I would rate this Best Buy lower if I could. Got a car radio for a gift. We tried to schedule an installation but couldn't get anyone to pick up. When we did get through we were told the employee only worked half a day. Fine, we thought, we'll return the radio and buy one from someone who had time to install it. No such luck. Returns expired January 12th. No problem, call in and explain the issue. Got hung up three times waiting for a manager. Eric at the Orem store calmly asserted "show me where I broke policy." No policies broken just very bad customer service. I'm sure though they've got plenty of customers to make up for our lost business. read more

I hate to be a drag, but Best Buy and its current state is severely understaffed. And under supervised, I spent over two hours in the store trying to get assistance on a car radio I chased around staff members and was never able to get help. Eventually I gave up and decided to save getting a new car radio for somewhere else. I did end up purchasing some thing but it was behind the glass case and I had to chase a staff member down to get it. And when I did they were pretty rude and did not want to help. I feel like they need to ramp up their customer experience overall by hiring more staff and giving more training on customer service. read more

This location turned me away because I had a backpack on. They said I could leave it at the front kiosk until I got done shopping. NO thanks. First of all, I don't trust anyone with my belongings. Second, I don't appreciate being treated like I'm going to steal something from your stupid store. Do you make women leave their purses at the front? Two days ago I ordered the new AirPods pro from Best Buy online, and it said they WOULD be delivered by the 31st which is today. It did not say should, or that they might, it said that they would be delivered by today, and I even got a confirmation email that also stated that they would be delivered by today, the 31st. I waited all day for them, and then I received an email with the tracking number so I looked that up and it said that they would not be sent for another four days. I decided to contact Best Buy through online chat to see if I could get some sort of compensation for the delay. Upon explaining the situation to the first rep, they told me that the AirPods are in high demand, and that's why they were delayed, and then they promptly ended the chat before I could respond. I then had the exact same experience two more times, but the last representative told me that they could give me a five dollar in store credit, but then they also ended the chat with me before I could respond. At this point I decided to call and actually talk to a rep. I called in, explained the situation, told them that I had already chatted with three different people, and that each of them had disconnected from me. She then told me that my order was delayed due to high demand. I told her that I understand that, but the website and my confirmation email both said that I guaranteed would have them by today. She then told me that there isn't anything that she could do, and I told her that I'm just trying to get some kind of compensation. She said that they could not compensate me in any way. I told her that the rep I had chatted with before I called had offered me a five dollar in store credit, but she said that she was looking at the transcripts and didn't see anything about that, and that they could not compensate me in any way. At this point I asked if I could speak to a manager. She said that they would just tell me the same thing, and that she didn't want to waste my time. I said that I would still like to talk to a manager. She said that she would put me on hold for a minute and then get me connected to the next available manager. She then put me on hold for ten minutes, picked back up (I heard chatter on the other end of the line), and then she hung up on me without saying a word. When I called back again, the answering machine said it was after hours and I would have to call back tomorrow. In summary, I chatted with three different online reps and each of them disconnected from me (by the way, when the rep disconnects from you, it automatically closes the chat window, not giving you any chance to save any information) and then I talked on the phone with a rep who ended up hanging up on me rather than connecting me to their manager. Received a defective laptop with a defective battery from Best Buy and went in to geek squad to see what they could do. Long story short they were useless said since I received the laptop yesterday than I should just return it and order another one. So I proceeded to customer service where I was told I would have to expect another 2 week wait for a new computer and the company was unwilling to cover expedited shipping or provide compensation of any sort for lost time. Now I'm out a computer for two more weeks. Best Buy will not be receiving any of my future business and i cannot recommend enough that you should take your business elsewhere. Best Buy is my go to place when it comes to entertainment electronics and other basic computer stuff. The employees at this location have all been really friendly and helpful! I've bought a few pairs of headphones from this location. The last time, I bought the geek squad warranty. About 6 months later, my headphones stopped working and they replaced them no questions asked. I also have bought some Xbox games through here, and the game club thing they do is a great deal. Horrible customer service. I walked in to pay a bill and asked the associate at the door that greeted me where I pay my bill. He pointed me in the direction and I then saw the customer service sign. I stood in line for at least 15 minutes trying to figure out if one associate was actually helping a customer or was just visiting with his friend that was in there. I finally asked if he was helping someone or if he could take my payment. He replied, "you can pay it at the front register." The associate at the front register did take my payment. However, I waited way too long and was not even acknowledged the entire time I was waiting, that I would be helped soon. Also, the fact that I was either misdirected as far as where to pay or not given the proper options as to where I could pay was very irritating. I ordered an LG Washer and Dryer from Best Buy... pricing was competitive with other retailers. The team that installed the washer on day 1 was very professional, taking care not to track dirt over our rugs and ensuring that he didn't crush the drain pan in our tiny laundry room. The second team that came out to stack the drier did a horrible job... tracked mud everywhere, shook the washer / dryer to the point it might have crushed our drain pain, and created a fire hazard by crushing the drier exhaust duct against the back wall. However, I called the Geek Squad help line and they immediately sent out a new team to unstack the washer / dryer and properly install the exhaust vent. The guy even made sure the drain pain underneath was in good share. All in all, Best Buy made good on their mistakes and I am happy. read more

