As an autistic, short woman in a wheelchair, I don't always expect to be noticed, let alone truly helped. But Peyton did. I was tucked away near the Surface computers, and he approached me with kindness, attentiveness, and an ease that made the interaction feel effortless. His genuine connection, along with how clearly he enjoys working with his team, stood out in the best way. Best Buy, you have a gem in Peyton--and you've built a jewelry box worth opening. Came in for the Geek Squad as this is the only nearby Apple repair shop. Had an appointment and waited over 10 minutes to even get acknowledged to check in with 5 people behind me. The decor looks like it's from 20 years ago. When I came back, there was literally no one around and finally after 5 minutes someone came out and I had to yell for them to notice I was there. More problematic is they broke my phone! During the repair I was told they damaged the display flex connector so now they have to order an entire replacement phone and I have to come back in 1-3 days (after a 2 hour "repair"). I will be back for the new phone and then never again. Drive to Boulder or Denver for your Apple repairs unless you want your items damaged by their incompetent staff! read more

Avoid this Geek Squad at all costs! I took my iPhone 12 mini to them to replace the battery and they broke my phone during the repair. They said that they would order me a replacement iPhone within 24 hours and it has been a week with zero update. I have gone into Best Buy several times and they are blaming Apple for not responding to their request. I called Apple and they say this is untrue and that no one has reached out to them about getting a replacement phone sent. So now I am going back and forth between going into the physical location, calling Geek Squad's customer support, and Apple's customer support. Going into this store is worse than going to the DMV. There is no urgency to help customers, no one knows what they are doing, and there is no organization. The Best Buy manager Jesse was completely useless and again, blamed Apple for the whole situation. They did not offer me a loaner phone, a newer replacement iPhone, or a refund of the $80 I paid for them to break my phone, nothing. All they are telling me is to "just wait". I have waited far too long. It is unfortunate there is not an Apple store in Fort Collins but I promise you it is worth traveling to one out of town for all your Apple repairs. I've been in here a couple of times for various reasons, and each experience has been terrific. The store is easy to locate and has plenty of parking. It is very big, kept clean, and well organized for the most part. They were quite busy on Friday night as most people were looking to get phone cases for the new Iphone. Staff were all very pleasant and extremely helpful. The phone case area was a bit disorganized, but the lady working did a great job of showing us where stuff was (at least they knew!). We also got a quote recently for a stereo install and even though the lady working wasn't the usual person for that area, she did a great job at helping us find what we were looking for. read more

You could fire both of the Fort Collins managers. They both treated me horribly on two separate days. The male manager told me he would never sell me another MacBook. The trouble was with the Mac hardware itself and nothing I did wrong!!!! I feel like they are discriminating against me. I'm an older woman who happens to have been a vice president of a bank and at one time I was in charge of all the bank's computers. So tell me - it was because I can't turn on a new laptop and not be able to set it up correctly. Please people beware of the Fort Collins Best Buy. We have ordered multiple appliances and purchased a Best Buy Total membership. A dishwasher we purchased and they installed in our Fraser (mountain) property broke within the warranty period. They have cancelled repair/replace 4 times at the last minute, the last one only an hour before the appointed time saying the truck broke down in Granby (a small mountain town hours from any major highway or city). It is a 3 hour drive for us to get to the property so we have wasted considerable time and expense trying to be here FOUR TIMES!!!. They have scheduled a fifth visit and I don't believe they will show up. Meanwhile it has now been months. Do not purchase appliances from Best Buy, they do not honor their warranties. read more

We recently discovered that we had been charged for Microsoft 365 Family for several years -- a subscription we never knowingly signed up for, never used, and never needed. After some digging, it appears that when we purchased a PC from Best Buy Fort Collins, a free trial was quietly activated, and our credit card information was somehow used for recurring payments without our clear consent or understanding. This went unnoticed until now. When we went to Best Buy to ask for help clarifying the situation and locating proof of the original license we paid for, we were met with indifference and dismissiveness. Amanda, the greeter at the front door ignored us completely while chatting about personal matters with other employees. When we politely asked for help, we were sent to the Customer Service desk, where we were told there was nothing they could do. We explained that we had tried reaching Microsoft directly but couldn't get through to a real person -- and hoped Best Buy could look into our purchase history or at least offer guidance. The store manager, Eric, became defensive when we voiced our frustration and disappointment in the store's lack of customer care and professionalism. Instead of helping, he told us not to "call employees names," even though we simply described what happened and how we were treated. This isn't about "name-calling." This is about accountability. Customers deserve to be heard, treated with respect, and provided clear help when something goes wrong -- especially with billing for products they may not even realize they're being charged for. We are sharing this review to warn others: Always check your Microsoft subscriptions and charges -- you may be paying for something you never agreed to. Don't count on Best