Freshly opened bag of Sumatran dark roast!

When Weaver's Coffee & Tea still had their SF coffee shop in the Castro District at 16th & Market, I was a regular customer for everything from a cup of drip, to an Americano, to a pound of beans. It was a sad day when they closed. But I can still count on stopping at their San Rafael mothership for a quality cup of coffee en route to Mendocino & points north. In between road trips, I've been able to also keep my Weaver's habit satisfied through their online coffee beans mail order service I'm an enormous fan of their dark roasting and single origin collections of beans from around the world. In particular, they source coffee beans from my favorite regions of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. Those volcanic island soils and high elevations work some magic into the beans. And the expert roasting at Weaver's brings out the terroir of those islands into every cup. I just received a fresh bag of Sumatran dark roast and before even brewing my pour over, I feasted on the aromas coming from the package. Think dark chocolate, vanilla, damp soil, and leather. The brew was rich with high citrus notes, deep earthiness, and a bitter chocolate backdrop. A fantastic start for a morning. I drink my coffee black, but imagine that some cream and sugar would round some of the acidity out for those who like a smoother entry point for their day. And as usual, Weaver's always sends a little surprise with my order. This time, a lovely card and a sample of pomegranate green tea and some Peruvian coffee. Thanks, Weaver's! This is why I'm a loyal fan & customer!

So I finally got to try the coffee. I went back today and the place was open and full of customers. I was excited. But I have to say that this place is just not for me to start off. They have two different sizes for a cappuccino, which is never a great sign. Second, the flavor of the coffee is not good - taste burnt and bitter. Finally the price of the coffee is way off the mark. I can't imagine the lease being a big part of the expense at this location yet they charge $6 for a small cappuccino and $1 extra for extremely poor quality oat milk if you want oat milk. A clear sign at the owner is just looking for a big profit as opposed to quality in my opinion. Kind of a cafeteria looking setting as well. It's a pass for me folks.

I'd give this place 4.5. Was looking for a latte and found this place on yelp. Parking lot is a little small but easy parking! This place is quite a little gem. I totally would come back here. What was supposed to be a quick trip took a bit longer as I was lucky to get a little mini tour of the back. It's super cool that they roast their beans in the back. Super legit! Weaver is super knowledgeable and nice as well we were chatting it up. I didn't see much seating so this is more of an order and go kind of place. It has a good selection of items to pick up before your next destination or to get a drink. My husband said his cold brew was pretty good and I ended up getting a flat white. I thought it was either a little strong or slightly bitter but will come back to try a latte next time since that's my more of go-to drink (and easier to judge). Love that I can get dragon well tea here if I need some. Oh yeah, when I was heading out, met this lady that parked next to us that said she literally comes from SF to this place to get their 5 lbs coffee. That really impressed me. I was O_O because if I lived in SF, I'd get my coffee there due to all the choices there.

One of my favorite coffee shops in Marin. The coffee is fantastic, the staff are so nice and helpful and the vibe is warm and friendly. They have a few pastry options as well as items in the refrigerator. There is a seating area inside, but if you go out back there is a fun area to enjoy your coffee, work, read, etc. I look forward to my visits to Weaver's.

Staying at the Surestay Best Western I noticed Weaver's Coffee right across the street; however, although only mid afternoon there was no activity there - could it be out of business? But no - a quick check showed its hours were 6 AM to 2 PM. The next morning we were amazed to see the sleepy store front had woken up and was a constant buzz of activity! Cars and trucks were constantly rolling in for the morning coffee, so we had to check this out. I'm delighted to report that - although first time customers - we received a level of personalized attention we had never experienced in any coffee establishment. Renee greeted us when we arrived and gave us a quick history of Weavers; then she took us into the back room for a tour of their Roastery. We saw their beautiful, legacy roaster in action and got to take in the intoxicating aroma of three different types of beans that had been newly roasted. We also learned that, sadly, their San Francisco store had been destroyed when an out of control driver had crashed into it. We can report their coffee was magnificent. Both of us can highly recommend it - and we scored some coffee beans on special as well. Wonderful local coffee establishment that we look forward to returning to!

First time in on our way to the airport. The ladies working were so sweet and talkative. The parking lot has just a few spots. Lots of options on the menu.

