This by far is the best dental office I've ever been too! Everyone is SO CARING! I usually see Bryan for cleanings and he really helps make patients feel at ease as well as taking his time answering any questions. Susie always has a radiantly positive attitude that definitely makes you feel comfortable being at the dentist. I had a filling done today and I was beyond nervous at first. Dr. Marat and Susie were both very accommodating and helped me calm my anxiety. Getting fillings in the past always had me gripping the arm rest for dear life but not here! My old dentist retired and I took 2 years to find a new one. That meant that what could probably have been dealt with as a cavity had I just not waited became a root canal. But they have been great. Gentle. Explanatory. Quick to get me back in for each new step. Only weird thing was my first appointment wasn't for a cleaning which I had thought that it was. It was a check and review first. I came here to fix an issue and left with a collection notice (bill) that was created from x-rays that were to verify the problem THEY caused, in their words, "everything is ok." I'm stilling having problems and continue every day to have pain chewing on the left side. Also, for the first time in my adult life, I have a gap in my front teeth. They should pay me, not ask money for their attempted and failed services. The staff had been wonderful, the results gravely negative. Go to fix something when NOT in pain, and leave with a lifetime of pain with a collection notice. Really! read more

Talk about a professional establishment. I've had to switch dental places every other year due to moving a lot and changing jobs so I've had experience with various different places. Pros: - Easy and expansive parking in the lot that they are in - Everyone is really nice- from the receptionist to dental assistant Suzie, and Dr. Korb - They accept my insurance with is Dental Aetna - During the check up Dr. Korb recorded his examination (never had a dentist do that) - Got to do my checkup and cleaning in the same session - Free toothbrush and floss after I hate going to the dentist because its a bunch of potential drilling and prodding but this wasn't so bad. read more

I'd like to preface this by saying that I have gone to this dental office for over 25 years, and never had issues until I had to cancel an appointment due to a serious medical emergency. This review is not for the dental hygienists or the dentists of the office, but for the office manager whose name slips my mind, and whom was the last person I spoke to on the phone from this office. They have a 48 hour cancellation policy for their appointments, which I had always obliged and rarely had to use. For this particular appointment, I called the day before (24 hours) due to an unforeseeable medical issue I was experiencing. When I spoke with the office manager and told her my situation, the tone of her voice suggested she was annoyed, was asked if I was "sure" I couldn't keep my appointment, and was not asked to reschedule. I was never again contacted to reschedule, and frankly got the impression they didn't want my business anymore. Fast forward a year later, after my family and I moved a town over but I still wanted to keep going to the same dentist. I sent in an appointment request online for myself and for my husband separately. Within 24 hours, my husband was contacted to set up an appointment. Days, weeks, months go by- I was never contacted. This led me to believe I was placed on some sort of "do not call" list. All for having to cancel an appointment last minute, which is understandably not ideal, but something I had to do and had never done in the past. To have given business to this dentistry for as many years as I had and to be disregarded simply for an emergency cancellation seems to be a very poor business practice to me. If you never plan on having to cancel last minute this practice may work for you, although I will say, I could not have foreseen this and was completely shocked when it happened. read more

Make sure that you have all information about your coverage. They will never tell the truth about your options, especially when they(the dental office)are not exactly in your insurance coverage network and while you will be paying all of the sudden astronomical price for the same service, blaming your insurance, it is actually their abnormal financial desires which do not meet your provider's expectation. Their simple explanation "It's your responsibility to find out" AKA "We don't give a ..... that we rip you off, even if you were with us many years". read more

UPDATE: I really cannot say enough good things about this dental office. I just had an appt for a cavity filling. I've developed quite a fear of the pain involved with any and all procedures so I really get myself worked up! Dr. Merat said the filling was going to be pretty shallow and she didn't think I needed any anesthetic. Of course I start shaking, heart racing and my eyes start watering. Dr. Merat and Susie both assure me I'll be okay. Dr. Merat worked gently and slowly as Susie rubbed my shoulder and kept checking in with me. They both reminded me to breath and to relax. 15 minutes later it was over and I could have burst into tears I was so happy!!! Dr. Merat and Susie... honestly, you are both incredibly gifted and I'm beginning to believe that I don't have to fear the dental chair! Love you guys!!! read more

