Our mobil representative at the store was awesome. But do not call customer service because you won't get anyone and you will be sent around in circles by automated systems. If you do happen to get someone, they will be in another country, hard to understand and they will not understand that you want to speak to someone at the store. The second person that I had on the phone in another country told me that I needed to call the store directly... NO DUH!!!! That's exactly all I was trying to do. It is serious BS. On June 28, 2021 I bought 2 TVs, soundbars and TV mounts. The process went smoothly except for the fact that it would take three and half weeks to deliver and install my two TVs. On July 20th I'm contacted by a Geek Squad member to confirm my appt in 2 days. On July 21st I get an email saying my delivery has been canceled as the two TV mounts I ordered are not available. While this is frustrating news I understand that delays happen. The email encourages me to try to reschedule my delivery. I try to reschedule but the very slow website keeps saying no to all my requests. After about 20 minutes, I decide to call customer service. I call the number and the automated service says there is a 30-minute wait. I opt-in to have a representative call me back. About 30 minutes later a rep calls me and then we spend the next 37 minutes trying to reschedule my TV delivery. She says it will be almost 2 weeks before she can reschedule as the TV mounts are delayed. I ask her to cancel the two tv mounts as I can order them on Amazon and have them delivered in 2 days. She cancels my two tv mounts and schedules to have the TVs and the soundbar delivered on July 26th. The Geek Squad will also install everything on that Monday. I hang up the phone that afternoon hoping to get an email confirmation with details for my delivery as I did the time before. I wait all day thinking but the email never comes. The following day on July 22nd I call the number again and thankfully did not need to wait more than a minute or two. I speak to a nice rep but quickly learn that my order and deliveries had been canceled completely. No refund had been an issue. Over the next 80 minutes, I work with this new rep to get things right. Here's how it played out. I was given a full refund of my original order and told I'd get the money back next week. A new order was placed for all the items I bought back in June. The rep has to wait a long time for a supervisor to give her approval for the sales price I had paid for the TVs. The rep books the delivery to our old address which I catch and ask her to correct The rep also books the delivery under my son's name. I have her correct that too. The agent bills me a second time for the $5000 order. So at this time, I am out over $15,000 to Best Buy. I am supposed to get a $5000 refund next week but now I have two charges in my account for around $5000 from today's exchange. The rep schedules the new delivery and sets it up to be on August 7th. She tells me she can transfer me to another person who will resolve my issue and get it all worked out for a July 26th delivery. She gives me the resolution team number: 800-304-1259. She transfers me and as I expected the transfer fails...she sent me to a fax number. At this point, I have spent about 2 hours on the phone dealing with people. I try calling the number I was given hoping to get help immediately but the number I have is not a direct line to the resolution team...It's a number to the customer service line...the same one I called 90 minutes earlier. The automated system tells me it will take 45 minutes for me to talk to a rep. I opt in to have the rep call me back. 65 minutes pass and no one calls me back. I try calling again. The wait for this 2nd call is 13 minutes. I end up waiting 25 minutes. I explain my situation and this new rep says she can not change my delivery time to an earlier date. I ask her to transfer me to someone who can help me. I'm put on hold for another 30 minutes. I finally reach a new rep...I share my story and she tells me she can not do anything to get my service moved up to July 26th. I ask her if there was a resolution department or desk and she says she does not know of such a department. I ask to speak to a supervisor....she says that her boss could not make any changes as one of the TVs I ordered was not available till August 4th. While we talk to her I decide to go to Amazon order everything there. I ask her to cancel all the products and to just refund my money. She cancels everything but says the 2 items that were being shipped could not be canceled. She tells me she has to transfer me to the shipping dept and they will help me cancel the 2 items. A funny thing happens while we are talking on the phone. Another charge for $120.52 shows up in my bank account from Best Buy. I ask her why I'm being billed again. She says she has no idea. She tells me I need to talk to financial to resolve the issue. She transfers me to the shipping department and I end up waiting another 15 minutes. I finally get a rep. She tells me the items are shipped and that she will try to intercept them but she can't guarantee she will succeed. She informs me that once the 2 items are returned, I'll get my refund. Total time loss on this endeavor almost 6 hours and nothing to show for it. I have no desire to deal with this company ever again. No supervisor ever reached out to me (even when I asked to speak to one). read more

