After my Samsung high tech dryer went south and repairman tried to fix it and after spending $$, I decided it wasn't worth putting more money into this machine, I'd rather buy a new one and start over. I wanted a specific dryer with certain features and this store had a few in stock, my local BB didn't have and I always want to see and touch in person and this was the closest to me so I decided to give them a shot. Our salesperson was super helpful and informative, and got us a great deal on a machine that would be as close to my current machine as possible. Open for almost a year in Bellflower, this Best Buy Outlet is one of twenty-four across the country, including only three in all of California. It consolidates all of the returns and open boxes for the many Best Buys in the area into one big open warehouse area, allowing consumers to actually have choices for product if they are willing to purchase 'used'. I really appreciate the concept, and ended up making purchases on the first trip (which is rare for me). Many of us are used to seeing 'used' merchandise heavily discounted at Best Buy once in a while. These are items that have been removed from their factory packaging, either to be used as demos or to be installed at a consumer's home. Instead of sending returned items back to the manufacturer, Best Buy will sometimes try to sell them as 'open', at heavily discounted prices. Like most good retailers, Best Buy has gotten really good at sharing accurate on-hand inventory data to their consumers. One can check what inventory is at what location, even for an outlet. My wife has been wanting a certain refrigerator/freezer pair when we remodeled our kitchen, so when she discovered many of them were marked as available in the (somewhat) nearby outlet, we decided to make a visit. The building is clearly marked as a 'Best Buy OUTLET', and had plenty of parking. Once you enter, you recognize it as a big open space, with appliances just scattered around. Different appliances groupings are put together, but within that group, they are scattered with no clear system (e.g. different brands can be far apart, and the same exact refrigerator model can be three or four different places). By far the largest grouping was for refrigerators and washer/dryers (almost 1/2 of the space). We were looking for a particular induction stove as well, but they didn't have any. They do sell TVs, but didn't find many. There are a few friendly associates to help, but the expectation is that you know what you want. So questions are mainly around finding the inventory. It was also made clear that what you saw, was what you get...so any missing shelves or accessories would not be replaced. It actually produced almost an auction type of effect, where one could contemplate things like 'there is a missing shelf...is it worth the extra $100 for a complete unit, or can we just order the shelf separately'. It's definitely the opposite of going to an appliance superstore, where the folks work on commission. This is one example where doing research on-line is expected but making the final purchase requires a visual inspection, especially since the different prices depend on it. We were lucky to find many returned items for the products we wanted, so were able to inspect quite a few of them. The prices varied greatly, from 35% to almost 50% for a couple. The associate mentioned that there is no clear reason why one unit might be quite a bit more marked...it could be because of condition, but also how long it has been sitting around (we noticed that for our refrigerator, there were different year models available, with the older model being more discounted). They do delivery here to a localized area, for a flat $100 (no matter how many products you purchase). You check out like any other best buy, and had a little issue with my credit card to get past the fraud detection (best buys are a popular retailer for credit card thieves). To make sure you are getting the exact unit that you want, the associate will walk back with you to mark the unit (and also to make sure another customer won't claim it). The unit is moved to a warehouse, from where it will be stored until day of delivery. It is very similar to other Best Buys, in that the associates will push their credit card, extended warranty, and paid loyalty program. Much of their return policy is the same. One difference is that the manufacturers warranty can be different for open box items, and I was told I needed to call them directly about it (which I will do). So definitely some risk there, but imo worth it to save quite a bit of money. Update on 6/20/2025: Contacted Frigidaire directly, and after a consultation with their legal, notified me that their manufacturer's warranty is not valid for open-box items. That's a game changer, and I think Best Buy is being a bit deceitful here, in just stating that you have to contact a store associate, who then either states incorrectly that it is covered, or more accurately stating that you need to contact the manufacturer. Makes perfect sense if buying from a store like Big Lots...but not best buy. But even with the warranty, we still saved money...so 3 stars it is. read more

