Things I love at Costco: *Buying quality goods in bulk that do not expire like toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates, batteries, etc. *Cheap gas *Sampling products from vendors *Food court $1.50 hot dog and a soda, or taking their chicken house salad to go for a quick meal. Also love their ice cream! *Sack of avocados - great quality that don't all ripen at the same time. My husband has been directed to buy a sack every time he goes. *Produce we eat in bulk like cherry tomatoes, blueberries, gallons of Milk, eggs *Fun snack items that we indulge in like Heavenly Hunks, chocolate covered almonds, mixed nuts, and pistachios. *We love getting the salmon here, sushi to go, oh the cheese (brie, camembert, miniature slices for crackers, wafer crackers, etc. It's hard to leave here without spending more than $100 each time, so go in with your best will power. You could literally leave here with the kitchen sink (Khoeler makes a great one you can get here. LOL!) Even if you aren't a member, you can visit the Food Court and eat something on the menu. Otherwise you will need a membership card or a friend with one. It's a small $75 annual price to pay for access to solid, quality goods. read more

The appliance was sold with what was understood to be a 2-year manufacturer warranty. Slightly over one year after installation in a newly built home, I discovered water damage (spots on the wall and flooring) behind the unit, indicating a leak. A technician dispatched through Whirlpool evaluated the issue and attributed it to installation concerns, specifically citing low-quality hoses/connectors. He made a temporary adjustment to the setup but clearly indicated it was not a permanent solution. No proper repair or replacement was completed at that time, despite the unit still being under warranty. On February 20th, the unit became non-functional in that it powered on but would not start or run any cycles. Upon contacting Costco for service: * The initial service appointment was missed (no-show) * A rescheduled visit took place afterward * During this time, I also received notice from Whirlpool stating the warranty had expired after one year, which contradicts the 2-year coverage presented at purchase During the follow-up visit, the same technician was able to turn the machine on but again stated there was no issue with the unit itself, attributing concerns to external factors such as household water pressure. To verify this, I contacted my water provider, who tested the system and confirmed that water pressure levels are within normal range. This matter was escalated to Costco; however, as of today (March 20), I have only been informed that they are awaiting further response from Whirlpool, with no defined timeline or resolution. I really enjoy the optometry department and glasses selection at this location. Like all Costcos, they have a really good selection of quality bulk items. The food court has reopened after being closed for remodeling over the summer. My only complaint since 2020: BRING BACK THE COSTCO COMBO PIZZA! PLEASSSE!!! Plenty of parking here on two sides of the warehouse with gas station located in front of entrance, near Waddell. Pharmacy located inside near optometrists. They scan your card bar code or app QR code upon entry now, as with other Costcos, instead of visual confirmation of membership card. They have a Christmas tree trailer parked close to Waddell before Christmas. Purchase the tree inside Costco then take receipt to trailer to pick out your tree. Always great prices. The upgraded membership is worth it since you get a kickback check each February. They have the best produce bar none over any store out there. From furniture, to prepared foods and desserts, to jewelry - they have it all. Have your Costco card ready to scan and match your photo when you arrive and pay. The only downside is a product you love may only be there briefly so if you love something, get extras. Also, I wish they had more cashiers available. It can get busy and the lines can get long while multiple checkstands are not being used. Even if you're a small family of 2, the toilet paper alone is a fraction of the cost of a regular store. read more

Good ol' Costco..... This was my first time at this location. The gas line was long as normal but the wait was not bad at all. Then I went into the store to purchase my items and I totally forgot about the samples because I was focused and mannn those sample people were swarmed at every station. I think I only got 2 samples today and it was because they had just set it out as I walked up. It was truly busy. The only sucky thing about my visit , now this is my opinion not anyone else's. On the way out, the receipt checker was an older gentleman with a knee brace very nice . So nice and CHATTY that HE held up the line to get out. That was annoying . He reminisced about a baby being born and going through the different stages of teething and all kinds of stuff that took a little too long for my taste. A 2-3 minute chat feels like 10-20 minutes when you can't leave the store without them reviewing the receipt. So from my observation , for every 6-7 receipts the other person at the door checked , the older guy checked 1. Because of the unnecessary chit chat. I know because I counted and as I was going to jump lines, an entire slew of people were already in line before I could. I think it was sweet he wanted to chit chat with people on the way out , it just doesn't makes sense when you're our exit ticket. Other than that, quick and easy visit. read more

Beware of the pharmacy at Costco one of the pharmacist tech screwed up my medication and she had canceled the medication and I had switched to a different pain management and she called the other pain management that I had canceled and no longer seeing them because they have not been helping me at all so I started going to a different pain management and when she did that she canceled all of my pain medication, including my upcoming MRI with Core Institute and she did not get the medication through and she kept on canceling the medication that I'm supposed to have for the MRI from that delay. I had to cancel that which case was very important and I end up in the hospital finding out 24 hours later that I have a infection in the tailbone that has now destroyed all of my nerves in my left and right legs I have no more feeling and probably what they have told me that I will probably won't be able to walk again. This will be reported to Medicare and Medicaid and also through my attorney for this screwup that they haven't done at the pharmacy and surprise Arizona on Waddell Road!!!! I will be canceling my Costco membership. I will never go to them. My mom and I are pulling our medication out of Costco and we are going to go to a different pharmacy. I am giving everyone heads up be aware of who you work with in the pharmacy. read more

