I went to the Racine store with a blind friend. She needed to buy a new phone. Samara (sp?) went above and beyond what a salesperson would do. She not only patiently counted out the forty dollar bills (all ones and folded) and kept my friend updated on what the count was, but she enlarged the numbers on the box and wrote them out for the phone to be activated. I came to the store to purchase a monitor. I knew what I wanted. When I entered the store a female asked if I needed help and I said no, I knew where to go. Well I found the monitor and looked online and said there were two in the store, but I didn't see any on the shelves I couldn't find an employee and went to the check out area. I asked if there was someone who could help me get a monitor. That same female employee was near the cashier and stated, "well I asked you if you needed help when you walked in and you said no,". I helped my Mom whose 72 purchase a brand new refrigerator. Best Buy's sales rep "Tye" found 2 custom models in bright gloss white that fit perfectly in my mother's condo. He also helped us understand how a package of new appliances before my mother retires would be a huge savings and make her condo worth a lot more when she sells. Lol one draw back was that she did not want the water line hooked up because she has an under the sink water filter system already and the delivery guy turned the water/Ice system on before leaving. My mom asked why does the fridge keep making a pop sound. Lol I hit the ice/water system switch to off and presto no more pop sound. She is very happy! read more

Went in looking for the Soundbar system I saw on their website to see about listening to it. The audio section looks like they took it out of Walmart. Nothing set up, nothing marked. Open box items marked as "excellent" condition was missing remotes. It's been like that for the past year and they say it's in the middle of being redone. For over a year?!? I had some serious questions about the new apple products that I usually just look up online but decided to just at Best Buy while I was there. I didn't expect to get much answers... just thought I'd ask since the apple specialist asked if I had any questions. Kelsie was not only friendly, but also super knowledgeable and answered all my technical questions. The apple section, mobile phone section, and the appliances sections were all very well staffed with friendly people asking if I needed help. My friends got their Verizon phone done here and came back to the same guy for help on their second phone because they liked the service so much. Great customer service and attitude from the G-Squad desk support staff. (Waleed, Gage) Sadly, there was only 1 PC they were using to resolve phone issues. Despite having an appointment, I still had to wait another 30+ minutes for my device to be taken to get worked on. That took another 30+ minutes and unsuccessfully at that. I was advised to contact Apple IT Support for further resolution. To be clear, I had asked how long would the entire process take. The wait time/troubleshooting seemed reasonable for me; I had the time and didn't mind waiting in the store for my turn. The personnel were quite lovely, including other agents who found me browsing and helped with product info. I purchased an egift card, the system tells you you'll receive it within 2-3 hours. Never got it. I contact them and an agent tells me within 24 hours. 24 hours later, no gift card. I contact them again only to be told they don't know when I'll receive it, just "soon." There's no way for them to expedite the order or really address your concern. They just say it's up to their verification team, who they have no way of contacting. So buy an egift card and you essentially have no idea when you're going to get it. Two printers (hardware problem?) sent back within a year. A week to get anyone to my business to come in just to determine what I already knew. Now the computer, magain less than a year old, not working. My computer is the way I process payments. So another call in to them to see how long it will take them to get here. Honestly I am so disappointed with Best Buy right now. I was told they would price match a laptop for the $179 I paid. I went to the store to do it and was told they couldn't even though customer service told me they would, I filed a BBB complaint and the person who responded said that I knew how to contact them and then stopped responding. It is not my fault the tech made an error. It is unethical and terrible business for them to say they would price match and then not price match the laptop. It was not my error it was Best Buy's so the fact that no one is responding is why I will not return. I've used Best Buy a lot over the years & as a retail store they're fine. But this week I bought a new stove from them & paid for the delivery & install. They came the first time, said that a fitting was the wrong size so they couldn't do the install, AND that I had to go get the right size fitting because they don't carry them with them -- but couldn't tell me what that size actually was. So I (completely clueless about all of this) had to go to the hardware store to with some vague description of what I needed. I bought every size they had, figuring one of them would be right. Then, they never rescheduled the new installation date; luckily I called to check & found out there was nothing on the calendar. So go that scheduled. Meanwhile my new stove sat in the garage for a week. New guys come out, take one look, and say that the original fitting is just fine, no need to get a new one, and probably the first guys just "didn't want to do it." WHAT?!? And, the final coup: they didn't give me the instruction book for the stove, so now I'll have to track that down too. NEVER AGAIN! read more

