Went into the store to get answers and the employees acted like they couldn't care less. No effort to help, no accountability, just a bunch of excuses. This store is fairly large and there's plenty of space inside. Parking lot is large as well, and there's usually plenty of spaces available. As far as customer service, everyone I've interacted with this time and in the past has been pretty helpful and friendly. Today I came in to pick up a Christmas order I placed online. I am writing to share a concerning experience I witnessed at your Best Buy location. I visited the store at opening with the intention of purchasing a television. While there, I observed an employee--who I believe was named Paul--interacting with a group of teenagers and younger customers in a manner that I found highly unprofessional and inappropriate. The individuals in line were calm and were simply asking basic questions regarding store policies and product availability, specifically related to Pokémon card purchases. There was zero hostility from the customers waiting patiently. However, the employee responded with hostility, using foul language and making belittling remarks. At one point, he told customers, "If you don't like it, you can F-word-ing leave," and stated that he would "run the store" as he saw fit. The tone and language used were disrespectful, especially considering there were minors present. How he and other associates were literally laughing at people waiting in line was very concerning. This interaction was disappointing to witness and ultimately influenced my decision to take my business elsewhere. I was genuinely surprised that such behavior would occur in a customer service environment. I hope this matter is taken seriously and addressed appropriately to ensure a more respectful and professional experience for all customers moving forward. This Best Buy location is located near the corner of Imperial and Harbor. I have passed by this Best Buy location countless times over the years, but never stopped by until a week ago. Usually the City of Industry location is my go-to but they did not have an item for "pick up" so Fullerton it is, and convenient since I am in the area often. Best Buy locations have changed over the years, from fully stocked shelves and items to now more sparse big box locations, mostly used as a warehouse. I still love visiting a box store because there are humans to interact with and it is easier to bring in electronics for Geek Squad, pick up an item, or return an item. Countless times throughout the decades, Best Buy has literally "saved" me, from cell phones that stopped working (ordered a phone for pick-up the next day from a location at a great deal), electronic purchases (and viewing items in-person), Geek Squad questions (for both Android and Apple phones) and laptops, and many more. This time, as a first time visit at this location, I placed an item for pick-up and it was ready the next morning. Perfect in line with my schedule the next day. I went directly to the pick-up counter, showed them my barcode, and picked up my order. I was in and out within a few minutes. We also love their return window, because one needs to try electronics before being able to decide if it works for them. After trying out the electronic for a few days, we knew it was not for us. I returned the following week and it was easy peasy to return the item. There are plenty of parking spots in front of the store. I did not walk into the store, besides the counters at the front, but it looked fully stocked from the entrance. Overall, a great experience and friendly employees. read more

Very difficult to get service. After an extensive visit to purchase a new laptop, was sold on getting the warranty for it. What they don't tell you is if you need to use the warranty they make it nearly impossible to use it. Sending my daughter away telling her to simply restart the computer. After dismissing my daughter three times I went there personally and had to insist I had a warranty to get service. It is obvios the male behind the counter simply didn't want to work. The staff was very friendly when we got there. It's busy around Black Friday. So it was nice to have people in a good mood when visiting. When we checked out the stock online it matched what was in store, which is always the biggest thing because you wanna be able to pick up what the app is telling you. I should've known better when I bought the washer and dryer with Best Buy's "Geek Squad Protection." But I thought, hey, peace of mind is worth a few extra bucks. Spoiler alert: it's not. When my washer broke, I called in my coverage. A technician came out, and the whole "inspection" lasted less than the time it takes to microwave popcorn. He barely crossed the threshold, looked around, and announced: "Sorry, bug infestation. Denied." Excuse me, what? I pay for monthly pest control. My home is as bug-free as a NASA lab. But apparently, Geek Squad is trained in entomology, clairvoyance, and Olympic sprinting, because this guy vanished faster than Houdini. The best part? No photos. No evidence. No attempt to actually look at the washer. Just a blanket denial with a story that could've been written by a bored intern. So here's my free advice: skip Best Buy's warranty circus. If you actually want a plan that covers your appliance, go with the