I shop at Best Buy for most of my electronics. This store is the worst. The shelves are all half empty except, inexplicably, the toy aisles. The 2 kids who monitor the front door...what are they there for? I asked for assistance and they just stood there looking disinterested. My $5000 order was totally messed up by the salesman the technician and the manager. All of them were completely incompetent and unable to function independently or together. Something that should've been a relatively easy installation of three TVs and mounting hardware became an entire nightmare. The way it was input into the system was a complete failure by the salesman. When I took it the amounts back without a receipt months later unopened they denied my return, even though they carried the same items on their shelf currently. What a negative experience! Went in this store 2/13 in the evening for a printer. Could not find one single person to help us. 45 minutes later, finally found someone AND they read the box to us...duh. we could have done that. Thanked him and made our our decision. Next, we stood at the check out counter where we were TOLD to go from the sales clerk. No one came in 20 minutes!! Went to phone counter and rudely told to go to the blue wall if we want to pay for something! There is no customer service! There is no pride in your store! ZERO stars! Came here a half hour after they opened on a Sunday morning. Couldn't find anyone who works here to help with the home security camera systems. Literally spent 10 minutes looking for a Best Buy employee to help. I don't think anybody works here! Once an employee was finally able to present themselves and give some assistance, I went to the checkout line. What a joke! my iPhone needs a new battery and I have the Apple care + plan. I made an appointment at the closest Best Buy (Tempe AZ) to me for repair. as soon as I walked in the lady said you must be (my name). I said yes and she said sorry I can't help you we do not have any trained Apple staff due to staffing issues. I should mention that I am elderly and disabled (use a battery wheelchair) getting around is not easy for me. I made the appt on the Best Buy website (why did it accept the booking if you are unable to do the job? I put my phone number in the booking why was I not called so i could save myself a difficult trip. I actually did not get upset at anyone I just figured sometimes these things happen and made an appoint the next day for another Best Buy (Superstition Springs) I got there on time for my appointment only to be told it would take 4+ hours to change a battery??? why did I have an appointment to be told to sit in my wheelchair over 4 hours and stare at space? this Best Buy was far from my house so it did not make sense to go home and back again. I took it to a small Apple authorized business with no appointment and they had me in and out in less than an hour. One failire I forgave but 2 in a row when it's 115 degrees outside and I have limited mobility is unforgivable. Normally, I'm not a huge fan of Best Buy. First of all, the hours have changed, and the store doesn't open until 11am. 11! That's just wild. Secondly, I hate that if you go in-store, the employees attack you like a bunch of used car salesmen who haven't reached quota by the end of the month. The fact that there are commissioned reps from internet/cable providers who can also harass you is annoying. We have been looking at new refrigerators, and stopped in again to take a peek and to see if there were any good Labor Day sales. We happened to meet Ana Beach, who was working at this store while SanTan is under remodel. Ana was super friendly, and most of all, not at all pushy. Ana asked what were the things we needed most in a refrigerator, and after learning our likes, dislikes and needs, pointed us to a really cool fridge. She even worked with the numbers to see what the best deal would be. We bought it on the spot. I'm really glad that we had Ana as our Sales Consultant, and wish that everyone could have our experience. Unrelated, the next day Mr. P bought a car stereo online. In hindsight, he should have put it on my BB card. So we went in-store for pick-up and to see if we could change the payment method. This is apparently no small feat. Three employees later, they processed a return on the stereo and charged it on my card. So at this point, we're double-charged and still are awaiting the refund on the first payment method. Luckily, I have the names of the employees in case the refund never proliferates. So I guess that part remains to be seen, but the fact that nobody really knew what to do was kind of frustrating, especially when the first gal said they dealt with something similar the day before. What was the resolution for them? Anyway, with a chain, you'll find good and bad. I usually choose to purchase online, but Ana really made an impression on us, and we found the perfect fridge. Be very careful when you buy insurance for your electronics at this store. My