I'm only giving this one star because zero isn't an option. My complaint is specifically with the Geek Squad at this location. I have a MacAir laptop. It needs a new battery. During the appointment set-up process, this was made apparent (all of the make, model, and problem). I set up an appointment ten days in advance. I received six notifications about this appointment from Best Buy. Nowhere in this entire process did they tell me that they don't actually do repairs onsite. I'd have to pay $85 to ship it to Geek Squad Central (wherever that happens to be) and wait for at least a week after they receive it (whenever the locals decided to ship plus no more than four days to get anywhere in the continental US) for a quote on how much. At that point, I can decide to have them order the part (another four to six weeks) and then fix it to ship it back (at how much ever cost to me for the return shipping). This entire debacle could have been avoided by a simple: Only Geek Squad Central is actually an Apple-authorized repair center. Instead, the local Geek Squad employee (already late for my appointment, and I had the very first one of the day on a Saturday) told me I'd be better off taking it to Mayfair (an hour-and-a-half from where I live) before telling me the entire sad affair above. It was obvious from the very start that he didn't want to help me. He told me to got to Milwaukee before he even sat down opposite me. This is close to the worst retail experience I've ever had, not least because a simple fix requires a three-hour round trip (and possibly more wait if that particular Apple Store doesn't actually have the part in stock). Thanks Best Buy and Geek Squad. I will absolutely never return and I will tell at least hundreds of people never to bother going there. (I believe she had a contract or paid extended warranty or something.) No matter what extension i try no answer. in time of COVID I do not want to walk into a store unless I know the product can be found and I can be there as short a time as possible. I received a letter from best buy that they are closing my best buy visa account for supposed inactivity on my card and my credit score...i just paid them over 900.00 usd to clear my card about 2 weeks ago....they said according to my credit score of 390, which when i look at my score on credit karma its over 500 which i know isnt good but its not 390 they claim they have a "internal system" which calculates it differently....boo on best buys customer service i will buy my goods elsewhere...you just lost a customer. I purchased a computer there as a Christmas gift went to open it not even a month later and found that it had a pressure point that messed up the screen when I went to try to return it they informed me that if that it happened and store it could've been fixed had I brought it in within a week of purchase so if you're buying any presents for anybody please make sure that you're checking them within a week because if you don't then you wind up with a $400 paperweight or you can pay more money and get it fixed seems like a scam to me. read more

Worst customer service I have ever seen. Purchased a 48 inch Visio TV from this store. Unpacked it and set it up. The TV did not work. Returned the TV to the store and advised them it did not work and asked if we could return it for a replacement. Wendy and Erica in the Television section accused us of being liars and damaging the TV. We did not damage the TV and handled it very carefully. They are both rude and snippy. The store manager was nicer but ultimately no help. He saw the multiple scratches on the TV and admitted that it might have been damaged in shipping but there was nothing he could do. I see on Best Buy's Facebook page that there are many unhappy customers. Its a safe bet that I will never set foot in another Best Buy and I will tell my story every place that I can. Who sells the customer a broken product and then refuses to replace it. Your return policy is an absolute joke and then your employees have zero customer service skills. Does Best Buy not train their sales associates? Do your self a favor and avoid this big blue ripoff shop and buy from a more reputable electronics dealer like Target or Walmart who will treat you much better. read more

so I made an order online for a windows 10 operating system and was having someone else pick it up but accidently put my name down instead of the other persons. So i call in to see if there a way to change it. So a guy named kyle answers and attempts to walk me through how to do it. but the options he was trying to have me do wasnt coming up on my phone. So then he says "well theres nothing we can do about it and hangs up on me. So i then call back and i believe the next guys name is Owen and he tells me to 'just cancel and re-order it the money doesnt actually come out of your account until the item is picked up" which was a lie because i told him I was charged for the item as soon as I placed the order. but i go on and cancel it anyways thinking he might be right. so then I place the order again under the correct name this time. but now my card was charged a second time for the same item and none of the money has come back to my account as of now so I then canceled my second order. Now i am frustrated that neither of the guys have given me a solution to my problem and now i have to wait how many days for my money to return because they didnt know either what the fuck they were talking about or how to fix the problem correctly. Salesman, Christopher, proved to be knowledgeable, talked to Alex of Geek Squad about upgrading my existing computer but it wasn't practical. Back to Christopher who researched Best Buy's inventory to find the right computer for my needs. Saved a ton of money and got a better computer. read more

They say they have a Price Match Guarantee but then when you go into the store they come up with all kinds of excuses of why they can't match the price. "Best Buy Lies". They have lost another customer for life. Why would I drive an extra 20 miles to buy something from Best Buy if they had it at the store I am currently at? I was told since it wasn't currently in stock at Walmart they would not match the price that Walmart had it marked for. I actually bought one at Walmart and had a reciept for the one I bought. The Racine, WI. Best Buy Manager tells me a million reason and keeps on changing them as to not price match the price. So they should advertise that we price match when we feel like it unless we think we may loose money cause who cares about loosing the customer. read more

I entered Best Buy in order to find an apple adaptor for my iPhone 7 plus and my earbuds. I could not find them where other apple connections were. After about 20 minutes scouring the floor, a salesman asked if he could help. I told him I needed an Apple adaptor for my earbud. He quickly went and to me a package of two. I went home and tried them, My phone quickly responded that the buds were not supported by my phone. I then contacted the company that makes the buds, telling them that these buds didn't work. After they attempted to find out the problem, they sent me new buds. these again did not work. I ordered an adaptor that was specifically sold as Apple. Both earbuds now work perfectly. Knockoff earbuds do not work with my phone. If you are selling these to people who have iPhones, they are not going to work. you need to reimburse anyone wo has bought these knockoffs and get them out of your stores. Your salesmen need to know something about products before they sell junk to customers. I will continue to shop elsewhere on line. read more
