This is not a coffee shop. Don't come here if you want a cup of coffee. I believe it's their warehouse for their actual coffee shops.

I opted for the vibrant red rose. It tasted exactly like a flavorless sponge drenched in l milk. Not even a hint of rose. Incredible, the white icing was equally flavorless, although it looked beautiful, with a sprinkling of dried rose petals. The overall effect was like eating a piece of cake that had fallen in a puddle of milk - with dried leaves in the icing. I had three bites and then told them guy behind the counter that it had no flavor and all he could offer was "I'm sorry". For $8 and no offer to make it right, it was a really bad experience and I would never go there again.

Water and coffee quickly followed and I perused the menu. Diverse options and interesting creations. Recommended by my server, I went with the celery root potato pancakes. My boyfriend's eggs were runny despite having asked for them to be scrambled hard. My niece didn't like her pancakes, and the group generally felt the food was bland. The service was also spotty. After remaking my boyfriend's eggs they forgot his toast. Then when the toast came they forgot the jam. The waitress didn't ask about drink refills, though she did refill my coffee. The ambiance was fine, but not the special holiday brunch spot we had imagined. Next time we'll find a different Larkspur restaurant.

The place is clean, with plenty of seating both inside and outside, and there is a large selection of pastries, scones, breads, and grab-and-go items. My go-to has been the ham and cheese croissant, which was fresh both mornings. The coffee was also nice and hot, which I always appreciate. The staff is professional and efficient, though clearly busy, so do not expect a lot of chit-chat. I also picked up a box of Cheese Coins, which turned out to be dangerous because I loved them and ate the whole box. Good coffee, fresh pastries, easy seating, and enough tempting extras to make you buy more than you planned. I will probably stop by again tomorrow morning before leaving the area.

It could have used a lot more filling. I did appreciate the salsa on the side that it came with, which was tomato-y, garlicky, and overall very flavorful. It took around half an hour for me and 4 of my friends to get our orders, which was frustrating because we were on the go. Definitely a very busy spot! The place is a grab-and-go establishment where you order at the cashier and grab your food once ready (or they'll bring it out to you if dining in). I loved the outdoor seating on a sunny day but all the tables were unfortunately taken when we were there. The inside also has a couple of seats and refreshing cucumber water was offered.

I read a post on my local Nextdoor app where somebody said we should support this business because…read morethey are in danger of closing. There were mixed comments, some saying the place is good, and others saying it's not worth it and the owner is rude. I wanted to help, so I went to go check it out and see what I could buy. The owner was very rude and very short with me. In reading other reviews on YELP (in addition to Nextdoor), I see that sometimes she's very friendly, and to some other people she just randomly decides to be absolutely cold and unwelcoming. Despite my being cheerful and friendly upon entering her shop, I fell into the category of the latter. Hmmm, I wonder why? I should've left, but as I decided, I wanted to try the pastries and see if the place was worth it at all or not. I ordered a chai and a muffin, both were overpriced, and definitely not worth it. The muffin tasted like a lot of the less expensive ingredients, and very little of the good ingredients. The chai was bland. I definitely have compassion regarding the situation, I'm sure the owner is under a lot of stress. But, this could be a person's time to show their true colors and she shows that she's very selective and who she is kind too and who she is not. My compassion ends here. I will not return, nor would I recommend this place.

Came for a small group lunch, as we often do, and we enjoyed the meal, as we always do!…read more We sat on the patio, and although we waited a bit for a straggler (the usual suspect!), we were quickly offered a drink order and gladly enjoyed big glasses of iced tea and fountain soda. Finally, the crew was assembled, and we ordered some favorites, plus a couple of new items. Variety is the spice of life! I was one of the holdouts against that, but I did tweak my usual order a bit in a show of solidarity. We ordered two lunch specials off the board, an egg salad sandwich with potato salad, and a bacon, cheddar cheeseburger with grilled onions and many other toppings (lettuce, tomato, and such). We also ordered a hamburger (a regular for us) and the Grilled MAC (my usual), but I switched the bread from my usual sourdough to rye while still keeping the Swiss cheese. All the burger folks had a side salad, which disappointed me as I usually collect a French fry tax from others. But not this time! Ugh - the fries here are outstanding! But so are the salads, soooo... My Grilled MAC, which I usually get on sourdough, was STACKED with grilled mushrooms! I love mushrooms, so this was heaven for me. I liked the rye as a change as well, so either that or sourdough moving forward. All the food was great, as the photos will show, and the serving size is still decent for the price. The salads are indeed good, with a nice variety of vegetables with the lettuce. Speaking of lettuce, the two burgers had a LOT of lettuce, and the burger folks took it off their burgers and added it to their salads. The egg salad sandwich, on lightly toasted bread, was indeed more of an "egg WITH salad" sandwich, having lots of lettuce and tomato, and not enough egg salad (for me), but the guy with that sandwich did not complain and said it was very tasty. Because there was also a birthday among us a few days before, we HAD to celebrate with dessert and chose the apple and mixed-berry pies. They also had blueberry, but I have had these two before and really like them. They did not have ice cream, though (), but a decent whipped cream helped. The apple pie was hot, and although a bit charred along the crust edge (even I do that at home), I just broke it off, and no loss really. The pies were very good. Overall, the food was great as always, and our server Clarita and the beverage guy (sorry, I did not catch his name) kept us in our place! Looking forward to the next lunch outing.
