The staff was polite and attentive upon drop off and pick up. The cost for the 4 items I dropped off actually ended up being fairly reasonable as well. I was just a bit concerned about that as I wasn't told upon dropping them off. I was given the option of how quickly these needed to be turned around. Overall a very good experience. Nothing to do with Herman Jackson's, but parking is always an adventure in San Marco and it would be nice if they had their own parking. It would also be nice to have an idea of what the cost was going to be before leaving the drop off but the fact that it was reasonable more than made up for that. Great place to use of you need a dry cleaner in Jacksonville. I recommend you give them a try.

Not only are pleasant and prompt, the quality of their work for the price is unbeatable in my opinion. I never have to worry about my clothing in their hands! Photo below shows their work with taking in a waistline and hemming up a skirt that I wore this past weekend as a bridesmaid (I am wearing a corset & skirt in the photo). They also steamed/pressed my top and skirt for free. In all, alterations cost $75 with a 1.5 or so week turn around (they could have gotten it done much sooner, but I was in no rush). In my opinion, that is an incredibly fair price for the absolutely incredible work they did! My skirt fit like a glove....better yet, it was a one and done deal. They got it perfect the first time and I have never gotten more compliments on how something has fit me. Recommend them so much so I am writing this review before I drop off items for service! Don't waste your time getting burned by other cleaners/alteration spots. Handicraft Cleaners gets it right the first time and every time!

When I arrived as scheduled, I was first told it would be an hour late, then informed it wouldn't be available until the next day -- no explanation, no apology. The staff, particularly the front desk employee (whose name began with "D"), was rude and dismissive. I was then told I could go pick it up myself from the plant where they outsource the cleaning -- a 25-minute drive each way. I ended up spending an hour driving to retrieve my own order, and when I asked the owner for a reasonable price adjustment for the inconvenience, he refused, stating he couldn't give it to me "for free" -- even though I never asked for that. He eventually offered a $15 credit for my next visit but made no apology and showed no concern for the inconvenience caused. I paid the full price, received poor service, and was treated with indifference. There was a complete lack of professionalism, accountability, or basic customer courtesy. I would not trust this business again -- especially if your items are time-sensitive or important.
