I went here yesterday to get a keyboard for my grandmother's Samsung Smart TV. When I walked into the store, I was greeted nicely by someone at the front door, and told me to go to the home theater department to speak with someone regarding my request. When I went there, I spoke with two people regarding a USB keyboard. They took me to one area so I can see which keyboard would be perfect (in the computer area), and they re-assured me that if it didn't work, I can return it, regardless of whether or not it was open. Of course when I got back to my grandmother's place and tried it out, there was no issue at all. Therefore, a return was not necessary. The store itself looked nice, and was very well lit. The shelves were organized, and the employees that I dealt with were patient. The line at the cash registers, however, was very slow (hence the removal of one star). I don't even think this review will help change anything in store, because clearly no one in the store cares about much during the holidaze. I went in here three times after sifting through the web site so I could find what I was looking for and ask some questions, and was never acknowledged by multiple workers. Oh someone shopping, needing help? No one cares, and with as many people as they had "working," everyone looked miserable and exhausted walking around, avoiding eye contact. Somehow, all three times, everyone was too busy to even offer to help me. I even waited an hour on the third try. I can order online and bypass the b.s. next time, but I will go in-store to peep what I want first, and will not need customer service. Maybe they will be able to handle that. I wish I could give this 0 stars. I am writing to inform of the grievance and inconvenience I experienced during my purchase at Best Buy (#475). My past experiences at this Best Buy have always been pleasant. However on January 20, 2019, I was assisted by a female employee to sign up for a Best Buy credit card and order a Canon EOS M50 Bundle with the 15-45mm and 55-200mm. Unfortunately, I cannot recall her name but she is shorter than 5 feet, shoulder length dirty blonde hair, and wears colored glasses. Please see below for the situation and difficulties: * Due to the bundle not being available in store, the employee stated there are two options, 1) pick-up in store and 2) delivery within the week. Due to living in Lacey, I explicitly stated I would like delivery. The employee similarly agreed with me as the delivery would be almost as the item arriving in store for me to pick up. She input my information, address, phone number, etc. I was under the impression that she was getting my information to have it delivered. I also signed up for the Best Buy credit card to do monthly payments. In the duration of 1 day, I contacted Best Buy customer service phone number, online, and in-store. 1. My Best Buy Account: I logged onto my account since the receipt did not give any indication of confirmation # or tracking #. That is when I found out the purchase was made to pick-up, not delivery. Attached is a screenshot that says pick-up in store. 2. Best Buy Customer Service via 1-888-237-8289: I proceeded to call with the order number to confirm that my account was addressed incorrectly. However, they were unable to find my confirmation # for my order. There was no confirmation # on the receipt. 3. Best Buy Customer Service via online chat: After calling and searching for a confirmation to no avail, I contacted the online customer service. In hopes the representative I spoke to earlier was mistaken, I wanted to check all possibilities. Again, the same problem occurred in that the representative had difficulty locating the order #. After the conversation, he advised me to speak the original Best Buy. Please see attached for the conversation. 4. Best Buy Brick via 732-477-4443: In the morning, I spoke to Robin. She attempted to help the situation and offered to search my account. She advised me to look for any confirmation # that had BB or 1's in front of it. The receipt had none of these except a valid #. In the afternoon, I called the store again to see when a manager is available to speak to. This time, I spoke to Tiffany. After being unavailable to find my order #, she was the only representative who found a record of my receipt. She informed that the way the employee who did the transaction did it as if I bought the item on side. However, I did not walk out with any item since the bundle was not in stock. Tiffany also stated the manager is able to review the videotape as I was leaving Best Buy on January 20, 2019 between 4-5 P.M. and check the inventory. Ultimately, I informed her I will definitely be stopping by the Best Buy to amend this problem. Please see attached for the receipt, and phone record. I understand this is a minor issue. However, this situation could have been avoided in the first place. I would have been willing to wait for another employee if she informed me, she is incapable of making an order for delivery and signing me up for a Best Buy card. In the past, I also worked in retail, and empathize it may be overwhelming at times due to the volume of customers. In the store yesterday, there was not an overwhelming amount of customers, no line after me, and I was the only customer she was currently helping. I would appreciate if this situation was brought to the attention of the employee, and the appropriate measures are taken. I understand this is a lengthy however, in one day, I have spent a frustrating amount of time and spoken to Best Buy customer service to see if there is anything that can be done, and find out what the next step is to move forward in this process. Fortunately, I have not had enough time yet to call the Best Buy credit card service otherwise, I can only imagine there will be more difficulties. As I would very much like to solve this problem, I will go to the store and have all of this amended. Also for privacy reasons, I did not attach my Best Buy Account history, receipt, my phone log spent calling, and the online chat I had with the customer service, to this review. However, I do have proof of all of them. This was an extremely frustrating experience and distraught cannot even suffice how I feel. read more