    Free espresso with a pound.

Continuing on my search for trending happiness in a cup, we ordered the Banana Cream (cold brew topped with banana cold foam). Banana is having a moment, and we're here for it! It's so refreshing and delicious. I love banana, so this was right up my alley! Looks like other banana flavored drinks offered are the Banana Matcha Cloud and the Iced Caramelized Banana Latte. Def recommend if banana is in your top five rotation of the summer too. We also grabbed a pack of their seasonal beans for home, the Super Bloom blend ~ a light roast for the spring season! To note, there is a super cool kickback of proceeds of this blend. Find more about it in-store or on their website. Overall, this would be my go-to spot if I was in the area more. Friendly and quick service, and a fun menu also filled with tasty treats for brekky, snack, lunch, the in-between, to-go, and more.

Attended a book signing here ( for the incredible author Lisa See)…read more This event was run with experienced precision. I signed up on line 3 months ago, received confirmation, updates, reminders and final instructions, and walked into a smooth and organized check in process. With books in hand, we went to the other side of the store where there were several beautifully set white linen covered tables with gorgeous centerpieces (wish I took more photos of them): 2 books with a tea cup and small flower arrangement consisting of a hydrangea and gerbera daisy and a fan- perfectly appropriate. The napkins were pretty too! I appreciate these things!! Then back to the front to meet Lisa, take a photo if desired and get your book signed. All of this for approximately an hour while those who had their books signed, got to meet and converse with the other others at our tables. Lunch and drinks ( including champagne, iced tea and lemonade) was served buffet style outside, and the food was EXCELLENT ( please know that my husband and I returned from an Alaskan Disney Cruise just four days ago, so for us to be amazed by the food says something about the food!!) There were rollers packed with incredible curried chicken ( OMG, sooo good), salmon and lots of it), turkey, and ham and cheese. The Chinese chicken salad was fantastic, and the fruit salad looked as amazing as it tasted, fresh and high-quality fruit.so pretty!!! A whole bunch of employees continually refilled our water carafes throughout the event as well. Everyone was attentive and very friendly. Yummy cookies were also served for dessert and coffee and tea were offered as well. However, the true highlight was Lisa speaking about her research process, her personal history, and the characters of the book itself. I believe she spoke for about 45 minutes and then took several questions from the attendees. She then went on to sign books for those who did not have them signed, and I got to interact with several staff members. Special mention to Allison who made the beautiful centerpieces, introduced Lisa and Thomas who made the fruit salad and appeared instrumental in the food aspect of the event. Finally, I have never been to this bookstore and know nothing of its history, but they have an amazing selection of books, very well displayed, and divided into two different stores in the same location. We left with about seven more books, but could have easily purchased more. I cannot recommend this independent bookstore enough, and would definitely attend more of these events here if I didn't live in an other state! Thank you all again for an incredible event.

Now, I don't know what's going on with Peet's Coffee in Nevada, but let's just say the vibe shift is... dramatic. Like "day and night" dramatic. Maybe that's why some Nevada locations are disappearing--because the in‑store experience just isn't hitting the way it should. But let's get back to the star of the show. Peet's Coffee at 77 Casa Buena Dr, Corte Madera is everything a coffee stop should be. Positive energy, great vibes, and consistently amazing drinks. This spot is my go‑to every time I'm in Marin, and honestly, it might be one of the best hangout spots in the entire county. The staff? Friendly every single time. The coffee? Always on point. The atmosphere? Chef's kiss. It's perfectly tucked near shopping, dining, and outdoor spots, making it ideal for people‑watching or just soaking in the Marin charm. The outdoor seating is a total win--grab a book, catch up with friends, or just lean back and admire Mt. Tamalpais doing its majestic thing. And if the universe is feeling generous, you might even spot quarterback Jared Goff grabbing his caffeine fix. Bonus perk: the Corte Madera Library is right across the street. So if you're in the mood to read a newspaper, research something old‑school style, or just wander through a quiet space, it's literally steps away. Bottom line: awesome coffee, great pastries, and consistently good service. This location gets it right every time. If all Peet's were like this one, they'd be opening stores--not closing them.
