We had them come out to look at our refrigerator. Easy fix, no parts, $150 for the service--which we had no problem with. We need to replace a knob on our cook top, so asked them how much the part is. Service tech took a photo of there serial number and looked it up. He wants $850 for the knob and the connecting part! No repairs done, other than looking up the part. Charges us $150 in addition to the other $150 just for looking up the part!!! Their policy says that any additional appliances would be $75 to work on while they are there. First of all, no repairs were done, but even if they feel justified in tagging that on to looking up the part, it would be the $75. We asked why the extra $150. Their response was, "Because it's a Viking its a premium appliance so we charge more"! They just lost all our business and WILL NOT recommend them to anyone! BEWARE! read more

Extremely expensive!! I used them a month ago to try to fix my refrigerator. I was charged $290 to have a technician vacuum out the back of my refrigerator. The entire service call took 30 minutes and the technician used my vacuum. No parts were repaired, it was just vacuumed. Their website specifically says that they have upfront pricing and will tell you the price before they do any work, but I wasn't told in advance how much it would cost. When at the end of the appointment I was told how much the service cost I was in shock at how expensive it was. A 30 minute service that required no parts should not cost that much! That is $580 an hour! If I had known how expensive it would be I would have paid the call fee of $120 and then vacuumed the refrigerator myself. The repair man was nice, but I feel like I was taken advantage of and charged double what the service call should have cost. I tried to contact their business, left messages, emailed, and although I received a text saying that someone would contact me, no one has ever called me to resolve this. Also, the problem with my refrigerator was not solved by the service provided by the repairman, so I ended up looking online for a solution and was able to fix the refrigerator myself. We had them come out twice to repair an ice maker in our fridge. Both times he would defrost it and said that he had fixed it. Both times within an hour the ice maker didn't work again. He said he didn't know what else to do but replace the whole door. My husband then googled it and watched two videos and repaired it and it has worked ever since for at least a month and half. I will never use this company again!!! They are also very very difficult to get a hold of and I wish I could get my money back. read more

If you're reading this, this is your sign to not use this company. We scheduled a repair on our dishwasher, tho they were prompt on getting it fixed, we were left with damaged flooring from the technician scratching and not using anything to catch excess water. I have reached out to this business on many occasions to try to get this resolved, to not only be ignored but be told by the manager (Clint) that they will not pay someone of my choosing to fix my lvp and that they will not pay to fix the water damage caused (only the scratched surface) and that the water damage was not from their technician it was from a previous leak. This Is complete BS if you ask me. Terrible customer service. I have a contractor installing flooring for my basement already so I want them to fix my flooring, not someone that Mr. appliance hires out. Our experience with Mr. Appliance of Provo has been extremely poor. At the least this company has terrible customer service. Based on our experience they are dishonest as well. On December 8, 2021 Ryan from Mr. Appliance came to our home to diagnose a problem with our refrigerator/freezer. It had been beeping and cycling on and off. Ryan told us the problem was some broken wiring on the bottom of the freezer door that was causing the sensor to go off. The repair for that was quoted at $220. The ice maker had also stopped working. It was going to be $352.73 to fix that. I made a quick call to my husband and we decided to fix both. I paid a $300 deposit toward both repairs. Shortly after Ryan left, my husband called back and after further discussion we decided to wait on fixing the ice maker. I called Mr. Appliance, spoke with Clint, canceled that portion of the repair, and was to be credited the $80 difference from our deposit. When Ryan returned late in the afternoon on December 23, to fix the wiring, my husband and I had a Christmas dinner to attend and left our son-in-law home to be here for the repair. When we returned home that night, we found that the refrigerator was making the same noise and cycling just as much, if not more, than before the repair. I called Mr. Appliance the next morning and was told that now that the wiring was fixed Ryan had been able to properly diagnose the problem and the motherboard needed to be replaced--a costly repair that would have refrigerator down a week or more. This was surprising to us, as Ryan had told us the wiring was the problem and had not mentioned that anything else was wrong with the refrigerator. Whether or not the motherboard or something else was bad, or a problem was created during the repair, we won't ever know as the refrigerator died altogether and we had to replace it. Of course we are not happy to have thrown away $220, but lesson learned. Even more frustrating is that--two full months later--we have not been refunded the $80 owed to us for the ice maker repair that was never done. I have repeatedly called and emailed Mr. Appliance about this and have never received a reply, nor has a credit come through on our card. We will never use this company again and warn anyone else considering Mr. Appliance that they are not honest and you may end up with a worse problem than you began with if they attempt a repair. read more

I needed a diagnosis for my very old double oven. Eric showed up on time. He was polite, efficient and professional. The fee charged was exactly what I was quoted ahead of time. Unfortunately, my poor oven cannot be salvaged, but the service from Mr. Appliance was excellent. I will definitely call them again when the need arises. read more
