WARNING! DO NOT PURCHASE EXTENDED WARRANTY CONTRACT FROM SPENCER'S TV & APPLIANCE! In 2017, we bought a 5-year extended warranty contract from Spencer's TV & Appliance when we purchase a refrigerator, stove, washer and dryer, paying $600. The refrigerator stopped cooling on Tuesday. I retrieved the paperwork for the appliance and remembered about the warranty. We called Spencer's. They looked up the invoice to confirm the warranty purchase. They then said they would call the warranty service company with our information. They also gave us the name/phone of the company - Centurion Service Corporation. We called Centurion Tuesday (late afternoon) and left a message. We got a call back from them on Wednesday (late morning). They said they needed to call GE Repair to set up an appointment. Then asked if we wanted to hold or get a call back. We said we would hold. 20 minutes later, we were hung up on. We waited all day for a call back to no avail. During that time we called Centurion and left messages 5 times. Finally, Thursday, after trying to get Centurion on the phone, at 9:30 am we decided to call another company, Dynamic Appliance Repair, to look at the fridge. Although they were booked solid for the day, they promised to have a technician to us between 11 and 2. The gentleman, Scott, showed up at our door at 11:30 am (with the needed parts). He expertly fixed our fridge (he knew what the problem was just from our description on the phone) and was gone by 12:00 noon. Turns out Scott is the owner of Dynamic Appliance Repair, who decided that because his other techs were booked, he took our call himself. That is customer service! While Scott was still here, Centurion called (big mistake!). They said that they have verified that we did in fact have an extended warranty. Excuse me? That was verified 4 days ago by the store! Then Centurion proudly told us they could have a technician to us by next Wednesday - 6 days out! OMG! They were told that we had already called someone else, and that the refrigerator was being worked on. We then called Spencer's. Told them what had been happening, and that we wanted a refund of our $600 because they breached our contract. They started in with this song and dance that the contract would be prorated ... blah, blah, blah. Moral of the story? Spencer's extended warranty is a fraud. Centurion Service is a sham. Spencers is the best; we won't buy appliances anywhere else. We just replaced our 15 yo GE refrigerator (also purchased at Spencers in 2006) with a new GE Profile. The time spent in store to purchase was efficient with knowledgeable staff that helped make our decision easier during the current manufacturing shortages. Our salesman, Chuck, created a no pressure setting; he was fully attentive to our questions, while also giving us space to discuss. My kids even mentioned how awesome Chuck was! He was able to schedule delivery within a few days, giving us peace of mind that their drivers would be able to remove doors in order to fit into the narrow space in our kitchen. The delivery team arrived 30 mins before the two hour window. There were three professional movers that removed our old unit with ease, even taking our front door off to make it fit. The most impressive part was watching them use straps to lift the new fridge into that narrow space -- by hand! They hooked everything up, removed all the plastic, tested the water, and gave me basic setup details needed for initial use. I am so thankful Spencers is available in my area, because after reading so many nightmare delivery stories from big box stores, I was a little concerned. All said and done, I have zero complaints and an extended warranty. 5 star service all around! Edit: I clicked through to read a few existing reviews and was shocked at how many people are blaming Spencers for manufacturing issues. My 15 yo beast lost the ice maker function soon after purchase. The repair tech told us we would need to replace the mother board, which we never did. We now have an ice maker for the first time in over 10 yrs, and I never once blamed Spencers! Edit: I just called Chuck to make a request on the sale price of the fridge we purchased a few weeks ago, and although he was not able to fulfill my request completely -- he went above and beyond to help me feel taken care of. WE purchased our Refrigerator, Washer, Dryer, and a bed from Spencers upon getting keys to our new house. Just prior to moving-in to our new build, we were told the refrigerator was not included. Spencer stepped up and guaranteed delivery so the day we were moving in, they delivered everything. So convenient. Even more so this past week our new refrigerator (now 5 months old) had some manufacturing issues and we are still getting the run around from Manufacturer (Frigidaire Service) and long delays on CPU Boards (4 months and counting). Spencers offered us a loaner (at know cost!) until Frigidaire could fix or replace and would deliver the next day! We ended up buying a second refrigerator for our garage as it was planned. And you guessed it, we bought it from Spencers who again delivered the next day. I will never buy another appliance from another vendor. Spencers prices are good and at least comparable, but their friendliness and Customer Service is second to none!! A now life long customer!! read more

In this review, I am expressing my dissatisfaction with my recent experience at Spencer's TV and Appliances in Litchfield and Goodyear. I had ordered a dishwasher with a guarantee of delivery on Saturday, four days away. However, on Saturday, I received no information or the dishwasher. Upon visiting the store, I was informed that the store does not have an obligation to provide advance notice of any changes to orders. Additionally, the store was reportedly understaffed, and I encountered a lack of productivity from the staff. When I attempted to cancel my order due to the store's deception, the staff member, Matt Schwirian, responded with laughter and indifference. Based on this experience, I strongly advise against shopping at Spencer's TV and Appliances, particularly at the Goodyear location. The poor customer service and lack of accountability make it an unpleasant experience. I hope this review serves as a deterrent to others who may be considering shopping at this establishment. read more

