Called BB and price for both dash and rear window installation was $100 and the job was completed in 45 minutes. I have been shopping at Best Buy for the past several years. It's time for an updated review since I have more experience at this location and I'm familiar with services I didn't know before. Knowledge of the Associates It's a hit and miss, but overall, most of them are knowledgable and helpful. In-Home-Consultation They send you a specialist to your home for FREE consultation. I was shopping for an over-the-range microwave. I was not sure if the microwave I was interested in could be installed and functions well. They send a specialist to my house. Scheduling an appointment was easy. It was done online. It's free service, and there's no string attached. Installation Service I had my new over-the-range microwave installed by Best Buy. They sent a third party contractor from Seattle. I had to pick a 6 hour window for an install appointment. On the day of the appointment, the contractor called me a gave me a 2 hour window. I paid Best Buy $135 for the installation. However, because the contractor had to drill tiles (not just drywalls), he asked me for $100 extra. I called Best Buy customer service, and they were willing to pick up the extra charge. Mac Specialist They have a Mac specialist in the store. I spoke with him today. He's an Apple employee, not a Best Buy employee. I've always known about Best Buy's price match policy. However, what new the mac specialist told me today is that Apple does not manufacture products specific for specific retailers. So, what you find at Costco, you can find them at Best Buy, exactly the same things. Best Buy matches what they have at Costco as well. Since there's virtually no customer service at Costco, it makes sense to buy a mac at Best Buy. Also, you earn points, which you can use to make purchase at Best Buy. Price Match Policy What Best Buy is most afraid of is those who come into the store, look at products, possibly ask their associates questions about the products, leave the store without make a purchase, and order the product(s) online. So, they are more than happy to price match. I've asked for price match here so many times. It's easy. If you have a smart phone, just pull up a deal from a competitor, including Costco. That's it! FINAL THOUGHTS Many other retailers offer price match guarantee, but I will stick with Best Buy for a couple of reasons. With every purchase, you earn points. When you get enough points, you can use them toward your future purchases at Best Buy. Also, more importantly, I have learned that they try their best to make things right when things go wrong. For example, as I mentioned above, they willingly picked up an extra cost incurred during an installation appointment. Also, because there was a complication during the scheduling of the installation appointment, a manager at the Bellingham store even gave me a gift card for the inconvenience. Yes, it's true, the whole process should have been much smoother, but they did above and beyond to make it right in the end. When one needs some American electronics variety, one can't really go wrong with this store. Parking is plentiful in the nice large lot in front. Like most other locations, this store is very spacious, and has sections for everything from appliances to cameras to hi-fi. Deals can be had (compared to Canada), though it's hit and miss. I'd give the recent experience here no stars if I could. So yesterday my small television quit working, so I spent all day looking for a replacement online, found a good deal on a replacement insignia 24" smart TV, 99.99$ online, get to the store, find said TV directly under signs that say insignia 99.99$ get to checkout to be told it's not the smart Tv for 99.99, even though the ad said otherwise. Tv is 152$. I call the call center after I leave to find out the TV she just tried to sell me isn't even 152$ it is 136$, so not only did I waste all my time for nothing, I was met with a tone like I didn't know anything and was stupid all because the employee didn't ask to see the ad and didn't feel like doing her job. If you see a lady with Green hair, I'd avoid her line, or maybe just avoid the store all together. It's what I'll be doing in the future. I live in Sumas, WA and will drive to Burlington Best Buy from now on. read more

I went into the store to buy a fit bit. The guy who "sold" it to me assured me all I had to do is charge it and go. THIS IS NOT TRUE! I need a smart phone or tablet to use it. I was lied to. IF, the guy told me he didn't know, I could have asked someone else for help; but he couldn't be bothered with the truth or helping me, and that is why I am so mad. He said confidently that I didn't need anything else. The ONLY reason why I rated this 1 star is because I was afraid my rating wouldn't be posted, if I didn't put at least 1 star. Needless to say I have to go back and return the fitbit... I am now on hold with some guy from the 1-800 number, because you can reach anyone in the store. The guy is supposedly trying to find a manager or someone to help me, but I have been on hold for over 10 minutes. He probably isn't coming back, but I always try and give people the benefit of the doubt...even when they are liars, like the guy who sold me the fitbit. I will say this, I am getting madder by the moment. The guy is back. He is spewing nonsense. He says we should do a "call back form". I am going to do it and go into the store tomorrow, but my warning to anyone who is reading this...IF YOU SEE SOMETHING YOU WANT AT BEST BUY, GO ELSEWHERE, SO YOU WON'T HAVE THIS TYPE OF SERVICE. read more

