Today we removed it from the box only to discover the screen was cracked. The television is non operational. We took the television to the store explaining our situation and were told there was nothing they could do. Policy disallowed them to correct the situation. My mistake was believing Best Buy would deliver me an operational television. Never did I think I had to check it for damage. I was wrong and now learned an expensive lesson. I purchased an item that was not available in any local stores so I had to wait until it got delivered from your warehouse. After waiting a week, the order finally arrived and it was THE WRONG ITEM! Being that this is for a surprise birthday party that is on January 10, I took the wrong item to my local Best Buy in Goodyear AZ just to find out that no stores in Arizona has these speakers and I would have to either flat out return it, get a refund to my Mastercard that will take 7 business days for it to appear back on my card or place the same order again. I actually placed the same order again only this time I had to pay additional fees! Best Buy policy states that you would cover any reasonable fees associated with a return especially if it's no fault of the customer. Everytime i go the employees are chit chatting with eachother which is perfectly fine but no help is ever offered and they'll just watch you look lost. When you do ask for help it's like the biggest inconvenience ever for them literally dragging their feet and rolling their eyes. When I first walked in, I went into the store and spoke to one of the guys that were sitting at the front desk. A question he immediately ignored me and sent straight to the registers without even letting me finish my question that I wanted to ask. They were really rude. Also the four gentleman that came out to deliver the TV to my vehicle. We're also rude and plain jokes that they were going to break the TV and not care because it would be on myself if it breaks on the way home. I had to stay outside my vehicle to make sure that they put the TV in the right way. I don't recommend having them help you out to insert any electronic TVs or anything else that needs more hands-on to load up in your vehicle, these workers that they have are not reliable and they are very rude, Managers needs to fix that. read more

I am an elderly woman. The one thing I have a modicum of control over in my life is laundry. I have seven grandchildren whom live with me so there is a lot of laundry! The children are frm age 5 months to 20. The unthinkable happened, the washer started sounding like a low flying aircraft. Time to call Best Buy where I purchased this item. All was going fine. The technician came and ran a diagnostic for like 125.00. The total fix will be over 700.00. So, he ordered the part and gave me a two week return date. During those two weeks, life happens. I am being tested for thyroid cancer, currently waiting on results. My left hand is in a brace as well as some bone literally moved and they can't do surgery until thyroid issue is addressed. So, my tension is a bit high. What happened next made my anxiety go into overload. I get a call the morning of my appointment that the part arrived but it's cracked. He claims the part arrived last night, March 12th. He ordered the part February 28th. I personally think the part came in sooner but I could be wrong. My question was why wait until the morning of the appointment, after I worked in that laundry room with ONE hand to make more room for the repair per the technician??????? The technician claimed it was out of his control. Best Buy claims they did everything possible. If they did EVERYTHING possible, I wouldn't be writing this. Possible solutions? 1. Send me a washer to use until the fix is made. 2. Physically go and pick up the part to complete repair. 3. Do something besides saying I'm sorry. That won't help with laundry for 7 children....... 4. Be proactive. Check parts before appointment day. None of these suggestions were made to solve my problem. Only, we made an appointment for next week. WAIT! It took 14 days for the first part to arrive. Why is it suddenly a 7 day wait instead of 14?????? Maybe I'm stupid. I know I am old. I feel totally taken advantage of. This is not a way to treat anyone. At this point I don't know what to do. My main point is that you basically promised the part would be here, but it's not. Basic business but businesses just don't care like they used to. Next week, I will be writing the Consumer General, BBB and trade commissions if not resolved. My husband came here to inquire about having a car stereo installed which is why we came in. While the rep wasn't particularly helpful, he wasn't rude either. They refused to answer questions about the stereo over the phone and insisted we needed an appointment. Ironically, a woman at the "Customer Service" registers couldn't help me and has no understanding of what "Customer Service" is. She was short, Latina, and had long curly hair. She was very rude and did not even ask any of her coworkers to look into this with her. She told me I would have to pay full price for that specific item. I declined and said "I'll just come back to speak to another employee that would help me" and chose to ignore what I said and assisted me in purchasing another item I bought (The only display of customer service she had in her). Right after my encounter with her, I sought help from a woman that stood at the table between the two entrance doors. I asked her for assistance and her response to my situation was very un-customer service-like, once again. But at least she called for assistance by her colleagues. Luckily, I was helped by a kind man named "Stephan" who came to my rescue! He was truly understanding and