He greeted me asked if he could help me find something so I told him that their website said they have 1 item left and he went to look for it himself and all though he did come back empty handed he explained that the website could not be accurate which I understood. Today's experience with Best Buy was a master class on how to put the nail in the coffin of brick and mortar retail. I am a so called Best Buy "Elite" customer which I presume I achieved for being a loyal customer for over two decades. As such, Best Buy gives me 30 days to return items as opposed to their standard 15 day return policy. Today, I attempted to return an unused item on day 31 and was denied by Jessica Pan, the manager of the store. Her words were "It's not that I don't want to help you, but I can't." as she handed me the Best Buy Customer Support phone number and sent me on my way. So, I called Best Buy customer support and spoke with a gentleman named "George." George started off very enthusiastic about finding a solution only to come back after a discussion with his manager to let me know there was nothing he could do either. In today's world, there are really only two reasons to shop brick and mortar retail and that is experience and good old fashion customer service. If the manager of the store and/or the manager at the call center had any idea what the words "customer service" mean or cared at all about the well being of the company they work for, they would have seen this as an opportunity to keep an "Elite" customer happy, garnering even more loyalty. Instead, they chose to deny an unused return because it was 1 day beyond the return policy date. If there's anyone at Best Buy that is actually empowered to make a decision like flexing your policy by 1 day to keep a loyal customer happy, I'd urge you to take a look at my purchased history over the last twenty years. This is regarding my experience ordering and attempting to get delivery on a refrigerator. Everything was done on line. The delivery failed, because they did not read the instructions and sent the wrong sized truck. I have food spoiling because we were waiting for the new refrigerator. The phone rep educated me to their processes, which I don't care about. What I do care about is getting my refrigerator as soon as possible and as close to the date Best Buy offered and agreed to. Now it looks like they can't even reschedule the delivery today, because someone else needs to close out the current ticket and etc. Then it takes four days to get on the small truck delivery schedule. So I escalated to a supervisor. They couldn't get it to work, so I had the technician take the camera system back because I didn't want to take possession of the items. I was told that the charge would be credited. Furthermore, the salesperson scheduled another home consultation with me for today between 10:00 a.m. and noon. They never showed up or contact me about today's appointment and they never credited the charge for the items I never received. Located in the same plaza as Nordstrom Rack, Bed Bath & Beyond and Petsmart (opposite side from Petsmart), I came by this Best Buy on my most recent visit this past Friday for some after Thanksgiving shopping. I am never a fan of Best Buy but since we were already in this plaza shopping at the other stores, we decided to come in. It was a little after 12 pm when we entered and it wasn't as crowded as I was expecting. We headed over to the cell phone area because I am currently in the market for another one to replace my current phone (I last got my phone 3 years ago and sadly the battery life is incredibly poor and the phone itself has froze here and there). I am definitely not an Apple phone person (apples are for eating, I am am a PC and Android girl all the way) but my husband was rather insistent that I consider the special Black Friday iPhone special. We also looked at the Samsung phone special as well, along with other phones on display. For myself, I prefer a small phone that I can handle one handed instead of needing to use both hands. We were helped by the incredibly friendly and enthusiastic manager, Ivo. To be working retail, especially on a very busy holiday weekend is a challenge to be energized and helpful, but Ivo provided wonderful customer service and answered my questions. In the end, I left with a new phone and an enjoyable shopping experience overall. read more

When I did speak to someone at the delivery company, Shannon said it doesn't matter what is on the work order, we will take the stove if you ask us. So the Haul away for $29.99 is irrelevant. 5/6/19: Came to purchase a new blue tooth for my cellphone. Approached salesperson Eddie, who said he could help me. Selection of models were shown. But, in the middle of helping me his attention was constantly diverted and 100% devoted to TEXTING on his phone. What happened to paying attention, LISTENING to the customer? No customer service smile or enthusiasm whatsoever. I chose a model, at which time I asked if he can help me pair the device to my phone if I bought the selected model. Eddie said yes, he can. Big mistake! This person had to read the instructions for a long time to even figure how to pair the bluetooth. Then, he said he couldn't do it, because the battery was too low. Instead of him doing a quick charge just to get the bluetooth paired as promised he was in a real rush to get rid of me so that he could make another sale. He said to go home and charge it. Telling my husband what happened he told me to return the product immediately, since "I should not do business with a store that hates customers", as my husband put it. I did return the item and told the "customer service" department about the service previously received. To top it off, the customer service dept. person had an equally "I hate customers", no smile-look on his face too! God bless America, lol, no wonder why stores are closing by the droves nowadays. Tried to reach technician. called Best Buy Pasadena as that is his base. after 25 minutes on hold, someone finally answered the phone for the geek squad . Nice enough, but apparently was having computer problems and couldn't schedule the REDO that I was definitely in need of. she transferred me to total tech team . Sean, allegedly a supervisor, answered, and with full bullshit, said it was not a redo appointment ..... I asked to speak to a supervisor. He told me he was and that he would stay in the line until he could connect me with someone that could help. Within two minutes the call was disconnected Each time you talk to someone they ask you for your name and phone number so they can call you back if you get disconnected .... Did not happen! 40 minutes has now passed since I started this. I then called the Pasadena store wanting to speak to a manager. Good luck! You cannot get anyone on the phone! I pushed the appropriate number for tech or computer and at 8:30 PM and get a message saying the store is closing soon well the store hours are 10 AM to 9 PM. I think 30 minutes is enough time for someone to pick up a phone and try to reach a manager to deal with this viable complaint. So caveat emptor! And beware of the geek squad . read more