I've had nothing but trouble with this store. I ordered and payed for an LG Washer and dryer set with pedestals. On three separate occasions they sent me the wrong colored pedestals! Their only solution is for me to take off a fourth day from work to wait for replacement pedestals! I just had the best customer service experience in have ever had in my life. Ordered a AC unit online, I waited a week for it to come to my Best Buy location. When I picked it up the box was destroyed and open I took it anyway because I need it for my bedroom. After brining it home I removed the box and I was missing all kinds of parts to assembly it. I call the store and they said bring it back. Now I am pissed. When I brought the AC back to the store the manager had the security person remove the AC from my car and bring it in. To make a long story short they did not have another one. The paid 349 online for the AC the manager of the store. Said pick what you want so I picked out a 499 dollar unit and they exchange it. Purchased a Apple MacBook two months ago, and accidently damaged screen {my fault not theirs}. they sent it out for repair and wanted 900 to fix it as it was not under warranty. They first wanted 100 before they sent it out to wipe out passwords for my credtit cards and banking info. should have done it as a courtesy,for mine and their protection....when I refused to repair it, thet charged me 35 fee . The store offered me no goodwill assisantance, and had a no care attidude after spending 2300 on a lap top i can't use. Never will. buy another product there again. read more

Their installers will put holes in your wall and they'll give you defective products. And then they'll make you chase them for 48 hours straight to have them let the phone ring once (on the wrong phone number) and leave a voicemail saying they'll be coming to replace your shit in one whole week at a really inconvenient time without leaving a callback number. Did I mention that the washer leaked water that's probably rotting my floor and the dryer let off such an intense burning smell that my dog freaked out and that's how we didn't die in a fire? Long story short I brought in my macbook from 2009 to see if I needed a new charger or the charging port needed to be replaced. Geek squad did help me out a lot but figuring out it was the charger that needed to be replaced and not the computer. I walked over to the Apple area of the store and decided to locate the charger needed for my computer. Thankfully for once an employee decided to come over and help me locate what I needed. His name was Brandon. Brandon was able to look at my charger grabbed the one off the shelf I needed and then proceeded to tell me why I needed this charger and not the other. I asked for a moment of his time so he could show me the new MacBook Airs and other mac laptops there were recently on sale this week. This is where the story goes south. Brandon proceeded as if he were a GOD and knew everything there was to know about MacBook's. I've had my MacBook for over 5 years and Brandon grabbed the charger out of my hands and insisted that I needed to buy a new MacBook because MacBooks only last between 5-10 years. Thank you for the information, I now know I can have my MacBook for another 5 years or so. At this point I went from being very sure I wanted to buy a new MacBook no matter what to maybe I can wait a little bit. I then started asking questions about flash memory storage, processor differences, and computer speeds between the MacBooks. It took the associate 15-20 minutes to finally ask what kind of laptop I currently have that I was going to replace the charger with. Basically telling my MacBook is a piece of crap and I need to upgrade immediately because it is so outdated it isn't going to work and flash memory is so much more reliable. Ignorance is bliss to some, it is hated by others. I say this because he completely disregarded the need a sales associated must make to connect, relate and understand a customer. I asked him for a few minutes to think things over. He literally gave me less than two minutes. He does not know what it means to be customer centric. He continues to push and push on why I should buy a more expensive model, when I was only willing to buy the one I originally told him about. To him spending the extra $200 plus wasn't a big deal and he said it would be stupid to buy what I originally wanted. He was focused more on selling the best buy credit card and warranty than the computer itself. Bestbuy needs to retain and teach him how to focus on the customer and that will lead to the stores success. From his arrogance I chose not to buy a macbook. I bought a charger off amazon just from the basis and lack of customer care he had. He's a smart kid but needs to be retrained. read more