I wanted to find a new dental office and being in the dental field I'm extremely particular on who I get to clean my teeth. Bryan the hygienist was very thorough and has a high regard to a patients standard of care that other offices lack. I liked that he checks your gum measurement and tells you where you can improve especially at your first visit. I was very happy that they were able to squeeze me in before I delivered my baby. They were extremely accommodating. The only critique I would have is I wish they would do the doctors exam and cleaning on the same day for new patients to avoid an extra trip. 6 stars. Who loves their dentist? I sure do! This is my first time writing a review for a dentist because I was blown away by Dr. Merat and her amazing staff. I like to give credit where it's deserved, and Dr. Merat no doubt deserves recognition for her knowledge and expertise. I've switched dentists countless times; in fact, I even dated one for two years and have heard enough stories about shady, money-hungry dentists misdiagnosing patients. Upon coming in for my first check up, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff. After a quick 5 minutes, I was called in. The dental assistant asked if I had any concerns and I told her about the recent tooth ache on the left side of my mouth. I was almost positive that it was a cavity. When Dr. Merat came in, she did the most thorough examination of my teeth. She looked at each individual tooth and blurted out some dental language regarding the condition of each tooth while her assistant jotted down notes on a clipboard. My teeth felt so loved and cared for - it was as though each tooth mattered. When I told her about my tooth ache, she took a look at the x-rays and told me that I was cavity free. She attributed the problem to sinuses, and was on point. I do have bad sinuses and after fixing the problem, my toothache went away. Thank you, Dr. Merat! Her knowledge of dentistry surpasses many I've encountered thus far. Father always says that when you do something, you should do it right from start to finish. Dr. Merat has demonstrated that she is a dentist worthy of praise and if she knew my father, he would be proud. read more

Ruined my life, ruined my work and ruined my time. He messed up all my life for last 9 months by ruining a simple filling and turning that into ROOT CANAL! and then removal of my teeth which only required a top layer filling, and then he put a crown which he wasn't able to even align the fitting. Be careful, he messes up your filling and then he claims there was a infection that went into to the nerve which needs to be treated with root canal (for a tooth that never had infection). It is always the same story for each tooth he messes up during filling. I already heard multiple conversation of him talking about other clients with secretary about the same issue. His personnel is also unfortunately rude and does not try to fix anything. When you claim that you have a pain; they don't believe you and they only care about how to cover up the mistakes that he has done. If you want to see how dental malpractice and misconduct happens; go ahead and visit David Korb and ruin your life. I have already switched to another dentist for last 2 months and I am really happy that I got rid of his dental practice. I am putting this as a warning for other people. He needs to learn that it is time to "RETIRE" and leave his place to people that treat people in proper bedside manner and can take care of them when issues happen. read more

I have been going here based on a recommendation from a friend who has over 20 years with Dr. Korb. The first day I came in, he was trying out a new dentist, Dr. Haleh Merat. I have been with her for over 7 years now...and I love her work and demeanor. Everyone's friendly...and many of the hygenists are hotties (did I just say that?). They are very good about calling with changes or if I have a special request. I always pick Wednesdays to get my work done because Dr. Korb is off and the office is nice and quiet. And if you go, be sure to visit on Halloween, because everyone dresses up and this place is a riot! Oh...I have to share my favorite story: I was having a crown replaced and a molar filled. It was a long procedure and they offered me a movie while my work was done. They have tvs on the ceiling. Anyway...imagine this... I am getting worked on by Dr. Merat and two very attractive hygenists. Nobody else is in the office for a couple of hours. I chose the movie Total Recall. At the very moment that one of the steamy scenes with Sharon Stone comes on, Dr. Merat pauses for 2 minutes to cure the adhesive. So here I am, lying prone, 3 women hovering over me, all watching the same movie with a rather "adult" scene. Dr. Merat, without missing a beat, says "I'll bet you are enjoying this..." Ooooooohhhhhhh yeahhhhhh! Oh...and check out all the paintings in all the offices...Dr. Merat did them. read more