Monday, April 6, shopping late afternoon The start of their ad, so a busy day. gentleman, no name tag on African-American thin build, wearing blue slack, blue shirt, and odd pointed shoes. placing out a pallet of bottled water after he had parked the pallet. I asked him, our you out of Fiji water by the case? He didn't even look up, at me and said "you see it on the floor " we're out"" stern direct and very rude and unprofessional. I know it was a busy day however I didn't ask 20 any questions. Didn't ask for the world, did not ask a hard question, just asked a simple question about where you out of Fiji water By the case. Is that what we can expect from Costco these days,? I would hope not as I was turning my car around to pick up a case of the regular water not a big deal. All I heard him mumble was all I wanna do is go on a 15 minute break I deserve a 15 minute break. As far as Costco's go, this one is the Costcoiest... I come here around once a week, they do a great job managing their free samples and keep the store very clean. It is not hard to find an employee if you need some assistance and it is almost always with a smile. My son accidentally dropped a costco chicken pot pie(which is amazing may I add) and the lady in the meat cutting area was very patient and helped us clean it up and made sure my son wasn't too embarrassed. Overall they keep a good inventory of items and I will continue to keep coming back here. Great job to the management team here. read more

I really enkoy coming here for decore, yard and Chridtmas gifts. Lots of unique items always changing. Avocado oil and some of their meats are really nice. We actually enjoy their steaks a lot. Always busy, but we still manage to get in and out in a timely manner even when the lines are long. Such friendly helpful employees. They only take Visa cards. Tire Center: Love their prices and convenience, but we can do without the attitude. I'm a firm believer in, if you don't like your job, get a new one. Don't take it it out on me. Twice now we've been blamed for being late when in reality, we've called to reschedule. Both times were at least 24 hours in advance and both times we were told it was noted. Both times it was not and then we were blamed for being late. Also, they confirm our number in the system but when they print out the paperwork, our number is incorrect. Then when they call us at the wrong number snd we don't answer, it's our fault. Lesson learned: have them print the paperwork before we walk away prior to service and check the number. Bottom line: quit blaming the customer for the problems your people or system create. Also, lose the attitude when blaming us. It's hard to maintain composure and be nice when you're being blamed for something you didn't do. Do better. read more

This was the closest Costco for my family for a couple of years. It has gotten exponentially more busy. We try to go on Monday in the mid to late mornings and even then it is crazy busy. I haven't been there on a weekend so I can't speak to the craziness then. (I know, it's Costco... so I understand it gets busy). Overall, the store is set up very well - all departments are well marked. The one thing I don't like is the rotation of goods the store (I'm assuming the company) has. One week a product could be near the freezers, another week along the wall on the other side of the freezers, the next week up near the front and the registers. These are normal products (nothing seasonal) and that part is confusing. I get why they do this - make room for other items and get you to walk around the store more, but for those of us that just want to go in and grab our items quickly, it kinda blows. read more

Optical Department in Costco Surprise AZ. attitude, Attitude, ATTITUDE! The optical department in Costco certainly has it. On top of that they will not accept payment from my Medicare Insurer. The Costco Pharmacy does. But they are not wonderful either. Going back to Price Club I have been shopping at Costco for 42 years in AZ. The department store side seems to be picking it up too. Guess it is time to look for a friendlier place. It was convenient to do this shopping at the same time as my Costco shopping. But I have never experienced this kind of attitude at the national chain drug stores or eyeglass outlets. So it is time to go back. I went to the optical with my daughter to look for some new glasses. Spent about 40 minutes, we were the only customers for a while. The two white employees never approached us to ask if we needed help. However, when a young white man came they immediately asked if he needed any help. Later on, we noticed an older asian man and young woman were also ignored by the employees. I sense some discrimination is going on at this Costco since me and my daughter are hispanic. I will never come back to this costco, at least I'm treated with more dignity in the avondale costco. read more

End caps were stacked so high that it was hard to see around them. Some were stacked so high that the hanging price tags could not be seen. Costco offers great savings. Kirkland brand products are even more of a savings. Kirkland products are made by top name brands. Costco stands behind the products they sell. They have a generous return policy. That savings is especially true when it comes to alcohol. Costco has some of the best prices on liquor. Just like other Kirkland brand products, their alcohol is made by premium brands. This location has a good mix of premium and basic products. Labels include local, national, and international brands. Samples are back. They went away for a while due to COVID. This location has a gas station. Costco gas prices are usually much cheaper than other stations in the area. read more

