Horrible service. Terrible communication. My order was over 1500.00 and was for curbside pick up. Nobody would assist, despite asking for help numerous times. Working with their geek squad was infuriating. There was one girl who was just stupid and a total b. She had no problems displaying an attitude full of lip smacking, eye rolling and sighs. I had to get a manager to get her out of my face because she didn't know what she was talking about and was so inconsistent in what she said that I had to question her constantly to gain clarity on the situation. Which made her extremely mad. I purchased a computer here and they couldn't honor my protection plan 6 weeks into it. But it took them over a month to be able to even tell me this. I had to call multiple times a day and then go in to finally get an answer. Ultimately on a computer that cost $400+ (PLUS the top protection plan) they only wanted to give me $230 for a few weeks later. It was a total battle for everything. I purchased an entire top of the line SAMSUNG kitchen appliance package 1.3 years ago,here at Best Buy. three of the refrigerator door bins have failed. two for the second time, and the main drawer failed. The microwave turns itself on and off randomly, the fan and lights go on and off.. and the turntable is intermittent. the ceramic stove top has chips in the cook surface and the drawer hangs crooked. RUN from SAMSUNG. once the one year warrenty is out it is cheaoer to throw it all away and to go get a new GE or other quality appliance package for the same monthly cost of maintaining the SAMSUNG crap. Best Buy and Samsung are no help even when you have reoccuring issues during the warrenty period, that re fail after warrenty is over. read more

Want to tell you I am very disappointed in the store in Conroe. As a retail manager I completely understand we all have policies we live by. I also understand to take care of a customer there are some exceptions. I had my college student drive to the Conroe location because my Beat Buy in Houston has always taken care of me if I ever needed to price match something. Unfortunately the package walmart had was not available there. Fine. Well we looked at Amazon and they had the one there for $16 less. So I asked if they could price match that one. Even though it was the same exact xbox they would not because it was shipped from a 3rd party on Amazon. So I guess price matching has its exception and would not take care of my son for $16. So not only will I not shop at Best Buy again I will be canceling account. read more

Finding help at this Best Buy leaves lots to the imagination. We went in today to purchase a washer and dryer and it took almost 15 minutes before anyone came around to assist us. Once we were assisted the buying process went smoothly. Gretchen was knowledgeable and able to process our order. Having a 2 hour delivery time frame was nice so we aren't wasting our entire day waiting around. The overall selection of movies in this store is minimal and this particular store can do with the update that both the Spring and Woodlands locations have. read more

Floor staff have no real motivation to help. I walked in to get a device for my hubby and one of the sales reps saw me standing there and after helping a customer he looked away. I asked is there someone who can help? He said in a totally unprofessional way, "yes, what do you need?" SMH. Does Best Buy train their floor reps on customer service at all? So a while back I had posted a bad review due to 30 employees standing around but zero help from any of them. Today we decided we needed a new tv and few more electronics. Every employee we walked past greeted us and asked if we needed help. But the person who stood out the most was a man named Sean in the TV department. He had so much knowledge! He was very nice and gave us really good tips on the new TV we purchased. You can really tell he cares about his job. You don't come across people like that anywhere these days. Came in today for my first visit, looking for a drone that fit my budget. As a first time drone buyer, I didn't know what to look for other than one that can shoot video and pictures. Upon entering the store, I asked if they had an expert in drones and was introduced to Shaun. I showed him a drone I saw on their website and he pointed it out to me; also gave me the specifications. But he said if I wanted to splurge a little, he recommended the Mantis Q. It was very nice and a little above my budget but not much. I decided to get the Mantis. He also helped me pick out the best carrying case for it and wasn't too costly. Shaun was a very big help and gave excellent customer service! read more