I had purchased a vehicle dashcam Thinkware F790 before at Pasadena store, and it broke as a defective product. Then, I brought it back and was getting the store credit for exchange. I brought an OBD-II cable and a Thinkware X1000 model dashcam, but the agent didn't specify the address apartment number, and I informed him about the issue because UPS or Fexed will not deliever without the correct address. The person asked a more experienced person in store, and doing the return and re-purchase again. He stated the credit had been sent back to my original credit card, and I would need to purchase both OBD-II cable and dashcam again. I noticed on the purchased touch pad indicating side camera but not OBD-II cable. He stated I will be getting the OBD-II and dashcam shipped to my address. I used best buy app to check the order, but not noticing the OBD-II cable, and I used online customer support chat on 4-3 and was informed I will be getting the OBD-II cable at the store for installation on the same day. I called the best buy store next day on 4-4 just to confirm what the online customer support person stated is true. The person assured me that I will not be getting the OBD-II cable at home but I will pick up on the day when my dashcam installed. I went to my vehicle dashcam installation appointment today on 4-15, but was told no OBD-II cable, and the other store from Campton tried to ship but canceled. I went in to the store and talk to the female store manager, and explained to her everything about the situation, and she originally asked me to purchase the OBD-II cable again, and I refused and told her that I had purchased already in the past. Then, she reordered the OBD-II cable and stated she will communicate with the technician at the installed bay to waive the installation fee because if OBD-II cable and dashcam installed together then free of charge for total tech member, but if buying separately then will need to be charge. I was really dissatify with the customer care provided by this store. I need to spend twice the time to have a simple OBD-II cable and dashcam installed, and I was asked to pay twice for something I had already purchased which the item had not even sent to me or available for me to pick up at the store. The store manager does not seem to look into the issue as she should have investigate for the customer. I notice the person who helped me before share the same last name as the store manager, and not sure this is somewhat related with the way things were handled. While I was at the vehicle installed bay, there was another customer who had waited one month for the appointment and also expereinced some issue with the product and would need to return as well. She stated the agents in the store were just trying to sale stuffs and not even know what the customer wants and need and she should just talk to the technicians here first before buying any vehicle products. I called the support line and wish to speak with someone for the complaint and was directed to leave a message here. I am not sure this message will be reviewed or not, but I do want to voice my opinion and my bad personal experience here at the store to other customers. Good place to shop for technological necessities, but they added some new stuff at the entrance. They have customers lining up in front of the store and although they are limiting the amount of people into the store which is good, they are also asking people some unnecessary questions making the process of shopping not so efficient. This guy asks the customers what's their name, why are they shopping, what specifically are they looking for, and the brand of the product. Obviously customers want to browse for the best deals, but this guy tells the customers to hurry and go in and get what you need then get out. He also tells them to not look around. I understand covid is still here, but if they really want to be safe, shouldn't shopping just be online and have their stores closed? I was looking for a printer, scanner, fax machine and needed one right away. With Best Buy being one of the few storefront electronics stores around, there's a good selection to choose from. It's easy to find your way around this store and the sales persons here are helpful. Sales persons were along the isles there to help me answer questions. Within 15 minutes, I found what I needed. I didn't need to go to the front to wait in line. Best Buy has stations where you can purchase from. They were nice enough to get a cart for me. Best time to purchase or browse here is during the week. Try Monday's. This place is empty and parking is easy. read more

Be careful with all the wolf in sheepskin employees in this store - they have 1 job and 1 job only that is to sell you stuff, they do not care about customer service and their policy of price match! So misinformed about their products, they are practically useless. You can easily verify this by the amount of people returning products because they don't do what the salespeople told them it would do. Sound for my Sony 4k tv and kitchen, family room, front patio and pool area. The best and knowledge was suburb. Called on 07/12/18 made an appointment with Geek Squad over the phone with a quote of $39.99 to install Cooling fan, then showed up for our appt the following day and was quoted $99.99 a higher amount previously quoted over the phone just to install a cooling fan in the desktop. My Son & I left disappointed and called, spoke with Geek Squad Mgr (Burbank) he made our appt same day @ 3:20pm. Drove to Burbank Best Buy was quoted $39.99 left 3:40pm, Geek Squad Technician called an hour later. Cooling fan installed no problem. FYI- Geek Squad in Pasadena are incompetent & overly charging customers and they don't keep their word. The corporate number said they couldn't help me (and they said there is no way to reach people who could make changes in the computer) so they said I was stuck with the store. A pretty good system. I don't know what happened to this Best Buy! Came here to buy some toner and found the boxes, but they were all over the place and not in the correct location next to their price tags. Didn't know if our toner was the exact same model as the one we had got, so went to ask for help. The person who helped did not give us any knowledgeable fact. Might as well not have helped us at all! He just said ... it should be there! Thanks, buddy. Came back with a box and asked another man and he was more helpful. He took out the toner to find the model number, typed some stuff on the computer and told us the box we had found was NOT the right one and that their store was out of the particular model we needed for our printer. The bf didn't agree and so we checked it out on-line and apparently it WAS right for the printer. -_- I guess he was trying to be helpful and help us to find the right product, but it didn't really help. :/ Later, went to look for some refrigerators. Asked the guys at the table if they had any mini-fridges. One guy was busy writing some stuff down and the other was busy playing games on his phone. They were of no help to us either. The best shot if you want to find something is to do it yourself. They've also gone down on customer service. A few years ago, they would immediately greet customers at the door and ask them if they need help. Now, they no longer do that. We were not asked at all during our trip to Best Buy.
