I just walked around the entire store looking for a few things that I needed one was a iPhone holder stand for recording, and then other miscellaneous home items. The store was not busy. There was definitely more employees than there were customers at least I saw tons of blue shirts and not one person asked me if I needed help and I did need help, but I figured it out and found it on my own. I could suggest to Best Buy you could let a few people go and be saving some money because most of them were standing around talking not doing anything. I took three older computers to the Geek Squad professional, Gabe, to be recycled. When I asked they wipe the data he said that required an appointment and a charge. But he said he could remove the hard drives for free. I agreed to that. He spent half an hour taking out tiny screws, opening the backs, taking out and handing me the drives and reassembling. I asked why he just didn't put the screws in a baggie (they recycle those as well) and he said he likes to deliver the units in good shape to the recycler. He's an amazing tech and so committed to doing the best he can for external customers like me and the recyclers. This is why I love Best Buy and Geek squad. read more

After purchasing a $3,000 televison and installation in the store with Daniel on 5/8/2025 I was given a delivery and install of tomorrow 5/23/2025. I ordered a TV back on 7/21 and scheduled for delivery/installation on 8/13--the day after my move to Florida. The morning of the 13th, I get a call from the service tech saying the window would be between 12pm-4pm. At 614pm, I get a call from the same guy saying he wouldn't be able to make it because his last appointment was complicated and took longer than expected. I explained that I just moved to Florida the day before and spent the afternoon waiting for him when I could've been handling other stuff for our move. He assured me that we would be his first appointment the following morning. I called Best Buy customer service that same night for support to see if this was normal protocol for the company. The customer service rep and her manager were no help and apparently they couldn't track down our service tech. This morning, the service techs arrived and attempted to sell us a mount for $180 saying our mount wasn't wide enough for the studs but we used the same mount in my bedroom on the other side of the living room wall without any issues. I was looking for a new laptop and there were about 4 guys in this department who were talking in a circle most of the time until a customer came up to THEM to ask them a question rather than them reaching out to assist. By the time I was ready for assistance, they had all disappeared and were no longer available. I went to the front of the store and told the associate there that I wanted to buy a laptop but none of the associates were around. She said she would call someone. Loads of brands and price points for products. Staff are generally knowledgeable but it's a problem to flag them down. Usually one person working the checkout counter. We went in on the 20th of December so peak shopping time. We got what we wanted easy. They had a plethora of printers that did all sorts of magic. Took a stroll to look at their laptops, drones, GoPro items and accessories, Fitbit, headphones, Xbox and PlayStation games. Impressed by the variety and selection but why go to a brick and mortar if you can just click once online and be done? For the customer service. Still it was easy to grab what we needed. Look around. Checkout. Previous reviews mention issues returning items or getting help at all. Keep they in mind when visiting this store. If you know what you want things are simple. I don't know where to begin, I ordered 3 dash cams for three different vehicles. I called and talked to someone who recommended a model to me so I bought three dash cams, three hard wire kits and three extended warranties but when I looked up the dash cams they could only be mounted to a radar detector! I called to make sure and yes they can only be mounted to a radar detector, they transferred me to a installer or a specialist who would know what to order( sure), I looked the dash cams up with him and he told me everything to order and I did. Approximately a week later I had three reservations for the three cars for the dash cams, I should have listened to my head and the reviews and not gone here but lesson learned!!! I drive an hour from my house and they ordered the wrong hard wire kit! I canceled the order and will pay ANYONE to install these dash cams after I order them from any other store than Best Buy and geek squad and now know why they are both almost out of business! The Geek Squad that came to my home yesterday were not worth the $350.00 we were charged. We spend over $25,000.00 from this store fir TV's, Ring Cameras (8) and other items. Three of the TV's did not sit flush against the wall because they used a regular plug instead of a flat plug. We had them come back out and they replaced two of the plugs and ignored the 3rd TV. They knew the 3rd TV needed a flat plug but they didn't have one in the truck so they ignored it. I discovered it after they left. The rep we are dealing with is off for a month and we have emailed his replacement with no response. I am disappointed and dissatisfied with