So I came in today for the end of the Memorial Day sale and I'm glad I did. I've been working with the same MacBook since college and it's been a while since I've been able to turn it on lol I know I can easily replace the battery, but it's just time for a new device. So my mom and I entered the store and right away we were directed to the Apple area and told that a representative would be with us. A few minutes later, a sales rep. walks up and he was really professional. At first, I wasn't sure which laptop to get then, the desktops caught my attention too but when I started telling the rep. what I use my devices for, he recommended a MacBook Air 13.3" 256GB. At first, I wasn't thrilled about getting an exact replica of my previous MacBook but it wasn't until I started setting up my new MacBook is when I realized I'm capable of doing a lot more that I couldn't previously do. So thanks to the dude for recommending this device. This is my go-to spot for all of my electronics and I'm always satisfied with my purchases. Every time I have a question, the representatives are always there to give me answers and their honest opinions and I really appreciate their honesty more than anything. I had a problem with a TV about a year after I bought it and they sent someone to come fix it the day after I called them thanks to my TotalTech membership. I definitely recommend coming into this BestBuy for all of your electronic necessities, especially when they have deals going on. I called the number for this store on Foothill blvd in Pasadena for a TV Convertor Box with 4K. The woman who answered the phone was not at the store but a home because they reroute the calls to a call center not at the actual store. I asked her about the 4K TV Convertor boxes and she checked and said that at least 5 was available at this location. I went there because I wanted to speak to a tech about the boxes and my needs for it. Well there was no TV Convertor boxes whatsoever!!!! Man was I pissed. The problem is that there system is not updated on a daily basis and the information I was given was false and I wasted 2 hours of my day for absolutely nothing. Now this ha been an ongoing issue with them that I have came across more than once!!!. With a company this large why reroute customers to a call center (Person sitting at home) looking at a computer screen. THE SHOULD LET THE CALLS GO DIRECTLY TO THE STORE!!! NOT A CALL CENTER. My experience has completely been through online and phone customer service, but I cannot overstate how TERRIBLE my experience has been with this company. I wish there was a platform to share this with more people than just the store locally, but this is it. We tried to simply buy a washer and dryer, and I will admit that I made a mistake in ordering the incorrect fuel type for our dryer. However, this was just the first of many, many issues. We have now been trying to work with customer service for 3 weeks (all the while an unusable washer and dryer are sitting in our house taking up space) because first we didn't have the right install kit come with the units, then we found the washer was damaged on arrival, and the company has sent the wrong size truck for accessing/picking up the units FOUR TIMES now, despite the fact that we have reiterated this over and over again. Every single time something goes wrong, it takes 3-4 days to process through customer service and correct, and they are getting it wrong every single time. We even tried to go into the store to talk to someone about it, but they aren't able to access order that are placed online, so there is literally nothing we can do but keep calling them back, over and over. I'm on the verge of cutting ties and just reselling the units separately at a loss to get them out of our lives. I can't imagine a company that is run more poorly than Best Buy. read more

My aunt and I were being helped by Cody originally to purchase a dryer but he ended up leaving us. Once we decided on one, I asked an associate for help by the name of Eric R. Eric R. Is the epitome of a bad salesman. He originally quoted us a cheaper price for the electric version of the dryer and got defensive when we caught him trying for another price. He claimed he was stating the SKU and not the price and accused us of cheating him. After that, it felt like he had it out for us. I brought up that there was a feature missing from this aka a lit interior and he sneered and said "Why? You have a light in the garage. You cant just turn it on?" He gave me attitude at every turn and literally harassed us saying "are you buying it or not?" I found the entire experience horrible and antagonizing and ended up buying the dryer because we needed it and it was a Memorial Day sale. Worst experience ever. Ordered a fridge in store was told I would get a call back the next day to put in the order. No call. I called the store and a woman named Grace answered. She basically had our fridge set for delivery to an address in San Diego and after 3 times of telling her my email I come to find she wrote a complete different email. We were supposed to get a 200 dollar promotional gift card with the purchase. The email she put was ****S1234@cox.net which was completely off and not even close to my email. Also we live in Pasadena so it seems she was trying to send the gift card and the fridge to herself or somehow she knows in San Diego. Not coming here ever again. For anyone buying electronics at Best Buy, avoid Total Tech at all costs. BB told me that Total Tech would provide a warranty on every electronic device in my home. That sounded like a good deal and I signed up for $199.99. Then my wife's 2017 Mac laptop was was not booting up and we took it to BB/Geek Squad to take advantage of the Total Tech coverage. Turns out Geek Squad won't even look at the laptop at the store. Instead they send it to Apple and, oh by the way, Total Tech doesn't cover hardware issues (?) Further questions reveal that TT will only cover 20% of the repairs (not disclosed to me at the time of sale) so I wanted my money back. Turns out it's pro-rated back to June 2022. BB took $140 for seven months of coverage. I got $60 back. What a load of crap. BB and Total Tech sucks. read more