went out of his way for me. Best Buy, as a corporation, is not at all customer centric. When you call what you think is your local store, you get a centralized U.S. call center which is totally not helpful. They don't open until 11 am, also not customer friendly. My experience at the Best Buy closest to me was not at all customer friendly. I purchased a Samsung smart tv on 12/10/2021. On 2/4/2022 I called their phone number and got the call center so I drove to the local Best Buy to ask about returning the tv. The tv started looping ads sporadically, i.e. an ad would start then freeze. A few seconds later the ad would start again, on and on. I had to turn the tv off and on again to stop this. Also, the sound would randomly go off. I was told that the tv was not eligible for a return and refund after 1/18/2022! How is that legal when only 39 days had passed since I purchased the tv? If I could give a 0, I would. I don't believe the higher reviews are actual buyers. I bought a Total Tech membership for one year. It was renewed on my Citibank Best Buy card the next year, without an email or written notice to me. I only found out about the automatic renewal when I bought a router. At the Best Buy Goodyear store, I asked for refund of the Total Tech membership that I did not even know I had. They said I had to dispute with Citicard. That was the biggest lie, and led me down a 12 month wild goose chase. I disputed with Citicard, who told me I could only get refund by cancelling my card. I cancelled the Citicard but never got the Total tech $199 charge refunded. I called and Citicorp 5 times and did written dispute of this charge. Last November, after 8 months they finally told me that only Best Buy can refund the charge. I spoke to Best Buy, most recently operator MJ, who said that it was too late to get either a reund or an additional year of Total Tech at no charge. It may be useful if you need it, but to spend $199 and never even know you have it or use it, it is a terrible value. And Best Buy has unethical selling/advertising practices. If you can just sell to people who need the service and not automatically charge people who do not need the service, you would have many more customers. The SOP for Best Buy is to tell you that you have to call somebody else (Best Buy store, 800 number, Citibank Best Buy Card, Geek Squad directly, dispute with credit card) until it is too late to get either a refund or extension of the Total Tech service. read more

I went over here this morning with my coworker to see if we could purchase one of those HP Touchpads for $99. I am planning on getting the Ipad 2 anyway, but I thought I would give the HP touch pad I try. The dude at the store started barking at everybody and threatened not to sell any touch pads if we do not form a line correctly even though we were. Totally unprofessional. He also claimed they only had 3 left. We drove all the way from the airport to Goodyear because the agent that we spoke to on the phone said they had plenty of them. What a waste of gasoline! When we arrived there, the guy working the door informed us that they only had 3 left. However, we saw that they were letting some people in before opening and leaving with a bag of touch pads. Obviously they were probably letting their friends in to buy them first, so they can resell them on craigslist at a higher price. We left without even waiting in line, and I am glad we made the right decision. After reading the online reviews, I am glad I did not get an HP Touchpad. I feel sorry for the fools that bought one because there's really not much you can do with it.. (LMAO) 85% of Hp Touchpad applications are paid versions. You cannot even get a free calculator or dictionary. Its front camera is not able to take picture either. What a joke! It is obviously poorly designed Touch pad, and even if I see one on craigslist, I would never buy one. I am getting an Ipad 2 next week in Portland. Went to this joint and bought a pair of busted Jabra earbuds. I didn't buy their guarantee plan and the nightmare began. If you want to feel ignored completely by the manager wearing a black geeksquad shirt, this is the perfect place to accommodate that. This dude was 7.6 feet away from me and would not talk to me, instead he sent the volunteer cashier right out of high school to negotiate why I just blew $100 dollars. She was good, she would not let up and kept walking back and forth from the worthless manager 7.5 feet away and back to me. They train these folks to act like you don't exist at such a short distance once they know you don't buy their pesky guarantee plan. It's a crap shoot if you do not purchase their plan and they will get away with selling broken or defective devices. So what a worthless and unprofessional business model to function with. You will not know if the electronics you bought will come off defective and after 15 days they won't even have the decency to recognize your existence at 7.5 away. All of the whispering back and forth from manager to high school volunteer made things worse, felt like one of those scammer dealerships you buy a car from, you ask for a lower price on the car and they walk over to the manager and do a lot of whispering before telling you they can't help you with your offer. We ordered a refrigerator in an emergency since ours is failing. Picked one out, paid for it, paid for installation, will be installed next Tuesday, great. I really like this location. We never have trouble getting help. When we bought our new phones last year they were helpful and again when I upgraded this year. My only issue with the mobile department is I wish they had live phones not just shells. We've been here a lot, we also purchased a new desktop at this location this year.
