I'm absolutely appalled by the unprofessional, disgusting (yes, disgusting) level of service at Best Buy Buckhead, 2537 Piedmont Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30324. From beginning to end, the entire experience was a masterclass in disregard and incompetence. I brought in my camera for what should've been a straightforward repair through Geek Squad. Instead what I got: hidden service charges that nobody bothered to communicate to me, ZERO transparency, zero accountability. Management? Non-existent. Staff? Unknowledgeable. And the tone? Intimidating -- pulling a police officer into the mix for god knows what was completely unnecessary. I wasn't being belligerent -- I was asking valid questions and got treated like I was a problem. The "Geek Squad" here couldn't geek their way out of a paper bag. They acted like they know everything, but when push came to shove, they had no answers. Refused to explain extra charges. Didn't tell me what was happening, didn't give me the courtesy of simple respect. To say I'm disappointed is a massive understatement. I want this to be one of the first things discussed at their next staff / management meeting. I want them to feel the weight of this, because they deserve to. If I were running the show for corporate, I'd be looking at shutting this location down -- the level of dysfunction is staggering. They are driving business away, not welcoming it. I will not be returning, and I will make sure others steer clear too. This is how you lose business -- with arrogance, secrecy, intimidation and lack of basic human decency. I brought in an "open box excellent" condition soundbar that was shipped to me completely botched (missing the power cord, remote, and all other accessories). Because this location only had new units in stock, I asked manager/supervisor Jonathan to discount the new unit to make up for Best Buy's massive quality-control failure. Instead of taking responsibility and making it right, the manager refused to adjust the price. Worse, he explicitly told me to pay the price difference out-of-pocket, stating that "corporate would reimburse the difference" if I called the 1-888 number. That was a flat-out lie. Corporate confirmed they have no mechanism to refund a price difference on a finalized in-store purchase. Jonathan knowingly gave me false information just to protect his store's margins and get me out of his line. Absolutely terrible leadership and dishonest customer service. If anyone at this store tells you corporate will reimburse you for an in-store upcharge, do not believe them. I would not purchase anything further from this location. read more

Has a chip on his shoulder because he checks off two DEI hire boxes... I was told by another manager that I would be able to return a car audio receiver. When I was having the new one installed, he too about 20 mins to finally decide he wasn't going to refund my purchase price of rhe first receiver. He continued to argue with me even once he made it clear he wasn't going to process the refund. He also threatened to have me removed from the store because I "raised my voice". I even asked him to please go away while I finished waiting for my install and he replied "I don't have to, this is my store." He is argumentative, unhelpful, belligerent and has no business managing people/stores. Best Buy should take a long hard look at some of these reviews. I've spent 5k in their stores over the past month and will go elsewhere now because of Darrell. Do better! read more

0 Stars if I could pick it. Customer Service is a joke. They sold me a TV that I had no intention on buying that day and promised delivery two days later. After careful consideration from their delivery team, who had never seen where I live, they decided that the TV was undeliverable to the address. So they tried to push it out to a third party mover. Since then, not once have I been able to get on the phone with anyone, Best Buy completely cancelled the order without telling me. The worker saw me walking toward the front door and pulled down the garage door in the vestibule right before I got to the door. I had purchased a screen protector with a lifetime warranty. I've had it replaced in the past, but today they start charging to install the screen protector. They said it's not part of the warranty and it's always been that way which it seems that it is enforced without any consistency. The last purchase was made on a Wednesday, delivery to my home was to be the following Tuesday for a $600 item.. Remember the days when Best Buy was an experience! Those days are gone and now it really depends which location you visit to have a pleasant experience. This store is "Ok" but come in expecting to help yourself. Staff don't really go out to educate you on products, provide service or even greet you. Keep in mind, I visit this store many times and I finally decided to write a review. I scheduled a Geek Squad appointment 1 week prior to replace a swollen battery. Initially I had done this last November but I had to order the part, delays and finally got it done today! My appointment was confirmed multiple times and I explained the purpose of the appointment multiple times. This knucklehead calls me 2 hours before to reduce his schedule of appointments and kick mine out by emphasizing liability, and basically how the battery could possible be a bomb and explode the store and it's against the company! What an IDIOT! I then asked why he is calling me 2 hours before and he had the nerve to argue back and get an attitude! I gave him feedback and explained if changing a swollen battery is that serious perhaps Best Buy should explain some rules when setting appointments or even provide staff with a word track as this is a huge inconvenience! Long Story short, I took the battery to U Break I Fix and it was done in under 15 minutes! The guy at Best Buy was a total jerk and really seemed like he wanted to kick my appointment out so totally exaggerated what I needed to get done as a High Risk job when in actuality it was quite simple. This has been the worst experience I've had with a store. I placed an order (ending in 04414), and when I checked the app, it said