I don't know why I keep wasting my time going to Best Buy. Today I was looking for some computer monitors, and found a deal at bestbuy.com. They were out of stock online, but said that there was stock at the Orem store. I printed off the page and went by the store. After looking around a bit for the monitors (because no one even offered to help me), I finally found them and decided to buy all three that they had. I took them up to the checkout (where only one person was working) and waited my turn. When he scanned them in, they were at the original price. No problem, I had the printout, right? Wrong. He refused to price match what was on my sheet. I then pulled it up on my phone and showed him the live page, which he still would not accept even though it specifically says that they will match the online price in store. All he would do is shrug and say he couldn't change the price. I finally got frustrated and left. The only positive part of the experience is that I ended up finding a better monitor for a better price online, so in a sense Best Buy saved me money. I can also sleep better at night knowing that my money did not go to Best Buy. There is a reason that Best Buy has become nothing but an Amazon showroom, and that reason is that they keep pulling crap like this. It won't be long before they are out of business, and frankly they won't be missed. read more

Don't make a purchase here, and definitely not on a pickup basis, where you pay the money BEFORE you have the product in hand. Twice this month I've had serious trouble with this location. Purchase 1: Made an online order for pickup the same day (it was in stock). Expected to be able to just walk in and grab it. Instead, waited in line for 45 minutes to be helped by the order pick-up staff. Then, when it's my turn, they can't find it. They have to go back to the warehouse, they eventually decide. They disappear for 15-20. When they finally come back, they bring me the wrong product--with my name and order number on the sticker. I had to convince them to LOOK at the order receipt on my mobile phone, and once they finally did, they simply said it was out of stock and they didn't have any--nevermind that their inventory management was telling the Best Buy mother ship that they DID have it in stock. Come back later, they say. WTF? I ALREADY PAID. Come back when? They ended up agreeing to have someone drive down to the location in Sandy and bring one back for me...but I'd have to return in a few hours. Which I finally did, and waited again to be served. Total time commitment for a $50 item: 1:45 and two separate trips. Purchase 2: Just got off the phone with them today. I ordered on BestBuy.com and had an item shipped to the store for pickup. Two weeks ago, BestBuy.com reported that the item was shipped to the store and would be ready for pickup shortly. Then, nada. Today, I finally called the national number and was told that the item arrived at the store nine days ago and I should have been notified. I called the store number, waited on hold for almost half an hour, and finally got to talk to someone. They asked me my name, then told me they didn't have anything for that name. I told them that I'd just been on the phone with the national customer service bunch, and they'd said the item had been delivered to the store and signed for. The next question from the Orem rep? "Um, what is it?" So I told them. "Oh, yeah, I think we have that here. I'm not sure it's the same model or not, but we had an arrival that we forgot to label, so there's no name on it. If you want this one, you can come and pick this one up, just come today before I leave, if it turns out to be the right product." WTF? Would you feel comfortable sending any more of your money this store's way? I certainly don't. I don't know who's running the place, but I think they're in back smoking out most of the time while the employees wander around aimlessly not doing their jobs properly. read more

I'm not sure if it is my curse or not, but I kid you not this Best Buy usually doesn't have new releases available. It has been a couple times I purchase something on their web site to pick up at this particular store, and sure enough, when I arrive they don't have it in stock. Usually the puzzled looks on the employees faces seem like they have no clue what is going on. Other occasions there is never an employee around to ask for assistance. When I find someone, I usually get a smug geek who thinks Best Buy is Wall Street and he's doing me a favor by answering my question. Customer service isn't on par to other Best Buys I've had the pleasure of visiting. I'll be driving out of my way to shop at farther Best Buys from now on for sure. read more