I went looking for a refrigerator. This outlet is huge. More models and options than anywhere I have been. Unlike a full service store I was able to explore the selection with out a sales person wanting to assist me. When I was ready for assistance I approached a staff who was able to answer my questions and process my purchase. I saved a considerable amount compared to a full service location. I was able to have delivery and hull away added. This building was once a Gemco then Lucky's and Staters . It is bare bones nothing fancy here. Plenty of parking . This place has quite a selection of used items. Some are pricey still and some are really discounted. Lots of workers walking around but not much interaction. When I would find something, I had to find someone to assist me. I was assisted by a really nice guy who was able to answer all my questions and concerns, I ended up buying the item. When I did get the item it was heavily damaged more than advised so I did return it unfortunately. However, they did take away my old item and I ordered a new one instead of another "New Open Box". So buyer beware! Do yourself a favor and consider new, unless you understand these items are used floor models or returns. Some items had food or drink residue left inside. I walked in with the idea of what I wanted. The sales floor person, Daniel was of great help. He assisted me in my final choice and explained everything very well to my best benefit. He convinced me to get the Best Buy membership for $50 with the additional warranty. So if you're debating getting something used the $50 membership allows you to return and get your money back within 60 days (3 months) or exchange. The warranty is 5 years of service. I would find a red sticker on the box, but no price. The store looks like a discount outlet inside. Signage states they offer next day delivery. This Best Buy location is a gigantic store. What they have at this location is a lot of washers and dryers and refrigerators, big screen TVs, and some other things that you may be looking for that make up the Best Buy inventory. One would obviously assume that as this is an outlet store, their prices would be fairly low. This is not actually the case, however. Though there are some deals here, most of their pricing is pretty much on par with what they offer in their regular stores. For example, I had bought this large monitor from my local Best Buy a couple of months ago. I saw the same product in this store, open box, and it was the same price as I had paid., Thus, you may be able to find some deals, but they're most likely not going to be earth shattering What they do here is a lot of slightly damaged items. They have refrigerators that have a few scrapes on them, washers, and dryers with the same, and a lot of open box stuff. The only complaint I have about this location is that a lot of their stuff does not have the price on it. Meaning, you will, in some cases, have to go up and ask a sales associate the price if you want to have a clear idea about what you may be interested in purchasing. My only thought for you to keep in mind is that, yes, you may be able to find what you're looking for here. But, don't expect to find an incredible deal on that item. read more

I purchased an "open box" refrigerator from the Bellflower Best Buy Outlet at a very good price...was told it was in "excellent/like new" condition per the person at the 800 customer service phone center who guided me through the purchasing process. They encouraged me to go to the outlet to inspect it and make delivery arrangements. It was an 1 & 1/2 hour drive to an area I was totally unfamiliar with. The exact location was difficult to find as it's in a huge old parking lot tucked away right next to the freeway off ramp...no visible tall signs to be easily able to see the place. On the 4th pass, luckily I spotted the faded blue & yellow colors of Best Buy, way in the back of the parking lot..finally! One of the employees at the Best Buy Outlet in Bellflower service desk pointed to the location of the refrigerator. At first glance...all looked good EXCEPT that on the front of the french doors there were 2 areas about 1"x 3" where the white paint was a different shade of white! The employee came over and told me how someone must have used "white out" (paint used to cover type-o's) to hide scratches in order to be able to cover up and ensure the return. It actually came off at the slightest graze of my fingernail! The interior looked flawless, but I knew if I went through with the delivery that every time I walked into my kitchen...those spots would catch my eye and I'd regret it. I do want to thank the man at the outlet that helped me. He did promptly process a refund and his honesty helped prevent a big hassle of going through the delivery and return of a very large refrigerator! So bottom line is, if you purchase "open box", be sure to take the time to go and inspect your item in person. read more

I purchased 8 appliances all matching kitchen aid. The refrigerator had a leak. No problem it was fixed. One of the gas stoves had a gas leak. Best Buy sent me to kitchen aid. K Aid tried to fix it and my house filled up with gas. Gas company shut the gas off and would not turn it on without a pressure test. Cost me $225 Then I took the oven back for a replacement. They wouldn't give me a replacement at the same price so I spent another $425 which was the price difference. Refrigerator warranty- we purchased an LG refrigerator here. And it has broken down three times in three years. We purchased a three-year warranty and the first we were told that LG needs to come out because it's under a one-year warranty and they will take care of it and they did. Then one year later the refrigerator broke down again and this time Best Buy did the repair that was in the second year. Now here. We are three years later and the refrigerator is broken down again. We've had the refrigerator for a total of three years as of this month. So correct me if I'm wrong the first year was under manufacturer warranty. So the 3 year warranty we purchased should be extended 3 years after the manufacturer warranty. They said no. So actually it's only a 2 year warranty not the three year warranty they sold us. It should be sold as a 2 year extension onto the manufacturers warranty. This is false sales information given to customers. IMO read more

I had a great experience buying a Sony Bravia OLED 48inch here. About 3 different staff members checked on me and answered my questions because I was so nervous about making a TV purchase. I can confidently say that I got a great deal on my Bravia at half off. The TV usually retails for $1300-1400 as new and I got it for a little under $700. There are also plenty of other LED TVs that are cheaper but we wanted a QLED or OLED. The staff also pointed out that the stickers on the boxes indicate what may be missing, but two different staff offered to open up the boxes in front of me to confirm that certain items were missing and the staff even mentioned that sometimes the boxes say that certain items are missing but in actuality they have all necessary items - which again is why they offered to double check the materials in the box before I bought the TV to ensure I was comfortable with the purchase. I just wish they had more variety of appliances to choose from. They do focus on refrigerators, washing machines, and TVs pretty heavily. read more