So my Vizio TV goes out I use my warranty to get a new TV. New TV is supposed to be up upgrade and it didn't work from day one. Then they didn't want to take it back so they came to replace it with a new motherboard and the repair guy broke my tv for two weeks and finally bought me a new one that does not work. They screwed me out of 700$ for a Obama android bootleg tv I am sooooo upset. They refuse to take it back and I know why... Big thanks to William M. and his manager (Arminda) for helping us through the whole ordeal with our fridge order. Again, they deserve 5/5 stars. On the other hand, the appliance delivery crews are a mixed bag, depending on who you get. The whole experience still could have been better, but was mostly fouled by the crew from the delivery company that did the first delivery attempt on our original delivery date (Saturday, 9/10). Refer to my previous review. After multiple reschedules, our fridge was delivered and installed on the Friday (9/16) after the original delivery date. For this second delivery, we got a different crew this time, though same delivery company as before. Our experience with this second crew was a complete polar opposite from the crew that did the first delivery attempt. This second crew did not complain about spacing and told us there was ample room to get the new fridge through our doorway. We even offered them towels to pad the corners while moving, and they told us they didn't need them. Within an hour of them arriving, our new fridge was up and running. The only small complaint we had about the second delivery crew was that when they took our old fridge outside, they saw a small bug fly into it, and they were concerned that the bug would lay eggs there and that would be unacceptable to put the old fridge into their warehouse because of a potential insect infestation. Umm, ok. Side note: we live near a drainage channel, and as such, we get bombarded with mosquitoes every summer, but we keep the population under control around our yard using buckets filled with a combination of water and BTI (read: mosquito larvicide). In any case, they left the old fridge in our backyard, and had us schedule another day/time for the haul-away. Never mind the fact that leaving the old fridge outdoors would attract more bugs into it in the meanwhile (common sense, anyone?), but whatever. Since our new fridge was in a temporary location in the kitchen until we made modifications to our cabinets to accommodate the new space, we had originally scheduled a fridge relocation for the following day, but since we weren't ready for relocation, we ended up taking advantage of that appointment to have another crew haul away the old fridge. The next day, we got yet another different crew from the same delivery company, and they were able to haul away the old fridge without any complaints. The second and third delivery company crews that respectfully did our new fridge delivery/installation and old fridge haul-away on 9/16 and 9/17 were way more communicative and helpful than the first crew that botched the delivery on 9/10. The second and third crews also arrived at the time they specified and there was no playing phone tag with them. However, that still didn't help us recover the cost of living out of coolers and buying dry ice (40 lbs. per day, at $2 per pound; do the math) for almost an extra week while we didn't have our new fridge. I joked to my girlfriend that I would probably have to do a side gig as a human guinea pig for medical research to help foot the sunk costs from this experience. Overall, the sales reps in the store are awesome, but since BB contracts out the appliance delivery and installation to a 3rd party company and the sales reps have no control or oversight on them, your mileage may vary depending on the delivery crew you get. I should also mention that prior to the second delivery attempt, we phoned BB's corporate hotline multiple times; this was during the weekend. Each time, the agent on the other end was in a call center somewhere in the Philippines and was completely clueless as to what was going on, and kept going in circles on how our fridge was successfully delivered (which was total BS - it wasn't at the time, but no amount of us nicely but firmly complaining changed their mind). During the weekday we called the same hotline again and actually got an agent in Texas who was more coherent and understanding, and that same agent helped properly schedule our second delivery on 9/16. It already makes us irate that large American corporations outsource their call centers to save a few bucks at the expense of frustration of customers, but thankfully with BB at least you can reach someone who won't give you a runaround - that is, as long as you call during a weekday and pray that you get an agent who is in the US. After this whole rollercoaster charade, however, we felt as if we had eggs thrown in our face. All we can say is that while we will still go to BB to buy electronics and small appliances that we could haul home ourselves, for larger appliances that require home delivery - next time we're buying those from Lowe's or even Home Depot. We are absolutely disgusted by Home Depot's political stances, but if we get desperate enough to have something big delivered on time and installed correctly, then so be it. read more