Although they don't always have everything in stock they offer 2 day free shipping just like amazon. The in store warranty used to be better but they still try to figure out how to take care of you if you do have to use it. Either sending it to a service center and if it was sent multiple times then giving you store credit for the cost if they can't fix it. They do not honor manufacturers warrantees so if you don't buy their protection you can't return it to them. The employees are pretty knowledgeable in their individual departments but many times won't venture out of their specific areas. Sometimes it is hard finding help but like every retail store they seem to be understaffed. read more

I had an appointment to get the battery replaced in my iPhone yesterday at this Best Buy. I made the appointment through the Apple Repair Web Site and was directed to my local Best Buy based on my zip code as the closest Apple Certified Repair Center...so I made the appointment with them. I showed up about 10 minutes early and was promptly greeted by a young lady who I assumed was a "Geek Squad" employee. She proceeded to tell me that because of the age of my iPhone (it's iPhone 6s) that the iPhone "might not work right after they replace the battery"?? I told her that I had no issues or problems with my iPhone and that it just needed new battery because the "Battery Capacity" was at 84% and I was having to charge it frequently...the battery is two years old. She went on to say that, again because of the age of my iPhone, they would need to run a diagnostics test on the iPhone and that they would need my phone for 3-4 hours to run the diagnostics and replace the battery. I was more than surprised when she said they would need 3-4 hours to do the work as I have had batteries replaced on my iPhones in the past at Apple Stores a few times and it has never taken more than an hour or so for them to replace the battery. I ended up declining the service from this Best Buy. I told the employee that I'd make another appointment with an authentic Apple Repair Center Store ...she just didn't give me much confidence in the capabilities of the Geek Squad or Best Buy. Additionally, after thinking about my interaction with the employee, I believe she was attempting to get me to upgrade/buy a new iPhone based on her asserting twice that "my iPhone may not work right after having the battery replaced". When I got home, I called Apple Support and talked to a Customer Service representative and I told them that Apple Support should not be directing Apple customers to the Bellingham Best Buy for iPhone repairs as their customer service is far below the standards Apple usually provides to their customers. read more