Buy Fort Collins to assist you with product follow-up, even if the issue stems from something sold through them. Too much to post. But main complaint, I had a remote start installed here, some female tech said she was "jeep expert". She did my install and the next day Issues started. I was in contact with bestbuy and they ran me around. I went to the Greeley location and he (fixed) the issue ft collins best buy made. He told me that the tech who did my install hacked my wiring up. And that the tech was fired for doing similar jobs like this. Nobody reached out to me about this or admitted their fault. The new tech also messed up my install. And got solder on my paint. I have no remote start. This started in December and its now October. I am so disappointed in them. This is the second time I've gone in wanting to make a $200 + purchase and getting 0 help. My most recent trip I took was for headphones to be able to try them on. I had went to target first and they didn't have demos. After seeing best buy also had them in stock for the same price I decided to buy them there. After 45 minutes of walking around the store for someone to help us, and standing in front of the headphones trying to make eye contact with a worker, and seeing everyone else get help. I decided to leave and get them back at target. This also has happened with an Apple Watch that they also lost a sale on because they have the worst workers here that walk around and don't sell. If I could give 0 star I would I was standing in line was ignored by 3 associates. Finally Ian assisted with my return not only was he rude, he was not helpful at all. He kept cutting me off, requesting a receipt. Mind you I placed this order on line and the package came with no receipt. He said "I understand but still need a receipt" Again I explained and he said I cant do anything with out a bar code. I looked up my account on line and provided one. He then asked about when did I purchased I told him when I purchased, when I received and the date I had to be able to return. In the middle of this he kept cutting me off. ZERO if possible. Been Best Buy's customer and Total Tech member since we were in a small town with no options and we've just rolled with it... till now. Ten years later and we'll take our money and business local. TRIED using our installation/replacement service with Total Tech twice in the last couple months and they BOTH told us they "couldn't" do the installation for completely separate items.... New TV installation: Said they wouldn't install it because our old TV mount was missing a part. Come to find out the part that was missing was ONE washer... $2600+ washer/dryer installation & old appliance removal: the installation crew asked my husband if he could remove the stacked dryer himself?! ((1- my husband DID install the first set himself so it's entirely doable, but 2- we PAY to have installation, 3- if they were acting like the TWO GROWN MEN couldn't remove it themselves, why would ONE man be able to do it easier?? )) the logic here is really something. They then didn't talk to my husband after he said, "no- that's why I hired you?" Went outside, called customer service, pretended we had all these other issues so they couldn't do the installation, and then left, without leaving the appliances we bought...Afterwards, we went directly to Best Buy to see if there is anything they could do, and they just wanted to reschedule an installation-- even thought they wouldn't/"couldn't" install it the first time? And they didn't appreciate the money we spent for a Total Tech membership, saying "your installation was free. You didn't pay for it." We returned the appliances and bought/installed elsewhere! UPDATED: I was able to find the drivers for the motherboard and get everything fixed in 30 minutes. You telling me my motherboard isnt compatible with windows 10 is LAZY and STUPID. 5 total trips, 10 total calls, and yall couldn't fix something as simple as drivers on a motherboard. See full strory below. Geek Squad is trash, do not take anything to them. - I dropped off my computer to Geek squad and was clear with the employee about what needed to be fixed. After 6 days and 6 phone calls they installed windows 10 but didn't install any device drivers. They gave it back to me with the video card completely loose and not working. They forgot to hook up the old hard drive and then they gave it back to me with loads of driver updates and issues. The video card being loose caused the mother board to short and probably cost me a few thousand dollars. They were also suppose to get data before upgrading windows and didn't do that either. I talked to 6 people total through the 11 days they have been working on my computer, nobody realy knew what they were doing and it was clear. This was the worst service I've ever experienced in 20 years of working with computers. It shouldn't take 4 journies to Best Buy and a total of 12 phone calls to not have my computer fixed and its more broken than it was before you did the windows upgrade. Never shopping here again. Buyer beware! We bought a 50" tv for my 91 year old mother who lives in a seniors home. When we got to her home and opened the box we found the screen was shattered. We immediately took the tv back to the store and explained the situation. We were treated rudely and told we must have broken it and the store would neither exchange or refund our purchase. If you buy anything from this crooked business make sure you open the box and thoroughly inspect it before you leave the store. Once you go out the door there is no warranty. Tell everyone you know to stay far away from Bestbuy. On a side note, when I called the customer service number on their website they were appalled and said they would take care of it. When I told them it was the Fort Collins CO store they said I was talking to Canada and they would transfer me to the US customer service. I see from others' reviews that I am not alone in my frustration with this store. And yet, something tells me the management doesn't care. All we can do is keep posting about our bad experiences to warn others what to expect. Our Samsung fridge's ice machine was our primary concern when we called, but we also have an oven door that locks on its own most of the time. When I called to set an appointment for repair, I *explicitly* told the scheduler that we have TWO appliances with issues: please send someone who can look at both. He agreed. We set an appointment for four days from then, with a window of 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m.! I asked if someone would call before that day to narrow down the arrival time. I was assured yes. No one ever called. By 4:30 p.m. on the scheduled day of repair, I called to ask what time the technician would be arriving...obviously, my husband and I took turns staying home *the whole day* waiting for this person to show. The person I spoke to then said "I see that the appointment was scheduled, but *no one was assigned to take it!