I ended up having to buy a new charger to test it out in the store and then returning it immediately after due to it not being compatible and "slow charging." I had to return an expensive item as I could not get the sound bar to work. I called Geek squad out to make the installation. It was worth it to me to just get it working. Geek Squad rep came out messed with this for a few minutes and determined this was a factory fault issue and return to the store. I purchased this in April & it is now mid June. The Geek Squad person didn't charge as he said this would be unethical for him to charge me. Great Customer service on his part. I bought a Negear :Nighthawk wifi booster from Best Buy and was told my the salesman I had 30 days to return it if it didn't work for me. It DID NOT do the job, so when I went back to return it, item in perfect condition and receipt in hand, I was told by customer service, that only "Preferred Customers" get the 30 day return policy. I shop at Best Buy often! I have bough laptops, a washer and dryer, car stereo, steam cleaner, and other items here. Most of the staff are helpful and knowledgeable. The store does offer a lower price if you show that the item is cheaper elsewhere, as I did when I bought my carpet cleaner. I buy the black tie protection plan for almost all the major items I buy and it has paid off more then once so I'd recommend it. I got my DVD player and vacuum cleaner replaced without a hassle. I have used the car audio installation garage and it was quick and painless. All in all I love the store and will continue to shop there. read more

If I could go less than 1-Star I would! The word FRUSTRATION does even begin to describe my experience at this Conroe Best Buy. Went into store some 3 weeks ago. Set up for a home advisor to visit my house and go over home theater purchases. Never contacted me. Went back in on July 3rd. Set up for Home Advisor to come and also talk about kitchen upgrades. Never contacted me. Went in yesterday (July 10th) sole to a manager, he directly texted the in-home advisor (Ryan ...), set an appt for today at 10 am. I was here. When I called Manager at Best Buy and spoke to them at 1:30 ish today (7/11), he said he would have the rep contact me ASAP. He said he called and emailed. Never got an email, text, or phone call. Called back 90 min later and Mngr said that their in-home advisor dude (Ryan) said that he came to my house today at 10am. He's lying! I was at my house from 9:40 till 3 pm today with door open. Never a knock, doorbell ring or whatever. Mngr is clueless in how to keep customers. Didn't offer me any incentives to keep my business with them. Guess I'll be taking my business to Frye's or Sears. Best Buy will never see another dollar of my hard-earned money! read more

Every time I go in this store, all anyone wants to do is sell you a TV or a cell phone. I went in to buy a graphics card and there were only about three to choose from. On a different occasion, I went there looking for a router and modem and the selection was also very limited. Both trips I waited around for someone to ask if there were more that I was missing (they were not busy) but no one ever came. This shocked me because the second you walk into the TV section or cell phone section you are bombarded by people trying to sell to you. So I went to the TV section and when I was approached I asked him about more graphics cards. He tried to sell me a TV. There were a few more cards at the back of the store. Still not sure why all their stuff seems to be scattered everywhere, but even so, the selection was still bad. Both times I ended up going to the tech section of Walmart where at least I could find what I was looking for and, oddly, there was a much larger selection to choose from. read more

I purchased a DVD player and the salesman was so helpful and knowledgeable. I was dreading trying to find a DVD player that would also allow me to watch Amazon movies as I know nothing about technology. Not only was he kind, and patient he also set up an appointment with their installation section and they came out to my home the next day and installed it and showed me how to use it. I will definitely go back to this store when I need a new TV and also washer, dryer, and refrigerator. Customer service is so very helpful. read more