Dr. Korb has been my dentist since 1989. I can't say enough good things about his and Dr. Merat's professionalism and patience. They are skilled at working with patients who have experienced trauma and find it difficult to get through a dental visit. Their staff is friendly and really amazing at their jobs. I just took my daughter to Dr Merat yesterday. First we were greeted by the front office staff. They were so friendly and nice. They both greeted my daughter by name and said nice things to her. This was the first step in making her less nervous. Then we were taken back by Susie. What a rockstar! If I had invented the perfect person to work with kids at the dentist I couldn't do as well as Susie. She was super nice, kid-friendly, professional, put me at ease...I can't say enough. Then Dr Merat came in. She introduced herself to me while my daughter was being x-rayed, very professional, she was very nice to my daughter and her work was top-notch. She explained everything to me in a way that I could understand and let me stay with my daughter the entire time. She talked to my daughter throughout the entire procedure and asked her continually if she was OK. I would recommend this dentist to anyone! Pluses, there is a TV on the ceiling! They gave my daughter a goodie bag because it was her birthday last week, and a balloon and a prize! My poor girl had 3 fillings but as we were driving away she said "That was actually fun!" Let me start off by saying Dr Korb & Merat are amazing, as well as their Dental Hygienists! This rating has NOTHING to do with them. I've been coming to Dr. Korb since I was 4 years old (A very long time). I'm very sad to part ways with him, but after 2 very unpleasant experience with their front office, I've decide to find a new Dentist. 1st experience: Called to make an appointment back in May and was put on hold for a very long time (15 minutes) and then when they came back on I told them my name and that I had different insurance now and wanted to make sure that it was still accepted. The lady then put me back on hold and never came back on.... I hung up after another 15 minutes :/ *Warning long rant* 2nd experience: On July, 24th I called in the morning (around 9AM) to see if they had any openings by any chance (since calling day of) and the lady who answered the phone was very annoyed that I even asked that. I said that I've been coming here since I was 4 years old and was just seeing if by any chance that was possible since I ended up with the day off (working from home). She then pulled up my information and she very rudely said "You haven't even been seen here in 4 years!" I explained to her that I had a baby and after that I switched jobs and simply didn't make the time for myself. But now I am and would like to see if you take my current insurance and if there is any openings. If not today then when. She then said that there was a cancellation and that they had an appointment at 2PM that day. I told her I would take it. She still wasn't pleasant and I felt so uncomfortable the whole phone call. Well unfortunately a couple hours later I called back cause I was called back to work (I'm an EA and was planning a lager company meeting/event and something just came up last minute, and was out of my hands) So I called them right away seeing if by any chance we could please reschedule and I was very apologetic.The lady who answered said "of course" and put me on hold to grab my file. I was so relieved that it wasn't the same lady! But then unfortunately she came on (wish I would have got her name) she very rudely said "I WAS SAVING THAT APPT FOR YOU!!!! YOU CAN'T JUST CANCEL NOW, WE HAVE A WAITING LIST!" I told her that I was very sorry and that she never told me about the waiting list or that she was "doing me a favor". I explained to her that I felt very uncomfortable with the way she was talking to me and that she was extremely rude and unprofessional (She slightly laughed, and said I was). I couldn't believe how this lady was treating me!!! I told her that I understand that I called the day of and canceled a couple hours later (I felt horrible for the situation). But I felt like I was doing the right thing by calling right away and communicating to them and seeing what we could do. I felt like they still had a couple hours to get that appointment filled. I just couldn't stand the way I was treated and after a sometime past I still felt upset about this and felt like I should Yelp the situation. I can't believe that she has a job dealing with clients on a day to day basis. I have now found a new Dentist and hope that she doesn't treat others like this. read more