I went in for a Roku for my analog TV (the one with the red, yellow and white connectors). Unfortunately, I was informed by Enrique (the supervisor of the Home Theater department) that those are no longer available. I was BUMMED because I'm not ready to replace perfectly working TV's, in rooms that we barely use, with brand new smart TV's. Anyway, while there, I saw a small Roku TV that was deeply discounted. Tony Davis assisted with the purchase and was so kind, personable and professional. The purchase was seamless and I felt WELL taken care of. I'm happy with my purchase. I'm taking away two stars because the next day, I went to my cable company to turn in my DVR box. The cable rep informed me that there IS still a Roku box for my analog TV. It's called Roku Express+ and it was available at Walmart. I went straight to Walmart and purchased one. So, although Best Buy doesn't sell them, I was misinformed. There is STILL a Roku for analog. Moral to the story, get more than one opinion. read more

I came to this store to buy a new appliance for my home. When I arrived to shop, I was stopped at the door by an employee that asked what I would be shopping for. I assumed this process was to help direct me to the right area and limit the number of people in the store. The employee let me in after less than 2 minutes of waiting, but failed to point me in the right direction. No big deal, but it would have been helpful. When I found the appliances section, I didn't see an employee that was immediately available, but when I found someone, he offered to carry my appliance to the checkout counter and to my car. WORST BEST BUY EVER. I came over from Texas to visit my niece and I wanted to buy a birthday present for them. I decided on a mechanical keyboard because she's a gamer. I ordered online for a new keyboard, pickup in store. When I arrived to the store, it was clean. Staff members aren't very attentive. They're walking all over the place, but aren't doing anything. Some literally walk in circles (I tried to chase one down to ask for help, but they ignored me and kept walking. The guy actually walked in a circle/square around the tech department). ODD BEHAVIOR, but it's whatever. I finally give up and then went to the pickup orders area. It's so bad because the staff are EXTREMELY slow, so the line usually gets pretty long. They also make you wait a pretty long time. I was in front of the line and had to wait 30 minutes...like huh? I have everything ready, just scan it and give me my stuff. After the long wait, I finally get my keyboard. AND LOW BEHOLD, my keyboard's box was opened already (I DID NOT BUY AN OPEN BOX NOR USED). I got into the car because I was thinking WTF??? but I also tried to give it a chance because it's an open box, so it might be new idk. I check it out and it was missing the usb-c cable that powers the keyboard. So then I gave up on that Best Buy, I checked on Amazon and it was $20 cheaper for the same thing, with same-day delivery/locker pickup. I buy it on Amazon and then went to go return it. He asked what I was shopping for and then directed me to the relevant department as he put my name in the queue. The wait was brief and it gave me just enough time to browse their many tv options. So many selections. Within minutes a product expert named Fernando came to assist me. He was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I never felt like I was being sold anything I didn't want or need. I was very comfortable making my purchase with Fernando's guidance. My experience today at Best Buy was 100% EXCELLENT. Not a fan of this location. I have needed manager assistance twice at this store in a two year period. That's not horrible, but i've never needed to talk with a Mgr. at a Target, Bed Bath &Beyond, Frys etc. I've needed help with price discrepancy, christmas returns and today an price on a kitchen tool. Today Robyn told me the policy was to never honor yesterday's price. This is Tuesday. Apparently Monday night prices change. I don't work in a retail store and thought they changed on Sundays with the Sundays paper and new published ads. The placard that enticed me to return the next morning had changed and jumped up $300. The placard (picture posted) does not mention when the sale was good through. Much like christmas sales with Best Buy, if your not reading EVERY SINGLE THING you'll miss out when the sale ends. During christmas season they have a daily sale. If you missed the board and think that your coming back tomorrow for that deal, think again. Less than 24hr difference and zero wiggle room or offer... that's fine, I'll remember that disservice and share with you, YOU CAN'T WAIT if you see a sale here, management is not interested in why go...i waited. read more