manufacturer's warranty. At least they don't rely on ghost bugs to dodge their responsibilities. I bought a range from the Culver City Best Buy store a week ago, the salesperson was great (initially) but his business card with two phone numbers are useless, right to voicemail. I called the CC store and waited for 30 mins, still nothing so drove to the Fullerton store while waiting. There was Ms. Maria, she was so helpful and pleasant and added installation for me (that's why I was calling CC), rescheduled delivery for me, etc. She didn't care it was a CC store sale, she gave me good advice too. If you wait ten minutes, you will be transferred to the foreign call center. Like I said, go ahead and try it. Neither the foreign call center nor the online chat people could tell me anything other than "your order is being prepared" and will be delivered today. The web page, on the other hand, says it's NOT available for same-day delivery, and they'll get around to shipping the order in a day or two. Best Buy sold our school's club a defective Square reader and refused a return because we tried to return it on day 18 after our purchase. Apparently they refuse refunds after 15 days. Don't bother with them, they steal money from children. We will stick to Amazon. I usually don't purchase from Best Buy but when I do I have no issues from the one in Cerritos. I have only ever had problems with the one in Fullerton. In all fairness, I've purchased multiple TVs, computers and even a treadmill from this location and never had an issue, however I feel that the level of service and competency may have recently changed and I don't want anyone else to experience what I did because it was unnecessary. I was looking for an inexpensive Samsung TV and decided on the CU7000. It was a great price, had great reviews and it was in stock. I purchased it online, then drove over to pick it up once it was ready like normal. However, when the guy brings the tv out, I noticed the box was already opened and resealed with tape. I asked the guy why it was open as he's shoving it into my mini van and his response was "We had to open it to inspect it but it's never been owned." I say ok and drive away but the more I think about his very precise words, the more it bothered me. So it was a demo or display model? Maybe another customer requested to see one out of the box and they didn't have it on display? Maybe it had been owned and he's lying because it sure looked like the same tape on the box that they use for returns. Minutes later, I bring the tv back to exchange it for an unopened model. After all, they essentially sold me an "open box" unit and if I was going to take it, there would normally be a cost savings which they did not provide. When I bring the tv back into the store and explain what happened, the staff had a very weird vibe. I would explain it as nervous and defensive. Almost as if they knew why this was done but didn't want to say? The girl who greets me sends me to a cashier to process the return but this girl seems upset that she had to process the exchange. She's visibly shaken by the request to exchange the tv and needs assistance from another rep? Maybe she was just new but she rarely spoke directly to me and didn't smile at all as if I was bothering her. She explained to the rep who came to assist that I was exchanging the tv because it was already open and he responded directly to me that "It was NEW!" Seems he had some sort of knowledge about the situation but didn't offer it to me if he Indeed did know why I was sold an open tv at full price. They set the tv down and I watched as they took everything out of the box and visually inspected it...again. They often spoke around me and rarely to me. After they were satisfied that all the two pieces were there, I finally got my new tv and left after a duration of about 2 hours out of my day. Not sure why they felt entitled to give that open tv to me but they need to understand no one is going to accept their word that it was new nor should they have to. If the warranty comes into play down the road the they ask if you bought it new or used how do I know it wasn't already flagged in their system as being used? There was no reason for me to accept the risk without a discount but they never offered it. If you purchase items from this location please be wary of any items that they felt they need to open before giving to you! read more

The one thing I absolutely abhor about getting old these days, is the disdain that I receive from Geek Squad staff when I come over for assistance for my devices - and mind you, I've been a member of their "Total Rewards" program for nearly 10 years. That's the reality one comes to expect when older customers come in contact with Gen Z (and younger) individuals. The latter are dismissive and condescending of older customers. The reception I received from THAT male employee with a shock of dyed red(?) hair on 9/27 when I was late by a mere 8 minutes for my scheduled 2 pm appointment was no different. "Well, since you're late, you're considered a walk-in and have to wait", man-with-the-dyed-hair said imperiously. No welcome. No courtesy whatsoever. The day was saved though by the staff who helped me, Josephine! She was patient, courteous, and actually taught me a few tips on how to make my laptop run smoother! DONT BUY IT. GEEK