* Unbelievable. After 30 minutes with her, I asked to speak to a manager. I was transferred and spent 40 minutes on hold. No one ever picked up. I left my name and number with the agent I spoke to, asking for the manager to call me. I never heard from ANYONE, still to this day. We rescheduled the service appointment for the following week...another 7 days with no ice maker. (It had been leaking all over the kitchen floor, so we turned off the water entirely while we waited.) I made sure to say that we also had an oven door that needed to be looked at. I was assured this would happen. Finally, the technician arrived - even early for the appointment! - He was very knowledgeable and was able to repair the ice machine problem. He told us that the service ticket only listed the fridge, not the oven, but he was kind enough to take a few minutes to look at it. He diagnosed the issue, but said our Total Tech membership wouldn't cover the cost of the part or labor to fix it. It might just be time to get a new stove. Lovely. So, almost two weeks after I called for help, more than two hours on the phone with two different representatives who either didn't listen, didn't care, or were incompetent, and a day of waiting at home for a No-Show, we finally have 50% satisfaction for our appliance problems - AND it looks like we will be buying a new stove. I asked the welcome person at the front about who can help with that issue and she then asked if i tried online.... despite me already saying i tried there first. I'm digging Best Buy these days- they are my new Apple and everything else electronics Go to. I love my total tech membership, it makes repairs easy. With as much tech as we buy Total tech is cheaper than purchasing separate Apple care coverage for every device and the techs there are Apple certified. The customer service and sales people there are helpful. I'm remember a challenging time during COVID but who didn't have issues then? I placed an order online with Best Buy that said it would be delivered the following day. It was a time sensitive item that I wanted and when it did not show as shipped the following day, I tried to cancel the order. I was told it was already in the hands of the courier even though the online portal said it was waiting for processing. After two unsuccessful chats, I waited and 12 days later the item was delivered to my door with no notification. When I went to the Fort Collins store to return it, they had difficulty finding the order and then to add salt to a wound, they let me know it was my fault for selecting the shipper, which I did not, I chose Best Buy unfortunately. It is unfortunate that Best Buy has let go of any semblance of customer service. Beware when ordering online - their advertisements are misleading. Unfortunately after having three negative Best Buy customer experiences I am done and will make my electronics purchases elsewhere. Have an error message in device manager and their geek squad is not bright enough to see that. I can see the error but they can't. Maybe they do not know there is a device manager on computers. I didn't catch his name but the gentleman that help me this past Thursday night was amazing. I flew into the Best Buy parking lot because I arrived at 7:04 p.m. Best Buy closes at 7 o'clock. I began to approach the door in hopes that somebody would maybe still help me and surely this top notch did. I needed to exchange my camera and I had driven a long way from Wyoming in the state over to help me out . Without hesitation, He swapped for my new m50...got exactly what I needed..and even askedv me if I needed anything more while still making suggestions on combining my account so I could maximise my membership. The staff here should learn some people skills. My boyfriend and I were looking at a canon camera, test shooting to see quality and a nice person came up to ask if we were okay or needed anything, we replied with no we've done our research thank you. We are both photographers on the side. Before we could really get to looking at settings and what this model had to offer different from our sets at home another person came to quickly ask if we're okay and if we needed anything / finding everything okay. This went on for a short period of just 5-10 minutes we had 6 separate employees ask us if we're okay and finding everything. Honestly it felt pushy, my boyfriend is an introvert and you basically scared us off of having a nice experience shopping for a camera. We know you're there if we have questions, we've been to stores before. Let your customers enjoy making a huge purchase before bombarding them with 6 employees in the camera section asking the same pointed and hasty question. It's like you have a race going to see who can ask everyone in the store twice in under 3 minutes and they get a bonus. Long story short, it be nice if only the camera section employees take care of the camera shoppers and maybe ask something more engaging like what kind of photography do you do? or is it a gift? Wow that model you're looking at is my personal favorite, anything to make you guys seem more like humans and less like robots. read more

The closest Best Buy computer store was in Ft. Collins about 35 minutes away. Howard was super helpful in selecting a HP lap top computers at a great Price. Under $300 with 8 GB RAM. Our grandson who is age 14 can write music with this machine. read more