Best Buy is Best Buy and while their customer service is lacking and slow there are still a few great people working there. We went in to buy a new DSLR and had to wait a while for someone to assist us. Andy in the camera dept ended up coming over and helping us round up everything we needed and explain a few lenses to us. He knows his cameras and accessories and was a wonderful help!! The best customer service. I've been going to this location religiously for nearly 5 years and have always had great experiences. Recently, I had an Apple Watch battery explode on me and Best Buy went above and beyond to help lead me in the right direction and steps to take while Apple was being a pain in the butt and Apple had turned me away while admitting my watch was hazardous and could explode. I just barely walked out of the store because I was standing in the car audio section for 10 minutes without anyone offering any help. absolute bulls**t, excuse my French but i just spent almost 2 hours on the phone with support trying to reach an associate in the orem location, for some absolutely stupid reason you cannot call directly to a specific store if you call the number they provide it takes you to the national branch and they MAY or may not transfer you to the individual store. so after trying twice and being told i was being transferred, then the system deciding to hang up on me, i asked for a direct number to the orem store and they told me they dont have a direct number... which as anyone with a brain would know is complete horse s**t, imagine a company that runs countless stores across the country having NO MEANS of contacting a individual store that CLEARLY has a phone... best buy is a fine store/company but just like everyone else their remote support has gone to the dogs, save yourself some time and just drive to the store or cancel your order because the online people are just gonna waste hours of your time. read more

I went here to get some parts for my computer, but these guys don't know anything. For a company that claims to employ the best and brightest experts in computer repair and sales, they are extremely uneducated. I went in the other day asking where their PSU's were located, and the guy just looked at me and responded "PSU?", not having any idea. After explaining to him what a powers supply unit was, he asked about 5 people, who all had no idea what that was or where they were. In the end, I found that they did not even have any over 400 watts. Then I asked him if they had any 24 pin usb interface splitters, and he just said "uh, if we do they would be over there", pointing to where we just were, and then ran off, pretending like he had something more important to attend to. He obviously didn't want to stick around and help me for fear of talking more about computer stuff. read more

Hard to imagine a worse experience. We live a hundred miles from the nearest Best Buy and called ahead to make sure they had the laptop we wanted. They said they did, and we drove to the store to find no computer. Not wanting to waste the trip, we shopped for something else that would satisfy our needs. Nothing they claimed to have was in stock new, only as a display. Finally they did a search to find a computer we could use and found one in the town 12 miles away, Provo. I insisted that they call and verify that they actually had the computer. When we arrived they did NOT have it. So now we have 250 miles (round trip) and no computer. They said we could have a floor model for a discount but would have to wait several hours for it. We're already invested, so we wait and go home with the laptop. The next day I spend with customer support, mostly on hold, because the computer doesn't work. End result, no computer, 500 miles invested including the return, three days wasted, and an opinion of Best Buy that is best described as "completely incompetent". read more

I've had nothing but good experiences here. Their returns policy could be a little better, but they refunded my 3DS for full retail price even though I had lost the box, packaging, and some of the accessories. I just had one of the most annoying experiences as a customer today. I went in for what I thought was going to be a short trip to purchase a monitor for my PC. And after standing around the PC section with my girlfriend for about 25 minutes I was able to ask one of the gentlemen working if they had the monitor I was looking for and he confirmed by looking on his PC that it was indeed in stock and on sale and said someone would be able to help us out with that ASAP he then went back to helping out the customer he was helping out at first. My Girlfriend and I went back to standing around just wanting to buy an amiibo and the monitor and leave but after no one coming for about 10 minutes I went to customer service and said I understand that the employees over there were a little busy but I know the monitor I want and just want to buy it and get out. The customer service women said she would send someone over quickly. I went back to the Monitor I wanted and then after another wait an employee came up to me and after a very brief and disappointing talk about the monitor he said the price listed was outdated and I would have to spend an additional $50 in order to buy the monitor AND that the monitor was not even in stock at the store. The seemingly unapologetic employee didn't even say sorry for the misleading price tag so my girlfriend and I were so frustrated about the whole ordeal decided to leave and not purchase anything. A 40 minute wait to just be disappointed is a huge let down and I wont be recommending anyone to go to this store any time soon. read more

Meh. I've been to this Best Buy before and I'm sure I'll go again. I feel like the people working there weren't busy enough or who knows what but every 3 minutes one would come up to us asking if we needed help. I'm the type that will ask for help if wanted, this was just too much. We had two people helping us with cameras and both asked what we were talking pictures of. I don't want to tell some random stranger why I want a camera and I don't think it's any of their business!! Like sure, I get some cameras are better for scenery stuff and some better for people, but I can do my own research on that! I told the second person helping us that we were using the camera for "some in the bedroom stuff" to try to get her to stop asking us! I'm giving three stars because the girl did help us find the camera we wanted and most stores didn't have it. Plus, I'm too impatient to wait for it to be shipped. She also didn't hassle us about signing up for a stupid Best Buy CC. read more