Purchased a new 65 " TV from Best Buy in Cranberry Pa. I will say that I had a great experience with the sales rep. They did not have my model in stock so they offered free delivery. Reviewing their schedule they told me 8 days out. Knowing I could get it quicker from Amazon I opted to give the local store my business based on the rep being so helpful. Well 8 days later it was supposed to be delivered between 10:07AM and 2:07 PM. 4 PM I called to see where it was. They told me it cannot be delivered today. Nobody called, texted or emailed to inform me of the change. They Just let me sit there all day waiting. Then the topper was the next available date was 2 weeks out!!! I already waited 8 days!!!! I did what I should have done in the first place. I canceled the Best Buy order and purchased from Amazon. Free delivery in 6 days carried into my room of choice. And Best Buy couldn't have cared less... read more

Buyer beware. I bought an electric dryer and paid 450$ which no one said I would need 220 amp plugs and they would not let me return the dryer because 15 days had expire. I understand that I didn't know how these things work but I now have a 450$ dryer I cannot use, it has never been used. Called the Pasadena location to ask if they had a GoPro wrist mount. They said yes, that the person who was on the phone with me worked and was at the Pasadena location, and that it was on sale for $12.50. I drove to the location and the employee says they actually didn't have it and blamed the "Call Center". I clearly explained that the person I spoke to said they were at the Pasadena location. She just shrugged her shoulders and didn't believe that the person actually worked there or that the product was in stock. If I had known that none of this was true, I would not have driven all the way out to Best Buy. They're unwillingness to take responsibility for this mistake was really irritating, so I don't plan to go back to Best Buy. I really want to write a good review of this place because I have spent so many thousands of dollars here over the years that if it is a bad place, I have been a numbskull. So let me clarify that although Best Buy may be a good place for consumer tech, this review is only of my recent experience with the Geek Squad here. I brought in my computer laptop which was is sorry shape but still working. However I had just performed a recovery on the operating system with my recovery disks and the new OS couldn't load the drivers for my modem so I had no internet. I need the laptop for a current job so I raced it over the the Geek Squad to use my GS support policy ($300 for 3 years, yikes), to fix it. I had renewed the policy on line 6 months ago and was promptly told that the renewal did not cover hardware anymore. But it did cover the drivers so they took in the computer and had it for a week. When I went to pick it up I was told that the mother board was burned out and now even the operating system did not function. They put my now totally useless computer in a bag and told me that there was nothing they could do. I stood there dumbfounded for about ten minutes and then I started screaming. How dare they take in a computer that I trusted them to fix and then give it back to me far more broken than when I brought it in. I refused to leave until I talked to the top manager. After about 40 minutes of them trying to get rid of my the top manager arrived. There was no doubt that my operating system was operational when I left that computer there, and that now it wouldn't even load. I told him I wanted my computer returned to me in the same or better condition as when I dropped it off. He said that it would mean replacing the mother board, which is not covered by my policy. I reiterated that I demand for my computer to be returned to me in at least as good of a condition as I left it, which means the operating system must load, which means a new mother board, and I will not pay a dime for it. The higher up manager was very gracious and offered to take care of it. I calmed down and am still waiting for news of its repair. So it all ended well, or so I hope, but had I not been loud and demanding they woud have actually sent me home with a useless computer that had worked when I gave it to them... even though I had a paid up Geek Squad service policy to cover it. STAY AWAY! I purchased an Apple MacBook, and went to Best Buy in Pasadena hoping to exchange for a different color. The man helping was very blunt and passive aggressive. If I asked a question he seemed to lose patience quickly and responded as if it an idiot. When he was handling the exchange, he dropped the MacBook on the counter from a few inches up, not enough to cause damage but enough for me to be uncomfortable to take it back. When he told me I had to pay a difference for another color same specs, I told him I won't do that. He handed me back the laptop frustrated as if I wasted his time. I asked for the manager, who was better at calmly explaining why I couldn't exchange. I still felt bad about it but accepted it. When I told the manager I can't accept the laptop I originally am exchanging, at first he reasoned I couldn't. But when I brought up that the cashier dropped it and I'm uncomfortable, the cashier tried justifying but admitted. The manager allowed me to then swap. Unfortunately for the same exact color I didn't want. When I asked if I could price match (B&H offered the color I wanted for around the same price I paid.) the manager declined explaining there's no margin for gain for price matching apple products. They had what I wanted in stock but did NOT honor the price match. I drove about 2 hours to the Rancho Cucamonga location. When I explained the situation, they exchanged for the color I wanted and honored the price match. However, as the sale ended the previous day, I was not offered the Best Buy member price. So I still had to pay a difference of $40. I'm extremely frustrated with this situation and I'm hesitant to recommend Best Buy to anyone. So many negative reviews; I must have gotten really lucky. Bought a big tv here and had so much trouble with installation that I gave up and returned it. A month later I reconsidered, bought it again and paid for Geek Squad. They completely solved all my problems. Can't say enough about Jose (JC) Correa: so smart, patient, responsive to little things that came up even weeks after. While installing my tv he got a call urging him to hurry to the next job but he wouldn't do it. Wouldn't leave until I was comfortable. Seems to know everything about this work. Would buy from Best Buy and use Geek Squad again. Definitely read more