the lack of care the two Geek Squad people showed. First, Geek Support is not open on Sundays but the person did not tell me that. She answered the phone, kept me on the phone, & listened to my problem. She even tried to sell me a product before she told me that the Geek Squad wasn't there on Sundays. Today, I called not once but twice to get this problem solved. The tech did not know their own URL to log in Webroot. Second, he also thought Webroot & Carbonite accounts were the same (even after I told him that I had webroot only.) I told him I thought you had to pay for Carbonite & he said that you do. He also thought I needed a product. It went on so I said goodbye & hung up. I called back this afternoon only to have a similiar problem with someone wondered if I bought the Webroot from there (where else?) & I knew I was in trouble. The geek squad and their repair center in Tennessee engage in dishonest, unprofessional, and incompetent business practices. I strongly discourage you from utilizing their services. I also wish to warn you that, should you solicit their help, you are likely to be the victim of negligent and unethical treatment. Upon my arrival, I was treated very rudely by the geek squad manager, Sherry for not having made a reservation. I was kept waiting even after all customers with reservations were assisted. I was eventually given an estimate of $90 for a minor hinge repair. A hinge repair - Nothing at all to do with the computer itself. It was just a hinge. Unable to make this simple repair themselves, my laptop had to be shipped to their repair center in Tennessee. It sat there for a week before I was notified that the estimate had increased to $650. Of course, I refused this estimate and demanded that my laptop be immediately returned to the Melbourne store to be picked up by me. At the time of pickup, the geek squad rep said that the policy of Dell and the repair center is to replace the computer screen whenever there is damage to the hinge of the laptop, regardless of whether or not there is damage to the laptop screen. In addition to finding this absurd, I was dismayed that neither Sherry nor the store rep. had informed me of this alleged policy when I brought the laptop in for service, knowing full well that their estimate was grossly underestimated. Throughout this experience, I dealt with the incompetence of Best Buy's phone answering system and each of the representative I eventually spoke to. It actually took me two days of continually calling and suffering through a phone tree intended to make it nearly impossible to speak to a human before I was able to speak to an actual representative. The first rep put me on hold, then disconnected me. The second and third reps, from an outsourced call center, did their best within the limits of the faulty system and inadequate training. And, of course, after all of this, no one was responsible for anything. Best Buy has set up a system designed to "pass the buck," so that, no matter how diligent you are, you will never get a first-hand explanation for anything. (Shame on Best Buy, and shame on Dell Computers). I have since found a mom-and-pop repair center that will make the repair for a minimal charge - without replacing my screen - without a month in limbo - without the harassment and neglect. I ordered a garbage disposal and had it installed by Best Buy's. I had the geek squad program that I had bought earlier in the year and that is why the decision was made to go with Best Buy's, because it was free install. Well sometimes you get what you pay for, In this case I sure did! My first install date was February 3, which they canceled the day before. The second install date was 8 February and after they completed the job, that evening I had done my dishes, and notice a leak from the garbage disposal. It was too late to call Best Buy's so called first thing in the morning, was put on hold and they never came back on the line. Ended up going to Best Buy's and they said they would get someone out to fix that day. Long story short they didn't show up. I went back to Best Buy's that late afternoon and they said I couldn't get on schedule not till the 17 of February. This means being without the sink in the kitchen for a week and a half unacceptable. After arguing and a few choice words, they finally decide to come out on the 10 February at 8:30 in the morning and they fix the issue, but was not worth the hassle or disrespect to the customer. After all done the issue was, they had damage the pipe to the disposal which was causing leak! I have to say thanks to the follow who fixed the issue and were very courteous and kind and couldn't apologize enough for the issues that I had experience. I had a curbside pick up today but I didn't receive an instruction via email that I called the store on Evans Rd. however, my call first went to a general # that this lady had to transfer my call to Melbourne branch but no one picked up the phone after 10 min. hold. I hang up and called the store # again, it kept ringing forever after I selected opt 1. I dialed again and selected opt 3 this time but the phone kept ringing and no one answered my call. I'm a above-knee amputee and wasn't able to get out of my vehicle. Best Buy phone system simply sucks and it doesn't cater to anyone! They have the Terrible customer service!