Have shopped here for years and all sales personal were great. Except for last week when I bought a refrigerator. The salesman acted annoyed when I asked any questions. When I was explaining what I was looking for he said nastily "just tell me what you want." After I picked out a refrigerator I asked about a feature. His answer was I don't know about any of that stuff you have to ask the delivery people. It is a little late for answers after delivery even if they knew the answers. To make a long story short, I had a MAJOR issue with an order I placed on Black Friday. After scheduling delivery on THREE separate occasions, my order was never delivered and no one called to reschedule. I called customer service on three separate occasions, holding on for upwards of 50 minutes with zero luck. THEN I GOT RENALDO!!! Thank God! What has taken over three weeks to resolve, he resolved in a few minutes. I brought my computer in and did not have an appointment. Told them what was wrong (running very slow) and had to wait 3 hours for an appointment. When I came back for my appointment it took 5 minutes to find someone that wanted to help me. It was faster seeing someone 3 hours before. I NOW HAD AN APPOINTMENT (didn't matter)They took the person whose appointment was after mine before me. Then they plugged my computer in and booted it up. It was slow which is why I came in 3 hours ago. The guy said ok I can get it back to you Tuesday (today is Saturday). I asked why they didn't just tell me this 3 hours ago? He replied they had to do paperwork. I said so I had to come back here 3 hours later to sit down for 5 minutes while you did paperwork? Other people were actually getting their computers worked on. We ordered it Thursday and it was installed on Saturday with the dead one removed . Ive been a customer for years and everytime I get a new cellphone I insure it with Geek squad insurance, I have a total of 3 cellphones from BestBuy, I'm told by the Verizon person from Bestbuy that if my phones screen breaks or it stop working all I have to do is bring in broken phone and I leave with a new one. I drop my phone, go to the store and I'm told that they changed there policy and a phone is shipped to me and can take up to 4 days for replacement, and after the $149 deductible its a ripoff. Keep there $9 to $15 a month and just pay for a screen replacement or insure through Verizon . read more

So my switch speakers broke and I went to replace them myself but my console is 4 years old and the screws had become stripped with time. This issue is preventing from doing a home repair as I don't have a strip screw kit at the moment. So I think to myself my console is out of warranty why not call Best Buy as they have fixed my computers quite well in the past. So I call them up on my lunch break at work only for them to tell me I have to be part of their 200 dollar family tech care program in order for them to fix my switch and on top of that the repair fee would be 50 dollars. Suffice to say I didn't even bother making the appointment. To put it in prospective for 50 dollars more you could buy a new switch. If I had that kind of money witch I don't, I would just replace the current unit with the newer model. Im am very disappointed in geek squad and I will no longer be doing business with them. So now I'm stuck with a switch that has no sound. Do not go to Best Buy to get your console fixed unless you want to pay an arm and a leg. read more

Worst experience ever. Reserved a dvd online . Under my email, but my mom paid for it. When got to store show them barcode on my phone and would not allow me to pick it up because i didnt pay for it. Said my mom had to come there herself with a gov. Issued id so they can put it under a black light, then she could get her $10 dvd. Thats ridiculous. So I went in here today looking for an apple charger and walked out with my brand new iPhone 6. I met a salesman! I was wanting to upgrade for a while, but this phone leasing program didn't seem right for me. Brandon took the time to explain everything about it as well as at&t's future plans for contract plans, and I just went for it, understanding it and the benefits for it much more than I ever have. Great job Brandon(this coming from a car salesman). Oh and by the way, this happened while on vacation, away from home, visiting my mother. It was awesome! I didn't get any notification about the order so I went to the best buy website to check the order status. The computer I wanted to buy was on sale for $999. I called them up and they told me to reorder it. It was sold out on Saturday when I went to reorder it. Best Buy has a convenient order online and pick up in store service. Talk about a quick easy way for the get in and get out shopper. I have used this several times. I even picked up for a family member. This is great when you want an item that is in stock in another store. They will ship it to the store you use. A simple call or email for notification and it's a done deal. I'll be using this service again. read more
