it's mediocre at best. If you get a bagel toasted, it will come out with no color (almost untoasted) so make sure you ask for extra toasted. The bagels themselves are like the wonderbread of bagels - large, airy and not very chewy like a real bagel should be. The cream cheese was good. The egg sandwich my husband got was also mediocre. Kind of dry and overly salty. And very little i. The way if coffee choices. Not worth a trip unless you have no other options (which, if you live in Georgetown, is probably the case). read more

I live a few houses up from Best Bagel in Georgetown. I work from home and (like many in the neighborhood) would probably go to this place every day if it weren't for the two women working the counter (10/10/19 11:00 am for ownership reference). They behave like they are competing in some sort of teenage snark-off. They were so rude I thought I might be the victim of a hidden camera prank. Sadly I wasn't (I love Impractical Jokers). When I returned home I told my wife about the ordeal and she told me she knew exactly who I was talking about, and had similar experiences with them. I know that ownership has seen the negative feedback regarding these two..here and on social media. Yet they continue to work there... so I can only assume they are family. If they are, I'll say they reflect very poorly on the family. If they aren't, I'd ask why are they still employed here? Is help that hard to find? Why would you keep employees that treat your customers (your livelihood) with contempt? At least tell them to save the snide remarks and eye-rolls for their (probably miserable) parents. read more

My wife and are long time patrons of the competitive Bagel World and have been depressed as to the lack of viable bagel options in and around the Boxford area (we just moved here). We were delighted to find Best Bagel on Yelp and thought we would give them a try. The store was very clean, the service was prompt and professional, and the bagels were great. They are not as sweet as those from Bagel World (who we still view as #1) but they are a strong local contender. They only just opened a couple of months ago so they may need to work out some of the suggestions from the other reviews but c'mon, they are a local business with a nice offering.
