I should have used the Auto Installer like Audio Express, etc., nearby in case anything went wrong or needed further attention. Unfortunately, my truck failed inspection because the Best Buy technician did not properly install the reader that the admissions must use to read the readings on your vehicle . The job was halfway done when I encountered issues with the Remote Start they installed with the female port of the key fob. This port broke, preventing you from charging the Remote Start to the vehicle. Now I have to try to get that replaced under my covered warranty with Best Buy. The name of the store should be Worst Buy. Overall, the customer service was terrible. They should either go out of business or switch to an online-only model, similar to Circuit City. It's too bad they are a monopoly on TVs, surround sound systems, computers, electronics, etc. I definitely would not recommend these guys at all. It amazes me how much information these foreign countries have on us, US citizens, so these greedy CEOs can keep making their millions and paying workers in Guatemala a dollar a day or whatever it is. What I got instead was a 5-second verdict. The associate literally handed the device back, saying the repair would be "expensive" and that I should buy a new iPad-- without opening it without testing it without diagnosing the actual issue without even trying to check A DROP OFF appointment. And zero inspection happened. Then came the real twist. When I purchased the Best Buy Total Tech / repair subscription on 4/4/2025, I was clearly told: ANY electronic device (laptops, iPhones, Android phones, tablets, etc.) is covered for 1-year repairs -- regardless of where it was purchased. At the counter I was told the opposite: Only devices bought from Best Buy, and only if purchased AFTER the membership date, are eligible for repair coverage. So basically: what was sold to me what is being delivered to me. Today felt less like customer service and more like: "Don't repair it... replace it. And buy it from us." Purchased a microwave and when opened, box not fully sealed the plate inside was stained with dried liquid, inside was greasy and dirty as well. Called and wa stole it wasn't an open box but somehow it was filthy inside. Parts opened as if someone. Somehow opened bags and unwrapped. Solely based on customer experience. I went in to try on the ours ring and I couldn't find it at first. So I went to the front to ask for some help. There were two ladies, I'm pretty sure it said geek squad on her shirt and her name was "Monica" I asked them if they knew where I could find the ring at. And she responded very rudely to check with customer service. I am a very kind person very understanding and the rudeness just wasn't necessary. The computer repair section has some top notch repair technicians. One in particular, Miguel helped me bring my hacked Desktop computer back up and running. A complete scan and repair was done. Miguel further provided me with knowledge on what to look for when a hacker gets into my computer and how to rid of his presence. I am totally impressed with his knowledge and advice. I bought Samsung 24 cell phone and protection plan from best buy. I brought my phone in for a screen repair and paid 199 for the repair. After receiving my phone back I immediately notice the phone would not keep calls. I went back to the geek squad but they denied damaging the phone. I finally sent the phone to Samsung who said that the mother board was damage. Best buy refuses to fix or replace the phone. This company is horrible to consumers. It's a typical Best Buy. The store is always clean, but the shelves are often cluttered, with items in the wrong place. I came here recently to purchase a few home theater items as well as new camera lenses for my Nikon. I was not very impressed with the selection. However, I received great customer service here as usual. During a recent visit, I was immediately greeted upon arrival, and was asked if I needed help finding anything. The woman who helped me was fantastic, and extremely knowledgeable about the cameras and what they had in stock. When it came to finding the home theater items, she solicited the aid of a coworker, who was equally as knowledgeable and helpful. Color me impressed. Both of them were awesome, and offered to order what I wanted online, and pick it up later from them. However I did not want to buy anything without seeing it in person first. That said, I did not leave disappointed, and would still come back to this place in a heartbeat. read more

I bought two TV's here & when I came home & plugged in my new 70 inch Insignia, I found out the TV didn't work at all. There was a line across the top of the screen & I was immediately disappointed. I went to exchange my TV on my day off & dealt with an associate by the name of Hector M. He told me there was no way the TV was sold damaged & refused my return. He didn't offer any further assistance & when I asked if there was any other manager I could speak to he told me "yeah but he's not here right now so he can't help you." He was extremely rude & unprofessional. He didn't even bother inspecting the TV & said that he wouldn't accept the exchange due to "customer damage." Some items seem to be a little bit more pricey than they are at their competitors such as target or Walmart then again target and Walmart and electronic stores the big box stores. It is hot or miss there, and that is an issue. One the positive side the person in the audio department did not try and up sell me, and actually gat me what I needed and was quite pleasant. If Best Buy had its own personal hell it would be at this location in South Tucson. I needed a heavy duty laser printer for my small business. After doing my research online, I went into the store to do my due diligence and hopefully lean more. I feel better about making large purchases in person and had gone to Beat Buy with the intention of taking the printer I needed home. The store was so DIRTY and all the printers had a thick layer of grime and dust everywhere. There were obvious broken display printers on display, one printer had a handwritten sticky note on it warning customers of broken glass on the display screen. After 3 associates claiming they would be "right back" and waiting my turn for about 30min, I was addressed by a sales associate. After explaining what I was looking for (in as much detail as I could), another woman came screaming from behind me "I was first! I was first!" The sales associate then proceeded to ignore me and assist the screaming woman as he walked past me. I left the store and went to Office Depot where my experience was 100x better and I ended up purchasing the high capacity printer I needed, replacement toner, and paper for the next 3 months. Office Max should send Best Buy (at the Santa Cruz location) a thank you card for sending them so many customers. Just runaway from this particular Best Buy and never look back! read more

I toss and turn as my bad dream has me needing to buy something fast while the salesmen ignore me, the items I want are all out of stock, and the toilet is in the middle of the store with no privacy. Unfortunately, this is how I felt during my actual (waking) trip to this new Best Buy store. Well, all except for the toilet thing. We brought back a flash drive which we purchased 3 weeks ago. Our refund was denied because Best Buy has a 2 week return policy . Amazon has a more liberal and user friendly policy when it comes to returns. I love this Best Buy. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I don't even need to ask for assistance, it is always offered of the associates own will. I have found that they are always knowledgeable on the products I have questions and concerns about. I am so happy that there is a Best Buy on my side of town. It's wonderful and convenient. The young lady who helped me with my questions and knew everything I needed answered. I feel horrible because I can't remember her name. I believe it was Yira or Yara...she helped me with my purchase of my Nintendo Switch and made sure to inform me on all the specs and details of the product and the insurance that I could purchase should the product ever be damaged. Eventually the guy from Cox cable came over and gave me a hand. They found a blue shirt with a ladder to grab the TV off the shelf, they rang me up and I left. There was zero customer service. I was wandering around the store for a good 10 minutes before anyone asked if I needed help. If it weren't for the Cox guy, I would probably still be there. I am extremely disappointed and $30 poorer. I had budgeted a new ink cartridge into my plans, but no more. I went in to the Best Buy at Spectrum Plaza and purchased a new cartridge set for my printer. I asked an associate for help and he chose the one for the printer I said I had. I get home, open the package only to find it is a lot fatter than the cartridges in my printer. WRONG SIZE!!!! The next day I return to customer service and I am informed that they cannot refund me my money because the package has been opened. REALLY?!?!? Was not able to return an item due to my elite status changing (had no idea this could happen) therefore different status have different return policies and was turned away for being a few days too late. I've been a customer for many years and spent thousands of dollars with this company yet they did not bother to take that into consideration or make an exception. I understand policies need to be followed but the message was not delivered in a professional manner by the mobile lead named Jon. He was very sarcastic and short and that made me feel worse.