So I really didn't want to go to Best Buy to have my computer fixed but it wasn't working with any of the other local businesses. I was really surprised when they won me over so easily. I told the techie the problem and he said oh I think I know what that is. We can probably fix that while you wait. I was stunned. Not only that it only cost $30! One of the places I called in Conroe said he knew what it was and it would probably cost about $160. Next time you need a geek give Best Buy in Conroe a try. HDMI cables. One of the TV's had a damaged screen. The install technician took that TV and the HDMI cable and wall mount back with him and had to reschedule. When they called to confirm the night before I was told they were only bringing the TV--not the wall mount out cable I had already purchased that they had at my home on original date but took back with them. I asked where the wall mount and cable was and was told by technician I had to call the store. First time I called I was left on hold for nearly an hour and then the line disconnected. The second time I called they told me they had to investigate. I was put on hold for about 10 min and they came back and confirmed that they had my mount and HDMI cable but could not override the system to include these on the truck before it goes out--even though that wouldn't be for days. They suggested a new install date in 2021-more than 6 weeks away and after the holidays. I asked why, if they were going to put the TV on the truck, could a human not override the system to include the mount and the cable that they took back with them but that is already purchased. They said they had to talk to a manager but couldn't find one and again offered a date next year. I don't understand this at all. They delivered a damaged TV and a mount and a cable. They choose to take back all of these things instead of leaving the mount and the cable I already purchased and paid for. Then they rescheduled the delivery without these items and had to research that I actually purchased them and that they took them back. Then they confirmed for me they had all three items but, get this, because their computer would not allow them to put all three back on the truck together--because one of their schedulers didn't include them together for the INSTALL--I can only get my TV and they will have to come back out another time to actually hang it and connect it--even though all three items are together in the same place--simply because no human being can make the logical call and override the computer. Complete joke. Plenty of apologies but zero ability to handle in a way that would cost less money, save everyone time and provide quality customer service and experience. Whatever genius decided this was the way to win repeat business needs to go back to school--would rather pay more and send my dollars elsewhere than ever use these guys for anything again. I'm sitting here with a keyboard that's less than one year old that's cranky to say the least and a computer that changes it's own programs in the middle of the night and a brand new wifi printer that rarely works for me. I bought a contract with Geek Squad, but now they make me bring my equipment into the store to be worked on, and the guys that came to the house were mundane to say the least.....no help there. Yawn! I find the whole operation to be "ho hum". And I'm stuck with an 83 yr. old well oiled and functioning brain but also with electronic equipment that simply doesn't cooperate at all. I invision all the employees at Best Buy hoping I'll drop dead any day.....(that's not what it's all about guys). The world is too difficult to even fathom these days without a retired teacher who graduated from U of Houston Summa Cum Laude and a Master's degree, being treated like chattel. My TV purchase went great, but the Total Tech Support/Geek Squad purchase was a failure. The salesman stated the service plan would cover my specific smart home, but after their in-home visit it was determined not the case. Numerous attempts to obtain a full refund failed with this location, the Total Tech Support, Magnolia Design Team, and the corporate office in Minnesota! I never used this support service because it did not work with my system! I encountered 11 out right hang up phone conversations with LaLaine, Rhem, Juan, Clark, Merjorie, and Flor and others I did not documnt from different offices. Bottom line - don't purchase Best Buy's service and support plans. Waste of time. If you ever need to request a refund, good luck! It is better to dispute the charge with your credit card company and file a complaint with the BBB. All this occurred while I was patient and polite. Due to the hassle I went throught, I also wanted to return my $2,000 TV but Best Buys considers this an "appliance" and subject to a 15 day return when in fact their website does NOT classify a TV as an appliance. I am very concerned with how a clerk treated my Mom who was in the market for a mobile phone. Instead of a clerk showing where the phones are and explaining the features, the clerk pointed where they were and proceeded to set her up as a joke when my Mom tried to handle the model phone to understand the features and functionality. She watched my Mom struggle trying to removed the bolted down phone smiling instead of helping her. When my Mom was clearly frustrated she approached and said they are bolted down what do you want! My Mom explained that she wants to understand the features since she want to upgrade her existing phone. The clerk had no patience and told her to see someone else who spend time talking her through this. REALLY, I wish I could fly in from Pittsburgh to Texas to speak to the manager. My Mom was in tears with the rude and snub behavior of this clerk (young woman). I would recommend that you avoid this store! read more

This is absolutely the worse store for computer products. If there was a 0 rating they would get it. Bought a new PC for my business based on want I was told they could do on data transfer. I bought there (geek squad in home service ) just in case (biggg waste of money. ) Took my old pc to them for 2 days and when I got them back most of the data did NOT get transferred. Even took it back and the tech transferred want he could and explained that some data would have to be done manual ( several days if not weeks) Which takes me back to my opening (I was told all this could be done. Called geek and explained the 3 (yesThree) things that need to be done, I agreed to p[ay the 50 bucks for them to do a in-home visit. He showed up on time and said he would only do one of the three things and the other two would be a additional fee. I asked him to leave. I'll end up paying for someone to assist me on this but will never darken Best Buy door again. Word of mouth goes a long way. read more