nephew bought a brand new phone here and paid $200.00 for insurance and when he went to this store yesterday they wouldn't replace his broken phone with a new one. He asked to speak to the manager and the manager wouldn't help him. They actually directed him to another electronic store that wanted to charge him $200.00 to fix it. Took longer to get it out of box than to get it working. There are some businesses that I dread reviewing and probably wouldn't except that others do so I feel out of fairness my opinion has to be counted. What makes reviewing this Best Buy location so difficult is that nobody has set a standard what should be reviewed - the entire corporation as a whole, the Superstition Springs location and everything in it, a single one-time transaction, a particular employee, a repair service call on something bought two years ago? It seems all of those exist making for a star rating system that doesn't help anyone. I have been coming to this store for at least 15 years. Not much has changed in that time except these days the showroom is looking a bit rough around the edges, especially the TV department which is pretty much in confusing disarray and it seems they are only making a half-hearted effort to even be in that business any more. The famous Best Buy customer service (described more accurately as their infamous lack of service) is as prevalent as ever. A few days ago I wandered every aisle of the store looking for something, I was there for at least a half hour, and not one employee offered to help me or even say hi. Well I guess I should include the security guard at the exit door who said "see ya". This review wouldn't be complete without mentioning that there is a better way to shop here, simply do it online. I can include mentioning that in this review because you can pick your order up at this Superstition Springs store so technically you are shopping at this location. While their online experience is nowhere near as fluid and polished as Amazon it's not really half bad. I purchased an SD card for my Jitterbug phone last week. "Bryan" recommended that I get the 64 MB as my phone only had 17 MB. He installed it for me while I waited. It really messed up my phone so I called Lively, who makes Jitterbug. Turns out that 64 MB is too large for my model of phone and they said that Best Buy should have known what the specs were. It takes 32 MB max. Lively said to return to the store to exchange it. So I went to Best Buy store to the Returns Dept. I noticed that no one in the store wears name tags. The Returns Dept man sent me to Mobile phone dept to have it exchanged. Waited in line for 25 minutes. This time a woman told me that I needed to go to Returns Dept. I told her I was already there and he told me to come to Mobile Dept for help instead. She said that the Returns man said he never saw me before. I asked to speak to the manager. She said she was the manager, even though she had no name tag on. I also noticed that the manager was not wearing a mask, even though the sign in the window says that all employees are required to wear masks. I went back to the Returns Dept and talked to the same employee again and asked why he said he never saw me before. He couldn't answer. Another male employee happened to stroll by and offered his assistance. He expertly opened my phone to remove the wrong SD card, went to mobile dept to get the correct one, then installed it. I asked him for the name of the manager and he told me "James." So the woman in Mobile Dept was not the manager after all. Her name was "Sierra." Very rude and unprofessional person. Sierra turned this into a very uncomfortable, negative consumer experience. read more

Very sad that you spend $4000+ for new tv, sales person didn't know to order all necessary parts so delivery guy told dispatch three times now, to take order out of in transit so it could be rescheduled. No one can do anything in computer without that and no one is authorized to do it, NOT even managers. Their computer system sucks. I've made 6 calls in 5 days, still stuck, still no manager or anyone for that matter has called me back!!! I'm so disgusted with this cluster ....! We placed our order on line to Best Buy on Southern, according to on line they had 5 in the store. We waited 4 hours for them to call so we could pick it up. My husband went to the store (no one in line at pick up) and saw our model of the tv on the shelf. Still not ready. The same thing happened to our daughter in law a few months ago... showed up and they told her they were out of stock. My point...don't ever order on line for anything--just go pick it up. Unfortunately, only sales people want commissions for the items so they don't help on line orders. I give them a ZERO for on line service and a ZERO for costumer service. My recent pick up order was a horrible experience. I waited for approximately 15 minutes with no one coming out. I attempted to call the store left on hold. Walked in and saw 3 associates having a