My 5 year old refrigerator stopped working. I called a repairman and because if the pandemic it could be 6 weeks or more to get parts. I went to Spencer's as we have purchased appliances from them for the past 15 years. The salesman told us they only show what is currently in stock. Again, due to the pandemic. Prices were great as I had researched them on line. We were able to get a new fridge at a great price. I asked about delivery asap. The soonest we could get was 4 days,again because of pandemic. I received a text the morning of as well as a call. Our refrigerator arrived on time and was installed. The driver and his helper were pleasant, and explained all the buttons and how to use the ice, water, etc. They were great and very efficient. My refrigerator is now cooling and ready to go. Spencer's is wonderful and I would recommend them to everyone. Their salespeople, service, delivery and prices are top notch. read more

I didn't know what I was going to do. My refrigerator / freezer had gone out I mean totally not working right. I am a single parent of 3 boys. So you know that my refrigerator/freezer was full of food. I went to Spencers and asked for help! Eric was so helpful. I told him what I needed he showed several options. I picked out a Refrigerator/freezer that will work for me and my boys. I was so excited when Eric said that they could deliver it on Monday. This was Saturday when I was at Spencers. Monday afternoon the refrigerator/freezer was delivered and set up. I am happy to say that I didn't loose and food. The new refrigerator/freezer looks great in our kitchen and is working great! Our refrigerator was slowly dying and we did need a replacement. We were meet by Tesah Boston at Spensers. and let her know that we were just shopping around at the moment. She was very knowledgeable and friendly and showed us the models that would meet our needs. She provided us with materials about The refrigerator that we were interested in. She did not try to pressure or close us and just provided very good information and her business card. We reviewed the refrigerator that we were interested in. we called ahead to make sure she was on duty and went back in the once more. Still no pressure. The price that Spencer had was competitive and it seemed a no-brainer not to purchase it through them. it was in stock and delivered two days later. Easy no pressure shopping experience.  Large store with a wide selection of appliances and brands.  When shopping online versus in-store they'll be more choices and features depending on model. If you don't see what you want in-store they can pull up the information online.  Great prices and they are willing to do price match on their competitors.  Doing research is important when buying an electric versus gas stove.  But Spencers will have what your looking for and will have easy delivery and installation options available.  We were satisfied with our purchase, communication, and delivery/installation and would recommend them over the big box hardware chains any day of the week. read more

Our rental's oven went out right before Christmas and the rental agency put a call into Spencer's. Roger called and said it wouldnt be until after Christmas the oven would come. I was almost in tears because we are hosting Christmas for over 20 people and felt quite defeated. I asked Roger to be put on a cancellation list, knowing full well it was very highly unlikely and Roger confirmed, chances were slim but he would keep an eye out. Well, couple hours later, he calls back and says "I had a cancellation!!! can you do tomorrow?" this was my Christmas miracle, I needed it! I was given great advice from Todd at Spencer's in Goodyear, AZ. He made my choice so easy with his excellent advice. This is the 2nd appliance I've purchased thru Todd in the last six weeks. Both purchases were easy And I couldn't be happier with my salesperson. I highly recommend Todd. My delivery men today were the same two men that brought my gas stove last month and I was so pleased to see these nice guys again. They sure are excellent at their job. We were able to order our new washer and dryer from Spencer's Goodyear, AZ and leave it with them until our new home was completed. When we were ready to take delivery, we were able to name the date and it was delivered. Two young men showed up and did a fantastic job with delivery and set up. We were even given an upgrade in color because the white we ordered were out in the warehouse. Not sure how that happened, but I'm glad it did. Great prices and great service at Spencer's. Unlike most stores, Spencer's is able to get appliances in without making you wait crazy amounts of time. Also, the prices are very competitive. read more

My parents have nothing but awesome things to say about Spencer's so we went there when our refrigerator died. We were not diassapointed. Chris helped us and knew everything about every appliance. We told him our price point and he didnt pressure us into a more costly unit. We were in and out of there in less than 45 minutes. When he said the earliest delivery was 3 days away he told us he would keep checking for last minute openings and gave us his cellphone number if we needed to reach him w questions. The sales man, Well they are sales men, not always the most ethical people if you know what I mean. I purchased a scratch and dent, which was within my budget. But the Deliver Drivers, WOW! World Class service from those two gentlemen. Not only were they both professional, courteous and friendly, they really made my day! They went above and beyond to point out a dent that I didn't notice in the showroom, made sure that the appliance worked properly and that the dent would not cause me any trouble. I can't say enough good things about working with Spencer's. We bought 6 new appliances for our remodel and from the time that we started working with them all went well. Our salesman was helped us so much in picking the appliances out, always answered our questions and they day they were delivered the 2 young men that installed them were kind, and did it in a very timely manner. The frdige turned out that it didn't fit in our space so they kindly took it back until we could go get another one that will fit.