Costco is always busy w/ customer's,parking & ordering food. Once you park, they are plenty of carts to grab & someone waiting at the door to flash your card upon entering. Once you enter; you immediately see all the televisions, electronics & so much more. They also have some sale representatives on the left hand side of the aisle & when leaving. Lots of selections depending on your needs such as: clothes, bedding, blankets, chips, candy, fresh bakery goods, household goods, frozen foods & so much more. We were offered a Costco Shop Card and, of course, earned incentives from the Costco Credit Card. We purchased the system. Our compliments to Christy. This location is well organized for being so busy. After you fill up at the on-site gas station you can head inside to shop in your favorite bulk purchase warehouse while collecting samples of products that they are trying to sell you from crackers, ham and cheese, chocolate, beverages, vitamins and more. After the speedy checkout where you spend more than you planned because it's such a good deal you can stop at the food court for a $2 slice of pizza that is so large it'll fill you until the next day (though it was greasy so I had to dab it clean with a paper towel). Very worth the membership! My favorite thing is that all Costco locations have the same layout making it really easy to shop for your frequently purchased items. read more

Around every corner is the regular rituals of societal norms and creature comforts that we have come to enjoy! Turn the corner and, it's a Costco! Now when I moved to the area temporarily, this Costco was under construction. It's open for business now, but at one moment in time this was a large field dedicated to food and animals in the area. Then progress came and here we are shopping at our local Costco. Wow, I remembered this area as a little bitty wee one as a field when my parents zoomed by on the way home. The area has grown so much that a dedicated off ramp on the newly completed interstate 303 welcomes your business. As a card carrying Costco member I used Costco to aid in the fuel bill. Those that run a small business l, drive and then drive some more the fuel savings will keep you driving a little happier down the road. As this area grows, this Costco will grow too. With the lower fuel prices, the lines will come too. Now the lines at this store move faster than other Costco's in the area. Here's my theory. Space and size does matter. This Costco is in the middle of no man's land. Drive a little extra and have a better time and experience at getting your gas. The Costco at Arrowhead Mall is always busy, but the lines are around the building and every one is up and wants to honk and be angry; but the space is so limiting here. In the "country area," this Costco is more open and with more space better traffic. Happy can be found in a smaller type feel. But this Costco is busy busy but they have learned from other building ventures to spread out some. Give individuals more room and they thrive. Come and lets get gas and not experience the tragedy that other Costcos have to endure because of space constraints. Sure sometimes those gas lines get long but it's much more pleasant with the proper space vibes! What's in store this trip to Costco. While you shop the pizza is something special here. Order that pizza first so that when you leave it fresh in the box. An extra large pizza, that even with constraints on the economy, the pizza still tastes as good as it did during COVID. It's still a ten dollar bill too. When ordering use your card for maximum effect in waiting for that pizza. Take that receipt for pick up. Wander all over the store and now with COVID ridiculousness going away free samples are back. Try the latest and greatest things that are out. All that you could need is here, and it's in bulk too! You will save buying in bulk, if your not going to use it all put that extra product away for a rainy day. Who knows how the food and merchandise lines are going these days! Those creature comforts might come in handy if you could not readily find them. These days one never knows? First it was toilet paper, what's next? Many other things that you don't even know are here. Modern creature comforts to make life a little easier. Over the holiday it was a bed for family to sleep on, now some extra modern comforts and we sleep in that same bed. Walk along the aisles, wander around you might be surprised at what's available these days to make life fun and happier with creating these creature comforts we have come to enjoy. Don't forget to visit the pet section! All the way in the back of the store is the pets area. Buy and save in bulk for the pups too! Treats and toys galore! Once in a while the pups can enjoy some fun new toys. Watch them run and tear the noise maker out of that new toy. As the slobber drips from that new toy, just keep throwing it again and again. Check out cashier Amber M is rude, insulting and unapologetic. She opened her line and grabbed my cart with my children on it very rude and said "let the cart go I have it" did not even to ask please. She never said hi how are you. She was in such a mad hurry she never ask if I wanted a box. She was scanning and said your membership is expired it will be charged which I wasn't told at the front door. I asked her to double check my card because I had her scan my visa Costco card not the actual Costco card and she was visibly upset when I asked her this, sighed in disbelief and was upset she had to rescan a few things after checking my actual Costco card. After finishing ringing up taking the higher road I said sorry for having you do that and the response was it wasn't you I'm just worried about my line. No apology from her and the way she treated me in front of my wife and kids. I left very disappointed I even renewed my membership being treated this way. read more

I truly like this Costco but I am giving 1 star for a single reason. We all love those rotisserie chickens. Right? But yesterday I bought a chicken and brought it home and it was undercooked. I was lucky, I did not debone until it had cooled. And then I found the red undercooked meat. Please, someone within Costco admin needs to take notice and make sure that these chickens are fully cooked! read more

This is for the Optical center. I usually get eye exams at Sam's and glasses at Costco. In September decided I'd get my glasses at Sam's. Biggest and very expensive mistake. I knew they were off and had to wait till insurance started over. This optical nailed it. Super amazing and picked up my new glasses and what a huge difference! I stoped here yesterday specifically to buy a package of their huge bone in pork chops but didn't see any in the usual spot.