This place manages to be a disaster yet AGAIN. We made an appointment to replace our iphone 7 battery. Drive all the way there and they tell us they don't service phones that old. Then why let us make the appointment?? They even asked us what phone we have when we reserved a time slot LOL. What a disaster.. read more

Bought a TV online through the BestBuy website and the TV does not work when I plugged it in. Brought it to this BestBuy and they won't accept the return? They told me to go to a different location and return it there. What is the point of this BestBuy if I cannot return the TV I bought online to this store? What a waste of time. read more

Just went to Best Buy in Pasadena to purchase a microwave and received the BEST service from Berenice. Our microwave died so we wanted to replace it as soon as possible. (Believe it or not there is a huge back order on them.) Berenice was quite knowledgeable and explained the various options, brands and ratings. She didn't try to oversell us, which we appreciated. Generally they can deliver and install within 2-3 days, for some reason the system was giving us a date 2 weeks away. Berenice tried several options and finally came up with a way to get it done this week. She went above and beyond to provide us with excellent service. Kudos to Berenice!! read more

Where do I start?? First off the only reason I can justify any stars are the salesman Jason - HE IS AMAZING TOP NOTCH PROFESSIONAL AND EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I've purchased 4 appliances from him, this was my 5th. We saw an open box Kitchen Aid slide in stove. My dad, I, Jason and another salesman Andy I think-he places it on the floor and said he couldn't see any marks or dents. We took pictures, purchased a vent and were excited for our new appliances! Well when the delivery team came with my stove a couple days later, the gorgeous stove had MAJOR DENTS ON THE SIDE you can see in the pictures!! I was appalled, I called the delivery Dept. And I have to say they are the WORST EMPLOYEES I HAVE EVER SPOKEN TO! THEY DIS NOT CARE, OFFERED NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, DID NOT APOLOGIZE AND SAID I PURCHASED OPEN BOX SO IF I HAVE A PROBLEM TO CALL THE STORE!! I advised them just because I purchased open box it did not give the warehouse and delivery employees FREE REIGN to damage my purchased stove!! The girl said she would refer to a manager to call me back, I am still waiting over a week later! So, you think , how could it get any worse??? See my next review! The salesman said they had another exact same item Luis, manager said they had another item I can exchange with a small dent in the back. OK I SAY, I'll take a look. We go it's acceptable and I purchase an exchange and wait for BEst Buy Pasadena delivery team to re-deliver my new item today and exchange the damaged stove. Stand by for the next story.... 2nd delivery today with replacement stove , STOVE HAS DENTS ON THE SIDES JUST LIKE THE FIRST one!!! Delivery team customer service gave no apologies was rude and hung up on me. This new stove was damaged more than the new one in my house! I'm appalled!! What is wrong with this store!? Went to this location last weekend because I needed new speakers and I was pretty turned away by Ricardo G in the auto audio department. He told me I needed a certain kind of speakers that only the car manufacturer had. I hope Best Buy realizes they lost a customer for good. I ended up finding a family owned audio place that installed comparable speakers, at a great price and I'm glad I did. Way better to support small businesses than large companies with lazy employees! read more

I spent some time on the phone with tech support concerning my laptop and the frequent fan noise that was going on. The phone tech support person was helpful, had me complete some disabling of certain programs and it seemed to have helped. He mentioned my 3 year warranty and so I thought that included a "tune up" at the local Best Buy. He even scheduled a convenient appointment for me. When I went to the tech service desk and explained my issue, the woman there said my warranty was for the hard drive or something about breaking it? But she was clear it would not cover a tune up. What? I was pretty upset, so I asked how would they know if something was wrong with the hard drive if they didn't check it? Then she said she would give me a complimentary diagnostic check, but I would have to leave my computer and that could take up to 4 days!! Very unhappy with a lack of information from the phone support! Wasted my time today. Will not be buying anything from Best Buy in the future. read more