This has been an absolute NIGHTMARE. After being on the phone for over an hour and a half NO ONE was able to help.I ordered the ibuypower GT 730 on black friday and paid $541.24 as it was on sale for a black friday deal. However it was worth $699.99. After being told UPS picked it up and calling UPS, Ups confirmed that it was never picked up. Then after holding for 30 minutes with best buy I'm told they lost it...this is not my fault. When told my options I was told that it can no longer be shipped to my home and the only way I could get it was by picking it up from a store that is 2 hours away from my home....Also not an option. You lost it...The upgrade to the desktop I purchased is now on sale for $699.99 which is what the one I ordered is worth and it is available to pick up at the store an hour away. I spoke with a Customer Service Supervisor named EMILY batch# 6831580 and she was rude and absolutely NO help. She told me the best she could do was refund me. I demanded that she give me her boss and she refused. I then demanded corporate's number and was still denied it. When calling corporate (the number is easily found on the website...but they don't have it?) I was then transferred BACK to customer service and I have now been on hold to talk to a supervisor again for 24 minutes. THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!! I will NEVER shop with best buy AGAIN! I work in customer service and this is the ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD!! I WILL go to the media if it does not get taken care of. read more

DON'T ORDER ON-LINE FOR IN STORE PICK UP! My boyfriend ordered me a Surface Pro 6 online for my birthday from another state (He is temporarily living in another state for work and wanted to get me something nice for my birthday since he could not spend the day with me) to pick up at the Conroe, TX, Best Buy location. We were informed that the time he placed the order, the pick up time would be within one hour. He ordered with his card, of which Best Buys system automatically put the order under his name. We did not want that, we wanted it to be under my name, so his only option was to go ahead and add me as an authorized person to pick up his in-store orders. One hour wait for pick up turned into six hours. I tried to call the store and nobody would answer. After giving up waiting for someone to answer the phone after 30 minutes, I decided to go up there myself. I informed the lady at the counter about the situation. I was informed that there was no order on the shelves for pick up under my name or my boyfriends name. She looked it up, and said there was a hold on the account and there was nothing they could do in the store, and I had to call a number. Keep in mind, I DID NOT RECEIVE NOTICE OF THIS THROUGH EMAIL OR ON THE TRACKER ONLINE. All it said was "We are gathering your items..." acting like nothing was wrong. Well in fact there was something wrong. They should have notified me something was wrong, they had a full six hours to do it before I finally showed up in person, but they did not. Poor notification on Best Buys part. ANYWAYS - I had to call some Best Buy number and waited at the counter for 20 minutes on hold with some best buy representative guy some where in the world. After on hold for 20 minutes, I finally spoke with him and it took 30 minutes for the representative to figure out it was because I was not listed as a person who was allowed to pick up his orders, yet I had it pulled up on my phone that I was. I am also confused because the lady did not ask for any identification, so how was there already a hold on the account before I showed up to the store, I am not sure??? but whatever. Yet the lady at the store couldn't do anything about it. And the guy on the phone said he could not see that I was. He told me to add myself as an authorized person to pick up orders AGAIN, I did, yet their system would not update and the guy on the phone could NOT see I was someone able to pick it up. After dealing with this whole situation FOR ONE HOUR, we had to cancel the order because there was no way they were allowing me to pick up the order. Ridiculous. AND GET THIS! Through all of this - the order was not even ready and at the Store Pick Up counter, there was a hold on our order, they went ahead and charged my boyfriends card. I will NEVER order online for store pick up ever again because that was such a hassle. AFter leaving the Store Pick Up counter, I went ahead and bought it at the back of the store with my own card because I did not go through the 30 minute drive plus hour fiasco at the store for nothing. One star is too much for the experience I have had with the Best Buy in Conroe. From purchasing to delivery and installation to customer service the whole process has been one giant fiasco. Geek squad installation was not as promised for TV and speakers. Still waiting on delivery of a washer and dryer since September 10th purchase. Suppose to show up yesterday (2nd attempt)....never happened...never a phone call. Customer service call was horrendous. New delivery date....October 3rd......I won't hold my breath. i purchased a desktop computer and they gave me webroot int.sec software free with purchase. when trying to install it would not accept the code and referred me to a phone number. i called and got some guy trying to explain why i was having a problem and wanted me to pay an extra $200.00 to upgrade the software. after 15 minutes listening to his garbage i hung up. took the software to the store here in conroe and explained the problem. the manager said that the code had gone to a scam site and i needed to go to another site or bring my computer to the store and the geek squad would install it for me but there would be a charge. i just called best buy's main office and was told nothing could be done because the software was free for 6 months. so i have an item that is of no use. best buy has the worst customer service i have ever seen. why are they still selling this software if they know it is a scam. they should be investigated. read more