conversation with no customers in line. I asked about my order and they said is the order for me saying my name. I said yes and then I had to proceed to provide all my info for a curb side order. The notification was there that I had been waiting. No apologies for the wait and between the 3 of the employees no one had any customer service skills. No manager in sight so my best solution should I choose to purchase the future will be to have it mailed to my home. I can depend on UPS for customer service. However this does not help best buy with their overhead expense. The superstition location in Mesa is in dire need of change it has been a steady decline in service The wages does not justify the service. Never, ever, ever use the Geek Squad. At least, not this one. I took my iPhone to the Geek Squad for a battery replacement. They are supposed to be an Apple-certified repair facility, which implies a level of competence. They sent me an email and told me the phone was "ready" When I arrived, they handed me a box and said "we broke your old phone while replacing the battery. Here's a refurb from Apple. So...my original phone, only ever owned by me and gently cared for, swapped out for an unknown quantity because they are inept. And they handed me a form that said "by signing this, you agree that the service was completed satisfactorily. And they seemed surprised that I was not okay with this. read more

Update.. 7-12-22 was told my machine would be delivered and installed. Today was my birthday. On the phone for 2 hours, took time off work AGAIN. Guess what. No delivery, no instalation. I physically went to the store to talk to a manager. She made me wait 45min before telling me theees nothing she can do and the distruct manager will call me the next day. Next day no call. Went down to best buy again spoke to a different manager. States my machine will be delivered and installed this weekend. Stay tuned. ordered a machine over 3 weeks ago, took the time off work for the delivery which was windowed between 7am to 1pm. 1pm still no machine. I contacted bestbuy and was told it was running late and would be delivered by 3pm. 230pm I get a call from the driver who states that he needed a team to get this machine delivered and installed. I paid quite a bit for delivery and installation and do not understand how they did not prepare on their end and then not contact me until a hour and a half after the delivery wondow was over. Im beyond dissatisfied and dissapointed. Awaiting a call back from a supervisor as this is unacceptable. Buyer beware. read more

Kid spends 10 minutes rifling around looking for it - their inventory organization is pretty shitty for a giant mega retailer. "Just cram a bunch of phones in cabinets under the counter and label them with Sharpie" seemed like the best option? Really? Finally tells me they don't have it. Tries to sell me another model. I say no, I don't want that model, I specifically wanted this one. "If it's a matter of money, we can finance the difference". No. Twas not a matter of money, but it's fairly insulting (at least in my opinion) to assume I'm not buying it because I can't afford the extra $40. If I couldn't afford an extra $40, I would not be buying an iPhone at all. Twas a matter of "I wanted this particular item, not a different one". Took my business to Target. C'mon, Best Buy. I'm an elite member and always thought that Best Buy had great warranties and great customer service. Until I bought an Apple Watch from them. They sold me a faulty watch with a nonfunctional sensor which I then had to take to an Apple Store for trouble shooting. After confirming the hardware was faulty the Apple store sent my watch out to be repaired. Three days later they tried to charge me $229 plus tax to replace the screen because of a microscopic scratch. I didn't want the screen replaced; I wanted the faulty sensor replaced. They refused and now Best Buy is telling me that they can't honor their one year warranty because Apple products are exempt from in store warranty. That's outrageous. I bought the watch from Best Buy because I trusted Best Buy. Now they are refusing to back their product and I have a faulty watch that neither Apple nor Best Buy will repair or replace. read more

Easily one of the worst Best Buys I've ever been to. The employees are constantly gathered in groups talking to one another and they actively avoid offering customer service. Three trips in a row, the check out clerks don't even offer a greeting when you approach the register. I'd say its a bunch of bratty kids but the older employees are equally as useless and rude. This particular location is usually sold out of newly released products first, which means that either the manager doesn't order enough to meet the demands, or this location gets shopped through almost immediately upon new releases. Bottom line, your best bet is to try another location, not only for a better inventory selection, but also better experience all around. read more