SQUAD PROTECTION RIP OFF! My refrigerator needs to be repaired, and they are not doing it. I paid for a 5-year warranty. They had been to my house seven times already to repair it, and they failed. The ice maker leaks water, freezes the ice, and stops making ice, and makes a mess inside the refrigerator. The Geek Squad and customer service are saying that the icemaker is an accessory, and they will not replace refrigerator but replace parts. They have already replaced parts three times and have the same problem. The last tech Paul, who was rude, replaced parts two weeks ago but left me without ice, water only. I was told by customer service three times that the supervisor will call me, and they have not. Their policy states ice makers are not covered, but it does not say refrigerator ice makers, it looks like they are standalone ice makers. But my icemaker leaks water and floods my refrigerator. Nobody wants to help me. The last tech that was here last week is going to order new parts for ice makers. I am still waiting for a call back. I need my water and ice to work properly for medical reasons and they do not care. They told me that the ice maker was not an essential part of refrigerator, and they will just come out every month to replace parts that do not work until my warranty expires in Feb 2026. I am not happy, and I must buy ice for a sick loved one that needs ice every day. The sales rep told me when I bought the warranty that if they cannot repair the refrigerator after three times, they would replace it. He did not say if icemakers and water filter that is built in are broken more than three times, they will not replace it. I would have bought my refrigerator somewhere else. Came here to look for refrigerators. The customer service was fine, but it felt a little too much of a sales approach and the sales person stuck to us the entire time we were looking. Makes me wonder if they're on commission. Anyway, ended up purchasing a refrigerator that cost over $2k. They try to sell you on additional warranties and club memberships etc.. The charge to haul away or move the current fridge to a different location in the house was $29. We set up a delivery date for the soonest they had, which was about a week later between 7-1pm. Before we left the store, they changed the delivery window to 2-6pm. I received an email the day prior that confirmed they would be coming the next day. They gave instructions to clean the area, make a pathway (which means moving furniture to clear a pathway), and of course to clear the items out of the current fridge they will be hauling away. The fridge was for my mom so I gave her instructions on what she needed to do. The day of delivery- (which NEVER happened). My 81 year old mom had to clear a pathway to the kitchen and remove EVERYTHING out of the fridge as she waited ALL DAY long for delivery people that NEVER came. She called me at 5:50pm asking me what to do as her food had thawed, things were on their way to spoiling, and nobody called. I told her to just wait, as the 4 hour window had not been reached and they may be running late. In the meantime from my office, I tried calling Best Buy and was on hold from an automated system for 90 minutes before I had to hang up. I also tried calling the Fullerton store but they said they weren't accepting phone calls! WTF?? 9pm came and my mom ended up having to put everything back into the fridge and rearrange furniture and prepare my sick dad for bed!! Soo infuriating that NOBODY even called and there was NO CONSIDERATION as to what people have to go through to prepare for a delivery of a fridge. Simple phone call or email to tell us of any changes. And THAT could not even be done! To make matters worse, I received two emails later that night 9:45pm and 1130pm telling me I needed to schedule an appointment for my delivery! A happy go Frikin lucky sounding email that says my order requires an appt! Well what happened to the one that was scheduled for that day!!!?? I went in to show the manager, Joshua, an iPad that I picked up by curbside pick up that when we opened was all dented in and the back screen was cracked so it was completely useless. We had purchased it as a gift for my 80-year old mother. Not only would he not replace it or give me a credit, he proceeded to tell me that it was unbelievable that she just opened it and that I shouldn't have accepted the box that they gave me. We bought it in December but gave it to her on her birthday in January, the deals were good in December and we wanted to make sure it wasn't sold out . My mom has been crying because she now has a useless iPad and Joshua needs to learn how to treat customers instead of calling them a liar, when it was them that made the mistake and sold us a damaged product. Why you should buy a tv from Best Buy and NOT Walmart.... Walmart: Said TV will be delivered on Wed 7/24 between 3 pm and 7 pm. TV never showed, was never called or emailed regarding the delay. Got a call Thursday afternoon saying tv will be delivered on Friday July 26. TV showed up and the box was badly damaged so I refused the delivery. (Pictures below). Still waiting for my refund. Best Buy: Purchased on August 1, told tv will be delivered on Aug 3 between 11 am and 3 pm. TV arrived Aug 3 at 10 am. Box completely intact. Delivery crew (Martin) were quick and professional.