the order was closed--without any explanation. I tried calling the store I purchased from, but ended up speaking with someone overseas who couldn't help at all. Even customer service and Geek Squad couldn't contact the store directly. I have come to this store many times in the seven years I have lived in the city. It has consistently the worst best buy in Atlanta staffed by the laziest perks and woth managers who don't give a damn. Today is Labor Day,and I came in to check out the deals on 85" TVs. The guy "working" decided to service customers according to some criteria other than the order they came in. He went right past me to service others while I was looking right at him. Was it my race? My age? That I wasn't there as a couple? Being ignored is all too typical of this location. I sat down at the counter to wait for help. Nobody came back. The guy whose's job is to be greeter did not greet me when I entered, but I figured all the same I would ask for help. Instead, rude jerk said that if you come in the hour that the store closes you should not expect to be helped as everyone is trying to get customers to leave. I came here to buy a new protective case for my phone, and my experience was just ok. This Best Buy location is above the Target store. Parking for Best Buy is outside, and the lot is very big. However, the past few times I've come here, there have been barriers set up in the parking lot. I'm not sure what the reasons for setting them up, but they've sometimes made driving through the parking lot a challenge. I thought it was strange that there wasn't an employee at the entrance, because I've never seen that before. At all stores, there is always someone greeting customers and answering their questions, and making sure that that people aren't trying to steal. The phone case area was near the front part of the store. I was surprised that the newer phone cases were separated by the specific brand and model of phone, making it easier for customers to find cases that only fit their phones. In spite of this, because there were so many different cases for my phone, I had to look at just about every one of them. I found three that I really liked, and chose only one of them to buy. It almost seems as if Best Buy is trying to go bankrupt. Manager is a gen z slob, sales people sit around gabbing in the kitchen appliance section, ignoring customers. I needed to return a large item and asked for help. It was in my car, parked on the front row, closest to the door. A young guy had a rolling cart, but stopped and refused to push it the 12 ft to my car, insisting that I move the car to where he and the cart were. If you use a credit card, they must scan your driver's license into the cash register terminal. Ga. license has several barcodes with name, address, date of birth, license number. Bad enough as we know very well how many chain stores have outdated, insecure computer systems. Almost every single one has been hacked. But then insisted on my social security number, which they entered into the same system. I should have refused. If you order something, it won't come on the promised date, they will call at the last minute to reschedule, with the exact same story: "The Geek went home sick." I didn't need a Geek. I had purchased a 55" TV and a stand. Didn't need wiring, installation and certainly not connection. I've owned enough smart devices to be able to read and follow instructions, but in my case, I was only buying a smart TV because nobody makes dumb ones anymore. I use AppleTV box connected with HDMI cable. Apple is always adding content and it creates a better picture than other boxes besides creating slide shows from iPhone or Mac photo app. read more

I just strolled in here and I happened to find a really awesome deal for a tv that I could not pass by! I genuinely wanted to purchase this television but finding help was so hard! I came across a few gentlemen that were nearby but they explained that they didn't work in that department (which is very understandable). Unfortunately, I was waiting for a while and received no help at all so I said I'll return back tomorrow to attempt to purchase the television and gratefully the gentleman made the process very smooth for me. I noticed all of the previous horrific reviews about delivery attempts and just decided to haul the television myself to avoid that. Hello On September 23rd items I ordered were misdelivered. After repeated calls to Home Depot and Fed Ex and opening a dispute with your company I received a decision that says and I quote verbatim...We have completed our investigation on your Home Depot Credit Card Services Account regarding the disputed charge(s) listed below. Based on our investigation, we have determined that you are responsible for the disputed charges. In the amount of 634.81. When i initially reported that I received a text statimg my order was delivered I reached out to them immediately, same day, and was told nothing that can be done due to operational hours. I reached out to Fedex was told there is nothing they can do Home Depot has to contact them. I ask the Fed Ex representative, where is the picture you usually take upon delivery? Did you take a pic? She stated yes, and described the house totally not my house i told her that. I ask them to email me the picture, they didn't. I told Home Depot all of this. I told Home Depot representative upon initial report that the picture Fed Ex described is not my house. I was told, go ask your neighbors??? Look all around your home back and front. I said hey I work from home 10a-7p, my office in front of my front yard window view. Text came at 10:53 am saying your order has been delivered. Long story short, I opened a dispute received letter saying it was delivered to your address you. The neighbors son came over October 15th, saying I'm sorry it took so long to get over to you but there are some packages outside my parents home has your address. Consistently fail to deliver items in a timely or professional manner. Was supposed to have an appliance delivered today, they never showed up and now claim they can't come out until next week. I told them their website claims I could buy the appliance on their site right now and it says it would be delivered tomorrow, which they claim isn't accurate. I caution you, do not do business with Best Buy. I'm too exhausted to provide all of the details, so here's the bottom line. 1. I paid $1014 for a Sonos sound bar, tv mount and installationo these and various other items. A total of six items. I paid in advance. 