I don't like sauce/mustard/mayo, and I know that there are some burgers that rely on this, or are special because of it. However, I'd like to think this means I am truly tasting the meat more than you might be And this burger is all about that char. Good quality meat, cooked correctly, and boy, can you taste that char. Fantastic. Side note: the burger onions here are red onions, which confirms these people know what they're doing And speaking of onions, the onion rings were also really good. Great crunch, and decent onion flavor, especially the larger ones. They needed some salt - in fact the burger could have also used just a teeny bit of salt - but they have shakers available at the counter. Reasonable Marin county prices. Wife and I went for a late lunch, Service was good and the inside sit down area was clean. We tried the Mushroom Swiss Burger, Double Burger, Chili Cheese Fries, and Hotdog. Burgers were really good, Hotdog and Chili Cheese fries I would pass on next time as they were average at best. read more

I thought the food was really good and the owners were especially hospitable. The location is clean and tidy. We were on a pretty tight schedule and asked them to have an order ready at a specific time. When we walked in, the food was just being put on the trays, allowing us to keep our timing on point. I got a 5 alarm burger. We got a kids burger and a fish and chips. For sides, garlic fries, regular fries and onion rings. All were really good. They used marinated garlic (rather than some dried powder) on the garlic fries. The fish and chips tasted like they should have. Next time, I think I'd order the curly fries instead of either regular or garlic fries (the only difference was the garlic). read more

Haven't been here in quite a while. I was disappointed to see that they've gone the fast food mode of replacing counter staff with self serve order screens. Really felt Taco Bell or McDonaldish ... not that I eat at those places any longer. Also, they had a deal that sounded really great - price wise anyway - $11.95 foe a burger, fries, and a drink. I made the mistake of succumbing to a cheap lunch. The burger was a super thin, dry, and pretty tasteless patty overwhelmed taste wise by a thick layer of quite unremarkable tasting cheese. This was not an original food stop. We were passing by and hangry and so glad we picked this place. The food was yummy, nice and freshly cooked. The place was decent size but served its purpose to sit and eat and go. The service was good, you basically order at the counter and they call you up to grab your food when ready. I don't think this place deserves any pictures. Ordered a plain hamburger, fries and drink, comes to around $20. Place was nearly empty except another customer stepped in while I was finishing up. I would prefer a&w, Phyllis burger, and in&out compared to this burger joint. Much more affordable than this one. The customer service is as ghetto as I have seen compared to well known ones. If I were you, avoid this place at all cost unless you want to pay big bucks for a fast food quality. The quality of the burger was like home made burger, not quality. Not really the best burger place :/ nor the best service. Got the avocado burger and it was ok but just tasted like any old regular burger nothing special. Their burgers are small and pricey. I also got garlic fries and was more satisfied with them but it was just fries and a little bit of garlic thrown in it. Wow. It was my 1st time in, I came in for a Togo order as my late lunch. I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich and chili cheese fries. Let me say it's hard to find good chili cheese fries and a crispy chicken sandwich. The sandwhich comes as chicken tenders type for the meat but that didn't bother me as long as it was good, and was it ever! The chili cheese fries begin with great crunchy fries that are not soft or soggy, and some really good chili. IMO, I would rate my chicken sandwich as a 9/10 and the chili cheese fries a very very high 8, maybe even a 9/10. You won't be disappointed. Finally found a burger joint that can cook up a tasty burger! Should I dare say it's the best burger in town? I think so. I bit pricy for one cheeseburger burger, an order of fries and a small drink (almost $20). Back home where I'm from you can enjoy a similar quality meal at a more affordable price. With that said, it was worth it. Burger was made with fresh ingredients, French fries were golden crispy and my coke was ice cold and bubbly just how I like it. After "loosing" Barneys Gourmet Burgers here in San Rafael we have been looking for a new place. Best Burger is a Burger Place that is okay. The Burgers are good, not as creative as Barneys, not a 100% same quality as Barneys or In-&-out Burger. But don't get me wrong they serve way better burger then the chains with a crown or an arch at the front. The place is missing atmosphere but it will get your craving for a burger fixed!