Okay...who loves thier dentist??? I do. Everyone is SO friendly and hard working. Both Dr.Merat and Susie stayed late at the end of the day for me for a "quicky" crown for a tooth that was bothering me. I really appreciated that since my time is really limited. Both the office and doctors are super caring too! They always seem to be able to accomindate my super busy schedule. Only fall back is they are not open on the weekend, but they are worth changing my work schedule to come during the week. Even my city boy husband can't believe they are so nice. I've been going here ever since I was teeny tiny, and the work they've done on my teeth has been remarkable. I have generally terrible teeth (thanks Hot Cheetos) and have probably had more fillings here than I can remember. They also accommodate for my needs after having had major jaw surgery, and they work carefully around my super sensitive teeth and gums. I also got my teeth bleached here after my braces were taken off, which was painful (as is all bleaching) but resulted in teeth that were several shades whiter. It didn't really last longer than a few months because I love wine and Hot Cheetos... So life tip, don't get your teeth bleached if you eat foods that stain. But otherwise it's totally worth it! Let me start by saying that both Drs. Korb and Merat are fantastic as are their hygienists! The office staff has been fairly good until recently when our 'adult' son went for a routine appointment sometime in early Jan. He would be turning 23 in Feb, so we made sure he went in before that. If they really cared, the office could have checked on his birthdate and made the follow-up appointment earlier, rather than in March - TWO months later, and right after he was no longer on our insurance and did not yet have any other replacement! When they made the appointment he just accepted it, and being busy with grad school did not even mention it to us. He went for this second appointment straight from campus, where he lives, and then went back. About two weeks ago we got a bill from the office for a little over $200. As it turned out, our son had already paid them a 'copay' of a little over $300. Today my husband went to the office and tried talking to the admins to see if they could accommodate us. But they refused to budge saying that 'He is an adult and he signed for it, and so he is financially responsible for the payment.' But he is still a student and not yet financially independent!! We are very sorry to have to do this, but we are taking our business elsewhere. Since they were so unwilling to work with us over a couple of hundred dollars, they have now permanently lost three clients! We had been going there for at least 7 years. read more

I am so happy I found Dr. Korb, through numerous friends who recommended him. Before then I had some very bad experiences, and as a result neglected my teeth. Dr. Korb and his staff are all professional, caring and gentle. Dr. Korb's assistant Susie is sweet and comforting. I have a problem that we live in Silicon Valley and the office has the capabilites of sending reminders to patients via phone, email etc...BUT...they REFUSE to take cancellations by email or even by leaving a message on the phone. I've been going to this dentist office practically my whole life and I'm now almost 25 years old. My grandfather went to Dr. Korb, my dad went to him, his siblings, their kids, my siblings and so on. Over the years since my parents were separated I had an off and on relationship with this dental office and had horrible experiences elsewhere. I have been going to Dr. Korb all my life. His staff is amazing. When I was 14, i had a terrible accident that knocked out 6 of teeth. Dr. Korb was able to completely reconstruct my mouth and my confidence. Dr. Korb is a perfectionist in every sense of the word. I normally don't write yelp reviews but since it has helped me find this awesome new dentist I thought I'd share my experience with others. I expected my first visit to take very long but it was just the opposite. I waited for about 5 mins before being seen, got straight to xrays and the dentist came in shortly after. He was very straight forward about my treatment plan. My previous dentist tried to "upsell" me services that were not covered by my dental insurance. Long story short, I walked out paying 2k cash for a service that didn't resolve my issue. Not at Dr. Korbs office...Staff is very friendly and welcoming. They made me feel like I had been a long time patient of theirs. Only bad thing is I wish I had found this office years ago!! read more