2. for two weeks, I reserved an entire 12 hour day for the installation, which was trimmed down to a four hour period the night before 3. the installer arrived with just three of the six items and told me I'd have to reschedule another appointment for delivery and installation of the remaining half of the order. 4. I advised him that I do not have another entire day just to accomodate Best Buy. I thought I was the customer. 5. the installer could not return the items or credit me for them. I immediately brought the received half order to the store to return. 6. I spoke with an AV manager who told me that I could not return the items yet because their system didn't show the delivery ( by their installation people...seriously!?) 7. that manager asked that I leave the items with him and that he would process my entire return and credit my credit card with the entire $1014 by EOB that day. 8. that did not happen 9. instead I received a voice message from the original sales person saying he wanted to "see how how could make things right". 10. I returned his call...it's been four days...and crickets. 11. on day three I phone customer "service". I was promised that a store manager would get back to me in four hours. it's been 24 hours. again, crickets, 12. BEST BUY...OVER PROMISES AND UNDER DELIVERS! 13. This is an update to my last review written in year 2014. This updated review is strictly on the household appliances department. My washer and dryer have seen their better days, doing laundry has been frustrating in recent times. Finally I had enough with the water not filling up to the right level in the washer and dryer not drying the laundry completely at times. Yes, and I have missed out on all the good deals during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Sob!! I was looking at the latest Samsung AddWash washer and the matching dryer. They were each $799 in most places during Cyber Monday. Now each will cost me $1099! So I was contemplating maybe I should just wait for the New Year, maybe some place will have promotion on these again. While surfing the internet, I saw Sears Home Appliance Showroom still has them at $799 each. But do I want to go all the way to McDonough, GA just to order them? Then someone reminded me that Best Buy can price match it! Went to this Best Buy near home. Went right to the appliance department and admiring the Samsung AddWash washer and dryer for the first time. They looked so fancy!! A staff named Michael approached me and asked how he could be of any assistance. I told him I really like that washer and dryer but I know somewhere was having a better price and if Best Buy would price match for me. Michael said definitely and asked if I have an email or any info to show him. I pulled out that info on my phone and he wrote down the model and checked if the model number of the one in front of me matched. It did. I asked if he would like to see the price for the dryer at Sears. He said it would be fine; he said he believed me and also if the washer was offered at $799, the dryer would be the same. Then I was wondering if the pantry shelves by California closet I have in my laundry room would allow me to add the pedestals (to buy separately) for both the washer and dryer. I have measured and I know if each appliance with a pedestal exceed 57", I would not be able to add that pedestals. I tried to add the measurement stated on the website and on the info displayed but Michael said best to measure using a tape. Michael was simply great, off he went to get a measuring tape and measured the appliance with the pedestal. It was about 54". Yippee!! I bought two pedestals for the washer and dryer too. I proceeded to give Michael my particulars, address and all. Since the dryer was on back order, the earliest I could get them delivered was on Xmas eve. Michael told me he would be more than happy to check for me every week to see if I can get my order faster. I said no worry, I could wait for a couple more weeks. He said if I have any question, feel free to call him. He gave me all the order paperwork, receipt and his name card in a folder. In a week's time I would be getting my new washer and dryer. I don't shop at Best Buy often these days as I now purchase virtually all of my electronics, video games, and accessories online. Amazon has better selection and, in most cases, better pricing. Amazon is also more convenient if you're patient and don't mind waiting for your item to be shipped and delivered. What Best Buy is good for, though, is checking out products in person, such as laptops, cameras, and TVs. Best Buy also isn't a bad place to buy appliances. My washer, dryer, and fridge all came from Best Buy (as did my electric razor!). I purchased a laptop for my mom here for Mother's Day. I used to buy video games all the time at Best Buy. As a Reward Zone member, I'd always use the coupons I received in the mail to get discounts on my games. I do recommend price comparing online. You can find significant differences in prices for items such as TVs, HDMI cables, blank media, and cases/covers for equipment such as iPads. Best Buy can really mark up the prices on certain items like that, so beware. This Best Buy in Buckhead is closest to where I live, so it's one of the Best Buys I visit most often in Atlanta. I actually like this Best Buy a lot because it's comparatively new to the other stores in the metro area and it's big, spacious, and never crowded. The parking lot is always easy to navigate and get in and out of, unlike the busy lots in the suburbs. Also, unlike many who've reviewed this location, I've never had a problem with the customer service here. If anything, it's been very good, including the returns/exchanges counter. I set it up for home installation for the following Monday between 3pm-7pm and no technician showed up.