Me and my wife went in to purchase some products we couldn't get online on their website I was wearing my mask she has a medical condition that prevents her from wearing one the signs on the front of their doors they allow people in their store if they have a medical condition as soon as we walked in we were confronted by an associate and when we inform them she had a medical condition we were rudely told that since she didn't want to wear a mask none of their associates would help us. We love our Best Buy store and today we were just browsing and we met a young salesperson named Coleman. He was not at all pushy and offered some info on an item we were looking at. What should have been 5 min. stop turned into 20+ min. stop. They need to hire competent staff who are trained well. Ordered 2 apple watches series 9 online from home as having a good sale on the watches. I also did a trade-in which was going to give me $30 credit back to credit card I was using (not best buy cc) due to condition etc. Got everything together to make the trade-in printed out my order etc. Email told me ready for pick-up so headed into town. Went to online order pick-up. Of course new hire, screwed up my trade-in by cancelling it. Called over another person who tried to help had to call yet another person and he was like "looks like it was cancelled" to which I said "look here at my printout of order it's on their you guys messed up and cancelled when ringing us up. Sure enough the first young person admitted he had cancelled it. Guess what I had to take a $30 gift card rather than get a $30 credit to the cc I used. What the heck we shop at Best Buy like once a year for only a bigger item we may need. I am so pissed what am I going to buy. Oh and then I found out I won't earn any rewards certificates because a year ago they changed the policy you now have to use a Best Buy credit card. So irritating and frustrating as I was thinking I would earn like $15 for the 2 watches and I could put with the $30 gift card (errrrrgggggg) and get maybe an airfryer. What the heck this Bham Best Buy has taken a major nose dive in staff and respect for paying customers. Beyond irritated also with main company not allowing reward certificates if you use a different cc to pay for a purchase. Now what am I going to buy? To say the least I will try to find something to buy with the gift card and I am not doing business again with Best Buy if I can help it. My friend purchased a television through Best Buy's Open-Box for electronics. I helped her pick it up and was impressed with their no-contact curbside procedures. It was clear where we should park. Masked-up staff appeared immediately to help us. The transfer was fast and efficient. Safe and secure, the staff member was courteous and quick, loaded the car without our having to do anything that would interfere or put any of us at risk. Terrific transaction, guys--keep it up. It was a final stop on my latest trip before I headed off home to Canada. I was looking for a blu-ray, and I stormed in here looking, actually already in a giving up mood as I couldn't find this particular product anywhere else. I liked how all the movies were placed in the right area, very easy to sift through movies and tv-shows, dvd's to blu-rays and what I was looking for was magically sitting there. I thought that I would have no human interaction, and before I left the store to allow them to take my hard earned money, I strolled into the video game isle, and usually walking in these places, with the amount of people that were shopping, they would usually forget to even acknowledge me, well I was wrong. I had a pretty good conversation with one of the entertainment reps, who actually asked if I was looking for anything, to even show me some product that some people may overlook. Even though I didn't buy anything from him, and only purchased my blu-ray, it was a nice experience, and if this Best Buy was in my neighbourhood, I definitely would go there. Best Buy is always a reliable place when on the road if you forget a cable or something and need to quickly pick one up. I had an expensive one of those moments this past business trip. I realized I had left my bluetooth earpiece at home. I had gotten a ticket from a police officer on another business trip in another state due to talking on my iPhone while driving. Not knowing what the law is in each locality or state, I've found it's easier to just use the bluetooth earpiece in every state and therefore protect myself from receiving another ticket - so I bought another Motorola Sliver II headset. I got lucky, it was the last one they had in the store! The associate who rang me up was very friendly and outgoing! read more

Ordered fridge online, collected from Bellingham, was able to see sides but not able to remove cardboard over corners or tape, made to feel bad for asking to look at it at all. came dented, 3 dents on door side. Live in Canada so expensive and time consuming to return. Bestbuy customer service won't guarantee replacement isn't dented if I go to collect nor offer discount to keep dented one. expect better, disappointing. Our laptop recently died so we went to Best Buy to purchase a new one. We have their service plan so we thought it best to get the new laptop with them. We purchase it with out issue. The clerk was wonderful. He told us to go over to the service counter so we could get the data off of the old computer transferred to the new one. Great. There were zero customers at the service counter. Walked up to the clerk working the counter and asked if he could transfer the data. He asked if we had an appointment, we said no we came over to him as directed by his coworker. he told us he could not help us as we had no appointment. I understand having an appointment policy, I do, we only walked over to him because we were directed to. He told us he could not help us because we had no appointment. We asked when the next appointment was, it wasn't for two hours. we asked if he was currently helping anyone who had an appointment, he said no. There were no scheduled appointments untill later. Um okay. Since you have no scheduled appointments and are not currently helping someone, can you check in our computer to later perform a data transfer? Nope, we didnt have an appointment. He would not help us with anything. Fine, we decided to return the computer and take our business elsewhere. He checked in the computer. The next day, with an appointment, we went to pick up the lap top. We s hi owed up 10 minutes early. When asked if we could pick up the computer we were asked if we had an appointment. YES we do sir. He looked up out info and proceeded to inform us that we were 10 minutes early. Seriously!? No paperwork or processing was required all we needed was for him to hand us our laptop. When asked if he was seriously going to have us stand there for ten minutes just to hand us our laptop he went into the back room and did not ot return for 15 minutes. Then, handed us our laptop. Barked orders, stared at me in a weirdly aggressive way, then said, "You're free to go!" when I was done with the purchase. Wtf? And don't try to pull the plausible deniability nonsense, that tone was violent. Life is hard enough you know? No one needs to be verbally attacked for existing, take your aggression out in a better way.
